Mr. Said What?

This thing sucks.

This thing sucks. It always dies at the worst time. I charge it all the time. Yet it still dies

I charge it either daily or every other day. It does not track as well as they claimed and its all around bad. Was excited about q1 charging but I have to use the cord. May as well be using an old corded mouse and saved my money. Stuck with this junk

Peeling

-2 stars because it's peeling. I've had it for a couple months I love the feel and the grip but the paint is bubbling and I'm just about to acitone it off.

Good mouse, cheap rubber.

This is a pretty good mouse. I love the weight and the thumb and pinky rests. I'm not the biggest RGB fan, but it looks nice on this mouse. It's very responsive, ad the battery life is decent. The wireless charging is great, I just place mine on a charging pad when I go to bed. Software for it is ok, not great.

I have two criticisms of the mouse. The mouse wheel would be perfect if it had tilt to scroll sideways on it. And the BIG issue, the rubber on the grip is CHEAP and thin. Mine started wearing out after maybe a month. It's very irritating. I've now had it for four months. Mine has smoothed out now and it bugs me less, but the entire right side is now degraded.

Good but breaks fast (scroll wheel)

I love corsair, i have a fully built pc with almost everything corsair (fans case keyboard cooler ram) but i got this mouse early July and EARLY october my scroll wheel seems to be damaged / broken… Whenever i use the scroll wheel to go down or up, it will go down or up randomly (example: if im scrolling down on a page it’ll scroll down but then it’ll randomly scroll up. Same with scrolling up, it’ll randomly scroll down). I haven’t dropped the mouse, haven’t hit it with anything so idk why this started 2-3 weeks ago

Good Feel. Works great connected to USB. RF/BT lack luster.

What's the use of having a wireless mouse if the connectivity is lackluster? My Dark Core is 12.5 inches from the RF USB Adapter, but its performance is below average. Bluetooth signal is sporadic. My PC sits on my desk, but the signal between the mouse and my mini gaming PC is spotty. Maybe there has been a degradation because when I first purchased this, I had no issues for the first 30 days; now, I can't trust this device to work via wireless. I give it the 3 stars because of the wireless performance, but the look, feel, and additional finger support accessories keep me from ranking it lower.

Cheaply made! Coating rubbed off after 1 month.

Wear a ring on right finger and in just a month the mouse coating is rubbed off. Used to be a quality product. I replaced the same exact mouse that I had for 3 years with no wear on the cover. Wont be buying another.

Not worth the ammount of money

I bought this mouse because of the great reviews. I saw on YouTube. Sadly, there was one thing no one mentioned except on here, which I didn't believe since the youtubers never covered it, but It seems like it's a real thing. The scroll wheel on this thing does not work or is defective. Sometimes you'll scroll down and It'll go up down up down. It just goes wild so I don't think this is worth the one hundred dollars that they asked for, but i do love it. it's a great mouse I think this is the first mouse that converted me to Bluetooth as well. Everything about it is great. I love the side panel that I can change it, too add that little extra fin, but the scroll wheel just ruins it.you have to understand that that scroll wheel can be very important, even just clicking the scroll wheel down will activate it to scroll up or down and it won't stay still. I've read fixes on Reddit about blowing into the scroll wheel to fix it which it seems like it does for a moment and that sometimes it's dirty from the inside and messes with the sensors, but it wouldn't make sense because this was happening even the 1st day that I got it. I would recommend it if it's on sale for anything below $60. But for the $100 price, definitely not worth it. Unless they have a

Something that fixes that issue Without us, having to send it back To them, or even having to open it up 'cause that defeats the purpose of buying it., the support team is helping me out. So that's awesome. We'll see how it goes. If the new one they send me has the same issue or not.. update: the scroll wheel is an issue of some but not all.. so a gamble, 2 the plastic sticker? Whatever they use for the grip fails and peels off ugly and it looks like a clear plastic under shell.. not even worth 50 bucks.. youre paying for brand not quality...

Scroll Wheel known issue-BEWARE

I really wanted to love this mouse. It started off fantastic, but within a month the scroll wheel began randomly shifting the page up or down at the end of a scroll. Even while not playing games, this is a constant irritation as I work in a lot of spreadsheets. I paid $15 for a replacement mouse as I was past the 30 day refund point. The replacement mouse did exactly the same thing. Buyer beware!

Quit charging after 2 months

Looks pretty but quit charging after two months. Better off using a corded mouse at a fraction of the cost. Have tried multiple wireless charging pads with same result. Of course it's just outside the return period. Corsair should focus on quality over design. Have issues with my keyboard as well.

Great working mouse

My only issue after less than four months is that the coating is coming off already.

Really bummed because this mouse syncs with my Whirlwind FX keyboard so well.

Great mouse, poor choice of materials

I love this mouse. It is comfortable to use, software works great, (iCue takes some getting used to, but it is not the end of the world) Battery life is ok - I charge it a couple of times a week, but you can still use it while charging - it just becomes a wired mouse for half an hour. Plus, you can charge it wirelessly - I use the same charging pad that I charge my phone on. The only real issue is the material they selected to cover the upper back of the mouse with. It reacts to sweat and melts away. See the pictures - this is just 4 month of light gaming. Other than that, a great product.

UPDATE: My mouse is working just fine, but is no longer recognized by iCue! I think it might be a cookie problem. But, you guys are an industry leader?! WTH!?

Conclusion: Corsair is only for enthusiasts who are willing to invest time and money into getting their systems to look gorgeous.

As a Corsair fan, I’m disappointed.

I really like Corsair. When my M65 Pro that I had for 3-4 years broke, I decided to stick with Corsair because that’s where my brand loyalty lies. I’ve had this mouse for two months. And already, the scroll wheel is messed up. It is not a smooth experience. The wireless dongle also needs to be close enough for it not to stutter at all, and luckily a usb extender fixed that issue. But I will be giving this mouse away and probably ordering a different brand. For $80, this is unacceptable.

Great hardware, buggy software.

After about a year of use I can confirm that the mouse is great! Customizable grip, battery lasts for a long time, button placement is ergonomic and all of the buttons feel nice. It has nice uniform lighting, comes with a long braided cord, the mouse glides smooth, the cord and mouse are USB-C, and the dongle easily fits inside the mouse so your won't lose it while traveling. It also feels great with any grip type, loose, claw, fingertip, natural, etc., and the overall weight and balance feel superb, as well as the material around the mouse. It works great for long gaming sessions or twelve hours of office work. You can code macros to help with Excel tasks, open a specific app, or have a different set-up for each game you play. Overall the hardware engineering that went into the mouse is 11/10, and the components are durable. That being said...

The only downside is that Corsair can't or won't fix the bug that's been in their software since it was created in 2018. It just doesn't play nice with any version of Windows consistently. Four people in my house all have different hardware and software configurations, and we've experienced this bug with multiple PCs and laptops for over five years now. When you boot your PC iCue sometimes won't load at all or won't detect some or all of the Corsair hardware. Mouse, keyboard, mousepad, RAM, fans, AIO cooler, headset etc. The only way to fix it is to reboot the PC or hope that unpluging and repluging in the device works. This not only affects lighting, but fan and pump settings, keyboard and mouse bindings, and general operation of the device. Sometimes the mouse won't even work, because the software won't detect it. Dozens of My friends have had this issue. It happens at least once a week on Windows 10 and 11. Doesn't matter what hardware you have, and no amount of troubleshooting fixes it. Corsair is the only option if you want a centralized, single program controlling all of your devices. RAZER products are borderline garbage at this point and typically breakdown within six to eight months of regular use, and their software is basically bloatware that data mines your PC constantly. Logitech makes hardware that lasts seemingly an eternity, but their software is lacking options, confusing and dated. So when Corsair's software works you've got the best of the best with a mostly user friendly interface. Choose your poison I guess. I wish they'd fix the heart of their ecosystem instead of sinking millions a month into making new products that'll all have the same problem, but this is your best option overall.

I've been repairing, testing, and building PC's components and peripherals since the 90's, so I still get very much hands on with RAZER, Logitech, and Corsair products for work and personal use. From replacing semiconductor components and capacitors to resoldering replacement switches and diodes, to fixing software bugs when possible. Corsair uses high grade components for their hardware, and their hardware engineers seem to be top notch from the work that I've seen. In my experience, they're the best.

Great feeling mouse, poor quality

Personally, this is one of the best feeling wireless mouses. It has great weight to it and pretty decent connectivity. Biggest issue is the quality. I’ve had 2 of these mouses, the first one lasted about 1.5 years before having double clicking issues. I bought a new one in august, now in December, I’m having mouse wheel issues. Not small ones either, I can’t even scroll down a webpage without it taking me a whole minute. It’s sad considering it’s only been about 3 months and I paid $80.

Great mouse sadly software isn't quite there yet.

Okay this is by far one of the best mice I've used for a Windows PC and by far one of the best looking. Corsair has really gone the extra mile on this mouse and it has almost every feature you can think of.

Pros:

Great feel and it has a removable right finger (pinky) rest that can be easily added and removed.

All the buttons and lights can be custom programmed to do exactly what you want it to do.

You can switch between profiles at the click of the center mouse button.

It is as responsive as you want it to be from a slow crawl to lightning fast (probably for games).

It is extremely accurate for those of us that are artist this is down to the pixel level of accuracy.

Uses USB, Bluetooth and 24Ghz options with 24GHz or wired USB being the best options.

Comes with 24GHz dongle which is absolutely TINY!!! It will not get in your way.

*The iCUE software is extensive and robust. One of the best I have seen. *see Cons.

Cons:

Sadly as with much of the RGB software out there even the well designed iCUE software isn't perfect. Often when waking the computer the mouse is not recognized and remains dark. I have to open and restart the iCUE software to get the mouse to light up. And sometimes the system doesn't recognize the mouse at all until I change it's mode several times. This can make it difficult to log into Windows having to use the Tab Key to get to the password box rather than clicking on it with the mouse.

They claim compatibility with ASUS systems but that is FAR from true. Yes, you can control the motherboard lights but only the motherboard lights. You cannot control any light headers, memory cards or other Aura supported lights. iCUE is NOT Aura complaint. Because you cannot control the Aura compliant headers, you MUST run the Armory Crate software from ASUS. Sadly these two programs do not play nice. Each time I wake the system I must reset the Armory Crate software as the iCUE software will override it EVEN when the iCUE software feature that controls the ASUS motherboard is turned off.

These kind of conflicts are not uncommon with RGB software.

Summary:

If you want your RGB to work, stick to one company. I cannot recommend this mouse if you want to use it's RGB features UNLESS, you have purchased your entire system through Corsair or only want the RGB on the mouse alone. DO NOT MIX with other RGB brands. The company will shine you on and admit they do not plan to fix it regardless of motherboard.

IF however you have all Corsair hardware, then this mouse is a must. I have yet to see a better one. And don't confuse this one with the similar looking cheaper mouse. This is the Pro SE.

NOTE: I have not yet been able to diagnose why the mouse is not always recognized but unplugging the USB and plugging it back in tends to resolve the problem. It may be local to ASUS motherboards.

I'd really love this mouse it it worked as was advertised.

Great upgrade!

Finally upgraded from my old corsair glaive to this one and it was a great upgrade, i was gonna buy the same one but its discontinued so i started my search for another corsair mouse. I have a slightly large hand so it’s difficult to find a comfortable mouse. After trying 2 other corsair mouses this one was by far my favorite and and most comfortable much better than my last one as well. Its also my first wireless gaming mouse and its a game changer less cables on my setup. Highly recommend for people who have large hands.

Had a problem connecting this to ICUE, all you have to do is plug it in via the usb C and it should connect and work just fine.

Excellent mouse, but bottom scratches easily.

I love the feel and features of the mouse. It is incredibly ergonomic and has tactile buttons. The wireless charging function is easy to use. However, only after a few weeks of use, the bottom of my mouse began to accumulate multiple scratches despite being placed on a clean, smooth surface. Moreover, you can only customize the lights when connected to a computer using the included receiver, not over bluetooth. The unit I received had a slightly off-centered wheel and does not properly click to the right. Works great with mac and has nice, bright lights.

Impulse buy, pleasantly surprised.

Purchased on a whim after handling one in BestBuy. I like the way it feels in my hand and especially the finger rests on both sides. I do use it for gaming some but mostly it's my favorite daily driver, browsing etc. The lights on the mouse are great, very bright. Aesthetically, I love it. For gaming? Meh. Not terrible but man is it heavy! Also, after buying 3 Corsair mice recently (M65, Darkcore, Ironclaw, all wireless) the Corsair sensor just doesn't feel as good to me as Logitech's sensor. I was using a G502 and (still use) a G903 for a few years. Those three Corsair couldn't be any more different in how they feel grip wise but, I am trying to figure out what type of mouse felt the best in my hand. I am still going to try a few others in search for the perfect mouse (Glorious and SteelSeries). I would definitely recommend the Darkcore but if you are going to be playing FPS games be warned, it is heavy. Battery lasts about 2-3 days between charges and has been difficult to adjust to after using the Logitech G903 which lasts weeks between charges. The RGB lights on the Corsair mouse are worth it.

Worst mouse I've ever owned

Just a terrible product, avoid at all costs. [1 year update] Mouse broken after exactly 1 year of use. Regular every day, not particularly stressful use. Does not work at all, wired or wireless. Truly awful, especially for the high price point.

The bad:

After only a few months of use the black layer on the top of the hand rest is coming off. I might expect that to happen after a year or two but not a few months. Pathetic quality here.

The terrible: To effectively use this mouse you will need to download a program (called iCUE) to manage it. This program is just awful. It crashes randomly, the UI is impossible to figure out. Managing products within it is hard.

Worst thing was how long it took to even get the mouse to be noticed by the program and start working a wireless capacity. With wire it worked all the time but without the program up the wireless failed and that is a huge sin for today's era of what should be plug and play products. Also you can't control what the side buttons do without the program up and recognizing your mouse.

Mouse color lights default (if not overwritten using the program) is an annoying constant random rainbow across the various lights.

Overall mouse feel and hold is nothing special. Having used really cheap ones around $20-$30, this one feels the same as those did but costs far more. This mouse also doesn't have nearly as much customization as other high end mouse usually do which allow for weight addition/removal or redistribution.

After a few months of use and more frustration than should ever be put into a mouse I can say I'll never buy a Corsair mouse (and probably any Corsair product) again.

Cheap Grip Materials

It's a shame how cheap the material covering most of the mouse is, it's otherwise a nice mouse. The battery lasts long, it's comfortable to use, it's got programmable LEDs and extra buttons.. But I've only had the mouse for three or so weeks, and the grip material has been rapidly peeling and shedding off of the mouse, to the point there's just a huge gap where the logo once was.

Y

Feels great in the hand, but not durable at all

UPDATE: I sent in the mouse under warranty and received a "refurbished" mouse that was MORE DAMAGED THAN THE ONE I SENT IN FOR REPAIR. How does this happen?

I had this mouse purchased for me in Oct 2021 as a birthday gift. About three months later, the bottom skate on the mouse began peeling away in the right corner. I reached out to Corsair support requesting a replacement mouse skate, and even offered to pay for it, as I had no proof of purchase seeing as it was a gift. They told me I was not eligible for any sort of support for the device, including the opportunity to buy replacement parts at cost+shipping, because it was a gift.

I should have learned my lesson, but decided to purchase one for myself as I really like the ergonomics of this mouse. My replacement is now only 6 months old and has skate damage in the *exact* same spot as the first mouse. This is an extremely flawed skate design and I am beyond disappointed at the lack of durability or support I have gotten for this issue. I will NOT be buying another Corsair mouse despite 90% of my PC peripherals are in the Corsair ecosystem.

One of my favorite mice ever... Unfortunately not as durable as it should be

This mouse is great, especially if you like them a bit on the heavy side. Unfortunately the rubber outside has been wearing down after only a few months of use. Normally this would not be an issue for me except for the fact that it is significantly rougher than the surrounding rubber. Almost feels like a cucumber with the little seedy bits all over the outside.

I reached out to a corsair representative about this issue and they dismissed it as 'normal wear and tear of the mouse'. I personally disagree and this issue takes the mouse from a 4.5-5 star down to a 2 star product for me - especially at the price point it's at.

BRIAN GARLAND

This ain't it.

Threw this garbage in the trash. Not worth the price. The mouse will left click on its own if you slightly bumb it so when you using it for gaming it's all jacked up. You'll be just moving you mouse and the left click will go off on its own. It's extremely sensitive. For a gaming mouse, this is terrible. Corsair is garbage.

B

Barbara B.

I’ve RMA’d this thing twice, and they all start peeling within days.

So first off, yes my hands are clean and no I was not using any solvents like hand sanitizer or anything during use. This is just with normal use.

I originally bought this mouse in January, and have gone through 3 of them, all started peeling.

Apparently this is a very common issue. Look it up on Google, it has been happening to a lot of people.

Honestly this makes me not want to buy any more Corsair products. What a joke of a product.

S

Savio

Good

It's been working well....now. After a few months, the stock USB-C cable (that it came with) began to malfunction. It didn't allow the mouse to be detected by Windows (charging was fine). After swapping out the stock USB-C cable (to one by Samsung) it worked as designed.

C

Customer

Comfortable.. but doesn't perform.

This mouse has the best feel I've ever felt on a mouse, the rubbery feel on the back end is a dream, the sides are awesome, and the lights are bright and cool to look at.

Perfect for anyone who plays WOW, Runescape or games of the sort. This is not an acceptable Shooter mouse. It can't keep up with button input, it will fall behind demanding inputs quickly and then it tries to catch up and just crams a ton of input out at once. Also i dont know if mine is just defective or if its corsairs quality but the left click *trigger* goes off randomly a ton with 0 input.. very disappointed considering I've been a huge Logitech fan and a friend was so passionate about Corsair he talked me into this mouse. First and last Corsair product.. highly recommend a Logitech G403 wired mouse if you want durability AND performance. Not looking forward to my future with this mouse and very disappointed in its performance.
