Absolutely incredible speakers!

TL;DR These speakers get very loud and have great clarity, even without an amplifier. Could not be happier with these.

Mounting was a little tricky due to the way the speaker holes are in my '04 Expedition, but not any fault of the speakers. Once I snipped the side tabs off, they fit great.

To be expected, the bass isn't the strongest (I installed a subwoofer regardless, so it didn't matter to me), but for 5x7s they can actually handle some decently low notes when playing rap, and have a very nice punch when playing metal/rock.

Highs are very crisp and sharp which I love, and they are crystal clear; the "unparalleled clarity" really isn't an understatement. Mids feel a *little* strong for my liking at times, but not nearly enough to be annoying or overbearing.

A nice touch is that they come with two sets of wires if you need them (which some higher end brands don't even include), along with a little decorative sticker.

For the price, you genuinely cannot beat these speakers. Absolutely recommend.

Nice set for the price!! Love the look!

So far they are nice and crisp on my motorcycle!!! The head unit i had them on was crappy so i spent the extra 💰 for one with a built in amp. Hopefully they dont aound distored at medium high volume like on the old head unit

Bad quality

This is the worst speakers I ever bought. They did not last I will never recommend them to anybody.

Damaged product. Clearly a return at some point

This product was clearly opened damaged and returned. Box torn, and multiple locations harness connector broke off on the side of speaker other wires unraveled.. all in all not happy..

Clean 4x6

Pretty nice quality for 50$ ds18 don’t disappoint decent bass and good sound for a little speaker good highs fit good in 2003 sliverado

Definitely worth the buy!!!!!!

Build quality is great, ease of setup is good too, took me about 45 minutes to install them.will be buying another pair soon

honest review

this review will probably get deleted, They are loud but when sharing many frequencies at once you can hear why they’re cheaper than most. if loudness is all you care for, they’re perfect. for the music I listen to, i’m surprised they lasted. they’re definitely durable.

If you’re looking for 4x6 speakers I highly recommend the Infinity KAPPA463XF, just replaced them from the ds18s and they are louder and hit tones much better, more efficient bass.

Clear sounding speakers

Sound amazing and have incredible treble but literally produce no type of bass to it. Great for sound staging in vehicles or even a small portable speaker box but if you want that punch to it this doesn’t provide it.

Simple plug and play, great sound and don’t forget it’s loud but balanced

Terrible qc great speaker

The first set of these I received the tweeter was completely broken off they need to handle these better when shipping them or better packaging. On the other hand they do sound pretty solid for the price these hooked up to a small amp get pretty loud the bass is disappointing but I have my sub to handle all the bass and run a high pass filter on on my speakers these can get pretty loud without distortion nothing crazy but for the price it’s solid and a lot better than jvc or alpines I’ve tried I will say they blow easily don’t run over 50w rms

I'm so disappointed in the false advertising 🤦

As you can see in the pictures that I posted, there are only actually two speakers. The third one is just a hollow shell of plastic that doesn't even have a voice coil or wires going to it. The tweeters on these speakers at least on the 6x9 version are atrocious. I've tried the recommended wattage. I've tried higher wattage and lower wattage and I still can't get them to not sound like absolute garbage. I bought DS18 in the past and looked them but this is unusable.

Used new product

Opened box 1st speaker was beautiful 2nd speaker was used and had the mounting tabs ripped and cut off this was avertised as new 1 was 1 wasn't

Speaker cone warped

These sounded decent for the money when first installed. After about a year they started sounding very "crunchy" or " like static". I just pulled these out today and found the speaker cones have warped. As music is played these cones move and with the cone being warped the movement causes the static or crunchy sound and they sound horrible. These probably warped due to the heat here in Texas but I have owned many other speakers which this has not happened to the cone. I would not recommend these speakers until they change the material which the cone is made out of.

Awesome little speakers!

I got these for the dash speakers on my 2002 S10. Its running stock voice and bass, no amps, stock wiring, aftermarket radio. Loud and clear like all the DS18 speakers i own, looks very nice, love the red, well built, very reasonable price. I love these little speakers & DS18😊
