BLUF: Recommend | 4.7 Stars - Works as advertised, plenty of volume, quality sound, looks nice.
LiKES: Aesthetics //sound quality //variety of sounds //lightweight and compact //its cord is USB-A, but they sent a cube to go with it //uncomplicated, easy to operate //priced reasonably (for today’s economy, anyway.)
DiSLIKES: Not really dislikes but … the sound machine has a 3.5mm aux jack if you want to enhance your sound or wear headphones… Bluetooth to a wireless sound system would be a good addition to this product //it would be nice to be able to mix sounds but that complicates the whole thing and the pricing.
In the reviews I read complaints about: 1) a CRACKLE; I did hear a slight crackle when I cranked it to the max, but it was slight and short-lived, and it did not affect the sound quality, particularly the level at which I need it, which is nowhere near the max //2) VOLUME level; unsure if some have received faulty products (easily fixed by reaching out to seller), but it was PLENTY loud enough for me and my insane tinnitus; if using for dogs maybe not bc of their supersonic radar ears.
SUMMARY: I would recommend the DOUNI white noise machine to anyone needing its services. Plenty of sounds to choose from, quality sound, portable if necessary; get one for your guest bedroom/s, AirBnB, or sleep soundly and give your phone a break. 🙃

Soothing, sound, and relaxing tone
I have struggled with sleeping for such a long time. The surrounding noise from the cars, motorcycles or barking dogs woke me up. My Dr suggested this product (she uses the same one) and I am amazed how I was able to relax and sleep through the night. There is a large selection of sounds to chose from. I enjoy the rain so that’s what I used. The adjustable volume allows you to block the outside noise, the quality of sound is amazing. I feel so relaxed this morning! I slept until 7 am!

Great Quality
I was pleasantly surprised by this little machine. The volume is very adjustable, with many levels to ensure a comfortable one. There are just a ton of different sounds so you are almost guarantied to find one that soothes you. The machine itself is simple, no need for the instruction booklet, just plug in and go. Definitely a great deal for your bucks.

Great product with LOTS of sounds
There's nothing I really don't like. Timer is useless to me bc it only goes 30 60 90 min. With the amount of sounds to choose from you cannot go wrong.

Works good decent bang for the buck
Has a few nice basic sounds. Some sounds do not vary too much and it would be nice to have better variety of Womb or heart beat and maybe some brown noises.
All that being said, it looks nice and classy with the wood finish AND one most important feature; NO lights!!!!!!
We found others that had more choices but they cost more and they had lights that couldn't turn off.
We us it every night, would definitely suggest to people that need white noise, fan sounds etc..

Perfectly Loud
I was looking for something that was really really REEEALLY loud for when I put my girls to bed or down for a nap. It seems like every time I lay them down, “SOMETHING” wakes them up 🤔
Anyway, I’ve found it!!! It’s absolutely perfect & makes loud enough sounds that they don’t wake up at all!!! 🙌 👍🙏🤲👌

I thoroughly love the fact that it has a volume button (it can be as loud or as soft as you want it to be) & multiple sounds to choose from!!! It’s small enough to sit on your bookshelf & has a nice long cord too. I was looking at fans but I’m so so so very happy I found this instead!!

More Annoying sounds than Soothing sounds
I am posting a video to quickly run through the sounds. I bought this machine specifically for a cricket sound. It sounds horrible and it has a heartbeat mixed in with it. The button on the right has a white noise sound if you hit it once or twice that seems good for sleeping. However if you hit that button a few more times it gets very high pitched and not relaxing at all. The middle button sounds are not soothing at all. For the button on the left, the thunder sound and the fire crackling are nice. I'm not sure if they would work well for sleeping. Other sounds worth mentioning are a train going over tracks which would drive someone mad. Another sound is a creepy lullaby. It sounds like it should be in a horror movie with a old porcelain doll smiling at you. Maybe I will use that for Halloween.

I’ve been using a fan to sleep for as long as I can remember, (like 5 years old) so 15-20 yrs.
My significant other has always HATED IT, and so I finally agreed to try a noise machine.
It took 2 or 3 nights to get used to and now I sleep as good as I did before, sometimes I try to shut my fan off when it’s actually this little noise maker.
The volume is great, I have it at the foot of the bed, it doesn’t bother my SO (the real fan would give him a sore throat). The fan noises are a little silly sounding at first but I just keep it set to the last one, which we agreed sounded the most natural.
It takes up VERY little space on the dresser.
Overall — I love it! 10/10 would buy again.

Not a lot of choice on non-fan sounds, but s'ok

It has a decent range of sounds but there seems to be more deeper sounds than lighter. I was hoping for a nice rainfall, but the only 2 options for that are big sploopy drops or thunderstorm. The latter scares my dogs and the former makes me want to pee, so no joy on that front.
It does, however, have some good fan sounds. One button has them from deep to high pitched. A couple of those middle ones work for me.
Its default-on is a pulsing noise that fascinated me, but does nothing to help me sleep heh. It's also got what sounds like a smooth car engine that might work for babies.
The case isn't all that robust, but I don't suppose it needs to be. It's ok, not flimsy. It looks fine to me and the controls are easy to use. It is not, however, heavy enough that you can push a button w/o holding the case down.
Overall I'm of the "it's OK" frame of mind. It'll depend somewhat on what noises you're interested in. Since I only care for 2 of them, it's a 3 star for me. I made a video of the sounds, if that'll help. They are, in order:

Best thing I have bought
This little machine is one of the best things I have bought! I am sleeping so soundly and thru the night! Love all the different tones of a fan running as well as the white noise options. And for the daytime hours I have been enjoying the many sounds most especially the birds. I have not traveled with it yet but it is so small it will pack up nicely! Best nights sleep (since I received this) in 5 years! Absolutely Love This Little Machine!!!
UPDATE!!!! Not even a year old and it has a faulty wire to the speaker??? Really Love this machine but wondering about the craftsmanship and or quality control of it.....See attached pictures you can see that someone tried to fix it and pass it thru the quality control....I believe that I just received a lemon, unfortunately because I really like this sound machine but the sound is now gone....

Bought this product as a last resort. It gave me the best nights sleep I've had in recent memory.
I have been plagued with a sleep disorder for months. Finally broke down four nights ago and took a sleeping pill.. It worked fairly well but left me feeling groggy the next morning and that's something I can't deal with. The Douni Sleep Sound Machine arrived on Monday, and I used it that night and last night. I've enclosed a screenshot taken of my sleep score for the past seven days. The two on the right are the nights I used this product. I slept in excess of 8 hours each night and had the highest sleep scores on my Fitbit since I got it over a year ago. I usually get five or six hours and get up about as tired as I am when I go to bed. The last two nights have been great. I used the ocean waves the first night, and the thunderstorms the second night. I'm looking forward to trying the other sounds and finds the one that gives me the optimum results.

The BEST Sound Machine - And I have tried many...
I purchased this product but waited awhile to write a review. This was for a few reason - longevity, quality, durability and to see if other reviews claims of "voices" were real.
1) LONGEVITY - This has travelled with us on a few family vacations and has been banged around. It is a touch quality prouduct. Plus, it looks more beautiful then your typical white machine that shows every speck of dirt.
2) QUALITY - Buttons work well, the speaker is protected by the wood, and the speaker is covered by fabric. I love this this is not a fan that pushes air around, DRYING the air, and creating a ton of dust on the machine or in the room. My other noise machines get filthy beyond repair or complex cleaning.
3) DURABILITY - My children are ROUGH. They argue over this noise machine because it has the sweetest most relaxing lullaby tune on it. We listen to that lullaby way more then the regular fan sounds. This machine easily packs up and disconnects from it's cord.
This is the best noise machine I have found on the market. I wish I had purchased this one before all the other "name brand" ones. It lasts longer, better quality, more eye appealing and we can't get over the lullaby!

Really Impressive Sound Machine!
I really love this sound machine! It is attractive, the exterior plastic wood does not feel like super cheap plastic, and it is compact. The sound quality is amazing and I am really impressed by how many different sound options there are (24 in total). I love that the buttons are silicone and not plastic as well because it makes no additional noise when I adjust the settings or turn it on. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars on travel is that it does not have an option to use batteries so if you were to go camping or somewhere without an electricity source, this wouldn’t be the machine to bring. Otherwise I am really impressed and like it more than my other sound machines!

Other than how pretty this sound machine is we love the sounds. Our favorites are the fire crackling, the waterfall, the birds, and the storm. One thing I wish all products had is the piece that holds your cord underneath it as shown here. I definitely recommend this product.

Beautiful & functional!!
My husband and I have been using the Douni Sleep Sound Machine in our bedroom at night to wind down from the day and we love it! There are 24 sounds to choose from and it is very easy to use! We love that it has the option to set a timer so if we do fall asleep, it won’t be on all night long. My favorite thing about the sound machine is how aesthetically pleasing it is! It goes really nicely with our decor and the size of it is small so it doesn’t take up a lot of space on your table! I’d recommend. :)

Easy to use and high quality sounds
This sound machine is amazing. Not only is it very attractive looking. I love the wood grain look but it comes very high quality. The cord attaches on the bottom making it neater which is very cool.
Once plugged in it's very easy to use. You can set a time 30 60 or 90 min or just have it run all night.
I love how easy it is to filter between the different sounds just a click of a button or the main sounds of a fan or white noise are readily available.
Ita volume is super easy to control and makes it perfect for different size rooms.
I'm so excited to use this and not have to worry about doing my laundry and waking my son. Now he has his own noise machine.

Great sound machine for the price, great customer service
Update 1/2020: the company reached out to us and sent us a replacement since the sounds ours was making were defective. I’m making the review 5 stars again for customer service!
Update 12/2019: Call us crazy but both my husband and I have heard different noises and sometimes voices in the white noise. There is almost a pattern to them and makes it hard to fall asleep sometimes. We will be moving our daughter out of our room soon and this will be going with her since she sleeps a thousand times better with it. We have gotten used to sleeping with white noise, so we will probably try to get a different one.
So far this has been a great sound machine. We use it in our room to help out baby sleep at night. The white noise setting is great and the volume is plenty loud for us even when it isn’t maxed out. We will continue to test out the other sound options as well. I love the small sleek design and that it blends in well in our room.
Initially, I was worried about the power cord not reaching all the way since it sit on top of our tall dresser. However, the cord is perfectly long and even has a little extra.
Though this isn’t meant specifically for travel and lacks a rechargeable battery, it is small enough that you could pack it in a suitcase without worrying about taking up too much room. We won’t be using it for travel though because we have a portable one with a rechargeable battery already.
I also love that this has the option to set a timer on it or have it run continuously. We always use the continuous setting to keep it running though the night. My only complaint about this machine so far is that the location of the timer button and power button are not very intuitive for my husband and me. We both feel that the locations should be swapped, but hopefully we will get used to their locations. It is definitely a minor flaw compared to the other great features of this machine.

Best Sound Machine
This sound machine is AMAZING. We used it for the first time last night in our room and I slept like a rock. The amount of sound effect choices it has are incredible. The sleek wood design gives it a modern feel that fits with normal home decor very well. I’ve always hated the look of sound machines but this one is so well designed and small enough to fit on a nightstand. The sound is surprisingly loud and can get very low if that’s your preference. I have nothing bad to say about it!

HAVE TO HAVE IT!
Not one thing I dislike about this. Worth every penny! I actually got this noise machine for when baby arrives but I’ve been using it myself bc it’s so soothing! My favorite is the rain/storm sound. I plan to play this Christmas Eve on the fire crackling noise as we all sip hot chocolate. Absolutely love this and blown away with all the different sounds it plays and the timer options of 30, 60, or 90 minutes is great as well! This is the best noise machine ever!

Tons of sound options
Love this product! It came right after I had my baby and has made all the difference getting her to fall and stay asleep. My husband likes it so much that he said we should get another one to keep in our room after she moves into her own room. The woodgrain look to it is a total bonus because it actually looks cute and isn’t an eye sore, blends right in with the rest of our bedroom decor.
Despite there being so many different sound options and minimal buttons, finding the sound you want is quick and easy! I also really liked that the cord attaches to the bottom which keeps it flat and out of the way.

Soothing Bliss
Our son likes reading the #Dogman series to his sister before bath time. While reading, I tend to have white noise playing. Not only does the reading help them bond, the sound machine also helps calm her before bath/bed (unless I walk in the room and disturb them 🙈🤦🏻♀️). We absolutely love our sound machine! It features 3 timer options, but my favorite is the continual running without a timer. The fan mode works wonders while she sleeps. If you get a chance to snag one of these, do so ASAP you won't regret it! 💗🙌🏼🙏🏼

I love this machine! It has a large selections of sounds to choose from. It has fan noises, nature noises and white noises to choose from.
I found the fan noise that is so close to my actual fan that it puts me right to sleep!

Such a great addition to our toddler's room!
We recently snagged a new diffuser/sound machine combo for our infant and our toddler was so jealous of his little sister. He wanted some "noises in his room" too. After a few nights of struggle, I knew we needed to get him something so that he didn't feel left out. The buttons are easy to push so he is able to choose his noise for the night himself and the sound is loud enough that it definitely drowns out the baby cries. He really likes the "drums" (fetal tone) or "bugs" (crickets) and it has solved the problem of jealousy in our home! I love how it fits right in with our decor and we can set the timer to play during his bedtime, but be done by our bedtime. This way it does not interfere with any noises coming through the baby monitor over night. It is small enough that we are definitely taking it to Disney with us next month as well! Such a great design.

Addicted to Douni Products
I love this white noise maker! We had a different white noise maker we bought from a baby store for our first child. It worked well but it was clunky and the sound quality wasn’t great. I bought this Douni white noise maker because I also own two Douni A5 speakers which I love.
I am very pleased with this purchase. The unit is nice and small, but the sound quality is loud and clear. I would say the circumference of the unit is the size of a large soup can, and it’s maybe 3 inches tall. Nice and compact to pack in a diaper bag or overnight bag. I also really like the wood grain finish, very modern. The buttons are easy to use and pretty simple to understand. Will be using this every night when our next child is born in December!

Perfect sound machine!
My boys NEED sound machines in their bedrooms to sleep well so this sound machine was the perfect addition to our new baby’s nursery! It has so many different sound options, is small but can get very loud which is great for traveling and it’s a great price! I highly recommend this sound machine! Amazing Sound Quality At A Great Price!
I love this sound machine! I have ordered a few trying to get a clear sound and have been disappointed, but the Douni sound machine has excellent sound quality! The sounds are crystal clear and you have so many options to choose from.
I also wanted something that looked good in his room. The wood grain look of this machine was PERFECT!! His room has bright colors, as you can see in the pictures, but mixed with rustic accents. The wood grain detail on this sound machine looks amazing in his room!
I also love how easy it is to use. My son loves to go through the sounds and pick what he wants to go to sleep with, usually landing on the ocean because that’s what we played when he was a baby. He loves that he can change it all by himself though.
I can’t recommend this sound machine enough. Great sound at a great price!

User friendly and esthetically pleasing
Finally a sound machine that looks cute in my home. Not only that but it’s super user friendly, and I love that it has a bunch of different options. For example you can choose the duration of the sound, or just have it go all night. It has three different types of sound options and over 20 different sounds. It is is super easy to just throw in a purse or suitcase for travel.
