Stop cat from peeing on bed!

I’ve tried everything before, but this has worked best so far for keeping my one troubled cat off the bed and from peeing on it. As you can see in the video, I have layered water proof canvas with clear vinyl on top of the bed, but eventually they get tiny punctures from the claws that leak through. I got tired of still having to clean up puddles of pee from the top of the vinyl. I even covered the bed with sheets of foil, and that worked to keep him from getting on the bed, but I got tired of how ugly that looked all the time. Now, with this flashing light and siren I’ve found a solution to just keep him off the bed once and for all. I used the charging method for power. No need for solar power with this, so it’s suitable for indoors if needed. There are 4 options of control, so I turn off the siren at bedtime. Just the light flashes at night when I’m sleeping, and that doesn’t bother me at all. In the morning after making the bed, I put the siren back on. Works great. He associates the flashing light with the potential siren sound. Definitely important to utilize the siren for training, otherwise the cat gets used to the silent flashing light and he will ignore it and pee. The sound is what is most effective in training. Love it! I’m going to get another one for the dog’s bed just for training, until that cat stops peeing there too.

Bears don’t seem to care

Update.. Bears are not alarmed by these lights / Sirens. Sirens work intermittently and are loud, maybe the noise will keep the mountain lions at bay, time will tell. I wanted to like these. We have various motion flood lights and these hoping the motion sirens would scare off predators from our duck pond. The sirens stopped working after the first time and the mode button is not clear which function you are using. Would not recommend this particular product. Hoping to find something like this that actually works as advertised.

I love theses light alarms

Good addition to yard security.

I bought these two detectors at separate times. They’ve been working about eight months from where I mounted them on a wooden fence paralleling my driveway. They are in partial shade but seem to get enough sun to work ok. I keep them in night mode, flashes only. If a prowler walks up the drive at night they will begin flashing letting him know that he has “triggered something”. So far so good.

They accumulated moisture inside (see pics) but still worked. I unscrewed the backs and am leaving them open indoors to dry out. I’m hoping the moisture does not affect the operation later.

They are a good value , easy to use, and if they scare off one burglar they are absolutely worth it.

Update in February 2023. Both lights are still working fine after more than one year of service. I still regard them as an excellent security enhancement purchase.

Works somtimes

Did scare off the beast a couple of times but this time he must have been very hungry. Happy still with my purchase.

worked for about 1 month, vendor replaced.

It is easy to setup. There are 4 modes and the mode is selected by depressing button on back and observing setup light flashes (1 flash for mode 1, 2 flashes for mode 2 and so on). There is a label on back with mode information (day/night & Light or light/siren). The unit is rather small but works. I initially charged it and placed outside. My worked for about a month and then once detected motion the leds and siren would go off but would not shut off (modes 1 & 3). The only way to shut off siren/alarm was to depress button to change mode. Modes 2 and 4 (flashing leds) continued to work as expected (detected motion, leds flashing and turned off in about 30-45 seconds). Contacted the vendor, they responded same day and are sending a replacement. I do like the unit and it does generally put off deer and a bear. It is rather loud and irritating, which is what you want in an alarm. I procured this to deter a bear but is also deter deer.

It worked for a couple of weeks and then the sensor area melted and wrapped and the alarm wouldn't stop

I would like the broken one replaced.

One that was delivered the speaker was broke out of it. the box was not damaged so it was packed broken. I bought two the good one works great .

Not a sound was made

It didn’t go off the bear came and sat on the porch and it did not go off

Works great in the garden , chases deer away caught them on camera in the garden ,soon as the motion picks up the lights and alarm go off ,They run like deer...Just ordered 2 more for other areas. Piercing sound actually throws my hearing aids off. Have to turn off hearing aids to set.
