Bought It for the Mic, Accidentally Got a Great Webcam

Believe it or not, I originally bought the EMEET NOVA mainly for the microphone. I needed something on top of my desktop monitor for meetings and voice chat, and figured if the camera was decent too, great.

Turns out the camera might actually be the better part of the purchase.

The picture is genuinely sharp, autofocus is quick without constantly freaking out every time I move, and the 73° field of view is actually perfect for sitting at a desk. It gets me in the frame without showing everyone half my room and whatever questionable decisions are currently sitting on my desk.

The built in microphones have also been perfectly good for what I wanted. I can sit at a normal distance from my monitor and people hear me clearly without having a dedicated microphone sitting 6 inches from my face. Obviously, if you are recording a podcast, buy a real microphone. For meetings, gaming, and normal computer use, I have zero complaints.

Setup was basically the technological equivalent of doing nothing. Plug it in, select it, and it works. The 4K image looks surprisingly good for what this costs, and even in less than perfect lighting I still look like an actual human being instead of security camera footage from a gas station.

I bought it because I needed a microphone and figured I might as well get a webcam attached to it. Somehow I ended up with a genuinely good webcam that also happens to have microphones.

Very happy with it.

GET IT!! •⩊•

Bought this webcam to start streaming on Twitch & the quality & built in mic are actually sooo good! The autofocus is really nice as well. Setup was extremely easy, just had to plug it in ¨̮ 10/10 recommend! Especially with this price! (Picture attached is from me using the webcam from when i streamed ¨̮ )

Low quality.

Worked great for just over a year then died. Hard to find any quality electronics these days…

Not worth it for professional environments

2 stars for the value on sale @ 42.99, but it's a $29.99 webcam. Probably going to return it. The software is basically useless and only contains the same settings found in Windows system settings. The user manual tells you to install EMeetLink software, but it provides less customization than Windows itself. It's bloatware at that point. There is no way to change the resolution or refresh rate of this camera through the software, you have to use the built in Windows settings. The camera says it does 4k 30 fps, but it looks more like 20 fps. Video feed is jerky and not smooth movement. All resolutions appear grainy like old film.

Good quality

I was honestly surprised by how good this webcam is for the price. The video quality is very clear and sharp, much better than my laptop’s built-in camera. Setup was super easy — I just plugged it in and it worked immediately on Windows.

I’m using it for video calls and recording content, and the image looks great with decent lighting. Definitely a great budget webcam if you want something simple that still looks professional.

PERFECT WEBCAM!!

GREAT WEBCAM i use this for streaming games ! Bought it on a whim because my before and i were sharing a web cam (his is more expensive and a name brand) i got this one. It’s Half the price full retail. And i got it even less than than that due to Black Friday sales ! The camera quality is stunning and my bf actually replaced his Logitech webcam for this one (75$ Logitech from Best Buy)

Great 4K quality – feels like a big upgrade

I mainly use the EMEET Nova 4K for streaming and video chats with friends, and the picture quality is excellent. The video is super clear and sharp, and it really makes everything look more professional when I’m live. Even just chatting with friends, it feels like a big upgrade compared to my old webcam. I’m really happy with this camera and highly recommend it.

Easy to use, great picture, low price

I got this camera to stream my fish tank, and it is more than perfect. It's easy to use, the picture quality is fantastic, almost too good. You can see all the dust and tiny air bubbles that the fish stir up. Had zero issues using it. And for the price? You aren't going to find better.

Incredible Webcam — Better Than My Mac M4’s Built-In Camera!

This 4K webcam has completely elevated my video call experience — five stars without question! I use it primarily for Microsoft Teams meetings, and the difference in video quality compared to my Mac M4’s built-in camera is night and day. The image is crystal clear, colors are vibrant, and it handles lighting changes really well without getting grainy or washed out.

Setup was plug-and-play, and it integrated perfectly with Teams right away. I’ve even had coworkers comment on how sharp and professional my video looks. If you’re doing regular video calls or remote work, this webcam is absolutely worth the investment. It’s hands down the best upgrade I’ve made to my home office!

Easy to cinnect & Excellent Definition

Love this webcam, does a great job getting detailed visual definition connected to my xbox s series and mac pro laptop

No 4k video only photo

DOES NOT HAVE 4k@30fps only 4k for PHOTOS. I bought this thinking I could live stream in 4k/30 but the best options for video depending on whether you want resolution or fps are: 2160p/30fps and 1080p/60fps.

ALSO it's set to 1080p/30fps video by default so you must go to camera settings and change the output resolution to 1080p/60 or whatever you want.

I'm still giving 4 stars because it looks really good still and I'd probably rather have 60fps than 4k for a stream anyways IT DOES WHAT IT NEEDS TO

Works out of the box. Nice quality video.

I upgraded to this 4K webcam from a 1080p model, and the difference is noticeable. Others have commented on the improved quality during video calls. The setup was effortless. I plugged it into my MacBook and it worked right out of the box. The autofocus is more active than my old webcam, but it’s fast and not an issue as long as the subject does not move around too much. I captured a test screenshot from FaceTime. Even though the image is through a window, you can see that the quality is pretty sharp. I'm happy with this purchase and others would be as well.

Note that I put the camera on a tripod I had around. A tripod does not come with the camera.

Lens is pretty wide

Great cam especially for the price. Windows will let you adjust saturation brightness and some other video settings. Cable

It comes with is long enough for usual pc and monitor setups but as mine is atop a 55” I needed a USB extension. Recommended to a friend and they are happily using it as well.

Various issues

Easy to install, but the image quality suffers from being too light. Everything in the image appears washed out and there is no obvious way to adjust the lightness/darkness. If you visit their website you will find a link under support that lets you download software that can resolve this issue.

Next, see photo, the nameplate on mine was installed upside down, hardly an indication of quality control.

Finally, the microphone on this item is inadequate for the task. If the unit is placed at the top of a large monitor it barely picks up the audio. It functions best when the microphone is even with your lips, making mounting on a monitor almost impossible.

Look for something else.

I’ll be returning

I was excited to get this because the camera lense on my laptop has a scratch that distorts the image. When I plugged this in, I tried to adjust the settings but could not get the over exposed - white wash look to go away no matter what I tried. I even adjusted all of the lighting in my office.

No soft focus

I have been using webcams daily for the past 4 years in ZOOM or TEAMS. The Emeet camera does not have soft focus. FYI for an older person. Quality is good, wrinkles showing, not so much.

Works Really Well - Standard Windows Drivers - 4k

I have plenty of Logitech webcams for my home offices. I usually get their flagship model. I have been leery of generic cameras because they used to be difficult to get working and were prone to problems. This one just plugs and plays and works out of the box. It uses Windows drivers so it should be plenty compatible with almost every software there is. Like most webcams, the mic is adequate but not amazing. It picks up some room sounds which is not important to everyone. One of the main differences between this and Logitech is the support software. Logitech includes software that can zoom in and out and does some software color balancing which this one does not. This is perfectly fine hardware and does a great job for the price. I'll keep this as my personal webcam without hesitation.

Great webcam for the price

This stylish little webcam is actually a really good deal for the price. It is plug and play and just seems to work well right out of the box.

Good:

- The auto focus for up close is *really* good. I was able to hold up my hand an 1/2 inch or inch away from the lens and it was able to blur out the background completely and capture all the little wrinkles on my hand.

- Low light is pretty decent. My office is pretty dark at night by camera standards, and it was able to mostly capture movement with a decent amount of clarity.

- In good lighting, this does great. The frame rate increases when there is more light and the quality of picture is better too.

- It appears to be USB 3.0 which supports higher data transmission rates, that's good for a camera that is outputting in 4k.

- The privacy flap is great and should be included on all webcams. It has a little sticky part to mount it to the camera. While I'm not sure why it isn't mounted by default (maybe some people don't want that?) it was easy to install

- There are three ways to mount this, 1) sitting position with the folding mechanism fully collapsed, 2) using a standard camera screw mount, on the bottom of the folding mechanism, or 3) the top of a screen using the folding mechanism. All three seem to be secure and stable options.

- The camera sits on a ball joint so that it can swivel as needed, so you quickly mount this on your screen without getting it perfect and then adjust to direction to what you want. The up/down movement is a little limited, but side-to-side is full 360 degrees. It is easy to adjust, but seems snug enough that it wont slouch once adjusted.

Neutral:

- Lowlight causes framerate to drop a small amount, for a budget friendly camera though, I think this is expected.

- The software they want you to download seems to be bloatware. A lot of times companies seem to make software to just get at settings in a little friendlier way. I didn't find any special settings in the software that I couldn't find natively within windows camera settings. However, if you are brand new to owning a webcam, you might find the software helpful.

- The manual doesn't provide a lot of information, but thankfully, the product doesn't need a lot of explanation. The camera is mostly just plug and play to begin with.

- Don't expect to get that depth of field look of a video streamer, unless extremely close range (1-2 inches away). This means that most items in your environment will be in focus. More "professional" video setups tend to have a crisp subject (you) and a soft/blurry background.

Not great:

- The audio is typical webcam audio. It seems to do a decent enough job with audio by webcam standards, but if you have a separate audio source (like I did in the video) use it!

Overall this is a great webcam in the sea of webcams. The price is great especially for the quality. This is a great option for standard video uses, like online meetings and demonstration videos. However, in my opinion if you wanted a more "professional" streamer look to your video, you might need to get something with an optical lens to get that depth of field look, as this will make most things in your environment in-focus. To reiterate, the camera does what it does very well though, but just something to keep in mind depending on your needs.

Good choice, looks better than I expected

I didn't think it would look as good but it does. It looks a little grainy but it's slightly perceptible and it really doesn't not matter much. I only noticed this because i have another 4K camera which is a little more expensive which shows a bit of a difference on this one.

Even at 30 frames per second at some moments it felt as if had a higher rate.

By itself, this is a very good camera if you want to jump to 4K .

I would be suing it instead of my native Laptop camera, which is usually one of the Laptop components with less quality overall. great upgrade.

I also like that you can mount it on tripods. Although mine did not included it, I have several i used with old HD cameras that nowadays you can;t use with phones and it would work nice there.
