This book teachers hand placement, note recognition and meaning as well as songs. I haven't played a piano or keyboard in over 15 years and when I did the most I could play was mary had a little lamb. This book maked teacher my child a breeze and she smiles and is elated everytime she hears herself playing a note and it sounds like real music.

Excellent Beginner Book
I’m teaching my daughter how to play piano. This is the book I’m starting her out with. This is her first day of lessons with the book. As you can hear from her playing she’s doing amazing!!! Even if you yourself don’t know how to play this book will teach you some beginner basics.

Hey, I’m 39 years old, and I decided to suddenly teach myself how to play the piano. I wanted to start with the easiest and most basic book, even if it meant a book for a 4 year old! I efficiently got through 1/2 the book in about an hour. I started playing w/ Hot Crossed Buns and ended by learning how to play “Itsy Bitsy Spider.” This book is great for any age and anyone who is staring their first piano lesson. Sometimes we need a book that won’t be intimidating to learn a new hobby or skill. This is it! It clearly explained notes and placement for someone who has no musical background at all.
