Pro style gaming ear buds

Lately, it seems the trend in going retro from bringing back vinyl records to going back to wired headphones. Having grown up with this “retro” tech, not sure how I feel about it but thought I’d take a trip down memory lane and take listen to the old school tech.

Out of the box, I feel the quality is above average, the fit is pretty good as it does come with a variety of ear tips to ensure the sound doesn’t escape. The case it comes with also ensures you keep your investment save while traveling. These wired headphones are modular and connect over USB-C but comes with an adapter to USB-A giving you maximum compatibility.

Not sure how durable these headphones are over time but they have a thick cable with the ear buds made of lightweight but strong plastic. The wired headphones cable though felt a bit sticky which was a bit of a turn off.

Not sure if I would consider these good value for the money but they do work as described.

I don't like the sound profile and there's no app on the Play Store to change it

This is my third IEM set by this company, and the most expensive one I've tried yet. I'm okay with it overall, but I have some notes.

There's something to be said about the incredibly cool look — the holographic sides and see-through housing let you peek at the tech inside. They look great, and it's probably their strongest point.

The fit is the best of any of their headphones I've tried. I have small ears, and these actually fit in my ears for once. They sit flush as they should and do not get pushed out. The cables don't chafe the tops of my ears, nor do they feel heavy. It's a very comfortable fit.

More importantly, I think most people would like the sound they put out; it seems to favor bass, which sounds good with hip hop and EDM. I personally prefer more emphasized midtones for pop and rock, so I'm disappointed that I can't change it. It just sounds less clear to me this way and sort of wrong. EPZ have a sketchy APK on their website they claim has presets and tuning, but there's no app on the Play Store. I'll probably try it, though I'm not counting on making it work.

Lastly, I'm disappointed with the value proposition. These cost about $80 and you don't get any extras like a 3.5mm cable or a mic. Their $55 model has all those bundled together. I think at minimum they should have given both options instead of forcing you to choose between the 3.5mm jack and USB-C.

Overall, I like these, but I wouldn't recommend them over the EPZ G20, which have better sound, ENC, and value. It seems the "gaming" tag here has skewed the price.

Look great, sound great!

I absolutely love these earbuds. The pink and blue color combination is really cute and stands out from the usual black earbuds. The silver cable looks nice, feels lightweight, and doesn't get tangled, which is a huge plus.

The sound quality is very good, and the noise canceling works surprisingly well. They are comfortable to wear, and the included ear tips make it easy to get a good fit.

I also liked the packaging. They come in a nice box that makes the product feel more premium and would be great for gifting. In addition, it comes with a white box to store the earbuds. It is hard, so earbuds will not get squished in your purse.

Overall, these earbuds look great, sound great, and are a pleasure to use. Definitely one of my favorite pairs of wired earbuds.

Great Sound With EQ, Comfortable Fit, and Strong Value

Out of the box, the EPZ G30s sounded a little thin to me — the “pure” and “flat” EQ profiles are very light on bass, so the low end feels almost nonexistent at first. Once I jumped into the web‑based EQ and added some low‑end and a touch of sparkle up top, the sound quality improved dramatically. With the right tuning, these actually sound really nice for music and hold their own surprisingly well.

For gaming, they work well too. The USB‑C connection is extremely convenient for switching between my phone and desktop, and the in‑line volume and play/pause controls are a welcome addition. The in‑line mic seems to do its job — people on the other end haven’t had any complaints.

Fit and comfort are excellent. They match the general shape and feel of other EPZ IEMs I own, so they were an easy fit for me right away. The included eartips seal well, and the overall style and build feel solid. The cable is nice, the case is good quality, and the full kit feels like strong value for the price.

I do have two complaints. First, the web EQ requires creating an account. It works well and lets you experiment freely before saving settings to the IEMs, but I’d much rather have a simple app that doesn’t require signing up for anything. Second, the listing advertises “ENC Noise Cancelling,” yet the web app clearly shows that feature as “not supported” for the G30. Maybe the boom‑mic version enables it, but the listing doesn’t say that, so it feels misleading. My only thought is that it could be that ENC (without AI) is /always on and available/, but I cannot find anything that clearly says that, so I am suspecting it is not enabled since I don't see any options to turn it on / off or otherwise change settings.

Compared to my EPZ P50s, the G30s hold up surprisingly well. The P50s still sound better overall — especially on higher‑end gear — but the G30s deliver a very comparable experience for a much lower price, especially once EQ’d.

All in all, these are very nice IEMs with great versatility, strong sound (after tuning), and a lot of value packed into the kit. I’m glad to have them in my rotation. Was originally thinking 4 stars, but I think the value proposition bumps it up a little higher despite the minor-ish complaints.

Impressive!

I’m a big fan of IEMs over regular gaming headsets as they are more comfortable and debatably sound better. These are actually the best pair of IEMs that I’ve had and haven’t had the need to use my sound card. They connect super easy to both my computer and phone. They sound crisp and clear and the mic is a nice added touch for using on my phone. I have AirPod Pros but these are a nice alternative. The carrying case is nice especially when throwing in my pocket. The only thing I don’t really like is the twisted wires, as it’s a little cumbersome for wires nowadays. I wish they would have put some sort of sleeve over it to make it more sleek. Other than that, these sound great and are worth it.

Great fit, good sound, sturdy cables

I normally use Bluetooth only headphones but when I saw these they reminded me of some old Shure wired headphone I have and had to try them out. These are resin covered headphones and they are different colors so it’s easy to see which is for the right and left. These cable needs to be attached to the headphone which is a bit tight. The cable has two prongs and lol like they could be easy to bend but I was able to insert them without too much issue, just go slow. The cable itself is nice and long. They are a little more bulky than I would like but I have had other headphone like my Shure where the cables are too thin and break easily. These look like they are very sturdy and will last. They come with a carrying case and different sized tips.

The sound quality is good. Compared to my Cleer Bluetooth headphones, these EPZ are much clearer and have a better range. I’m not an audiophile but if I were to be critical, the lows and mids were really good and present, while the highs may have been a little less so.

I really like the fit of these to my ears, a the integrated controls were nice as well. I have the USB-C connector which goes right to my laptop and works great. They are comfortable and like I said, they soubd good. Definitely a good buy.

Amazing sound

I normally play with wireless earbuds, but sometimes you need something that doesn't need to be recharged while you're charging your earbuds, so I now have these.

And wow. I wasn't expecting the sound to be so good.

But first - when I opened the box, I saw the buds, and I have to say they are very pretty. I like the iridescent pink and blue. They aren't attached to the wire. Digging further into the box, the wire (which is also pretty - it's iridescent white and is braided) and a case. Actually, I think the wire was in the case when I opened the box. Also in the case are 3 sets of silicon ear tips (S, M, L) and a USB-C to USB-A converter plug.

There is also an envelope with the instructions inside, but, while there was plenty of room to make a larger instruction pamphlet, they chose to make it small and use a teensy tiny font. Because apparently they don't realize that if you're old enough to need instructions for wired earphones, YOU ARE TOO OLD TO SEE SOMETHING THAT TINY.

Just sayin'.

Anyway, I put everything together and plugged the cable into my phone to listen to some music. And the music was *very* clear. There are buttons on the cord where you can change the volume or play/pause, though it took some practice to get my fingers in the right place for this. If you have big fingers, it might be difficult.

I'm not a gamer, but I did want to check the latency on these, so I watched a movie. If you're looking for a slight delay between mouths moving and hearing the voices, you can see it, but you (or at least *I*) have to be really focusing on the delay. I don't know if the lag is long enough to make gameplay complicated, but it seems fine to me.

Sound quality is good. These aren't like some of my nice wireless buds where I can play with the equalizer on the app, so what you get from the phone is what you get with these buds. Bass was good without being overpowering, and treble was good without being tinny. The sound is very clear - I didn't hear ANY static. (I think the description said something about "top audio fidelity", and I can agree with that.)

I'm not sure about the noise canceling. Yes, environmental noise goes way down when I put these in my ears, but it seems to do this even when the cable is unplugged.

So I went to the app store and looked up epz app. Nothing. So I checked the instructions, and from what I can see (which is hard because the font is so tiny!) they don't mention an app. I am old and only want to download apps from the app store.

I guess that means I don't get the presets. Darn.

Also, I didn't try the microphone.

Anyway, these are very clear earbuds and they look very nice. They are even kinda' comfortable. They might be a little pricey for a backup pair, but the sound quality is really good.
