Excellent smart padlock. I used it on my patio door. It's easy to use, and what I like most is that I can open it with my fingerprint and with the app. I don't need to carry keys with me to open it. I recommend it.

Biometric padlock for Shed

I have really enjoyed this lock, my kids kept leaving the shed open after figuring out my combo. I didn’t want a key lock so I tried this out. It’s worked better than I expected. Can add multiple fingerprints and also has a key for backup.

No regrets!

We have come a long way when it comes to advanced home security and this cool padlock clearly falls into that category, fitting the bill 100 %. I have been interested in a “smart” lock for my house (backyard gate) for a while but always hesitated to buy one - until now (thinking I can always return it, but there certainly is no need for that). This lock feels and exudes HEAVY DUTY and although I need another app on my phone about as much as I need another hole in my head, download, install, and subsequent use of the thing worked without hiccups. Very versatile, reliable, and convenient to use, it really does the job. And - bonus - it's packaged nicely enough to even give it away as a gift to one of those people who already have everything.

Maybe More than Necessary, but Excellent Product

This is a fantastic product, despite the fact that I realized it is more than I really needed... meaning, a much lower cost product would serve my needs. That minor detail in no way detracts from the value of this exceptional product!

Super well made and manufactured, the hardened steel is heavy duty and unblemished. The biometrics are instantly responsive, and the battery life is... still on it's first charge! The set up is relatively easy if you have familiarity with dealing with product app setups. While my parents were annoyed at the fingerprint recognition setup process, they've certainly come to appreciate the ease of access whenever they want to unlock the pad and do not have to "run back in the house to grab the key"! (Gratefully, it also comes with a pair of keys should something go awry.)

Want to give someone access who doesn't have a logged fingerprint? No worries, you can give them access through the app! We used this for a short period of time when we were selling a rental property out of town. Various family members were available for at various showing times, so this eliminated the need to exchange keys or to keep one in a lock box at the property.

Very much like the product, even if it is now kind of overkill for our basic needs. Wouldn't get rid of it though!

So much easier!

I have to go to my electrical box a lot. So much to fix. I have a lock that due to weather etc it’s a pain to get open and I have to get the combo right. This lock is strong and keeps the thumb pad covered from the weather. See video how easy to access comes with with charger cord and keys, just in case.

Great Biometric Lock with backup key and phone app

This lock is really great. It holds more than one finger print so both myself and my spouse can use the lock. It has back up keys. You charge it with a USB plug. We have it on an outdoor gate and it has a cover part that you use your finger print on that is protected when your not using it. It came with directions---- the print is really really small. I would love for them to enlarge the print for the lock directions. We will probably buy a few more of these locks. It is very handy for us to speedily unlock our gate and to lock it back when we leave. It is a heavy duty lock with cut resistant metal. It is easy to set up. The app is easy to use with the lock and another great feature.

Heavy duty padlock: opens with fingerprints, smartphone app, and keys!

I got this eLink Smart Lock as I have a storage shed. It is nice the lock opens with finger prints and smart phone app similar to modern electronic door locks and smart garage door openers.

This heavy duty lock has a stainless steel shackle that can with stand heavy force pull (3000 Newton). With anti-vibration design, the lock is suitable for transport trucks and boxes that are often transported. The body of the lock is made of alloy steel and zinc and can withstand harsh weather for outdoor use. This lock has IP67 waterproof rating.

Surprisingly, this heavy duty lock (with size about 4.5” x 2.5” x 1”) weighs only about 9 ounces. Therefore it is easy to carry the lock to or from its place. The locks construction, appearance and feel indicates a high quality. With a shackle diameter of about 1/4” and a clearance of about 1.5”, the lock will fit most padlock uses.

The lock comes with a set of two physical keys. However, I like the finger print opening that is simple and easy. You may register up to 100 fingerprints (for you, family members and others depending on the situation). You may name each fingerprint to identify who opened. In addition, the lock may be opened with a smartphone app (eSamartLock) that operates with Bluetooth.

It is easy to set up fingerprints and the app. The advantage of using the app is it maintains a history of each method of opening with a date and time stamp making it very useful in a small business or office environment for security monitoring. As an administrator you can authorize unlock permissions to your family and friends remotely.

The lock comes with a USB-C cable and a 500 mAh rechargeable lithium battery. Once fully charged this fingerprint lock can last about 24 months in standby mode and can unlock about 8000 times! If the internal battery is depleted the lock may be opened with keys or after charging with an USB power bank.

The lock is very versatile and I will recommend this to anyone who needs a padlock.

Good lock but not a great lock

This is a nice lock, but it's not a great lock. There's a few disadvantages with it, which I'll get into. The overall design and feel of this lock is nice, looks and feels modern and high tech. No sharp corners or burrs, it's machined nice and feels nice, with a textured finish.

This lock's shackle is NOT like your normal shackle; there is no notch that catches on the latch in the lock. This lock looks to work off of magnetism, to hold the shackle in the lock itself. You can see in the pictures, there is no notch nor a latch in the lock. When unlocking it, you can hear a machine whirring inside the lock, of which there's a 3 sec timeout, where the shackle will not lock back into place, after being unlocked. After 3 seconds, you can then reinsert and lock the shackle, at which point you'll hear the same whirring sound, which seems to be a magnet being lifted back into place?

On top of that, this lock is listed as weatherproof, but it severely lacks such protection. You can see in the pictures, the only waterproofing are the rubber inserts for each of the lock's penetrations. But they are not the IPX standards for waterproofing, just a rubber boot for them. For the physical key boot, it fits nice and easy for it, a tight fit. But for the USB charging port, it does not fit snugly nor well enough and leads me to be concerned about rain entering over time, plus the concern of water entering and then freezing. The shackle insert also has a screw inside of it, of which there doesn't seem to be any waterproofing or rubber gasket/seat for it.

The fingerprint reading is really quick and works very well. Setting up fingerprints was quick and easy too, about 5 scans/readings of your finger and it was good to go. The app works well, but it requires certain permissions for it to run (Nearby Devices). The app looks slim and modern as well, no bulk or ads seen.

Overall, it's a nice lock, a good lock, but it's not a great lock, it could be improved in several areas.

Easy to program and use

It's well built. Easy to program and use it. I like the fact there are two masters and you can add more users than "closed friends" you will give them permission to open the lock.

The only thing I will not use is the app. Fingerprint and an App is a combination it doesn't appeal to me at this point.

I will recommend it.

Heavy Duty, Easy to Use Lock

Have had this on the shed where we keep the lawn mower and lawn cart for a week and so far it’s been great, easy to program multiple prints, fingerprint scanner works quickly, opens quickly, the rain we’ve had hasn’t effected it whatsoever. It’s a real, true heavy duty lock, would need some serious bolt cutters to break it. Highly recommend this, will be getting another one for a machine shed sliding door on our family farm.

Easy to use, heavy duty, fancy pad lock!

Love the feel and weight of this padlock. It's easy to use and works great. It also comes with a key if the lock were to ever lose charge or if it doesn't work but hasn't been the case. Operates smoothly, highly recommend.

Huge padlock

This padlock is much bigger than the usual padlock as you can see on my photo. I wear size large gloves.

I had a little trouble with the fingerprint. It took me a few tries before I got all the scans in in the short amount of time they allot for the task. You have to do it quickly. Other than that it was easy to set up. It looks solid and well made. It should last a long time

The Perfect Padlock for Tech Lovers!

I'm a big fan of the fusion between traditional hardware and modern technology, and this smart padlock is a prime example. I use it for a storage container I rent locally, and the convenience of not having to remember keys or a combination is a game-changer, thanks to the fingerprint unlock feature. While there is a backup key option, as shown in my photos, the fingerprint setup is incredibly straightforward and efficient.

A few specific details worth mentioning about this product:

It charges via a USB-C cable, which has become the industry standard. Now that iPhones have also adopted this port, you're likely to have plenty of these cables lying around, should you misplace the one provided.

The required app for configuring the padlock is "eSmartLock" by ELINK SMART. I've included a photo of the QR code for easy reference in my review.

Overall, I have nothing but praise for this padlock. If you're in the market for a new lock and appreciate cutting-edge technology, this is the ideal choice for you!
