This speakers r the best in the world is always buy them for every car I have i have 4 in the doors from before and now I bought 4 more to arm this speaker box only that I got 1 first wich was an 8" by mistake wich i have to return to get the other 6.5 to finish my speaker box for this

Not 5.25 these are 5 inch. Edge to edge on the flange is 5 inches. Ordered these to fit a custom panel and now have to customize the custom panel to make them work and not even sure how they'll sound yet. Better be worth it

I ordered 4 of these and when they arrived two of them were packaged differently than the other two, after opening the boxes I noticed that two of them had been used and were probably packaged differently due to being previously returned. Manuals and stickers missing out of those two boxes. The speakers that were used were covered in crumbs, grass, dirt, and hair. Also had scratches and chips in the paint around the basket.
The speakers sound good but I'm not ok with receiving returned items when I paid full price for brand new items.

Good speakers, loud and clear and surprisingly have a little bit of bass to them. I installed on a 2001 ram 2500, and did have to make some spacers to not obstruct the window path. Theh did fit perfectly without having to cut open any holes in the door panels .

When the package was delivered I opened it and there was a random used broken speaker. Seems like someone returned there old one in the new speaker box. Now I gotta wait for a another new one to ship

I’m absolutely sure I will forever be buying ds18 speakers.. not only does it sound great, the dynamics of their stylish design are far beyond any normal speaker. The even gave me a little surprise in the packaging..

I installed the speakers my self and made sure everything was good in power didn’t want to blow the speaker because I hooked them into a amplifier. 3 weeks later one stopped working out of no where now I have a brand new speaker not working and ds18 won’t contact me to at list tell me they can’t do anything about it. First experience with ds18 and my last . Bad experience

I'm currently running these on stock power (2011 Genesis with Lexicon system) and these definitely get loud. Bass isn't the best but I've got a subwoofer to cover that so it isn't much of an issue for me. But if you're planning to run these without an aftermarket amp you'll definitely be surprised with the amount of volume you get. Will be adding an aftermarket amp so definitely looking forward to how much louder these will sound.

I had some 6.5 jl audio speakers on my dopes before I came across this brand on Facebook seen a lot of great reviews so I purchased a set for my self these things are huge and heavy (very good thing) I had to trim my door a bit to make them fit once installed I played the music i usually listen to at 50% volume and wow they sound effin good (not even amped) as a car audio enthusiast and car audio installer I would definitely recommend these to all my clients !!!! Can’t wait to power these up with my amp !!! Decent price for great audio packaged nicely and of course I slapped the decal that was included on the box on my windshield

ordered 2 DS18 PRO-X4.4BM Loudspeakers, received 3. 1 new in the box and 2 in a plastic bag looking used and beat to hell. Most of the corners are bent in and I am pretty sure, since they was in the same bag, the corners were digging into the speaker materials. Accident? Possibly? Really hard to see it that way though. Real obvious they are not new but getting sent out with a new one........

The first 2 speakers came bended due to bad handling during delivery, but they replaced them quickly. Other than that they sound ridiculously amazing. I have 8 on my car and it sound very similar to a concert.

They could be more bassy but they are stupid loud with the stock speakers it was pushing 140 watts now its pushing 300 watts I'm in love with them so far😁💯

They are great drivers, they sound good, handle a little bit of bass (above 80hz) and produce clean sound. I have had to re-order them through a different seller just to get them. Or they come over a week late. So if you can wait for them to arrive, and not need them for a show within a certain amount of time, go ahead and order.

This little thing is screaming!!! I’ve noticed that a lot of people have said that it doesn’t put out much bass. Well in a way it’s true if you’re just installing these speakers without a subwoofer. At the same time they do flex a little but you need to connect them to an additional amp and not just to your car stereo, to get the sound these babies are made for! But if you are putting this/these type of speakers with a big subwoofer which is my case, then this speakers are ideal and put out just enough bass when turned up high not to interfere with the bass that your subwoofer will produce. Because if you have a subwoofer installed with door speakers that trying to bump at the same time, then it sound like crap. This speaker puts out the exact amount of bass that I needed which won’t make the whole system sound bad when I have the subwoofer installed, I’m still working on box for the new subwoofer. But from my experience I can Already tell that it will sound awesome!
I’ll try to load some videos of before and after as well as pictures. And of the Decibel reader that I have, but it reads only up to 130db and with this new speaker it kept saying overload or something like that 😂
If you have a dedicated amp for them then don’t overload them from the beginning like I did by mistake, need to brake them In for a few days first. It got stinky in my case for a little while but it didn’t burn out.
Pros: 1. Very loud and crisp
2. Good build quality
Cons: 1. 30 minutes later I still got a headache after running some test lol 😂
You cannot really see it flexing on the video but it does flex a little!

So far I'm very happy with them, I have the 8 inch in my front doors and the 5.25 inch in the rear doors. There powered by a Hifonics Zeus 2000 4 channel and there crisp clean and extremely loud and match my subwoofers giving me an even sound all the way through my system.
