Excellent for christmas decoration or lighting

This outdoor / wireless remote control outlet with dual grounded outlets works well and it's easy to use. It would be excellent for christmas, halloween, or any holiday type of decoration. No need to reach behind a cabinet or hard to reach places to plug whatever you need. You can also use it for your regular lighting such as lamps. It's actually great if you live in a two story home and want to turn the lights on downstairs while you are upstairs and don't want to get those expensive complicated Bluetooth connected plugs.

PROS:

- Easy to use and install. Just plug and use.

- Remote controlled which works as far as 100 feet away

- Remote control has an integrated magnet so you can stick it to any metal surface such as a fridge.

- Able to connect two plugs at once.

- 110 volts / 15 amps / 1875W

- Can use it indoors or outdoors

- Looks durable, strong, and performs as described.

CONS:

- It is a little bulky which is hard to hide

- The cable cord is short, about 6" long, which makes it hang from the wall as I show in one of the pictures.

- Both outlets are simultaneously controlled so you cannot controlled each outlet individually.

VALUE:

Excellent value for what you get and the quality of the product. It's a plug and play type of system so no complexity, no issues with connectivity, and for the price, well worth it.

remote controlled outdoor outlet

Works well, great for outdoor patio lights and spaces. the remote has a built in magnet that attached itself to my metal door frame. that is a really neat feature

remote control outlet that is easy to setup and use

These remote outlet switches are very easy to use- they simply plug into the outlet and can be used as a remote extension with a portable switch. You plug it in and plug one or two appliances to it. You press the switch and the device (lamp or fan) turns on/off. Very simple, very easy to use.

This particular switch seems appropriate for anyone who wants a remote switch including probably disabled persons who cannot reach a light switch easily. They really make life easier I strongly recommend this product.

I'm attaching several photos of the device in use.

Photo 1: The switching relay that simply plugs into the wall

Photo 2: The switch you use to activate the switch anywhere around the room

Photo 3 and 4: Off and On switch usage.

Recommend.

100 feet claim is stretch but still worth it.

Multiple benefits hard to overlook.

# 1 benefit is that each outlet gives you two sockets to plug in. So, ultimately you’re controlling six devices out of one remote, which is great.

# 3 benefit is that the ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ buttons are separate. I hate it when the same key is used to turn ‘ON’ and ‘OFF a feature. So, when your trying to turn something ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’ you don’t end up pushing the same key, accidentally turning ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ the same device because the response delay.

In the end, it works if you’re within range. The 100f claim is definitely a stretch.

Does exactly what it says!

Works perfectly and very easy to use! The range works a little farther than 100 ft so that is also good. Definitely worth money!

It worked... for a week

It worked well for a week with enough range, you could switched ON/OFF from 20ft. After a week it works some times one foot away. I have replaced the battery but still works only when you're next to it.

Makes the backyard pop

So convenient! These remotes are SUPER GREAT, with just a click I have plenty of light in my back yard and it looks awesome. Not having to go out onto the bank and plug in/off the lights anymore or fumble through the dark is much safer. Love these remotes❤️

poor range < 30 feet, bad outlet design

the plastic hood gets in the way of many plug types. the remote has a crappy antenna design, and not even close to the advertised range.

not two stars because there are design features i appreciate: the remote has on and off button separate, so you don't get lost as to whether you're turning it on or off. the plug unit has an indicator light which is also an on/off button (here it's okay because, well, indicator light!)

but unless you don't need the range and what you're plugging in isn't a bulky plug, i'd pass on this one.

Great price. Works perfectly.

Works great for our sunroom lights. Much better than plugging/unplugging them everything we want to use them. Remote is a little small but works great. Simple set up.

Nice lights for your deck steps

These are great for remotely turning on lights. They are easy to install. Just plug something into it, and plug it into the wall outlet. I use it with some deck step lights and some some deck string lights (two different controllers). We put one remote at the top of the deck and another in our garage at the bottom of the deck so we can light our path from the garage to the house. I did not rate the timer feature because I haven't tried it. I honestly didn't know it had such a feature.

Incompatible with AC Adapters (Only Plugs)

I had to do minor surgery on the overhang (pictured) with a pair of needlenose pliers and a file to fix this issue. The outdoors utility of the overhang could be preserved and this problem solved if the space between the receptacles and the overhang were increased. Alternatively, describe the product as outdoor only and warn buyers it's incompatible with AC adapters.

Not as pictured-DID NOT WORK!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Not as advertised. No programmable button on front. Not even the same device as pictured on the box or in this ad. There was no battery installed, or in the box. Returning this ASAP. It cost less, looks better, and worked immediately and came with a battery. I’ll be ordering more from them.

Not Reliable Past 30-40 Ft (10-11m) in Typical Applications

Since the primary value of a remote control/switch is, well - being able to control remotely, performance significantly below that advertised strongly impacts my rating. Even though the device seems well built and well suited for use outdoors.

First I tried using the remote outside of my garage with the garage door open. The Outlet portion was lying on my garage floor (inside) with a lamp plugged into it and I walked out the front of the garage, clicking the remote on/off every few feet. I could not get the switch to work consistently over more than about 25' (7-8 m). There was no vehicle in the garage at the time and I made sure to keep within line-of-sight of the Outlet.

I initially thought maybe using the unit with the default "pairing" might be a problem so I followed the (useful) instructions to pair/connect the Remote control with the Outlet. Tried the same scenario over - no improvement.

So, assuming something might have been interfering with the device, though this seems like a fairly normal application, I decided to try the device outside with both the 2-button Remote and the Outlet in the clear. I went so far as to literally hang the Remote Outlet in a small tree (see picture) to make sure there was no interfering device, no WiFi, no building, nothing around it to interfere with the signal from the Remote. I then backed away from the device a few paces at a time while clicking the remote, being careful to keep an open line-of-sight between the Remote and the Outlet. I was able to make it work somewhat reliably at a distance of about 50-60 ft. I would suggest this is NOT a typical use scenario.

Continuing to juggle devices around I finally was able to get somewhat reliable On/Off operation from about 90 ft. (27 m) by holding the Remote Control as high in the air, away from my body, as I could manage. It made considerable difference in range if I kept the Remote away from my body.

Bottom line, if you are able in your use case to create the correct scenario, then this device may work for you to the advertised maximum. But under normal circumstances, in my experience, the control distance will be very disappointing. At least for me, being perfectly in the clear, within line-of-sight with no obstructions around and being able to wave the control around over my head looking for a sweet spot is not a "typical" use case.

Too bad because the Remote outlet does seem very sturdy for use outdoors.

Fire. Product melted. Beware.

I purchased this product November 27, 2019. Less than a year later one of the three didn't work at all. The other two weren't working consistently despite a new battery in the remote. Tonight I smelled electric burning. The source was this item. A hole was burning through the outer plastic shell and it was too hot to touch. Beware buying this brand. Not only is it unacceptable for a product to fail after less than a year, this was dangerous and could have been deadly had we been sleeping, or not home to notice the smell. We're lucky we stepped outside and were alerted by the burning smell before it got worse. Please be careful.

Works well in a flower bed.

I have this device in a backyard flower bed that stays pretty damp. Works great to light my trees. See photo.

Outstanding

I took a chance on my old multi color party lights that the remote quit working but it still had the big plug in control box...This new remote works great...You could not get a new remote from the old light and I was ready to toss them...glad I did not....very happy with this product...it hangs at the back door and we just click the lights on..

Turn on and off easy

Works great for turning elec items on off with ease. No need to flip switches on each device. Kefob uses a CR2032 flat battery. Very happy with the product.

Poorly made fire hazard

The neutral wire wasn't completely soldered to the board and the print overloaded and burned. Thankfully it didn't cause a fire.

This was after just a few months use but it's been working intermittently for most of that time so it's been slowly getting worse until it completely failed today.

Update: due to my bad review the seller offered a free replacement unit. It arrived today and I opened up the case to inspect the wiring and found the same defect of incomplete soldering on the neutral wire at the circuit board. If I pull enough current through this unit, it will overheat just like the last one.

Dead after few months but has great support

Purchased in May to switch 2 outside LED light strings from inside the house and it is already dead. I used it only a few times over the summer. Remote was ok (for a distance of 40 feet) except for 1 or 2 times when it did not turn on for no apparent reason and I had to walk out and push the button.

Anyway, it barely made it thru the summer. Not sure when it died but when I tried it in Dec, it was already dead. Checked inside in case something just got loose, but it seems to be a capacitor that is blown up (see the picture).

UPDATE: After I realized it came with 1 year warranty, I reached out to Dewenwils support and they are great. They responded promptly and are now sending a replacement unit. I hope it will last longer. A+ on their support.

Be cautious, some are duds that are dangerous.

Watch out with this one, the one I ordered arrived with wires not soldered to the board, outlet and shorting out. It got extremely hot after 5 minutes of use so I took it apart to see why. Customer service has since reached out and gave me a replacement that I feel comfortable using. I did take it apart as well and everything on number 2 is acceptable.

Dose the job

Overall works as it should.

Remote is a little light, and feels cheap.

There’s only one mounting hole to slide unit over a screw. I used it to turn on and off my dust collection system, and works just fine.
