Dude, the DigiTech Drop is basically a cheat code for writing heavy riffs. I finally picked one up so I could stop constantly retuning mid-session, and now I kind of wish I’d done it way earlier.
It’s insanely simple—no menus, no nonsense. Just turn the knob, stomp it on, and you’re instantly in a lower tuning. It tracks really well too, even with fast, aggressive picking and palm-muted chugs.
What surprised me most is how solid it feels. It doesn’t turn your tone into a glitchy mess or kill your attack—it just shifts everything down and keeps it tight and usable.
Honestly it just keeps the creative flow going. Way less downtime, way more playing. One of those pedals you don’t think you need until you use it 🤘

Excelente producto.
Envio rápido, producto recibido en optimas condiciones y funcionando perfectamente, muy util cuando no podemos tener mas de 1 guitarra y tocamos en diferentes afinaciones.

Awesome pedal!
A fantastic addition to my pedalboard that allows me to play songs in other tunings instantly just by stepping on it!

Excellent addition to the pedalboard
I play in two different bands that each play in several different tunings. This is the fastest, easiest and most convenient way to not lug multiple guitars to every practice or spend several minutes between songs tuning up or down.
Extremely user friendly, much smaller than I anticipated. It works perfectly for dropping down several octaves instantly

Great pedal even though it’s a little pricey
the pedal sounds great and is easy to use. I like to practice with all types of music from Muddy Waters to Mötley Crüe. I just play my iTunes through the surroundsound and play along. If it’s Stevie Ray Vaughan you have to tune down a half step. If it’s Mötley Crüe you have to tune down the whole step. This pedal makes it easy.
my only complaint is that the SELLER shipped it with no instruction manual and a European plug. The instruction manual is easy enough to download but THE EUROPEAN PLUG IS USELESS BECAUSE I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA. So I had to go down to Best Buy and buy an adapter. If the seller is reading this you owe me $27.11 OR ship me the correct plug adapter.

Unit was Dead on Arrival - Nice Quality Control
Super disappointed.
Was really looking forward to modernizing my sound with a drop box and it finally arrived and booM!
Dead as a door nail.
As you see in the pic, it's plugged in but no visible lights, no on/off switch, re-seated the power in the socket and receptacle.
Tried calling the DigiTech support phone number but it errors out.
Well-done DigiTech.
PS I may fix this negative review if they fix this dumb problem that should have been avoided by proper Quality Assurance checks.

If I lost it today I'd buy another tomorrow.
Pros: I'm a bedroom player, I play everything from standard down to Bb with two guitars using this pedal by the simple turn of a knob or a guitar change from standard to dropped d.
Cons: The further down you go it gets a little muddy that can be somewhat fixed with eq but only down to like 4 semitones. The bigger issue is that you have to turn your amp enough to completely cover the sound of your strings or you get a weird sound since what you're playing is a different than what comes out of your amp. Not great when playing at night but that's easily remedied with headphones. That said this is my most used pedal aside from gain.

Great pedal!
Great sounding pedal and way easy to use. Doesn't sound "digitized". I replace the Electro-Harmonix Pitch Fork with this unit and am glad I did.

Does what you expect; although it has some limitations.
Since I am playing in a band where the vocalist requests the song's key would be changed from A down to G, or from D down to C, I needed a mechanism to accomplish this. This pedal offer's the ability to change the pitch down to an octave in half step increments.
For the most part, I am using the pedal to drop into E flat, or one whole tone down. I think that this pedal sounds the most realistic with smaller increments, rather than the lower octave limit.
There are a few minor limitations with the Digitech Drop. The first being there is a slight latency in the signal when the pitch is changed. It is pretty short, but you should be aware of it. The second limitation is that when you are playing at a low volume, and can hear the guitar at normal pitch, it can be confusing. The second limitation is really for quiet usage only however.
My biggest complaint about this pedal is that when used in a band situation, it is difficult to determine if it is on or off.
Some times I can not hear my self, so I bought a small in line tuner to use after the Drop. I do not find the on/ off switch to be useful, since it requires your constant pressing on the foot switch. An LED displaying the pitch would be more useful in my opinion.
