Static beeps
Rythmic static/beeping noise throughout the video, making it pretty much unusable.

The attached video speaks volumes more than my words can regarding the outstanding sound quality and range of this small but powerful microphone. It’s versatility is demonstrated in how it successfully serves the purposes for which I bought it, for work in the studio and out in the field. It mounts easily to my camera cage, is compatible with my Panasonic GH7, has a sleek appearance and has proven durable in the field, especially as test in an extremely hot environment.

This is absolutely a poor choice in mic.

I tried all the options tried switching the cable around it did NOT work I was super excited for this mic since I saw all the great things about it in the reviews it still came in a really nice case all the materials look to be made out of great quality it doesn’t feel cheap the red bracket does seem a little flimsy but I suppose it needs to be a little to have the shock absorbing tech. Really bummed out I want to give this a really good review but unfortunately the only thing that it’s designed to do is not happening. I’m gonna give it a three star because it of the build quality but man…. Stuck out.

As a Sports Broadcasting videographer for 30 years this microphone works well as secondary shotgun mic for interviews and nat sound. We had the opportunity to use this mic during a red-carpet event in Houston, Tx and it worked awesome for getting interviews with the people, it really isolated their interviews from all the loud noise and people around us. I love all the accessories you get with this microphone kit like the mic holding mount, the cables to use with your cell phone and digital camera, the foam wind sock and the dead cat tail during strong winds BUT- THE DEAD CAT WILL GET IN YOUR SHOT if your shooting wide so keep that in mind- now you can zoom in a little but then that can be a challenge if you're doing interviews so I just stuck with the foam wind sock. This is a great product, so for all my broadcasters and photojournalist this is a must have if you're using your cellphone.

Muy buen accesorio práctico y de buena calidad, muy recomendable

Came with carrying case, muffler, wind muffler, one cord for phone connection, one cord for camera connection, microphone, and microphone mount. Pics up clear sounds with the muffler on will have to test without it as well as test with the wind muffler outside too. I'm a beginner with all the camera stuff so this is a great tool if you've never used something like this or just getting started! I say buy it!

Great little mic for the price. Comes with a black semi hard case and there's two different types of mic overs that come with it. Good purchase if you want a directional mic for recording video on your camera. I have an old Sony A65 I use this with. Great sound so far.

Purchased two and modified Comica microphone to function as Right and Left stereo microphone for use on Canon DSLR. Modification details attached for your use and consideration. Resulting acoustic performance was good. Maybe a future option will be available to purchase microphone as a right and a left pair using mono plugs instead of internal bridged stereo plugs.
One star off on materials due to lack of using a genuine "shock absorbing material" for "isolation" by the red isolator suspending the black aluminum body housing the microphone capsule AND the use of plastic material for the camera shoe mount and tightening lock nut, quality would be use of aluminum not plastic in the mount. Was also expecting use of a material other than stiff "regular plastic" for the shock mount to better isolate transmission of vibration. My use was indoors on a tripod mounted camera with good results with a male speaker 10 to 50 feet away. Achieved a good sonic stereo outcome.

This little microphone is amazing. I have compared the sound quality against the RODE mic that this one looks extremely close to and the sound quality is nearly identical.

The microphone comes with everything you need to get set up in a nice carrying case. It includes adapters for both smartphones and cameras, and a regular microphone cover in addition to a dead cat. It is easy to put together and works great with my Panasonic G-85 camera. The audio quality is much clearer and sharper than what I get from the camera's built-in microphone. The build quality is solid and the price is right.

I actually like this mic a lot I got the pixel but it was too large for travel so I got this one instead and love the size.... 4 stars because it came in a beat up box lol but thankfully it comes with a super nice case and nothing was broken!!!

Had been considering a shotgun mic for our GoPro to do some outdoor recording of our son playing a trumpet solo for a class assignment. He normally used a Sure SM57 in his home studio, but that mic is not easily adapted to a GoPro. After looking at various compact shotgun mic's such as the Sure VP83 ($180), the Rode Videomic ($150), and the Sennheiser MKE 400 ($165), we decided to give the Comica CVM-VM10II ($40) a try first.
The mic comes with 2 cables. One is for connecting to a camera, and the other is for connecting to a phone, although many phones are no longer available with a round jack. The camera cable was perfect to adapt to the GoPro Hero 8 with the Media Mod, which is necessary in order to connect to the GoPro. The cold-shoe mount on the isolater works great. No batteries are required, as this is a passive mic.
We recorded a session in a parking lot on the outskirts of town. Someone started a motorcycle and rode out of the lot behind me about 1 minute into the first recording. I thought that we would need another take, but was delighted to find that the Comica's supercardioid function effectively omitted the motorcycle, while picking up the character of the instrument. Although we did another take, it was not necessary. The sound quality is very good, and the mic does a great job of capturing the trumpet's dynamic range. The Comica CVM-VM10II is a very good product at an excellent price - highly recommend!

The quality for this mic is superb! I couldn’t find reviews that tested the mic for other noises/sounds other than voices/vlogging. I will definitely be recording more than just bird chirps , but now I’m satisfied knowing that it picks up further sounds well.

This is a great mic for the price and I think very hard to beat. The shock mount is good quality in comparison to others in the price range. I don’t see it braking as easy and that was my primary reason for purchasing the comica. I have no complaints with the mic. The one noticeable thing that might be a complaint to others is the mic isn’t going to be great for distance but it’s not designed to be used that way. Goes great with the canon g7x iii

Drastically improves audio when compared to built in camera on smartphone. No complaints. Not cheaply made.

I really enjoyed using this product, the Comica CVM-VM10II is a very well-made microphone.
I can see myself using this atop my DJI Osmo Action Camera or my DSLR.
The fidelity of this microphone is far superior to the muffled internal microphones of most cameras.
Included with your purchase are a windscreen, wind-jammer, case, and two cables for connecting to standard 1/8" ports or into a mobile device.
Disclaimer: Comica gave me this product to try.

Great sound and quality for the price. It's a must have for any dslr or other recording device.

As for many of you content creators already know that a video with no good sound quality can be a bit boring and not fun to watch But with this Comica CVM-VM10II is a great shotgun microphone that works really well with either your DSLR Camera or your smart phone, will help improve your video audio/voice quality and make your videos sound more professional and fun to watch. It has a great crisp sound quality and does a great job at canceling out unwanted noise in the background and especially with the wind blocker(dead cat) it makes a big difference if shooting outside in a strong wind. It is a great mic for vlog, close up interviews or even for a studio set up. I’m going to have to be honest, I found more Pro's than Con's for this Comica CVM-VM10II mic..
Pros:
1. Ability to have a stereo to smartphone cord and a stereo to a camera cord.
2. An audio jack splicer to use it which to compare with a Rode mic, it doesn't include but the Comica CVM-VM10 does.
3. Powered on by the Device. It Automatically powers up once connected on a DSLR camera or a smart phone. This is really helpful not worrying about switching batteries or even charging the mic.
4. It is small and light weight for those of you who like to vlog and not carrying around a big mic.
5. Both for smart phone and DSLR
Cons:
1. Honestly I could not find any cons on this mic. I loved everything on it.
I highly recommend this VideoMic to anyone looking for great Audio on a budget without breaking the bank. It is honestly less money but amazing quality that comes out from the mic is unbeatable. You will not regret it!

I have not used this much, so stay tuned for a follow up; however, I do like what's in the box. This hooked right up to my iPhone X with the phone's adapter, and installed in the cold shoe mount as expected. The quality is nice, the sounds seems to be nice, and the included case is nice. I will update review once I have more opportunity to interact with the mic.
The video shows contents of the box, as well as provides a small sample of sound quality in a controlled setting (my office), while being very near the microphone. I have not yet determined if sound quality drops off significantly with more distance.
Edit 5/14/18: I have now filmed a few videos for my you tube channel, n1 qualified man, and have to say i'm not super impressed with the sound quality. If the sensitivity of the mic is any better than the built-in mics on my iPhone X, I can't tell. Furthermore, I've encountered the following issues:
1. When using this on a tripod with my iPhone, this microphone pics up the vibrations caused by my air conditioning. These travel from the attic, where the unit is located, down the walls, through the floor, and up the tripod to cause a very loud hum in the video that has to be removed in post.
2. Sound is fine when filming using the FilmicPro app on the iPhone, which adjusts the levels, but when using the iPhone's built-in camera the audio clips and becomes useless. I was very disappointed to find this out after watching back a couple of hours worth of footage.
Joelster
This mic works great with my Note 8 and Gimbal, the sound is very lous and clear, the sound deflector included does help a lot reducing wind noice, just make sure you decide if you want to record your voice while recording the mic is facing you or front if you are doing an interview since the mic narrows the audio as this is a shotgun mic.

Taking the price into consideration, this is a 5 star product. I use it with the Filmic Pro app to make home movies on my iPhone. I don’t record a lot of dialogue as most of my movies are put to music and played in slow motion at times, but this little mic is a big step up in audio quality from the mic in my phone and is a must have for anyone wanting decent audio. It’s plug and play so there’s virtually no set up...simple to use!
The dead cat does shed quite a bit when new, but after trimming it with scissors and using it a few days the shedding has slowed down a lot.
@joshdcar on instagram to see a short movie I made using this mic.

OMG I am so pissed off.... I just got home from shooting a RWB build and I totally got screwd over by this mic. I have been using the Rode for some time but recently I bought a large muff for it and I didnt like the attention it was getting.
So I started to look for a smaller mic and found this Comica with tons of great reviews. I am floored now that I am home checking my footage.... there is unbelievable hissing and static noise in probably 70% of my shots. The other 25% the mic didnt even record any sound at all....
This was used on a Sony a6500.
I will upload a video so you guys can hear it but FML.... not cool... I will be going back to the Rode as that has never failed me.
terrible!!!

A great little microphone that I can leave on my DSLR all day long while recording Nature and recording my voice outdoors. Impressed with the build quality and not having to burn through triple A batteries. A significant improvement over the built in camera mic. I made a YouTube review so if you type in " COMICA Micro Compact Video Microphone Review " you should get it to show up at the top in YT search.

Great build. Super compact and made of metal. Comes in a nice case with two wind screens (foam and "muff") and two cables, one for smartphones (TRRS-TRS) and another for cameras (TRS-TRS). Does not need a battery. Sound quality is good, not like a $200+ mic, but very good. When used close up, it has a focused capture and does seem to reduce some of the ambient noise. When used from farther away (3 feet +) it does pick up more room sound, but that's normal. I used this as an overhead shotgun by adding an extension cable and the sound was similar to my $1000 shotgun mic. No kidding! Super compact and plug & play. I highly recommend this product at this price.

A fantastic, well built microphone. Perfect for vloggers!

Impressed with the quality for the low cost. I put it up against my Rode Vidmic Pro and there is not much of a difference. Works great with my Sony a6500.
Love that it comes with a dead cat and regular windscreen.
Also comes with a chord for camera and smartphones.

The Comica CVM-VM10 II MICRO Compact Condenser Shotgun Video Microphone is identical to the first version of this mic, except that this mic has a newly designed stand (shock mount). It's a solid shotgun mic and a an alternative to the Rode VideoMicro. Perfect for vlogging among other things. It's compact and lightweight and the build quality is very nice too. Best bang for your buck in my opinion, you get a windscreen, windmuff, 3.5 mm jack cable for camera and one for smartphones plus a very nice case. I personally like the stand on this one better than the VM10.
