Sounds Tactile/Creamy/Thocky together on different keys (Harmonized)
A bit inconsistent in noise, though I'm super happy! It is Hall effect so won't be compatible with hot swapping with mechanical switches. Just have to get Hall effect switches.
It's a bit tactile and creamy and thocky all together - a bit inconsistent in noise. I got this for $43 with tax. Wish it was $33. It can't be adjusted in height and has a sturdy build I'd say, but overall feels lightweight.
I overall bought this for the board and switches with the intention of customizing the keycaps. I'll probably keep this board for a while, then upgrade to a customized board one day. I do wish it was more thocky, but that may just be me.

Best Budget HE board on the market.
Bought this for my son as a birthday gift. So far it has been a solid board, the switches feel amazing, and the 65% layout is the perfect size for the space it is being used in. The software could be better, but you really don't need it after you set everything up. Compared to other higher priced HE (Hall Effect) boards on the market, this gets the job done and carries alot of the features the higher priced options carry. I plan on surprising my son with a new set of keycaps as the board is compatible with MX format mounting, so you can customize this board to fit the style/look that you want.

Really Nice Budget HE Keyboard
Wow. Especially for this price point, this hall effect 65% keyboard is outstanding, and this is coming from a girl with over 100 keyboards.
I was truly impressed with how it sounds, considering many budget hall effect keyboards sound atrocious, this one sounds very pleasant! I actually quite like it and the typing experience is very comfortable.
The software is easy to download and work with. You can adjust the actuation point of the switches to your preferences. In this video, I have it set to 2.30mm.
It can be faster for gaming or heavier for typists.

Best entry level magnetic hall effect keyboard.
If you've never tried a magnetic hall effect keyboard before and you just want to try the feel of a magnetic hall effect keyboard then this might be the best entry level magnetic hall effect keyboard. It cannot with the major brands like Iqunix, Gravastar, etc... But for $50, it's a steal (got mine at $45).

Crazy Value HE Keyboard That Punches Above Its Price
This was my first budget Hall Effect mechanical keyboard and it genuinely exceeded my expectations for the price.
The magnetic switches feel fast and smooth, and the adjustable actuation made both gaming and everyday typing feel more responsive almost immediately.
The wired USB connection stays stable with no lag or dropouts, and the braided cable feels durable and high quality right out of the box.
The sound is satisfying without being overly loud, and the RGB is bright but easy to turn off if you prefer a cleaner setup.
While the software takes a bit of patience to dial everything in, once it is set the keyboard performs extremely well.
For anyone curious about Hall Effect keyboards or looking for a budget friendly upgrade, this is an easy recommendation.

Great feel and sound, but weak lighting
The EPOMAKER HE68 Lite is a solid keyboard for the price. The switches feel smooth and responsive, and the typing experience is really satisfying. The keys sound great crisp and clean without being too loud, which makes typing feel super nice. The software is also simple to use and easy to navigate. My only issue is the lighting, even at max brightness in a fairly dark room, the keys are barely visible, and the white LEDs on the top right don’t look like a true white. Overall though, it’s a nice, well-built board with great sound and performance for the money.

HORRIBLE KEYBOARD
this keyboard sucks. literally will be in the middle of playing a game, and all of a sudden it’ll start randomly opening every single application that exists on your computer. it has been steadily causing crashes on my pc because of that issue. i’ve tried updating the drivers troubleshooting nothing has worked and this has been going on since i bought this keyboard months ago. i am telling you STEER CLEAR FROM THIS KEYBOARD

Can you beat it for the price? Driver support is flawless so far. Better than some bigger names I’ve experienced. It’s a back up. Use it as a trial and error for learning HE switches and functionality before you go spend $xxx.xx!

USB-C Port Loosens Over Time
The EpoMaker HE68 Lite started out as one of my favorite budget keyboards. It's a very clean and modern looking board with bright lighting, backlit keycaps, and plenty of lighting patterns to choose from. The switches feel great to type on. They're light, smooth, and responsive, and the stabilizers are better than I expected at this price. I liked that I could adjust the actuation point to make the keys respond exactly the way I wanted, whether for light taps or deeper presses. The sound was also impressive for a plastic case: clean and solid without that hollow echo you usually get on cheaper boards. For about a month and a half, I was really happy with it. Even though compact layouts usually aren’t my thing, I kept reaching for this one and thought it was easily a five-star keyboard.
It’s sold as a “gaming keyboard,” and the adjustable actuation does make it fast and responsive. But let’s be real, no keyboard is gonna turn you into an e-athlete if you’re not already good at the game. At best, it keeps up with you. For me, it was more about the typing feel. I loved it.
Unfortunately, after about six weeks the USB-C port went bad. It wasn’t loose at first, but over time it started cutting out. Now the slightest bump or shift on my desk makes it disconnect, no matter which cable I try. The port itself is loose, and once that happens, the keyboard’s basically useless. Doesn’t matter how nice the switches feel if the thing won’t stay connected.
I reached out to EpoMaker about it since I’d just finished working with them on a different keyboard issue they did fix, and I figured they’d help again. At first they offered to send me a cable, which didn’t make sense because the port was clearly the problem. I even sent them pictures. Their response was that they’d “take it under review,” and then they just closed the ticket. No replacement, no repair, nothing. So in the end, they left me hanging.
If it weren’t for the USB-C failure, this would’ve stayed a five-star keyboard in my book. The typing experience is excellent for the price, the sound is pleasant, and the RGB looks better than a lot of boards in this range. But none of that matters if the port gives out and you can’t depend on it. Add in the way customer service handled it, and what started as a great experience ended up being a one-star headache.

Rapid Trigger Doesn't Work, Bad RGB Lighting.
Rapid trigger and custom actuation points do not work on this keyboard, I downloaded the software and set my actuation point to the lowest setting just to test (also tested other values), as well as turning on rapid trigger. Testing both functions in the software was showing me that the key was only being pressed at the default actuation point, not at what I set it at. Rapid trigger was not functioning as well; the key had to return all the way to be activated again.
The keyboard does sound good and feel good though, and I wanted to like it, but what's the point of buying a Hall effect keyboard if the main functions do not work?
The RGB Also doesn't shine through the keycaps very well either. At max brightness in a dark room, you can barely see the letters, and I really mean barely.

Compact, Portable And Feature-Packed Mechanical Keyboard with Magnetic Hall Effect Switches.
I’ve reviewed quite a few EPOMAKER keyboards, and I’ve come to appreciate that it's a budget-friendly mechanical keyboard brand. I don’t mean “cheap” in quality—they consistently offer well-built products with good features at affordable prices. The HE68 Lite is no exception.
The keyboard came in EPOMAKER’s familiar packaging—clean, minimal, and well-designed. Inside the box, you’ll find:
• The keyboard
• A keycap and switch puller
• A braided USB-C cable
• A few spare switches
• A user manual
• And a unique strap kit, which is specific to this model
The HE68 Lite is clearly designed with portability in mind, especially for gaming on the go. The included carry strap can be attached to the left side of the keyboard.
However, it lacks tilt stands or adjustable feet, which makes typing a bit less ergonomic out of the box. I found myself propping it up on the edge of my laptop for a more comfortable angle. It weighs just over 1lb, which makes it very lightweight, but despite that, the build feels solid and sturdy. It’s also compact, which is great for travel or tight desk setups.
It’s important to note that the HE68 Lite is not wireless—it needs to be plugged in to function. While not a deal-breaker, it does feel a bit counterintuitive for a keyboard marketed as portable.
The USB-C port is located in the top-left corner, which is a convenient spot. However, the port is set deeply into the case, and I had trouble using a right-angled USB-C cable—it just wouldn’t fit. You’ll need to use the included cable or a straight-connector USB-C.
What sets this keyboard apart out of the one I review before is its use of Hall Effect switches—magnetic switches. This was my first time trying them, and they’re quite interesting. On paper, they’re superior to traditional mechanical switches as they allow for adjustable actuation points and more customization.
To unlock this customization, you’ll need to download EPOMAKER’s software. While it’s functional, it’s not the most polished software out there. The UI is clean, but it defaults to Chinese, so you’ll need to change the language manually by clicking the language menu in the top-left corner. Even after switching to English, some labels still remain in Chinese, but all the core features are translated properly and work as intended.
The keyboard features south-facing RGB LEDs, and while the keycaps are not transparent, the shine-through legends allow some backlighting to come through—especially on the white model with white keycaps the light bleed nicely between the keycaps.
That said, I found the LED brightness a bit underwhelming. Even at full brightness, it felt slightly dim, though it’s perfectly fine for nighttime use. If you really want to enhance the lighting, consider swapping in pudding keycaps.
The included keycaps are nicely made, with a very lightly textured surface—not too smooth, and they feel satisfying to the touch.
This keyboard offers a lot of features and functions, many of which I personally don’t use, but they’re great to have for power users. The magnetic switches, while subtle at first, provide a slightly smoother typing experience. Because there’s less resistance, it’s easy to bottom out the keys, resulting in a satisfying, clacky sound.
At the time of writing, it’s priced at $50, which is a great value for what you’re getting. While I do wish it had tilt feet, this is still a well-made, feature-rich mechanical keyboard—especially for those curious about trying out Hall Effect switches without breaking the bank.

Nice basic HE keyboard...couldn't get software to work
This Epomaker HE68 Lite keyboard is a great entry to HE keyboards. The board is basic white with white shine through keycaps, PC plate, lots of foam, and a PCB style tray mount. The mounting style is pretty unique, as I've never seen the keyboard mounted by the PCB before. Makes sense though, as the switches need to be firmly in place. There will never be a flex gasket mount HE keyboard. There are lots of layers of foam for sound deadening, an the keyboard does have a good sound and feel. The switches are well lubed and sound good. The keycaps are pretty thick, ~1.5mm...which is surprising for shine through keycaps. The stabilizers are prefectly tuned and don't rattle at all. It seems like there is no need to tune budget keyboards any more these days. The keyboard is all plastic construction, and it extremely light because there is no battery for any type of wireless connectivity.
The biggest issue was that I couldn't get the software to work. It started up in Chinese with the spinning circle and then disappeared. It was still running the background, but it couldn't be used. That kind of defeats the purpose of the keyboard as you can't set actuation levels. It is fast to type on since it's so smooth. Overall, great keyboard, terrible software.

I’m new to PC gaming, but I like the keyboard.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:
I’ve bought a total of three gaming keyboards over some time, but this is the one! The keys when pressing them feel smooth and the RGB is a lot better than the other keyboards that I’ve purchased in the past. It’s easy to remove or replace the keys if needed and comes with the tools to do so. It did take a little bit to get the Bluetooth connected or to know that the keyboard was on because there’s no dedicated button/s to do so. You have to use the Fn and space buttons to connect to Bluetooth. Other than that, it’s a great product.

Very good for this price!
Packaging: 10/10
- Box was sturdy and kept the keyboard safe
Product: 9/10
- Very light and made up of relatively cheap feeling plastic, but for this price points it's what's expected and definitely isn't a downside
- Keys feel sturdy and go straight up and down without much tilt or angle if you put pressure on it, indicating strong keys that should hold up for a while
- Lighting effects are very smooth! surprisingly soft lighting as well
- As it's a 65% keyboard, it's lacking many keys that I personally prefer having, so it was a little weird getting used to it (personally)
- Sounds very satisfying, a little on the plastic side but once you're using it you tune it out and enjoy the sounds. Very "Clocky" to me
- Very good for gaming, feels responsive and the keys don't travel far enough to impede gameplay
- The videos included in the product listing are accurate to what you will receive! Expect a little more bass in the keys and how they sound
