Great fan. It took me a long time to pick one out, but based on reviews and what i wanted to spend i went with this one. Super quiet motor, fan speeds are good, lighting is awesome. 3 options of color of white light and dims as well. The install instructions were super easy to follow and took me and 45 mins to an hour from start to finish. I work in construction so idno maybe a normal person it would be harder but if your handy at all its easy. Also, reached out to customer service to ask how i buy a backup remote, just incase the kids break this one and they are sending me one for free, so thats a plus. Only reason 4 star instead of 5 is because the app to control it SUCKS. Couldnt get it to pair with the fan to save my life, which is why i wanted a backup remote. If you lose the remote your screwed.

I think I’m The first person to actually buy and pay for these fans, but I’m really glad that I took the chance. They are very good looking and the remote has all kinds of upgraded features. A handy friend did the installation, and it took him a total of three hours for both of them, with the second one going a lot faster. Good price, good product.

I installed this Dolavast 52 Inch Ceiling Fan with Lights and Remote to replace an older unit that was old and the style is dated. This one is going into a medium-sized living space, and at around $ 80, it’s definitely in the budget for a 52-inch fan with smart features. I was mainly looking for something that offered good airflow, quiet operation, and a modern appearance. While this fan does that, I’m not sure if I’ll keep it in my main dining area.
The overall quality is decent for the price point. The appearance has a clean, modern look, with black housing and reversible blades featuring a medium-brown wood grain on one side and matte black on the other. That dual finish gives some flexibility depending on the room style. The fit and sizing are appropriate for a bedroom or medium-sized room, and the downrod mount gives it a more substantial look than flush-mount options. It feels solid once installed, but side by side with higher-end brand-name fans I have installed in the past, you can tell the materials are not quite as refined. The functionality is there, but the finish and hardware do not feel premium.
Installation was straightforward when mounting on a standard fan-mount box. It is important that you have a ceilfan mounted electrical box. You can not attach this to just any standard outlet box, or it may fall. One nuance I noticed is that the fan does not allow independent wall-switch control of the blades. In my previous setup, one wall switch ran the light, and the other ran the fan. With this unit, one switch controls power to both the fan and the light, and the remote or app is required to operate the fan. That is not a deal breaker, but it changes how you interact with it day to day. Also, if you had the fan on a double-gang box before, you now have to install a double-gang plate to cover the blank spot. This is honestly why I probably won’t be leaving this fan here because I’ve always felt that blank gang plate scream retrofit and are just ugly.
The features are impressive for this price, though. The quiet reversible DC motor is indeed very quiet, even at mid- to high-speed. The 6-speed settings, which is way more than the three on standard fans, the reverse mode for winter, and Natural Wind mode all enhance its usability. The LED offers three color temperatures from warm 3000K to cool 6500K, plus smooth dimming from 5 percent to 100 percent. The light output is strong enough for a larger room, and the built-in memory function is also a nice touch. Being able to control everything through the remote or smartphone app adds convenience, though it also introduces reliance on electronics rather than simple switches. In my house, we lose a lot of remotes, so I can see this being a problem in the future.
In real-world performance, airflow is strong and evenly distributed as a ceiling fan should. It cools the room effectively and helps circulate warm air when reversed. The motor remains quiet, and vibration has not been an issue. The lighting performance is bright and adjustable enough to handle both task lighting and ambient use, which is certainly the standout feature of this fan.
Another potential limitation is the LED apparatus itself. It is not a standard bulb but a specific light board integrated into and designed for the unit. While it looks clean and modern, replacement down the road may not be as simple as swapping in a bulb, meaning that once the light dies, the entire thing is toast. Durability and longevity will depend on how long the LED lasts or if the DC motor of the fan decides to go kaput. Also, while the quality is acceptable, it does not fully match higher-end brands in terms of finish detail and overall feel.
From a value standpoint, it matches its price point well. At 80 dollars, you get smart app control, a quiet DC motor, reversible airflow, dimmable lighting, and a modern look. It does not completely replace higher-end alternatives in terms of material quality or long-term serviceability, but it gets surprisingly close in core functionality. If you are on a budget and want modern features without spending several hundred dollars, this offers strong value.
My advice is this: if you want premium fit and finish and traditional wall switch control, consider spending more and just go with a traditional fan. If you are comfortable using a remote or app and want customizable lighting at an affordable price, this Dolavast fan is a reasonable, cost-effective option that performs well for everyday use.

This is an excellent ceiling fan. The lighting is sufficient for a large room. The material quality is top notch. The wood grain is a medium brown grain on one side and a matte black on the otherwise. It’s smooth and formal looking. The installation was straightforward when installing at a junction box. The options for both summer and winter usage, turning one way vs the other, for temperature control; so helpful. Being able to control the fixture via the app or remote control is yet another bonus feature. Overall, this is an excellent looking fan that functions as it should.

The 52 Inch Ceiling Fan with Lights and Remote has been a fantastic addition to our family room, blending functionality, aesthetics, and thoughtful engineering into one impressive fixture.
One of the biggest advantages is its compatibility with sloped ceilings. The included hardware makes installation smooth and stress-free, and the downrod mounting system ensures a solid, wobble-free setup. Once installed, it feels sturdy and secure — exactly what you want in a ceiling fan.
The quiet reversible DC motor is truly the standout feature. It runs whisper-quiet, which is especially noticeable and appreciated at night. Whether you're relaxing, watching TV, or sleeping, it delivers powerful airflow without distracting noise. The reversible function also makes it practical year-round.
The 3CCT dimmable LED lighting adds another layer of versatility. Being able to adjust the color temperature enhances the room’s ambience, whether you prefer warm cozy lighting or brighter illumination. It complements the décor beautifully while remaining functional.
The reversible blades are a thoughtful design touch. Having the option of either a sleek black finish or a warm wooden look allows you to match the fan to your interior style effortlessly. It feels like getting two design options in one.
All included accessories and parts feel premium, and the overall build quality reflects durability and attention to detail. The addition of a balancing kit is another considerate inclusion — it’s reassuring to know it’s there if needed.
A special mention goes to the instruction manual. The step-by-step, full-color installation guide makes the entire process straightforward and easy to follow. Clear instructions truly make a difference, and this one stands out.
Overall, this ceiling fan delivers on performance, quiet operation, style, and user-friendly installation. It’s a thoughtful, high-quality upgrade that enhances both the comfort and appearance of the family room.

My ceiling fan and light stopped working and I got this to replace it. The installation was easy, and straightforward. The black sided fan blades give it a slightly more modern look. My only concern is that the light is not a bulb but rather a specific light sheet that seems like it would be hard to find. Hopefully it lasts long enough that it isn't an issue. I have two light switches attached to this unit, and originally one would turn on the light, and the other would turn on the fan. Since they come with remotes now, I have two switches that turn on the light, and the remote is the only way to turn on the fan. No big deal, but I would rather just use the switches and not have a remote.
