Cute but wireless mode started glitching after a year

I love the look and feel of this keyboard. The blue and white colors are beautiful, and it's fun to type on. I bought it in August 2025 and used it wirelessly for about a year with no trouble.

About a month ago, the keys started misbehaving. Sometimes nothing would type at all, and other times it repeated letters super fast. Typing "home" came out as "hhhommmmmmmm ommm mmeee." I cleaned it with compressed air and fully charged it, and neither helped.

The fix was plugging it in with the USB-C cable and switching to wired mode. It types perfectly that way, so the keys themselves seem fine and the problem is in the wireless connection. That's disappointing on a keyboard sold as a wireless model, and a year of use feels too soon for it to start acting up.

Great keyboard if you plan to keep it plugged in. I'd be cautious if you rely on wireless.

10/10

This has become the FAVORITE of all my rotated keyboards. The thock is unmatched for me. It’s comfortable, the keys are wide and spaced nicely, the RGB is very crisp and bright. I love a good pastel RGB. There is something about this board that reminds me of typing in the library as a kid on the old school keyboards. It scratches an itch in my brain I didn’t know I had. A MUST for any WFH girlie.

Great keyboard

I love this mechanical keyboard. The keystrokes are super smooth and easy, the light‑up feature looks great, and the battery lasts a long time between charges. It’s rechargeable, adorable, and works perfectly for everyday use. Highly recommend.

Love the sound!

Honestly obsessed! I needed a computer with a full number pad but wanted something that sounded fun and could be customized.

I love the pastel blue and the switch noise. The size is perfect. I changed the key caps to fun Y2K keys that match the blue and white perfectly.

The size in comfortable. I can't say anything about the standard key caps because I removed them immediately. Pretty heavy and doesnt feel cheap. I used it for an 8 hour shift with the lights on and it did not need charged. Very easy to customize.

Comfortable and Great Quality

The EpoMaker TH99 has an excellent thocky sound that feels satisfying without being too loud. It’s perfect for shared spaces since it won’t annoy people around you. Switching between USB, 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth is seamless, and the connection is always stable. The RGB colors look great, and the keycaps are easy to pull off when needed. Even when the lights are off this keyboard has such a cute esthetic.

I switched from a membrane keyboard that hurt my wrists and contributed to carpal tunnel. This keyboard is much more comfortable, and I’ve had no pain while using it. Overall, it’s reliable, ergonomic, and enjoyable to type on.

Love! 10/10

For reference: this is my first ever intro into the “keyboard world”. I really wanted a cute new keyboard I could customize with my own keys so I ended up changing them out. It took no time at all! The keyboard is pretty heavy and has a lot of neat features. The sound is nice and thocky, creamy, and smooth. The key change made the tone deeper. I should’ve videoed with the original keys but I was too eager to start switching them. The backlight colors are so fun and also customizable. You can’t do one solid color but different versions of the rainbow. I chose the one that lights up when you hit the specific key and I love it! My husband even loves it and will likely purchase one next. I caught him in my office playing with my keyboard! lol 10/10 would recommend. Especially for newbies.

The sound of the keys is delightful!

I love it so much! I bought this because I saw someone using it on YouTube and I loved the sound of the keys. It is heavy. And there isn't a volume control. But I just created a new shortcut.

Looks & sounds great for the price

I ordered this keyboard for work because it was on sale for $58- at the time of this review, the price hasn't changed. The keys are "thocky" as one would want and expect. I use a NuPhy Halo 96 v1 for my personal setup and I'd argue that the Epomaker sounds better. It's unfortunate that dongle for wireless connectivity isn't secured to the keyboard by a magnet. The whole package looks and feels well made, even though it's made entirely of plastic. I was a bit apprehensive about buying another Epomaker product because I previously returned the Epomaker TH96 due to sudden input issues after about a week of use- I really hope this one lasts. Attached is a photo of the Epomaker TH99 (below) with a NuPhy Halo 96 v1 (top) for comparison.

Great keyboard/thunky sound/fits easily in backpack

This is my go-to keyboard. It's the perfect size to put in my backpack and use anywhere. While it's a little heavy, it's a burden I'm willing to bear because of the feel, sound, and quality of connection. It looks great and cost less than another keyboard I purchased that I don't like as much. It's traveled with me, in my backpack, via air and rail. It maintains its charge forever (it seems) and connects to my laptop immediately. It's solid and I expect it will be with me a long time. I've included a pic with keycaps replaced. The original looks exactly like the product photos in the product description.

A quality mechanical keyboard at a reasonable price.

Keyboard Review: Epomaker TH99

Given all the snack reviews I do online, you can imagine my old keyboard was, well, less than pristine. So I tried to clean it thoroughly, so thoroughly that some of the keys stopped working and the "k" wouldn't stop working.

I love the feel of mechanical keyboards and need the tactile response to know if I've fully depressed the key. So after some research - And I had no idea there is an entire subculture around keyboards, mine being a cherry profile, creamy switch and a 75% layout - I bought an Epomaker TH99. Can be bluetooth connected or wired or 2.4Ghz. I'm really liking it so far. Quieter then my previous mechanical keyboard, a bit smaller at 75% instead of 100% style, and a bit higher so I've ordered a wrist cushion. I did have to use Sharpkeys to switch the Del and PageDown keys to where I am used to them. Otherwise, a really good value for the money.

Perfect budget keyboard, get it!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:

I picked this keyboard and made a fully customized board, love the way it turned out. This is fairly easy to open and take apart which made painting it very easy. The switches paired with these MOA profile keycaps that I got make for a superrr nice thocky but creamy sound. Such a fantastic budget keyboard.

Creamy and quiet sounding keyboard

I needed a new keyboard for work that had a wireless option as the dock for our laptops don't have enough ports to plug into. This keyboard is so creamy and comfortable to use. I wanted to customize my keyboard so I ordered character keycaps for it and it just looks perfect. I live using this every day and now my husband ones to order one for himself.

Yummmmm

CREAMY AF!! Wish there was dif light settings besides rainbow but honestly for the price you can’t beat it. Can’t wait to change out the keycaps and keep the perfect creaminess.

Solid Keyboard

This keyboard is amazing! It’s high quality. The base is heavy but the keys are light. I had the keycaps and switches replaced by a friend so that they’re more “clacky” but the keyboard itself is really good quality and would recommend. Good buy for the price.

I’ve been looking at mechanical keyboards for a while (watching/reading reviews) and wanted something simple but yet had the creamy sound. This is well worth the money. One of the best we've ever had - creamy, heavy, durable

I got this mainly for my 11 year old son to use - he is an avid gamer and loves a nice keyboard. This is his daily use keyboard (and he has like 5 including a couple redragon keyboards). The creamy clicks are awesome. The key presses are sensitive and my son is able to clip his fellow sweats in Fortnite with ease. The size is perfect. It's not a full size, but not a super small one. This has arrow keys and number keys which is a huge win. I'm surprised how many smaller keyboards don't have arrow keys these days?! This has RGB backlighting that can be changed too.

There is a switch on the back to change connection modes. We have only used it wired, as my son insists there will be too much lag if it's wireless. I'm pretty sure any latency on wireless is so minimal, he wouldn't notice unless he was competing in esports (which he doesn't). But there is no lag at all using this wired as we have.

This keyboard is heavy! The heaviest one we've ever had, and we've had a lot of keyboards lol. It doesn't slide around at all while using it. Also, you can change the keycaps easily and it's hot swappable.

My son says his favorite part are the creamy clicks and the blue color of the keyboard 😀! I love the weight of this keyboard and the feel of the key presses.

This is a nice keyboard for a gamer or non-gamer. It's great for an older kid or a teenager who wants a mechanical that isn't astronomically expensive.

Also, I have included a few pics - my son swapped out the keycaps on most of the keyboard lol. The keys that come on here are really nice- they look and feel great, he just likes to tinker with things like this 😂.

Great Keyboard

I bought this for work and to use as a gaming keyboard. I did change the key caps, but not the switches. I love the feel and sound. Very thocky! Great connectivity with the dongle.

Premium Keyboard That’s Perfect For Work Or Gaming

From the moment I unboxed this keyboard, I could tell this was a good one. The packaging kept everything well-protected, and my first impression was how good it felt in hand. The black and white color scheme looks sleek, and the weight of the keyboard gives it a premium feel.

Typing on this keyboard is so satisfying. The keyboard has that creamy, soft typing experience you expect. The keystrokes are smooth and sound amazing.. I’m adding a video so you can hear the satisfying "click click" for yourself.

Switching between 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired mode is quick and easy. There’s a simple switch on the back, and once it’s set, the keyboard connects almost instantly. I haven’t had any connection drops, whether using it via Bluetooth or the included dongle. The battery life has been great, and I appreciate that I can plug it in and keep using it while it charges.

Customization is another strong point. The RGB lighting, macros, and key remapping are all controlled via the intuitive software. There are tons of lighting effects to cycle through, making it easy to find the perfect setup that works just right for the space.

This keyboard is versatile and well-built, and its a good choice for either gaming or work. My teen son was so impressed that he claimed it for his gaming setup, and even his friends asked about it. Coming from a group of teens, that’s high praise! Whether you're looking for a responsive gaming keyboard or a sleek, high-performance option for productivity, this one delivers. Highly recommend!

Super Smooth Typing, Pleasant Sound

This EPOMAKER TH99 mechanical keyboard is exceptional quality. It features a sturdy case, and an ergonomic design that's especially comfortable to type on. While the appearance is somewhat basic, I do like how the navigation keys have an inverted color scheme. Typing on this keyboard feels incredibly smooth and effortless. Keystrokes are quick and precise, and the sound produced is quite pleasant. The RGB lighting is really cool, offering a variety of effects to choose from; however, it doesn't illuminate the keycaps. This could be a dealbreaker for some, but I don't mind since I rarely work in the dark. Thanks to the included USB dongle, connecting to my Windows 11 PC was extremely easy, and I didn't encounter any latency issues. Lastly, I like how the switches for changing connection method and platform are conveniently located at the front. Five stars all the way!

Super nice keyboard , long battery life!

I like this keyboard a lot. I didn't expect to like it this much either since I've never had a mechanical "gaming" keyboard. But this thing is nice! The keys feel very satisfying, and have a nice loud "click" sound when you hit the keys, if thats your thing. If not, thats ok too! Because I wasn't super huge on the noise, so I bought a 200 pack of O-rings for the keys, and I double O-ringed each key, and now it still has that satisfying sound, but much quieter! It also comes with a tool for taking off the keys, so it makes it super easy.

There are a bunch of fun lighting modes to play with too. The box, packaging and everything felt very high quality, and really felt like a great unboxing experience too.

Battery life is great, I didn't have to charge it right out of the box for over a week of 4+ hours of usage every day!

The only con that I can think of: The battery INDICATOR (when you press Fn+Enter it shows you the battery level from the Q key to the P key being the fullest) isn't that accurate once you start getting fairly low on battery. Sometimes it would only display one red key, sometimes it would show two or three green keys. Really not a big deal at all, just charge it once it starts to get somewhat low.

I've still only ever had to charge it once, and its been several weeks of very consist ant daily usage.

Overall 5/5 stars, would certainly recommend!

Great pre-built keeb for the price with one AMAZING feature

I'm typing my review on this keyboard as we speak. For some background on me, I would consider myself a casual keyboard enthusiast, meaning that I'm a big fan of mechanical keyboards, own a handful of them, do light mods on them, but am not so deep into the hobby that I feel like building my own boards from scratch. That's where pre-builts comes into play.

Epomaker as a company is either great or terrible, depending on who you talk to (those deep in the hobby mostly hate them), but I own one other Epomaker keyboard (the Galaxy70), and to this point, I've only had good experiences. In fact, the Galaxy70 is one of my favorite keyboards to date. If you want to know true thock, that's a great board to start with.

As for this keyboard, I would say that out of the box, it's pretty dang good for someone looking for something they can just plug in and use, and for someone who wants a creamier, lighter sounding board. Will it sound as good as an all-aluminum case? No. But does it sound pretty good for a plastic case? It sure does! In my video, I swapped out the ASDF keys for MMD Vivian switches and you can hear that there is a difference in the thockiness of the board. Not sure what switches come stock on this, but they have what feels like a slightly heavier key press than I'm used to, so those who type a lot or prefer lighter switches may want to swap these out. One the plus side, having heavier switches means that when you rest your fingers on the keys, you don't accidentally start typing random letters, which is my biggest pet peeve on some of my boards with lighter switches.

This connects immediately to Bluetooth (you can connect up to 3 devices) and the instructions are well-written and easy to understand. No VIA or QMK support, but that's to be expected on a budget board.

RGB is pretty, and although I love all the pretty, sparkly lights, I generally opt for a single light color because most of my keycaps aren't shinethrough, so although you can certainly see the RGB without shinethrough keycaps, I find the constantly moving lights to be distracting enough that i don't use them. I will say that the number of preset backlight solid colors isn't the best that I've seen. It lacks a pure white and a true yellow (I think their version is yellow leans very green, so it looks more lime green than anything) or orange, which I tend to choose. There is, however, a pastel blue that I think looks particularly good with the light blue case that I went with.

The flippy feet on the back offer 2 levels of height adjustment so that you can find what feels most comfortable for you. Not a lot going on on the back of the keyboard beyond a silver brand badge.

Now onto the BEST part of this keyboard. It has a 10-key! But that's not the most exciting part about it. It has a FULL SIZED ZERO KEY! Those of us who really like to have a keyboard with a numpad can probably attest to the fact that many keyboard makers these days are making them with shortened 0 keys in order to keep the keyboard footprint smaller. Not this board! Having the full-sized 0 key means that anyone who needs to do a lot of numerical data entry can still fly through their tasks without needing to purchase a separate 10-key to clutter up their desk.

While this likely won't be my daily driver board, I can see rotating this one into the mix whenever I need to type a lot of numbers, and don't feel like pulling out my standalone numpad. There's a good chance I'll be swapping the remainder of the switches with MMD Vivians for a slightly deeper sound that hopefully won't drive my coworkers so crazy, and changing out the keycaps on this to something more my style, but all in all, this board is a solid choice for anyone just starting in the hobby or someone who just wants an all-around nice-feeling, nice-sounding board with a full-sized number pad without really having to do anything else to it, unless they want to.

Edit: Now that I've been typing on this for several minutes, I'm finding that the sound and feel of the keys is growing on me, and I may not end up changing out the switches after all. Keycaps still need to go though!
