My go-to pedal for a Black Sabbath sound

This is one of the first pedals I got for my electric guitar, and it's solid. Great for whenever I get the itch to play Black Sabbath. I added a small black switch cover to make the switch easier to press.

Gain of the Gods

One of the best distortion /drive boxes you could ask for. Does the sabbath Tone perfectly. Likes humbuckers. Tons of gain and still great amount of string clarity for chords. Gets fuzzy when you want it too. Be warned it is a loud pedal amd even louder if you run it at 18 volts. If you have a noise gate lying around it throw it after this to clean up the noise, especially with a single coil equipped guitar.

Badass pedal

Hell yeah! This thing is what you need to get all the killer black sabbath tones....i use it into my boogie dual recto and hates pedals but not this one!!! Very cool pedal!!!!

Does Sabbath and More

I love this pedal... It's got all the boost and range I need to dial in some Iommi. That being said, I can get there also with other means, but it's usually via 2 pedals minimum, so it's convenient in that it has a small pedalboard footprint. It's very light and could benefit from a little weight for a guy like me who hates Velcro.

It can be really noisy, but there are various sweet spots and you can hear the very different Iommi sound jump to life when you nail them. I run a Maxon 808 in front of it to keep it honest and tame the squall it can produce.

Not bad for a stomp box. My only complaint, and this is a big one, the faint paint on each knob is IMPOSSIBLE to read without a flashlight. I don't have the controls memorized so I had to label them which more or less uglies up a beautiful piece of equipment. Dark maroon on black was a poor choice Catalinbread techs. White text would have been the better choice. Because of that, I opt more often for my incredibly well designed Walrus Audio Iron Horse with a Dongeomac Germanium treble booster in front of it. That combo nails the Sabbath sound as well through my rig(s). I'm sure on a future issue, this will be addressed.

All in all, it's a great added dimension of sound. A Sabbath channel for your rig. Cheers!
