He's supposed to be born today. I know his parents will appreciate this lovely little book celebrating babies and families. And they'll get a kick out of it being a banned book.
Got it today. It’s indeed a lovely book, marred by some spots on the inside back cover.

So sweet and true
This was a gift and it’s I my favorite book to read my daughter, now one year old. She loves it! The rhythm is perfect the pictures are incredible, it’s the perfect book because it’s fun to read, over and over and over and over and over...you know what I mean.

It's one of my daughter's favourite book! We checked it out at the library a zillion times, and when I saw this large version of it, I had to get It! The book is perfect - rhyming, beautiful pictures, perfect length for a 1 year old whose attention span is pretty short! Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

poor condition, not new quality.
The story is cute, and the size is just right for little hands. However, these were listed as in new condition, and while they may not have been read before, they look like they were pulled out of a discount bin at a yard sale. The covers have dents and marks, the edges of the pages are discolored and have permanent marker on the edges, the sticker seals have been opened and won’t stick. They don’t look very appealing. As I intended to place them in giftbags for paying clients, they won’t work for that purpose due to their condition.

My daughters favorite book
My toddler LOVES this book! se of the pages have Large both page illustrations, some pages have many small illustrations. There's a lot to look at and a lot to talk about and point out. There are many different types of families represented. My girl gets a kick out of the birthday ending.

I cried a little.
I'm a nanny and the kid and I picked this book up from the library. She loves babies, so I grabbed it without skimming through it to see if she'd like it as I normally would. It wasn't until we got home that I read it to her and realized what an amazing book it is. It's got the sweetest rhymes, and it's so inclusive of many types of families. I'm a queer woman married to a woman and hoping to raise a family, so seeing the two mommies made this book an unexpected delight for me. To have same-sex parents casually existing with everyone else brought me to tears for a moment.
I'm just so thankful of this book and fully intend to buy it come payday next week.
