Excellent horn, the sound is heard loud and clear, it has a very good volume. I like that it is resistant and easy to transport, my husband uses it for work and the battery lasts a long time. The quality of DeWalt is noticeable, highly recommended.

Good and durable work BT speaker with USB power output and Aux input.
If you already have DeWalt batteries, it makes sense to use this.
What I like:
Two 3" Stereo speakers.
Durable.
USB power port.
Aux-in port, though, as usual, BT sounds better with less noise.
Loud enough to use at a work site. Good enough fidelity for a work site.
Long battery life, estimated 30 - 40 hours with a 4AH battery.
Other things:
There are only 16 volume steps.
It sounds a little boomy to me, so I inserted a rag into the bass port to improve the sound a bit. I think the port is for show because it does not improve sound.
As you can see in the photo, the AC power supply is a wall plug supply mounted inside. I removed mine because I never plan on plugging it in.
I have better sounding portable speakers, but nothing this durable and portable.
Good product over-all and I'm glad I bought it for use at work in the field.

When I first got the product back during Christmas. It worked great and the sound was fabulous.
After 6 months or so, we all noticed that the volume had decreased greatly and didn't produce the same quality sound effect.
I'm glad my family reminded me that I had taken out insurance on this product and will be getting in touch to handle this as painlessly as possible.

I've been using this thing daily as an industrial electrician. Great sound and I love how light it is. I had this up on a 100ft material silo. I was loading up the man-lift that I was using to take my tools down. It was stupid of me to do, but I just willie nillie tossed the radio on a tool bag. It bounced and rolled out of the lift and it went straight down 100ft as a screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I went down to retrieve it, was so heart broken when I saw how it had smashed. But get this. IT STILL WORKS!!!!!!! I will always look to Dewalt first before any other brand.

Needed something portable for working in the greenhouses. Seems to be good on battery life. Lasted all day on a old 1.2a that probably only takes half a charge. Bet it lasts all week on a 5a. Sound quality is good, not quite as good as my wife’s Sony but for a work radio it’s decent. I’d buy it again.

This has a pretty decent range, with clear sound, Its small size makes it so you can take it anywhere and it is really durable! I say it is absolutely worth the money I you want music on the go!

Overall, this is a great speaker. I've been using it daily on my job site and in my construction office. Below are my pro's and con's.
Pro's
- Impressive sound quality. For how small this thing is, it sounds great.
- Very portable. Small but not too small. I've included a photo next to the DCD805 for size comparison.
- Lightweight (obviously contingent on which battery is mounted)
- Plenty of power options. You can power this thing with either the included power cable, a 12v battery or a 20v battery.
- Great battery life. I'll go about 6-8 hours on 1 single 1.7ah Power Stack battery and can stretch that to a 3-5 days on a 5ah power stack battery. God only knows how long it'll last on a 15ah FlexVolt!
- Very durable and rugged. There is no question to the build quality, it is top notch. Everything feels like it can take a serious hit without causing catastrophic damage.
- Phone holder. You can stick your phone in the top of the grab handle and it rests there pretty securely. Even fits my 14 Pro Max with a rugged case on it.
- Better than advertised range. DeWALT claims 100ft max bluetooth range but I've made it to 165ft before the music started to cut out, and that's with trucks, generators and general construction tools in the way. Unbelievable!
- AUX input & USB. You can charge your phone off the speaker while it's in the stand if you plug it in with USB cable, so that's super nice.
Con's
- Slightly lacking in the bass department. This is such a small con and I can't stress that enough, more nit-picky than anything. But I wish there was a bigger woofer in this thing to give my music a little more oomph. Obviously you can't compare this to a Sonos Move or anything. There is bass, but some music can sound a little more treble-y when I'm used to deeper bass on those songs.
- USB over USB-C. Again, nit-picky, but I wish there was USB-C on this speaker. Maybe even have USB + USB-C to allow for more options. Everything I have is USB-C, so that would've been nice to see.
The pro's heavily outweigh the cons here and it's no competition that this is by far one of the best job site speakers on the market that can for sure take a beating. 10/10 would recommend!

Absolutely love this little speaker. Small and easy to carry to the job weather it be in a customer's home or on new construction. Doesn't take up too much space in my van and is durable so I don't have to worry about it breaking being in the back with my tools. I've used this thing for hours with one light left on a 2ah battery and it still never died. Love that it also has a corded option if needed. Nice stand for your phone and even has a place to run your charging cord through. Overall super great speaker for the price

It is far heavier than I had expected. The phone holder is great and I like that it has a usb charging port so I can charge my phone off the 20v battery.

Speaker works with batteries but did not come with a power cord. The rubber parts of the unit also appear to be covered in sand like it's used. Normally love Dewalt stuff but this is poor quality control.

I had a giant boom box with a Bluetooth with add on receiver. I could not easily move it. So I went to read reviews to buy a Bluetooth speaker. Great little size with a protective little heft, Connects easily, has a cradle for device, has a USB power accessory, can run off a battery (DeWalt), can run with included AC power cord, Bluetooth distance is awesome, and matches my DeWalt tools..... Downside doesn’t change DeWalt battery, but for the price it’s fine. The sound is awesome for my music and podcasts. It’s loud enough with clarity and the sound carries.... Will the bass pound your chest...no, but for the size not too shabby. If you’re a bass head it’s not for you, but all around sound and a great SHOP Speaker....Yes!!!!!!

I purchased this speaker basically for use at work and I really am pleased with it. It is just a speaker so you’ll need an audio source. I just use my phone with Bluetooth to connect and stream any number of music apps. The Bluetooth connection is really good and the distance before losing a signal is amazing. Sound and volume is quite good for its size. It’s not too large and can easily fit on a material cart or scissor lift at work.
One of the main factors for me going with this was the battery. I’ve had other Bluetooth speakers that “claim” 10 hours or more of battery life and I never came close to that. We use a lot of Dewalt tools at work so I always have access to a battery, and a full charged 5 mah battery will last more than 3 days!!
I would recommend this speaker 👍🏼👍🏼.

(Tea bottle for perspective.) I thought it'd be bigger but I'm glad it's the size it is. Sounds great, Bluetooth pairs easily, and can get pretty loud. Also the battery life lasts at least 6 hours, we had it on all day. Got this for my dad for Father's Day. His tool set is the same brand, so this was an easy choice. And yeah, he blasts dad rock.

I love how light it is , very strong speaker if you’re willing to invest in DeWalt batteries .... it’s perfect for camping ...work.... the beach ... and BBQ’s
P.S : A Standard Dewalt Battery , fully charged , without being no 4Ah or 5Ah will last you One Full day 7am-7pm of BLARING CLEAR MUSIC :D , and it takes an hour and 15min for the battery to charge
