Ruined tapes

This recorder ruined cassette tapes that were put in, we purchased 2 for our kids and they both ruined tapes new and vintage ones, we are so disappointed! Do not recommend, as the company did nothing to help

Portable Recorder & Cassette Player

I like this recorder. The only thing I don't like about it that my ear plugs does not work with it and I don't recall seeing where I could purchase one with it.

Unreliable simple product

The old technology of cassette tapes still has a useful purpose for me in communicating frequently with a subgroup of citizens for whom the message is more important than the tonal quality of the recording. For these people - those I provide with an important personal service of encouragement - the simple, basic (what I needed) Coby tape cassette essentially fails almost entirely to accomplish the mission for which I purchased it. The unit records but the resultant recorded product varies in speed across the 45 minutes of each side of the standard 90-minute Maxwell cassettes I use in quantity. It can be used but not far from the analogy of water-skiing behind a life raft. Probably should return the item, but the time and effort to do so is not merited by the low acquisition cost.

Several simple, low cost products like this which I’ve used in this particular project have similar deficiencies. I do not recommend this product.

Product still functional

The box is a little damaged and the plastic piece broke from the corner. Still functional but a little disappointed that I have to make a fix right out of the box.

Old School gets the job done.

Practicing for a work from home job phone interview. Old school tape recorder working very good for this use.

Player Okay; Recordings Bad

While listening to old cassette tapes it works well aside from the rewind button on my recorder. It will not rewind tapes unless I continually hold the button down. However, after recording... the sound quality is horrible on play back. The mechanical background noise overrides voices and music recordered.
