This is the worst product I’ve ever received when it comes tech business cards.
This company claims that the card is free, however in order to get a better quality, you have to upgrade and pay a monthly fee.
Which is frustrating because they make the basic plan extremely difficult to use because they do not offer any basic instruction or tech help as you were setting your profile up.
They state that you’re able to edit your profile picture and your profile banner however, the only thing in the basic plan you can do is make it larger or bigger. You cannot resize it. It doesn’t give you the option to crop or anything, no tools whatsoever to help you edit it unless you upgrade..
I will never ever recommend this product to anybody and I’m probably gonna have to fight tooth and nails because they’re going to probably send me a bunch of advertisement spam to my account now

I have been carrying to many paper business cards. I like the versatility of the Dot card. I ordered the business cards holder too.

Set up was quick and easy. Does exactly what I need it to do and offers a app based QR code so if i don't have the card I can still easily share my contact info. But I was bummed to learn to unlock all of the features you have to do monthly subscription.

I didn't like that it came open and already configured for someone else.

This is such a wonderful idea. I ordered one right away. I haven’t had to use it very often, and I spent most of the time accidentally opening it when I open my phone because I stored it in my phone case. But I love the idea. And when I need to use it, it works perfectly.

As a power washing and line striping business owner, the dot. Card in Blue has been a game-changer for networking. Setup was quick—I scanned the QR code, added my contact info, website, and Instagram with before-and-after photos, and was done in 10 minutes. The blue card’s matte finish looks sharp and holds up well, even in my work truck.
Tapping it on a client’s phone instantly shares my profile, which they can save to their contacts. It works with both iPhone and Android, and the QR code is a great backup for non-NFC devices. At a recent job fair, a property manager loved how fast they could access my details and portfolio. Being able to update my profile—like adding a new sealcoating service—without reprinting cards is a huge plus, and it’s eco-friendly.
The dot Card makes my business stand out and simplifies connecting with clients. Highly recommend for small business owners!

This DOT digital business card is super convenient and fun to use. The design is sleek, and it works flawlessly with just a tap — people are always impressed when I share my info this way. Editing and updating your profile is fast and easy through their platform. A great tool for networking — highly recommend if you want to stand out professionally!

This simple little card completely changed my process. I can share my information with my clients so easily it feels like a game. My clients and I love it. You can put everything there. You can even use your cash app link for tips. It's great for tattoo artists.

Won’t load or let me activate it been trying for a hour.

This is amazing
Just download app and I highly suggest one for personal and one for business. And just pay the for the 20 dollar one. If you just prefer the metal I see why u want the metal one but that's the only difference ordering another one for my personal.

Package came open already I’m pissed!

This card is the best purchase of my new year. DONT QUESTION YOURSELF, THIS ONE IS IT.

A great card option for business or pleasure. I've used card for my YouTube business and passing around information at car shows, etc. Very easy, just tap next to their phones or have them use the QR on the backside of the card. I'm now going to be using one for business as I usually forget my paper cards. Having this handy with my wallet is a life saver.

The Dot card is the best option for anyone who wants to easily and professionally share their contact info. I have used other pay options for QR code and short urls to share contact info and they are not worth the money. With a Dot card you get all the same functionality with no cost. If you’re using one of the pay service you’re throwing away your money. Get a Dot card and use your dough on other, more fruitful biz expenses. Wish I had found the Dot card sooner.

A must-have item. Three months ago, the director of our daycare showed me such a card. I really liked the idea because I constantly forget my business cards. I’m a photographer, and my husband is a videographer. We bought two cards, one for him and one for me, and it came in handy on the very first day. I was doing a family photoshoot on the beach. A man came up to me and asked for a business card. As usual, I didn’t have any with me, but I remembered that I had activated and put this card in my bag. That’s how I got a new client.

Everything was great with setting up and activating the card. The card scanned just fine too. The only problem with the “save contact” feature is that my phone number and email didn’t automatically generate in the contact information, it is only the link in my dot profile that pulls in. My iPhone is a 12 max pro and up to date with software update.

All I need is one of these cards in my pocket when I go out rather than carrying a stack of business cards. It's extremely easy to set up your page with all your social media links and contact information. The best part is tapping it on someone else's phone and clicking that save contact button.

This is very easy to set up and share. There is no additional app to download on your phone. All I had to do was scan the QR code on the card, choose what media sites I wanted to share, how to contact me, and where to find my profile. It does work on iPhones and Androids as we have one of each in our household. The card reminds me of a credit card, so it has that flexibility and possible endurance. I just received it so I may check back in after six months or a year to update if it has lasted that long.

Digital Business Card: $19.99 at the time of review
A digital business card is a concept that I've been excited about for, oh, I'd say for the last 20 years or so. A lot of these concepts have come and gone, and nothing has really stuck around as the best. However, with the spread in popularity of NFC technology, we might finally be at a point where something can come out on top and stay there. Like so many others, I've decided to give this version from dot a try.
*What I liked*:
The packaging and start of the process for setting up this digital business card are pretty easy. You pretty much just rip the package open, pull the card out, and hold it up to your phone. After a second or two, it prompts me to open my phone's browser and takes me to the dot website.
When operating in a professional or work setting, it's an awful lot easier than even trying to send them my contact from my phone. However, they've got some competition from Apple themselves. As now iPhone users can just bump their phones to trade contact info. The obvious advantage here though is that you can keep a business profile separate from your personal profile (you may not want to share personal details that are included in your own contact on your phone).
*What I didn't like*:
The first thing that I'll mention here that I don't like is the fact that it requires an account. I understand that in their business model this is probably necessary. However, if you just need your phone to read and write the NFC, a mobile app would have sufficed. I don't want to have to set up and manage another account somewhere just to manage my business card. But I realize that my expectations may be a little too high in this regard.
Another little complaint I have is the card's construction. For $20, I would've liked to have seen a metal card. I realize that metal can interfere with NFC broadcast, but if other high profile cards can figure it out (like Apple Card, and American Express), then dot ought to be able to as well.
*The Bottom Line:*
Ultimately, I will end up using this little digital business card. I want to keep a business profile separate from my personal one, so I don't see myself using the bump feature of my phone. Despite my above listed annoyances, I still think this can be a useful tool for people who run into the need to share their business contact info often. However, it's not a perfect solution. I hemmed and hawed over what final score to give this. frankly, I think it's probably 3.5 stars. For the price, I'd probably still order it over again. But I hope they iterate on it and produce a metal version.

The dot. Card is great to have for business use. I always run out of business cards at the most important moments, so this is great to have as a backup. It works with android and apple phones. You just need to set this up online and input all the information you want to share. Once you need to use this, you just pull out your card and put it behind the phone, which then takes you to the .dot website in which the other person can save your information to their phone.

UPDATED 11-21-2023:
The vendor reached out to offer a replacement card for me at no charge without requiring the original back. I appreciate the quick and easy customer service. The new card arrived, but the box was already opened and the card covered in adhesive - clearly something in the production line caused the box to be improperly sealed/created. But, despite that, the new card DID work as advertised and did not encounter the same issue as my original review. If the new card arrived in better shape I would've given it 4 stars. But, from a functionality standpoint it can be considered 4.5 stars, as the setup with this new card was simple and took under 5 minutes. So, hopefully my first experience was an outlier - but even if you have a bad experience the company is willing to stand behind their product and make it right. That means a lot in my book.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
So, I want to preface this by saying I work in the tech field and do both programming and tier 3 support. I'm highly proficient with a variety of technologies. This device is simply stated, worthless. The NFC data present on the card out of the box didn't exist at all. It was totally blank. After activating the card, scanning with NFC simply stated "no entry" as the data it found. The QR code did correctly take my device to my newly created profile page. I decided to download a third party app to read and write to the card to address the issue. I created a link to my profile in the NFC data, as the dot website has no method to do this and they have no app. Perhaps I received a defective product, but with no NFC data written to the card from the factory this feature simply didn't work. Thankfully I was able to write the NFC data myself, but this shouldn't be required. I'll be writing data to customize the card and avoid the dot profile altogether given how terrible the experience was.
