I do not leave reviews, but this was beyond frustrating. Beyond the impossibility of pairing, only one side would work. Set it the first side up completely, no lights showed up, I did not think much of it. I set the second side up, immediately lit up and stayed lit up while I lined it up on the wall. I have switched the port they are lit up in, I have tried just the one plugged in alone, switching on and off with the remote, I reset it roughly 15 times but with no luck. While lining up the side that will not work, a few select light would flicker momentarily different colors then turn off, thought nothing of it at first but here we are. There is also another plug, for what? I cannot find ANY use for it and there is no explanation besides a power supply it did not come with. Spent most of my only off day and half my weeks spending money on disappointment.

They have got to be the worse lights! These do not connect to my internet at all! I changed my WiFi to the 2.4h WiFi for the lights and they STILL didn’t connect, just kept getting “failed to connect!” I gave up after trying to connect them for 2 hours. Will be throwing them in the garbage and looking for new ones that do connect.

Work very well, just learn how to do it right.
Customers should know that pairing mode can be quite tricky... The easiest way, is DO NOT use the remote. Plug them into a surge protector that has an on off button. Start with the lights OFF. Then follow the On-Off-On-Off directions. The only issue I found is it can be difficult to maintain a stable/constant WiFi connection if your router is in "Smart WiFi". The way to disable this is to go into your router settings, and turn "Smart WiFi" OFF. Then set your 2.4GHz & 5GHz to separate SSIDs. Once that is done, you'll have no issues with disconnections. It makes it fun, they're easy to put up due to the 3M adhesion power. The only time they flicker for me, is during pairing mode. I highly recommend, Just try to get an idea of what you're doing before you buy them. 👍

I have grown to like having the LED Light Strips in my room, while watching TV or gaming.
When i got these, the reviews looked good so i took the chance. I really was looking forward to setting these up to be controlled by Alexa.
Well, taken me 2 months to finally put them in place and will say that the stock photos of LED light strips, aren't these. Just as others have posted, you don't get the solid light, it's all the individual ones. Not enough of an issue to worry too much about.
But the Bluetooth won't pair for nothing, The instructions say to Power on then Turn on-off-on-off-on. Tried that several times with no blinking. I tried this so many times. And on the product page, it says: "Hold the "ON" button on remote until the lights start flashing quickly (about 3-5 seconds)", that didn't work either.
So as it seems, mine won't pair, thus NOT app controlled.
As for the controller use, making sure the sensor is visible, it does seem slow to respond. Time will tell how well these actually work

The main reason I’m giving this only two stars is because I originally bought these lights to pair with Alexa and control them through my phone. Unfortunately, I’m only able to use the remote that comes in the package to turn the lights on and off and change colors. I was not able to pair the lights with the app at all, even after following the instructions. There also doesn’t seem to be much customer support available for help.
I will be keeping the lights because they do look nice, but the main reason I purchased them was for Alexa compatibility. I really wish I had read more of the negative reviews beforehand, because I would not have purchased this version if I had known. Also, when I switched certain colors, parts of the strip are a different color than the one that I actually switched to.

Lights look great. My son loves them. A couple issues, we cannot get them to sync or add them to the app, so they can only be controlled by remote (troubleshooted everything, cannot get it figured out). Second, there are a small strip of the lights that are different colors no matter what color they change to? I already put too much work into putting them up and sticking them to the wall to return. They are fun for my teen. He is happy with them.

Decent lights… certain colors don’t work

Issues cutting
When I bought these lights the descriptions and details did not specify that the lights needed to be attached to a device or switch to work. I bought these because the description said they could be cut. So, I cut the first strip that I needed then I was left with a large roll of lights that now don't work. I didn't know how the lights worked and the instructions in the box did not make it clear that once you cut the lights, the remaining lights are essentially useless (maybe you can splice it together with another switch if you know how to do all of that, but I don't so this was a wasted purchase!).
**UPDATE** the seller offered me a full refund and assistance on how to use the strip of lights cut. You do have to buy four pin connectors and the adapter box/cords for cutting to work. They were truly great to work with. They still work, but make sure you cut on the three gold lines!

For the lighting strip to stay I had to use additional glue. Using a heating gun and melt the glue intermittently along the entire strip. Other than the the remote lighting works well. Did not try to download the app to see how it works, the remote is good enough for me.

The lights are nice and work well with the app and Alexa; however, the adhesive is weak. I followed the directions meticulously and washed my walls thoroughly and allowed several hours of dry time so there was no dust or moisture, yet the lights separated from the walls within hours. I wanted to return them, but my husband and son who the lights were for wanted a quick fix because I had taken so long to install (because of the wall washing and meticulous arrangement to make them perfectly straight). His solution was an Elmer’s school glue stick. I did not think this was a good solution but since we own the home and I knew it wouldn’t ruin the walls I tried it and they haven’t budged for 4 days so I think they will stay. I applied the glue to the wall then stuck the light strip back on. At this point I was over it and just slapped them back on so it isn’t as straight and pretty but it is adhered.

Used to be Better!
These LED light strips used to be my favorite. I loved them because they used to have really good adhesive tape that were easy to put up and take down multiple times while still remaining sticky. However, the last 2 times that I have purchased this item the adhesive tape has been slightly different. I have purchased this exact item 4 different times over the past 2 years. I thought I might have gotten a crappy set because even the connector seemed a bit off from my previous purchases. That set of lights would come down several times a week so I took them down and decided to try another set. Unfortunately, its the same thing. My other room that has the same lights has been going strong for 2 years now and they never come off the wall like they do now. I really liked that they were Alexa compatible and also had their own app to control the lights. They have the ability to sync to music which was a great feature. Too late to send back but whatever adhesive they used to have they need to bring back.
**Update** Seller was very responsive and did apologize and offered a full refund. It is hard to find great customer service these days. It is greatly appreciated and I do love the lights but again I hope they use a better adhesive in the future.

Perfect for my Living Room
Got these lights to light up my living room, and they worked perfect. The only 2 downsides are that you have to be very close to the receiver to use the remote, and that 3 of the LEDs are not working right. They are Slightly different in color and turn off when the color is red, but i think i caused that by twisting them when installing. Other than that, no issues! But keep in mind you have to have 2.4 ghz wifi to connect these to the app.

Everything is awesome, love how it actually does what I ask. I have her connected to my led light from daybetter. At first I didn’t know why Alexa wouldn’t connect to my led lights or why my led lights won’t match my music. You learn so much and how to use it lol. Figure everything out on my own it was a struggle but worth it!
If you are using led lights from daybetter and can’t connect your led light to match with the music, you need to open the app of music so your led light music turns its mic on and once placed near Alexa so it can listen to the music it starts changing colors matching the beat. Daybetter lied
I rejected the Daybetter 2 strands of 50-foot led lights.
I then ordered 1 strand of 100-foot instead and it's the EXACT same item except the stickers on the box.
So why are Daybetter lying? And why are they charging more for the supposed 100 foot strand that's not actually 100 feet?
I am extremely displeased with Daybetter. With no connectors on the ends or even included in the package, I have wasted my time and money trying to purchase Daybetter in two different configurations. What a waste. I'll get my money back and buy from a manufacturer that's at least honest about what's in the box.
It's the dishonesty for me.

I bought the 100 foot in 2 rolls and only put up one 50 foot roll to see how they were going to do. I started by checking the lights and they all lit up red before putting them up and this is where I guess I made a mistake because you need to check every color to make sure the entire strip works on every color. Two hours later I had them up and hooked them to the app and the last 10-15 feet will light up red and green but that is it. If you put the lights on blue the last 10-15 feet go out. If you put them on purple the last 10-15 feet are red and if you put them on teal the last 10-15 feet are green. This is so annoying to have to take these down and throw them in a box and return them just to get another set that may or may not work and spend another 2 hours putting them up and then really hope they work. It’s sad because the first 30 or so feet of the 50 feet are very nice I really like them but I want lights that actually work for the entire 50 feet.
Update: customer service from Daybetter got back to me and are sending me a new set of lights. Great customer service!

Included AC/DC cable is too short.
The included power cable is only about 2 ½ to 3 feet long, which for 99% of people is too short if you are planning on installing these around your cieling. Most outlets are 6 to 8 feet below the cieling, so you end up having to use some of the LED strip to reach the cieling and that ends up looking tacky and cheap. I would have given 5 stars if they had included a longer power cable and if the box didn't smell like chemicals. The reciever also can't use 9V or 24V power adapters either, because the lights just end up endlessly flashing and do not respond to the app or the remote. That part I do not understand as it should be able to convert 24V to 12V because the last set of LED lights used the same exact reviecer and worked just fine with my 24V power cord. Overall, this is definitely a "you get what you pay for" product, and I can only recommend if you either have a longer power cable or do not care about the low quality materials. I wont be buying another set from this company any time soon.
EDIT: Bumping this up to 4 stars because of the app. It works very fast and can be turned colors that are not even on the remote. Only downside is that it requires wifi.

I LOVE these. They definitely set what mood I want. I bout 100 ft and wrapped one half (plug is in middle so 50' on both sides) around my sofa for a glow and the other under and over cabinets in my kitchen. My entire apartment glows! I also got the smart rgb light bulbs and flush mount light.
These work with Alexa and in the Tuya app (I don't mess with remotes) and it's easy to use.
Pros:
- easy to use
- easy to connect to wifi and Alexa
- hands free
- can create colors
- can adjust brightness and saturation of colors (which I found necessary)
- Alexa has colors she knows and can change them to
- they are FUN so just buy it already
Cons:
- some colors aren't true to color. See video and photos. The photos show more what the eyes see vs what pigment my camera picks up. This is why I'm glad I can change the saturation and brightness and make my own colors.
- accross Daybetter products, the same colors don't all look the same, so using the Tuya app solved my problem
- Alexa doesn't know what colors I've created in the app. If I want to use those I have to use the app. Just a minor inconvenience, and I don't mind much.

I purchased 100ft for my room. I believe my room is 9x12ft. I used one whole wheel, and about another 10ft of the second wheel.
The Alexa integration is amazing. I have it set to my routines to turn off/on with my existing lights. Voice commands are instant, I just had to change the name of the device to something I could remember.
The remote control has to be pointed at the white little box where the LED strips are plugged into, so it can be tricky to use the remote, but it’s not necessary with the app.
The app, Tuya Smart, has so many configurations for colors. You can set one solid color, use a premade scene or create one, have flashing/strobe/breathing effects, or even connect the lights to music audio. The app has an option to integrate straight to Alexa or google, so you can skip the manual setup in the corresponding app!
The adhesion is very similar to scotch double sided tape. It is not thick 3M tape. It sticks very well to painted walls, granted they are properly pressed firmly down on and not dusty. I highly doubt that when removing them they will leave a residue.
They are not as bright as I expected, which is a good thing! There is a dimmer on the remote, and in the app. Great for us light sleepers who hate lights. Highly recommend these LED lights for those are tight on a budget!

it took me a super long time to figure out how to reset the lights and i ended up giving up and just using the remote for a month which worked fine but i ended up figuring out how to retry them without the remote

They are long enough to cover a lot of ground.
They look fine if hidden behind something like a TV or dresser.

No protrctive/waterproof cover on the strip.
No standalone white LED.
Original post: First, you get what you pay for with these. Around 30$ for 100 ft. You will get 100 ft but quality is the worst I've ever seen even among other cheap LED strips.
They are not waterproof they don't even have a top coat to protect the strip and keep it from breaking.
It will break easily even with slight tension.
The package said RGBW these do not have the stand alone white light. They use maxed out red green and blue to make it "white" so don't buy these if you're hoping for mostly different shades of white.
The green blue and red color are good enough for the price but the LED count per foot is super low meaning you're going to notice inconsistent brightness through the strip unless you get a really good diffuser. Even with a good diffuser though it's not going to be as solid as a strip that's even slightly higher quality.
Also, the app it says it uses is one of the better apps out there but when I went to hook them up it directed me to a different app which has very few customization options.
I hope I can get them all up without them breaking.
Worse than the quality of the items you get from wish.
