Promising High-Speed Camera With Useful Zoom

I was interested in this camera because the larger lens and 10x manual zoom could make it useful for capturing action from farther away. The ability to record at up to 200 fps is appealing, although that is at 720p. In testing so far, it has performed well, and the zoom gives more flexibility than a typical webcam. The main compromise is resolution. You need to frame the shot carefully on a tripod because there may not be enough detail for much cropping later. Lighting and image grain will likely determine how well it works in practice, but this looks promising for gym or other fast-action recording once it is properly set up.

Great USB camera with a good 10x zoom lens

The ELP High Speed Global Shutter USB 3.0 zoom camera comes with a 5-50mm zoom lens with manual focus. The camera works with both Linux and Windows 11 (I tested it on both). The camera connects to your computer through USB 3 type A connector. The cameras resolution is 1920x1200. The camera has the following frame rates; 200fps @ 1280x720, 120fps@1920x1200 (1080p). The lens is a 5-50mm var-focal zoom lens with manual focus (5 to 50mm is about 10x zoom). The lens is an f1.4. The video this camera produces is rock solid and looks great. The 10x zoom gives you a long reach with this lens. This is very nice, well made camera (this camera only, no mics).
