Perfect for beginners

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’m really happy with my Donner DED-200 Lite Electronic Drum Set! It’s perfect for beginners and even fun for practicing at home. The pads are responsive, the sound quality is good, and it doesn’t take up too much space. Setup was easier than I expected, and I like that I can use headphones so I don’t disturb anyone.

Great value for the price and definitely made learning drums more exciting. Highly recommend for anyone starting their drumming journey! 🥁

Bass overpowered and other minor issues, good for be

*Amended review

Organization reached out to address all my issues and we came to a satisfactory agreement. Changing from 3 stars to 5 stars because of this.

Original review

I have never taken lessons but consider myself musically inclined. I practiced in this drum set for nearly 7 hrs after purchasing it (within about 3 day). They have some preloaded songs you can play with, which is nice. I hooked it up to my computer speakers.

Highlights:

Pre-loaded songs

Nice feel

Reasons why I dropped two stars:

-Came with 0 instructions to set up, so it was very difficult to assemble.

-head phones it came with are trash

-seat it came with squeaks and is very uncomfortable

-base drum overpowers everything else so I. Basically play without it

This is a toy.

This sounds like a toy and not real drums.

Would Not Recommend For Individual Channel MIDI Users. Get The Cheaper Kit And Buy Sound Samples.

I'm an adult and not a drummer. Got these to use for MIDI input and to see if I could learn how to play a little bit. Quality of the kit itself is good. I didn't put the throne together or use the headphones, because I don't need them since I have my own that I love, so I can't say much about those.

I have to say, the kick sounds are in my opinion terrible. Overly pronounced, loud and one note. Didn't find a single one that I liked. Also, there seems to be reverb on everything, even when you turn it all the way down. Lastly, if you're looking to buy this for MIDI input, don't bother. This kit is more expensive because it has more sounds, but you can't use any of the sounds for individual channel MIDI input, you can only use the sounds as recorded audio, which you can't edit well without things sounding like a clippy mess. Anyway, I ended up having to spend more money to get sounds I could use as MIDI that I love. I shouldn't have had to do that.

I for sure overpaid for my purposes, but it's already set up so I'm just going to keep it. I contacted Donner to see if there's a way for me to get the library, so that I could use the sounds in individual channels. At first they ignored answering my questions, then they asked me to send a video of my issue which makes no sense in my situation, and then when I repeated my questions they ghosted me. Super professional. I have two guitars from them and now this kit, and for the price everything seems to be a good deal, but their customer service is terrible, not being able to use the sounds for individual channel MIDI sucks, and the kick sounds are poor. As a result, I would not recommend this kit. However, this would be good for a kid that wants to learn how to play without annoying people in the house. For MIDI input users, buy a cheaper version and use the extra money to get sounds you like.

UPDATE: The headphones are terrible and cheap. Everything sounds like it's underwater.

The headphones that come with the kit are poor quality.

I was disappointed with the sticks that come with the kit and the headphones, but otherwise, for the money, they are just what you need for entry-level use.

Drumming away

My son got these for Christmas and he is 6ft (18yrs) and they are great. Even better that you can plug in headphones and not hear it, especially living in an apartment. He enjoys playing on these for fun and to help him learn drums!

Kids love it

The kids love it, headphones can make or break the experience, the ones that come with it are decent for kids. Pretty easy setup. This is my first electric variety, I didn’t feel the symbols were as loud as they should be but it gets the job done. Hoping to hook it up to a stereo via 3.5mm to RCA ( theater reciever accepts that ). Also planning on using Midi connection for games and some learning programs.
