Over all a good mic, it can pick up a lot of sound

I paid $37 for this, did not have missing part issue.

I use this mic with a Scarlett solo and I like it. I can set the gain very low and still pick up many good quality sound. I even tried if it can record me singing, the sound is not bad but honestly it have a little limit to pick up higher pitch, it's not made for that.

It preformed a lot better than my last $30 fancy "gaming" looking broom mic. This little thing fufills most of my recording needs, zoom, gaming, voice over, self Karaoke, I hope it can last.

Good quality, great option for xlr lav mic

Shipping was fast, quality is good, sounds great. Very easy to use with pro equipment. No need for a direct box or adapter.

Strong clasp and materials

Was surprised by the quality of the materials, seems really durable! The Clasp is also very strong and holds well! The wire is long and has a decent amount of flex so it’s not uncomfortable. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a nice cost effective mic especially for travel.

Outstanding Quality

I was more than pleased when I finally got my Comica Lav Mic! It was everything I had hoped for, and perfect in price range too. The quality you get with this mic is unbeatable. Place your mic where you want it, and it is going to pick up every sound around you. It is amazing. My project sounds now will be much more crisp and clear and that is exactly what I wanted. The added bonus is that it comes with two different noise screens, with the wind muff one being specifically for outside where you get wind and noise from all around you to help reduce wind sound interference. My recordings are mostly done indoors, but now I have that option to be able to take it out in a noise, windy area and get great audio! The cord that comes with it is longer than my 5'1 frame but to be exact the one I have is 5.9 of soft silicon wire, plenty for my needs. The mic clip is very sturdy and made of metal which is fantastic and it won't break since it is not plastic. I love that. What I did wish it included is an adapter to use with a DSLR or smartphone, that would have been awesome.

The manufacturer recommends not to record outside because it is an omnidirectional mic and it will catch all the noise around you from the wind to the traffic passing by, standing about 5 feet away you should get good sound. If you can't afford an expensive mic, this is something I would recommend.

Good for indoor interviews.

This mic goes well with the right gear. Made with professional cameras in mind. This XLR lavalier mic has good sound. It does need phantom power, make sure your camera or recording devices provide 48v phantom power in order for the mic to work. The XLR connection delivers the best sound reproduction however, if you wanted to use this with your phone or a regular dslr camera you would need an adapter which is not provided. The company does make different types of mics with regular mini stereo connections to be compatible with phone and regular consumer cameras.

I have used it for my podcast and a few interviews. The quality in sound is good and you can take it further if you are familiar with audio editing. The cord is about five and half feet long which is good enough for upclose recordings or you could connect it to a wireless system to extend the length.

They recommend not to record audio outside because of the fact it is omni directional which means its picks up the sound from all around. I did use it outside in order to see how good or bad the quality would turn out and to be honest it was very decent in the high wind. I have added a video here if you want to hear it for yourself.

The clip and mic feel sturdy and well constructed. They also provide a dead cat or wind muff in order to help reduce wind sound interference.

Overall I'm satisfied with this product. It would be nice if they provided an adapter for those people who do not have dslr cameras with XLR input, or to be able to record audio from this mic to a phone.

Great low cost mic!

The Comica CVM-O2 is a low cost omnidirectional XLR microphone. Being XLR it does need 48v phantom power and can be connected to professional equipment. The body of the mic is small. Smaller than a Sure SM 93 or Sony ECM55 Mic. But the actual mic itself is larger than the Shure and roughly similar to a Sony ECM 44 or 55. It has a metal body and non-removable microphone cord. It does not have an integrated belt clip like the Shure mic does.

The mic clip is somewhat integrated. It can be removed and slid back on the cable. But, I wasn’t able to easily remove it completely as the clip won’t clear the upper part of the mic capsule.

It comes with both a foam windscreen and dead cat. The cat is pretty big, but works well and has an integrated slip tie to hold it in place when in use.

I think this is a great option for those on a tight budget. The Comica CVM-O2 is a decent mic at a great price. I have compared it to 3 other mics and maybe its not as technically good as the competition, but will you really notice that on YouTube or the internet? I seriously doubt it. It has good sound reproduction and comes complete with 2 windscreens.

I only want 2 additions to this mic. First a belt clip. That’s very handy for securing the mic when in use. Second make the mic part removable. But at this price point its just as easy to get a whole new mic if the cable breaks.

So if you have a camera or audio recorder that has XLR inputs and you need a budget friendly mic this is a great option. I feel quite comfortable saying that I can recommend this mic.

Best Bang for the Buck XLR Lav

I was skeptical at first when looking at the price, but this microphone is great. The build quality is fantastic, featuring an all-metal body with a removable screw to access the XLR solder connections. You can actually plug this unit directly into an XLR port on a camera or audio mixer thanks to the port on the top being the correct diameter. No batteries required is a great selling point, too.

The rubber stress relief along the bottom and top of the cable makes me feel confident in the longevity of the product. The cable itself is made of quality material, and is long enough for almost any scenario. A metal alligator clip is included in the package, and fits perfectly on the microphone. Speaking of the microphone, the build quality follows along with the rest of the product and is great for the price. The included windscreen also does a great job blocking out unwanted noise. The box also includes a dead cat windsock for remote shooting.

The sound quality coming out of this mic is almost on part with one double or triple the price. There is no hiss or noise cutoff as can be found in similarly priced lavaliers, and the sound itself it authentic and easy to work with when editing.

This microphone is perfect for the price, and can be used in almost any situation. Whether you're shooting on a camcorder, DSLR, or professional cameras, the Comica CVM-V02O can get the job done. You may need to purchase a little soft or hard carrying case to store the mic in, as the packaging itself isn't too suitable for storage. Just remember to purchase an adapter to go from XLR to 3.5mm if you plan on using this for lower-end cameras.

Happy with it

Im really happy with the clean sound that this microphone delivers. Im using it with a Behringer UMC 202 HD audio interface and as you guys may see on my video the audio quality is awesome for my Youtube videos.

In terms of the package it comes with a dead cat, to reduce wind noise when recording outside.

Built quality is nice, the XLR connector is built out of metal, and the only weak point that i see on every single microphone is the wire but there are no miracles there.

Overall im really happy with its sound quality and almost no background noise.

A great little mic package for the price.

This mic is decent for the price. Build quality is good and it comes with an extra ("dead cat") wind screen, which helps reduce rumble in breezy conditions. It's an all-metal build with good sound. While you will experience improved sound quality from higher priced mics, this does a great job for the price.

Looks good, feels good

Pros: Highly durable, comes with wind muff, just works. Sounds as good as any wireless lav system under $500.

Cons: For the price, none.

Thoughts: This mic is a really affordable option to have in your kit when you just need an extra mic on someone. At 100hz to 12kHz it's not going to give you broadcast quality sound, but then again, you're paying less than $40 - and if you're just uploading to YouTube, your mic will sound just as good as anyone elses due to video compression.

Paired with my Zoom H4N, EXCELLENT for YouTube audio recording!

I bought this lav mic (yes I paid full price) specifically to use with my Zoom H4N recorder while shooting YouTube videos. So far I am super impressed with its performance for the price!! If you're looking for a lav mic that could work with your smart phone or a variety of sub professional grade HD cameras, then you might want to try one with a 3.5mm headphone jack input instead, however if you're looking for a mic specifically to use with a recorder like or any device with an XLR 3 pin jack. For those who have lower end camera equipment, if it has an accessory shoe, you can probably purchase an XLR input attachment that would work with this but keep in mind you'll have to buy something additional.

Assuming you have the XLR in/output jack, this little mic does a FANTASTIC job for this price. The competition in terms of sound quality can still beat it but will cost something like $150 MORE than this mic, and the quality difference isn't $150 different in my opinion. I would say it's about $50 different. That being the case, this little guy is more than adequate for my needs! It truly is omnidirectional. Wherever you clip it, it's going to pick up sound from every angle (which is something important to keep in mind for both good and bad reasons). The cord is PLENTY long (see pic) for you the thread it beneath a shirt, under a table and out of camera shot (in my case). The whole thing is really well made and feels very sturdy, right down to the alligator clip which is metal. One complaint I have is that the clip could be a little smaller in my opinion, but it holds really well. I love that it comes with two different noise screens, with the 'rabbits foot' one being specifically for outdoors or active applications where you might get wind or movement noise. Since most of my recording is done indoors I probably won't need it but it's great to have!

I love that it doesn't need batteries and flawlessly draws phantom power from my Zoom recorder without a lot of fuss. The resulting sound is crisp, clear and FAR superior to using native mics on smart phones or video cameras. At this point in time I also find it preferable (and a LOT cheaper) to having to set up, carefully position and use a shotgun mic on a cumbersome boom pole.

In short, if you have the ability to capture XLR input audio, I HIGHLY recommend this mic! I promise you won't find anything even close to this quality of sound in this price class elsewhere! Two thumbs way up!

Good for Zoom Pro

Doesn't work with my Sony FDR-AX100 But works great with my friends Zoom Pro. She didn't have a mic with her to hook up to it so its not in her face so I let her borrow this one and the audio came out good. The cable is nice and long and it clips nicely to your shirt. Definitely something to use if you want a good mic that won't be a big eye sore in your videos.

Works great with my TASCAM Dr-40

Works great with my TASCAM Dr-40.

Things I like:

- Durable material

- Long enough cable.

- Small deadcat for windy environments

- Tough clip

- Sounds good

Things I don't like:

- Would like a good carry case for it

There is not much to not like about this lav mic. It is under 40 bucks and can't complain about it. It's nice to have another mic to use with my TASCAM DR-40.
