I ordered one, then a second one!
The Craftmade Force Fan seems well-made with quality materials. Check your measurements, it is 60 inches wide. It is a big fan.
The description does state it is designed for rain, humidity, and coastal salt. We put our fan outside under our patio, so it does have some protection from the weather.
I like the way it looks. It has a modern appearance, and the dark graphite blades are a pretty color. It comes with a 4 inch and 6 inch down rod, so you can pick your preference of height. Our patio ceiling does have a slight angle and installation was no problem.
It is as described and pictured on the listing. It has three speeds. Although at low speed, there is a very minimum noise, and of course on the higher speeds you have a little bit more noise, but nothing that is not acceptable. The airflow is good, you can feel the air
We had the fan professionally installed. I can’t comment on the installation, but the installer made it look easy!
I liked the appearance and features of the Vine ordered one, so I ordered a second to go on the other end of the patio!

Excellent fan and motor, but buy your own Batteries First
This ceiling fan is a bit of a mixed bag, but if you are willing to look past a few minor issues and invest the time into installation, the performance of the fan itself makes it worth the purchase.
The Installation Process
The instructions provided are quite clear, but the installation is definitely time-consuming. One major plus is that the wires come very long, which gives you plenty of slack to work with during the mounting process (and you can easily trim back the excess). It didn't come with screws to secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling box, which wasn't a deal breaker for me since I had extras on hand, but it's worth noting. Unless you are an electrician or highly comfortable with electrical work, I wouldn't recommend tackling this as a DIY project—you may want to hire a professional.
The Controllers and Batteries
The hardware bundle left a bit to be desired. The included batteries were incredibly low quality; one was completely dead right out of the box, which initially made me worry that I had wired the wall controller incorrectly. Both the wall and handheld controllers require a 23A battery, and since I only had one working battery between them, I decided to use the wall unit for now. The wall controller itself feels a bit cheaply made and lightweight, which is a bit disappointing given the price point of around $270. That said, it is easy to install and reasonably responsive when changing settings.
Build Quality and Performance
Where this product truly shines is the fan unit itself. The actual build quality is great. Every part of the fan unit itself, except the control module you wire in and hide in the fan housing near the ceiling, feels well-constructed with precise machining and excellent fitment. Once up and running, the performance is stellar. The LED light is bright and functional, the motor is incredibly quiet, and it moves air beautifully to cool down the room.
Bottom Line
If you are willing to spend the money, the core features—the quiet motor, the great airflow, and the quality build of the fixture—are absolutely worth it. Just save yourself the headache and buy a fresh pack of quality 23A batteries before you start, and take your time with the installation.

Craftmade Force XL 60" wet-rated outdoor ceiling fan with LED light and remote control
I purchased this Craftmade Force XL 60" ceiling fan for my outdoor covered deck. I needed a wet-rated outdoor ceiling fan with built-in lighting and both remote and wall control options, and this checked those boxes.
Right out of the box, everything feels complete and well packaged. The finish has a clean, modern look, and all installation components are included, such as mounting hardware, downrods, remote, and wall control options.
During setup, I noticed the unit is heavier than other ceiling fans I have installed. It is a larger, heavy-duty outdoor ceiling fan designed for wet-rated use in covered deck and similar outdoor spaces. Because of the weight, I plan to have the mounting support reviewed before completing installation to ensure it is appropriate for this type of fan.
The fan includes 4" and 6" downrods, which allow flexibility for ceiling height, and it works with both flat and slightly angled ceilings. That made it easier to plan for different installation setups on my covered deck.
The integrated 18W LED light is built into the fan and includes dimming, which allows brightness to be adjusted as needed. Once installed, the remote and wall control make it easy to adjust fan speed and lighting without needing direct access.
My main consideration before final installation is confirming that the ceiling mounting support is appropriate for the weight on my covered deck.
What stood out most is that everything needed for a full installation is included, and the design feels well thought out for larger outdoor covered spaces where stronger airflow is needed. I’m very pleased with the quality and design, and it has an upscale look that exceeded my expectations.

Our new favorite toy in the house
We have ceiling fans in every room in our house (3 bedrooms, living room, hallway, from entrance, laundry area). And we also have a whole house fan. Suppose to help cost on electricity bill. And this is by far my favorite fan. My husband accidentally threw away the remote for our bedroom ceiling fan. So instead of trying to find a replacement remote (which I can't because manufacturer doesn't sell it), and not sure a universal remote would work. We just got this to replace it. It is a lot bigger. Our others are 52", this one is 60". Our favorite feature, it also has a wall mounted "remote" that replaced our regular on/off light switch. So don't have to worry if this remote ever goes missing. Both "remotes" are identical. Bottom switch is off/on. Fan buttons are high/med/low/off. 2 different light mode buttons (they both look the same to me). Hold button down for dimming. And reverse motor button. My only complaint, you can hear the motor. It's not too loud, more annoying. All my other ceiling fans are quiet, like you can hear the furbaby fart quiet. Not a deal breaker. Also, hubby didn't like the color. So we spray painted the blades semi-gloss black. Other than that, easy installation. Easy controls. A bit pricey. But the wall mounted control feature is what makes this fan worth it.

Perfect Patio Fan
We installed this Craftmade Force XL fan on our covered patio and it has been amazing. The 60-inch size moves a lot of air and keeps the whole patio cool and comfortable, even on warmer days. The dark graphite finish and greywood blades give it a modern, high-end look that fits perfectly with our outdoor space.
The fan runs very smooth and quiet, and I love that the motor is reversible with multiple speed settings. The included remote and wall controls make it super convenient to use. The LED light is bright without being harsh and adds the perfect amount of lighting for evenings outside.
Overall, this fan looks beautiful, performs great, and feels very sturdy and well made. Perfect addition to a covered outdoor patio!
