Smooth

These petals are very durable with easy assembly for transferring for show to show. Smooth chain capability makes the sound quality from beat to beat so much better and crisp. The adjustment capability for foot spacing is Plus for onstage performances to casual practice definitely worth the money. I definitely recommend the dual pedals.

Like them better than Trick Pro1-V big foot

For the longest time, I've never thought about buying or using anything related to DW. I've always been a Tama person, from the Iron Cobra Power Glides, Rolling Glides, Speed Cobra, the made my speed cobra into a direct drive by purchasing Demon Drive direct drive cams and putting them on. Made the pedal faster and a bit more smooth. But then I sold those and a few years ago I bought Trick Pro1-V Bigfoot double pedal and that thing was a beast. Super fast, easy to do heel-toe, then over the couple years of having them, I started noticing that my speed was starting to become slower. (I play better with chain driven over direct link.) With Tama Iron Cobras and the Speed Cobra, I was able to hold 16th notes at 220bpm. I could barely get over 16th notes at 180bpm with the Trick pedal, couldn't get used to them. So I went to a local music store and saw the DW9002 double pedal. It was the only pedal I haven't tried. I've played on Axis xl, pearl powershifter, eliminators, demon drives, Gibraltar, Yamaha, Trick, Tama, Ahead and they were all really good. Now I thought DW was just popular because people gave them so much hype. Now I've played on the 5000s, 7000 (when they were around), 8000s (when they were a thing) and I just could not get used to them. Played on their drums and I thought they were just another popular brand that was given too much hype until I played on the DW9002 at my local music store. Within 5 minutes of playing them, my speed and stability was on point it was like my speed and stability never changed and I just love the customization and the adjustments this pedal has. I was debating these over the Tama Dyna-Syncs (almost bought them) I'm really happy that I got to try out these 9000s because they're very very smooth, they're most likely the best pedal I've played on however, there is one thing I don't like about this pedal and that is the beaters. I think they're a little too heavy for my playing style. From what I read, they're 103grams and the Trick Pro1-V pedals beater weight is 68grams. Now that's a huge difference. But I see that the DWSM110 beaters are just a tad bit lighter than the Trick Pro1-Vs when they're completely empty from the little weights you get with the beaters. I want to get those with the DW9002 pedals. Other than that, I think these pedals are hard to beat when it comes with adjustability. No other chain driven pedal that I can think of has the same amount adjustments as the DW9000 pedals. Direct drive yes. You have adjustable came, pedal hight, beater angle, and a couple other stuff. I love this pedal. I went to a guitar center and played on the Tama Dyna Sync and the DW9000 pedal is just a tad bit smoother, you didnt have to put so much effort with the 9000s even when the tension spring was maxed out. I like playing fast and a lighter beater would make the DW9000 much faster. I light to have light fast feel without pushing so much on the pedal due to the tension spring being maxed out.

great craftsmanship. Fun

After owning this pedal for a few years, it has exceeded my expectations as a double pedal! Superb craftsmanship. Fun. Once the settings are where you like them, they will stay locked in!

Worth every penny

Amazing pedals. Totally worth the money. Ou can check them out on youtube for a review o them. But I gotta say that I don't regret having bought them. I do advise to change the dhaft though. It's amazing how the left pedal changes. I put on a Trick shaft and I have two right pedals now
