I’m not a musician nor am I musically trained in any way. Whether misled or buyer ignorance, I would have never purchased knowing now what I didn’t know then. Sound is good, but definitely not a beginner drum set for young adults. Advertised for teens but more suitable for toddlers. Easy assembly. Disappointed is the only word that comes to mind to describe this product. Do not buy if you’re looking for an 11 year old. Probably great for a six year old.

The instructions weren’t so helpful so I looked up the drum set on YouTube to help me put it together.

My son liked this drum set overall, but is now having consistent problems with the snare drum. The pieces inside the snare have broken and there are loose pieces floating around and the drum can no longer be tightened so therefore has lost its intended sound. I can’t figure out how to get in touch with the seller to resolve this issue, but would need a replacement snare to fix the issue.

I bought this set for my son for Christmas. Once put together it’s a great beginner drum set. Great price. The directions were horrible, and it’s a lot to figure out if you’re not a drummer. I got it all together but it took me 3 hours and I had quite a few left over hardware. The directions had very basic pics on it and no explanation. Good luck

Snare Drum Coating Immediately began chipping after just two or three short uses of the drum set. Great, now our 2 year olds acceptance into the Music Institute of Chicago is in jeopardy! Thanks alot Eastar! :)

He loves it. He's been drumming since he could hold sticks. And he's not the most gentle drummer so keep that in mind. But the paint has worn from the snare and all but one of the steel snare strings has broken. He's pretty upset about that part but loves it still. Hopefully I can find better steel strings for it. Overall happy with the purchase, but be aware of that part if your little drummer isn't delicate with it.

I’m gonna start by saying I don’t know anything about drums.
I got these to learn on and I had NO CLUE how to put them together. The instructions were basically non existent…. So I found a YouTube video by a guy called Demon Sweaters… even though I was totally put off by his name I became soooo grateful to him since he really did a phenomenal job explaining how to assemble them!
They sound good to me and my novice ear and they are fun.

Product comes with one year warranty. Within two months of normal use the kick pedal chain was broken. Reached out directly to customer service via email with details and photos. I am a very handy person but the chain couldn’t be easily repaired. I expected the item to be warranted out and replaced. Instead I have been given the run around while “technical support” researches potential solutions. Poor customer service. Very disappointed this wasn’t just replaced. Son is upset his favorite birthday present is unplayable for weeks.

I'm sad that the original order was missing pieces, HOWEVER the seller was able to provide the parts needed and we are happy to say the set is complete and being used daily by the whole crew The intended recipient is 8, his 9 year old sister is more pleased that he was. Very well packaged. Beautiful blue color. Easy to assemble. Sounds pretty good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the hole that the cymbal screw , screws in seems to not be big enough. The screw wouldnt go in far enough to hold the cymbal rod in place. I had to stuff plastic in the metal lug to hold it in place.

All would have been well if all parts were included but they weren't. The black ring you see goes on the bass drum. The bass drum is the center of everything. It should have been 2 of those rings. Sadly there was only one, this was a gift for X-mas. Now we can't complete the drum set until we figure out how to get this piece. Please open and check you purchase early. Now we are trying to get a replacement.

Packed well, Assembly was straight forward and simple. Bass Drum needed legs attached which were 2 thumb screws, and front and back drum heads attached using provided key and tension rods. Had a bit of issue with one of the tension bars, but thankfully there were spares included so I didn't need to stress about it. Floor tomtom needed drum heads and legs attached, same as bass drum. Snare, medium, and small tomtom were assembled and ready for tightening and mounting. I got the set put together while watching some football.
Set is perfectly sized for my daughter. She is going to be thrilled with it Christmas morning.

About 12 years ago we bought a little cheap drum set. It cost maybe 30 dollars and lasted a month. This is a full sized, considerably better drum set! As a young couple there is no way we could have afforded this back then, so it is on the higher end for a young family on a budget. (Note: Eastar does make a simpler set for half the price)
But, now as a homeschool family, the price is what I would expect for my kids to be learning on for music class. You definitely get a very good value for your money!
It took about 2 hours to assemble with the help of two of my kids. One thing I would say is to make sure you run your finger around the bass drum rim and tom tom before placing down and tightening the drum heads. When I did the first tom tom drum head I didn't check and a little wood fleck or grain pressed into the head. It'd be awfully easy to puncture the head as you're focused on tightening evenly. Also make sure you tighten according to the pattern on the back of the instructions for a good even tension (my teenager pointed that out to me).
The Hi-hat cymbals are tricky to understand. Sandwich the top cymbal between the felt and screws, similar to the crashing symbol. Then, rest the lower cymbal on the larger felt with the plastic screw to keep it from jumping up. Then, adjust the pedal height to what you prefer.

It seems to be a good buy for a 6 yr old - young teen. I think even I could sit in a adjustable desk chair at this set and learn some drumming patterns.
I'm very pleased with our purchase! It is a solid entry level junior set!
