We joined the band wagon. It’s a cute book On its own and then you add the stickers and make your own scribble... total hit for our house.
The story rhymes and has a good moral to it. The stickers were the cherry on top. Nicely done! Great gift for a kid 10 an

Great book, just wish it arrived in perfect condition as it is a Christmas gift

This has become one of my favorite books. After reading it to my kindergarten class, they made their own scribbles on 3x3 yellow post-its.

We love this story of inclusion. My daughter felt sad when Scribble was sad and was so happy at the end when he added all the color to his friends. Afterwards we took out her oil pastels and she made Scribbles of her own. What a fun and inspiring book!

Amazing book. Kid loves it. It also comes with stickers so the kids can make their own scribbles. My son loved it.

When I initially received the book and saw the age group was 2-6, I panicked a little! LoL
I read the story and realized the life lesson was valuable no matter if you were 2 or 102! I proceeded with my middle schoolers, 6th-8th grades and we had the greatest time with this project!! I learned so much about my kids. Most of their scribbles were light hearted and fun, but some were very deep and emotional. One has recently lost a parent, some were struggling with acceptance, ups and downs of friendships, and hardships at home. The conversations were amazing and so very rewarding. My students opened up about so many things and took notice of being empathetic to others. The kids enjoyed telling their “Scribble stories” to their classmates and staff! We’ve even had some teachers to stop by and read the book and create their own Scribble. Thanks so much for this wonderful story that teaches such an important lesson and reinforces my favorite topic—kindness!! 5 stars just isn’t enough!

My son (almost 5) and I love this book. We read it almost every night. The rhymes and illustrations are wonderful and the story has a great message. An extra perk are the stickers, with which you can create your own scribble characters. This has kept my son very entertained. I'm about to order more stickers now, to make more characters.

Love this book!!! I teach first graders and this book was hit in my classroom! It is now stored in "Our Favorites" bin for future readings and for all to enjoy. The illustrations are adorable and the story message is powerful and important. In today's world, teaching acceptance is crucial. This book provides a child-friendly lesson about embracing differences and working together with all types to make the world a brighter and happier place! It touches on emotions and the confusion of a cute little character feeling left out because he is different. In the end, instead of "feeling different" the adorable Scribble makes a profound and positive difference in his world! My class was so excited after reading, that they wanted to create their own scribble community of tolerance, acceptance, and togetherness! The photos above show the results of their efforts. THANK YOU Diane Alber...your work has MADE a DIFFERENCE!!! I can't wait to read more of Alber's books to my group of little readers and thinkers!

We’ve been drawing scribbles since the first reading of this book! Cute story and great activities:)

I am a children’s book nerd. I love finding new books for my kiddos. I found this book by accident and decided to order it. I have a three year old boy and a 6 year old girl. They LOVED it! With my girl, we were able to have conversations about instances in the playground and how even though kids are different than her she can still be friends and play with them! My three year old loved learning the colors and discussing the importantance of making new friends.
Afterwards, we all drew our own scribbles and created a creature and noticed how they were all different yet we made up a family.
Thank you for creating such a fun and full book for different aged children! We LOVED it!

Absolutely amazing book!!!! I was beyond excited to read this to my son, who is 9 years old with a diagnosis of Autism! Diana does a wonderful job in showing us that being “different” makes ALL of the difference!! My son and I will surely treasure this book!

My daughter makes us read this book over and over to her. But I don’t mind, I love the story, it teaches some great lessons! One of which is that you are good enough just the way you are. I also think the author had a great idea with the stickers that turn a child’s own scribbles into a work of art. I bought this book directly thru the authors website (hence the reason my review doesnt say verified purchase)..

I bought this for my 6 and 4 year old. Both don’t feel extremely confident as artists, so I wanted to get a book that encouraged them to make more art, be creative, and feel good about themselves. This book went beyond my expectations. Not only did it encourage them to make tons of scribble art and have a blast doing it, but it also conveyed a deeper message: not to exclude others who are different, and give someone new a chance to be friends. Beautiful book! I loved the cadence and rhymes- great for keeping little ones’ attentions. The scribble stickers were the icing on the cake- and I plan to order more. I expect there is going to be a lot of scribble art in our future.

I love this book. This is a story about acceptance, differences and provides a great tool for teachers and parents to have discussions about how we can all work together to create something beautiful.
Creating Creatives
This book is a pure delight! I have a 3, 5 & 7 yr old and they all instantly fell in love with it and the main character. It's a beautiful story showing children that its ok to be different and to look for the beauty in things. As well as a sweet story I also love that it acts as a drawing prompt showing children that it's ok to scribble, in fact thats where most ideas start. It also comes with a pack of eye and mouth stickers which my kids loved playing with. I set up some pieces of paper, crayons, pencils and markers and they went at it scribbling on their paper to make their little characters. My 3yr old was especially thrilled with this as he is know as the "scribble scrabbler" and was teaching my older two how to scribble, it gave him such pride knowing his scribbles meant something. The other cool thing is that my 5 & 7 yr learned some new shapes and ways to make eyes and mouths, which they've started adding to their drawings. I also love using it with my 3 yr old to talk about emotions as there is such a variety of facial expression stickers that come with it. There are just so many great things about this beautiful book. It certainly deserves a spot on every child's bookshelf!

My little nieces love this book and the activity packet keeps them occupied long after we finish reading it. Such a great way to learn and grow in an interactive and creative way. Even my 9 year old can’t help but scribble!!!

Omg the book is absolutely amazing. Everything about this book is a 10/10!! The illustrations are beautiful, love that it rhymes, the story line resonates. Well done! Adults often forget that with children’s art “it’s the process, not the product.” LOVE IT
Valerie
Our family loves this book! It has a great story line, well illustrated, and our daughter loves making scribbles and applying the stickers on her drawings.

My 5 year old daughter has absolutely loved this book since the moment we go it! She said she wants to give it 100 stars! We also got the accompanying workbook which both my 5 year old and 18 month old love to scribble in! I would highly recommend it!

I was worried that this book might be a little simplistic for my 8- and 6-yr-olds, but they had a lot of fun imagining and coloring with the included stickers. We love scribbling!!!

My 6 month old loves this book! It is now and forever will be part of our nightly routine. I can't wait to see what scribbles he creates in a couple of months!

I'll start by saying that Diane has created a phenomenon with this book. Watching my 4yo neice and 2yo nephew get so engaged with the story and then making their own scribbles was all the proof I needed.
This book has near-infinite "replayability" as both a story book, but also as an arts activity. The included stickers allow kids to play with a number of expressions and attitudes for their very own scribbles. And that's what leads me to the biggest plus behind this book.
This book is not only a blast, I found myself having some pretty weighty discussions with my niece and nephew about why scribble wasn't accepted by the other drawings. And then as they moved on to the activities, I found them identifying emotions and facial features (e.g. what do surprised eyes look like?). This is where i was most impressed. I can't wait for any future works from Diane Alber!

We have a four year old and the story of Scribble is a staple of her daily activities. She cannot wait to make her new scribble each day. This book has really helped in her creativity and imagination. It encourages you to create your own story for your scribble, which she ends up doing with all her scribbles now. A must have for the little artist in your life!

My Head Start class loved this book!!!!

My kids love this book! I have a 13 year old, a 10 year old, and a 6 year old and they have all used the stickers provided to make their own scribbles. My 10 year old daughter has read the book to my 6 year old several times now. It's such a great message about being yourself. It has really brought out their creativity in an easy and simple way.
