It doesn't come with a housing
I was really disappointed when I opened this and there was no housing on the camera. Some of the photos in the product description show a housing and mention 1/4" mounting holes. The product video shows a housing. The manual that came with the product shows a housing. But no, it's a bare circuit board with a lens attached. There are no 1/4" mounting holes, so I have to hold it in my hand really carefully.
I can understand trying to cut costs, but don't remove the housing. A better approach would be to leave out the USB and HDMI cables and possibly the remote control. You can control the zoom and other settings from the settings in the camera app, so I'd rather not have the remote than not have a housing.
It appears to be a really good camera, if I could use it. The picture is clear, and the zoom is smooth. The auto focus seems to work well.
Without the housing it's not protected and there are no mounting holes. I would not recommend this camera.
