Super easy to use, plug and play. I like that it has a mic although I still prefer my headphones because they are noise canceling. The quality is pretty good, picture is clear. The remote makes zoom calls so easy to just turn off camera and to zoom in and out..

I needed a flexible camera for doing zoom calls and wanted to be sure it had a high quality camera and excellent microphone that would pickup voices and block out noise. This fit the bill and so far it's worked well. I really like the mounting system as it's adjustable to fit on a thick monitor or a thin laptop, and the fact that it comes with a small tripod as well. The remote is a great option but the only drawback is that zooming is not available in 4k, only in 1080p mode. The resolution, color and contrast have all been good in each lighting situation I've been in but they were all relatively bright conditions so I haven't tested in low light. At $39.99 at the time of this review this is an excellent value.

I haven't used a webcam in years that wasn't on a laptop. Technology has come a long way since then. It used to be hard to get a decent 1080p cam, now we have 4K. It was easy to sit the camera on top of my monitor and the image was very crisp. Autofocus would hunt a bit, but was pretty accurate once given enough light. Setup was nonexistant. I plugged it into a usb port and opened the camera app. That's it. It just worked. I used the box it came in to take a photo to show image quality and also to show how it tracks faces. I used my phone to show what you see on the screen. Include is a little tripod for when you aren't sitting at a computer. I plan to use this cam to keep track of my 3D Printer progress. This printer has a camera, but my other one doesn't. I was holding it against the glass, so that may have affected the autofocus a bit. Really nice quality image. For the privacy conscious among us, there is a small tally light that illuminates when the camera is active. The remote is less useful to me, but it's a nice addition. Included is a usb A to C adapter.

This webcam works pretty well. It came with a USB-C adapter, which as a Mac user, I appreciate greatly. The camera also comes with a remote and a tripod.
The last picture is a picture of my cat taken with this webcam, I would not say the quality is 4k which is why I gave it 4 stars, but I do think the quality for things like video calls is just fine. The camera itself has a manual lens cover to protect privacy. It also has slit cut into its base so it sits nice and snug on top of any monitor or laptop which makes installation easy and with the included remote you are able to easily zoom in and out or even adjust the brightness, something other webcams might not include.
Overall, a very good choice for anyone needing a decent quality webcam.

This product is a charcoal-colored webcam with accessories. Included are a tripod, USB-C adapter, camera, and remote control. The remote control needs 2 AAA batteries. I really like the ease of use of this webcam. I plugged it into my laptop. I went to the Bluetooth/devices section and Depstech was there to click on. From there just use the remote. I like the zoom quality and the functionality. I also like the privacy cover by sliding the switch on the underside of the camera. The webcam is also practical and durable. The price is a very good value for the money. The images below show some differences in zoom and brightness. These are all the same original image.

I am reviewing the “DEPSTECH 4K Webcam, equipped with Sony Sensor, 3X Zoom”. I bought this webcam to replace my NEXIGO webcam that functions well but does NOT zoom and is missing some other features included with the DEPSTECH.
I mounted BOTH webcams on my monitor so I can compare the images they create in the same lighting environment. See attached images for comparison. Image is much clearer taken with the DEPSTETCH webcam.
The DEPSTECH camera comes with a remote control that can mirror the image, zoom the image and control brightness and contrast.
The DEPSTECH camera adapts to problematic lighting conditions better than my older camera as seen by the 2 screenshots.
I use the DEPSTECH microphone for ZOOM meetings without problem. I’m glad I made the step-up to this webcam.
Pro: Remote control to adjust image, lighting, etc. while using; automatically adjusts lighting for clear image; autofocus; comes with tripod for professional results.
Con: None

This Depstech 4k webcam produces reasonable quality when slightly adjusted with the provided remote. If you're thinking to use this camera as a conference webcam, this will work really well. I'm specifically comparing it to the camera I use Anker PowerConf C200 and they are comparable. I initially thought that Depstech 4k lost the details in the darker areas and colors were not coming through correctly, but after playing with the adjustments on the remote Depstech could match the picture quality of the PowerConf. Do not discard the remote!
A good things about the remote is that it does not need direct line of sight to the camera, so you don't need to pick it up and point at the camera. I can hide it under the table and completely cover the sensor, it still works. Most settings set by the remote will be remembered by the camera even after disconnecting and reconnecting it. I noticed that brightness setting seems to return to the middle after powering the camera off.
Remote offers an easy way to adjust brightness, saturation, contrast. The skin tones appear natural from this camera, an area that many cameras have difficulty processing correctly. There's a little bit of a focus breathing when the focus changes.
The field of view on this camera is not super wide and I like it that way. There's a zoom button on the remote toggles among four zoom setting. None of them is particularly wide. If you need a super wide zoom, find another camera. There's a button on the remote to return to default settings.
There's a sliding privacy shutter that closes the lens of the camera. This feature is not particularly useful since it does not give a clear indication that the camera lens is covered by the black the internal shutter.
The camera has a USB 2.0 cable that is integrated with the camera. The mounting options are versatile, you can attach it to a tripod, or to a laptop screen. It will also accommodate thicker screens as there's a flap that supports the back of the camera. The camera is light and does not extrude in the back, so you can push laptop against the wall pretty easily.
Overall, this is a great camera. I recorded a sample video going through different adjustments. The remote does an excellent job controlling the camera settings.

I work from home, so having a good webcam is a must for me. I was pleasantly surprised at how clear the video calls were! It was fairly easy to set up. For Mac users, setting up is a little different than on other computers. You need to adjust the video feed to use the webcam instead of the computer's. The remote control is just what I didn't know I needed. With it, you can zoom in/out, change colors into black and white and and other brighter tones, focuses really well, and mirrors the video input/output. The little tripod is also nice to have. It has a place where you can screw it onto other standard tripods. It secures to the top of my computer's screen very well. Overall, I'm very pleased with this camera!

What a solid little camera! I am thoroughly impressed by the picture quality! Supports up to a 4K resolution like what is described. I'm a little bummed that is only supports 30fps across the board. Would have hoped to see 60fps at lower resolutions, but its not a complete deal breaker. Great for both conference calling or streaming without completely breaking the bank! Comes with a handful of accessories as well including a privacy cover, which is nothing more than a adhesive sliding window, a tripod "stand" (its weak, but functional), a USB-A to USB-C adapter, and for fun it comes with some stickers for the front of the webcam. Mine had Space, Halloween, Christmas and Chameleon eye. Lastly, it comes with a remote which I believe sets this apart from other webcams. the ability to do some basic functions without having to open a control panel I feel is a game changer for streaming!

We will be using this for streaming our chicks as they grow up in their brooding pen. Since they are in our basement, we can easily check on them whenever and wherever we want with our phones, and can also broadcast so others can tune in as well! The color and clarity seem quite good, and with more natural light, I think it will get even better than when I tested for this review. I am figuring that the delay in audio was coming from the program I was using at the time, and should have no bearing on the quality of this camera. The audio I was receiving at the time was crystal clear. They do provide a small tripod that screws into the clamp that is attached to the camera, so there are multiple ways of positioning it where needed. The cord is ample long, and they also include a remote and an optional camera shield so you can quickly terminate the camera feed at the camera in needed by simply sliding it closed to cover the lens. Overall, a respectable and quality camera for streaming or conferencing.

Got this for my PC at home since I often have Zoom and Google Meet calls, and I really needed a good webcam. I tried it as soon as it arrived, and it worked perfectly right out of the box. The picture quality is clear and sharp, and the built in microphone picks up my voice nicely without background noise.
I also like that it comes with a small tripod and remote, which makes it easy to adjust or use for different angles. Setup was simple, just plug and play. For online meetings or remote work, this camera is a great value and performs better than expected. Highly recommended.

This is a great camera. Many options on it. I have one that I like and was not going to try another one, but when this one came across I decided to give it a whirl. I am glad I did. I am already impressed with it and I have just toyed around with it. I have a few videos and a podcast coming up over the next few days and I can't wait to see the quality of it when I get done. In the videos and tests I have done with it I am highly impressed. The Sony lens that is used is a great touch and you can tell the difference.
If you are doing meetings on Zoom, Skype, Teams, Meet, etc this is a great camera for anyone to use on that. Much better than any built-in camera. If you are starting a podcast or just dabble in it, this camera is for you. The 4K camera is outstanding and the auto-focus feature does a great job. You can control it thru the software you use with your camera on the computer of the included remote control.
The dual mic's are nice as well. They seem to cut out any background noise and puts your voice front and center. I have a microphone and a headset to use but I have been lucky enough to have a camera before this one, and now this one, where I don't need to use them. That is always nice when you don't have to use headphones.
The remote control is nice. You can do anything to the picture with the remote from brightness, color, zoom, auto-focus, mute, and more. There is also an optional camera privacy cover. I elected not to use it right now as the camera turns off until it is in use. Some of the others I have used stay on.
The tripod is sturdy and heavy duty. The only thing I don't like is that you can't lock the legs in place and they can move on you when moving it around. I never place this on the monitor. I may swap it out with another small tripod that I have with my other camera. That is not a knock on this one, per se', but just a personal preference as this one is a very good one.
I have done a few videos with this camera now and I like it just as much, or better. It is much more clear than my other camera that is supposedly of this quality. It is crystal clear. The microphone is much clearer as well. I don't even need my headphones that plugged into my Mic that I had to use with the other camera sometimes.
Yes I would recommend this product and may buy a couple more of these to give to members of my business and a charity I help run for our online meetings.

I'm using an M2 Mac Mini with a Viewsonic 4K monitor. Wanted a dedicated 4K webcam to use and chose the Depstech DW49 Pro. The quality just isn't that good and video appears grainy. I understand why the digital zoom feature would make video grainy due to the 1080p drop in resolution. In comparison, I tried the continuity camera with my iPhone15 and the difference is far superior. I really don't want to mount my iPhone to my monitor though when needed. The remote is a nice feature. Doubt I will be using the tripod that came with it. Going to use it more over the weekend. Might return this week.

This camera is not what it is cracked up to be plus y’all are False advertising. The instructions on the paper even has a barcode that doesn’t even work. I want a replacement but another camera around the same price

One notable aspect of this webcam is its dual noise-canceling microphones, which enhance audio quality during calls or recordings. Whether you're engaging in video calls, Zoom meetings, Skype sessions, or Teams collaborations, the microphone ensures clear and crisp sound transmission.
The inclusion of a USB-C adaptor simplifies connectivity, catering to various devices including PCs, Macs, and laptops. This plug-and-play feature streamlines the setup process, allowing users to integrate the webcam into their existing systems.
A standout feature of the DEPSTECH 4K Webcam is its 3X digital zoom capability, providing users with the flexibility to adjust their view as needed. Combined with the webcam's auto-focus function, it ensures sharp and focused images even when zoomed in.
The webcam comes equipped with a remote control featuring multiple functions, adding convenience to the user experience. Whether adjusting settings, zooming in, or toggling features, the remote provides intuitive control at your fingertips.
Privacy is a priority, and the webcam includes a privacy cover for added security when not in use. This feature ensures peace of mind, especially in environments where privacy is important.
The webcam offers a touch of personalization with optional kid covers, although they may not appeal to everyone's taste. Nevertheless, they add a unique touch to the webcam's aesthetics, providing an alternative to the standard black design.
I required a second video cam for interviews on a video podcast, and the DEPSTECH 4K Webcam proved to be a good choice. Its ease of use and superior performance made it my primary camera for work-related tasks, further highlighting its versatility and reliability.

I love the webcam. It is crystal clear and also has built in mics so I can use it to talk to friends on discord and also use it for work on zoom meetings. The auto focus is superb and works quickly to refocus the video whenever you move around or move closer to the camera. I highly recommend this camera and would definitely buy again. The only downside to this is that I wish it had built a built in face light into the front to illuminate your face. But at this pricepoint I cannot complain. Exactly what I needed.

I needed an upgrade to the webcam integrated into my laptop, and frankly, this is a real improvement. The focus, low-light performance, and autofocus are all much better than what I was using. When the lighting is right, the difference is almost striking – may have something to do with having a Sony-made sensor.
The sound quality is probably the most impressive improvement I noted. No muted or garbled audio. And there’s no noticeable delay (latency) between the audio and video (this may have more to do with my laptop, but I noticed this the first time I hooked it up).
The webcam resolution is 4K, which I’m not sure why I would ever need that kind of resolution in a webcam, but if I ever need it, it’s there. Keep in mind the zoom function works only at 1080 resolution or less. Bottom line, the quality of the image is outstanding.
The camera comes with a sliding lens cover and a small adjustable tripod. The lens cover tends to stick, but it will probably loosen with use. Look at it this way: You know that little piece of tape we all put over the lens of built-in webcam in our laptops? You don’t need to do that with this camera – it’s built-in.
The light on the camera indicates that it’s in use. It’s a little confusing since it doesn’t indicate power to the camera – so it’s not an accurate indication of whether the camera is on or off.
The remote control (no batteries – you’ll need to buy them) does a few functions, like Zoom, for example. But frankly, after I had the camera set up, I didn’t need it. I only use the camera for Zoom call meetings, so I’m not trying to make presentations or show others business charts – if I were, then the remote might have more value to me.
The camera mounts two ways: There’s a screen hanger to mount it directly on a laptop or monitor, or you can use the little tripod and set the camera on a desk.
The setup is quick and straightforward. The instructions are typical for a translated manual, but most won’t need them. If you need to make adjustments or compensate for room lighting, there are controls for brightness, focus, and lighting temperature.
If you do Zoom calls or record any kind of video using the integrated camera on your laptop, this will be a huge improvement. And based on the price, the higher quality is also a great value.

Great quality web cam. Perfect for home office. The remote is super helpful to quickly mute or change the brightness. One improvement would be a brighter light on the camera for low light rooms.

I use this camera for my work meetings and it works great! It auto focuses very quickly and does the job! High quality for the price. A+

I replaced the 1080 version of this camera with this new 4K model. Provided a better pictures and some other new features that may be helpful to some people. For the price, it provides a better image than what you get built in with most laptops.

The camera is great for my needs. I had a Razer light camera that broke and this one is a perfect replacement. Comes with two kinds of us connectors so I don't need a hub. Also, the image is great and the included mic is exactly what I needed.
