FIRE HAZARD DO NOT BUY!
FIRE HAZARD! We had been using this charger for a few months to charge both of our EVs at the house before we started noticing intermittent charging failures, where the charger would stop working and then resume, only to stop working entirely until it was unplugged and replugged. We had an electrician come out to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with the outlet or wiring. After the latest time, the top of the charger (pictured) was too hot to even touch with my hand and I noticed that the plastic had started to melt. I am SO glad I found it before it caused a fire. I had been a loyal Dewalt customer until now for many tools and such, but with the severity of the issue, I would give both the charger and the brand a 0/10. Buyer beware: not worth burning your house down!

How can you go wrong with the DEWALT name!

Heavy duty quality charger with 32A capability, info screen, travel bag, but some flaws.
The portable 32 Amp EV Charger by DEWALT, is well-made, solid performing charger from a leader in the tool industry. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.
I. Quality – This charger looks and feels like a well-made charger that’s heavy duty, with thick cables and a strong build. I was impressed at the higher quality this one offers. I’ve seen a ton of EV chargers and this definitely is on the nicer side, by providing a great build. I’d put the overall quality in the lower side of the upper tier of the quality scale for at home EV chargers and guess that it should hold up well over time.
II. Performance – It’s worked great in many ways, with power up to 32A that is adjustable to what you need. It includes a basic, but helpful screen for useful information, such as time, current, voltage and power used, that others may have. Unfortunately, they sent me a previously returned item that has scratches on the main screen (see video). It has 6 safety features, to help keep you safe. The cables are on the shorter side at only 20ft, with 25ft being that average currently. It doesn’t come with any adaptor to use it with a standard house outlet, so you’ll need a Nema 14-50 outlet on a 40A breaker. It also didn’t come with any type of wall mount for the main unit to attach it to the wall, so it’ll just dangle below the outlet. I was surprised to see that the Nema plug that goes into the main unit was produced twisted a bit so the main unit doesn’t lay flush with the wall like all the others I have. I expected a better quality control out of a company like DeWALT.
Overall, this is a solid option performance wise, if you remove all my disappointments. It offers a good charging ability, with notable quality, convenience and all the basic features needed, from a trusted brand. Good but short cord
Excellent display. Better than most (3 others I own). Works on 3 vehicles I have, two EVs and a PHEV Jeep 4xe.
Display shows voltage, current, and time charging. Thr time charging if great as I don't have to open the door of thr vehicle to see how long it's been running.
It's well made, sturdy. But thr cord is fairly short. It's about 3' shorter than my longest charger and the same length as one on my other NEMA14-50 charger.
Inside of a two car garage, properly placed thr length is fine. Probably not the best for driveway use where parking location is less exact.

Very well-made EV Charger
I have been using DeWalt tools for a long time but never expect an EV charger from DeWalt. The package came with the charger with 20 ft cord and a J1772 on the handle, a NEMA 14-50 adapter, a nice carrying case, and a large instruction manual.
This DeWalt EV charger is very well-made and looks fantastic. It has a waterproof rating IP66 which is great for outdoor use. The connector is sturdy and locked securely onto my Honda Clarity Hybrid J1772 charge port. The charger support up to 32Amp so I can fully charge my car in 2 hours from empty. The digital display on the front shows helpful information, power and charging status. Although it does not have many smart features such as WiFi connectivity, what it has is DeWalt quality feel to it and I expect it's built to last. I love the look and function of this DeWalt EV charger, and I highly recommend this product.

Sturdy and durable
This Dewalt EV charger is sturdy, durable, a great value for the money, easy to use the cord is a nice length and a fast charge speed. My sister stays busy and sometimes forgets that she needs her car recharged, with thus it is portable and lightweight. This can stay in her car.
