Great pill splitter.

This little pill splitter is great! It does the job just like it is supposed to do - the blade is super sharp and splits the pills without too much pressure.

It’s pretty safe because of the way it’s constructed and has edges which help with pill retention in the device after they’ve been split.

One thing that I really appreciate about it is that there’s a small area inside the mechanism where you can use the lid to crush pills if you need them in a powdered form. This is perfect if you have difficulty swallowing pills or if you need to crush them up to convince a pet to take their medication by mixing it with food. Very convenient.

I also like that it’s available in a variety of colors, just in case you need more than one splitter for different purposes.

I can see how if you drop it on a hard surface it might break, but as long as you’re fairly careful with it that shouldn’t be an issue.

It’s a good value at this price point. Definitely recommend it.

Perfect for Cutting My Anxiety Pill and Creating New Anxiety

Works exactly as advertised: put the pill in, close the lid, and get two halves.

Then stare at them.

Is the left one slightly bigger? It’s definitely bigger. No, maybe it’s the angle. Rotate them. Compare again. Consider weighing them.

Nothing complements an anxiety/OCD medication quite like having to cut the anxiety/OCD medication exactly in half every single day.

The blade is sharp, the pill stays positioned reasonably well, and it’s compact and inexpensive. Color may vary, which presents an obvious solution: buy blue, black, green, pink/fuchsia, and purple, then conduct a controlled trial to determine which one produces the most symmetrical halves.

Repeat until symptoms improve.

VERDICT: Cuts pills in half. Whether my brain agrees they’re actually halves is outside the manufacturer’s control. 5/5.

Honestly a great little pill cutter for the price! You do have to be gentle with it and have a steady hand as it’s very light weight and moves about easily. Lining it up exactly right can take a minute or two. But slices pretty much perfectly and great to hold the second half in until you need it.. just be cautious when closing the lid with the second half still in there, first time I didn’t push the second half to the side and the knife came back down on it and crushed it (user error 🤣). If you don’t have steady hands, maybe buy a bigger one that is a bit more sturdy. But if that’s not a concern - just buy it, my pills are relatively small (photos attached) and I’ve had no issues after using it for about a month.

It was delivered already damaged

I had high hopes for this product after reading the other reviews, especially considering the price. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.

As soon as I took it out of the packaging, I noticed that the small arm where the pill is placed was loose. At first, I didn’t realize that it was actually cracked or damaged. When I went to use it for the first time, the piece completely broke off.

For something that was brand new and had just been removed from the packaging, I expected it to at least be intact and functional. Unfortunately, it broke before I could even properly use it. Based on my experience, I can’t recommend this product.

Not Great for Oblong Pills or Soft Pills

This pill cutter is just ok .. I have two pills to cut and I fill the pill organizers two weeks at a time so one pill is 14 pills to cut and the other is 7 ( due to dosage) cutting the small round pill should be quick and easy and it basically is but the pills never cut into equal parts and quite a bit of dust is left behind.. but if you want to cut OBLONG pills in half, be prepared to be patient because it’s a MAJOR HASSLE

Works great. Even cuts these very large pills for my dog. Not safe for kids. Blade is very exposed.

Not for older folks that need uncomplicated

If you are older and have small tablets to cut, this particular contraption is not for you. I’m not that old to the point that I need assistance with my meds but this thing had me searching for one half of my pill on one hand and having to finish breaking another with my hands because it didn’t and doesn’t cut that particular tablet entirely. There is a cute feature where one half of the pill comes directly out without opening and the other half in a covered section but that rarely works out. The item was not expensive but it was still a waste of money for me, unfortunately, if I want a better pill cutter, I will have to get something more expensive and definitely a different brand

Would recommend!

I needed a way to cut my child’s meds in half bc of a dosage change on a couple of them and I have tried a knife and just using my fingers and, while those methods do work, they don’t work consistently. Sometimes the pills just crumble completely and that obviously isn’t the outcome needed. I purchased this pill cutter and it has worked perfectly every single time I have used it so far. I like that it is small and will travel well. It looks nice and isn’t a big tacky contraption. I like that if I need to store the pills during cutting there is space for that (it retains a decent amount of tiny halves). I don’t mind that it’s plastic the metal blade is doing all of the cutting work. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small pull cutter. I have used it for tiny pills and larger pills and it is quite versatile in size cutting also.

This is exactly what I was looking for It works very well. If possible try to line the line on your pill up with the cutter so it will potentially cut more straight. What I like the most about it was as soon as you cut the pill one half goes to the side down the little chamber so you can remove it instantly and the other one is stored inside the container for your next dose. Really cool I like it.

Broke During Third Usage

Does a decent job splitting pills but broke during my third usage. Bought one in February 2026 and as the picture shows one of the guide pieces insuring the pill is centered broke in June 2026. I would hope it would last longer. Given the lack of durability I can only recommend selecting a different option.

Cut is a Little Messy and Uneven; Just OK

It’s okay, but not for long-term use. Luckily, I got this pill cutter just as a way to wean off birth control for the next few weeks, and won’t be needing it for anything else, so the meh quality doesn’t hurt. That being said, I wouldn’t recommend this for someone who will be using it for more dire medications. The cut is pretty messy, and is slightly uneven. Also, I ordered the pink color and received a black one. For the price, it’s just okay. Think dollar store quality.

Recommend!

So convenient. Got to cut allergy meds for my fur baby 🐶. He only needs about 1:4 of a dose. This made it so easy to cut and actually cut pretty evenly. This first picture is the pill cut into half. Second is showing 1:4 on the cutting side. 10/10 would recommend

Great Little Gadget

Nice size and kiss lock closure. The blade is very sharp and cuts the pills in half easily. The “V” shaped design allows accommodation of various sizes of pills. The first half drops down into an open receptacle and the second half is stored cleanly away until it’s needed. I really like this little gadget. Glad I purchased it and would definitely buy again. Not expensive and so worth it.

Perfect! Great price and the product is excellent. It snaps shut very securely without being difficult to get open. It cuts my pills precisely and I love how it has a storage compartment.

One thing that would improve the pill cutter would be some markers to show where to position the pill. However, there is a small number 3 that falls in the middle where I position the pill and it cuts perfectly.

Love this small, pill cutter! Perfect for if you need a lower dose of medication. It's small and portable which is a plus. The razor is right in the middle on the top so be careful opening it as trying to open it the first time was a little snug.

Outstanding for the price!

This pill cutter seems pretty durable but what I really thought was unique about this one was that after you cut the pill you don’t need to reopen the cutter you tip it and half the pill has a slot to come out and the other half is held in the case until you need it later. It definitely eliminates having a bottle full of half cup pills that you can’t find. I thought this was a very cool feature. Also, it’s very easy to get open and the blade is super sharp so it doesn’t require a lot of pressure to cut the pill.

Compact and thin

I really like the size of this pill-cutter. Because the lid opens so wide, it's easy to align the score mark. The blade is sharp and cuts cleanly without little "crumbs" forming. It's also nice that half of the pill you've cut comes out the exit hole for use while the other half is stored in the body of the container.

Does a really good job

This pill slicer has been so helpful. Now I don’t have to worry about the sizing of me splitting a pill. I’m just confused why there are holes/ slots on the bottom of where the slicer is, it leaves pill residue on the table after I use it.

Seeing is believing

Great little splitter if held upside down

I figured out that if I held it upside down it is easy to split. Originally, I was splitting regular side up but found it would slide and wiggle around not getting a clean cut. Love it now!

I got this for about 3 bucks and it works really well. Been using to split the dosages of the medication regularly and did not have any issues.

Easy to use with one flaw

This pill splitter definitely comes in handy, however, if the pill you are trying to split does not have a line down the middle, about 7/10 times the pill will just crumble and not split.

The best simple pill cutter you will find on

I bought this pill cutter to cut caffeine tablets so I can take a smaller dose of caffeine. It's extremely easy to use and doesn't feel flimsy at all. There's lots of little grooves on the inside that help make the process easier. You can even store the other half inside until you need it; it stays secure when you shut it and it easily stays in a little compartment thanks to the grooves on the inside. I've also had success quartering tablets with this pill cutter.

Don't let the price tag fool you; this is the best one and you should only be paying more for a pill cutter with more features.

Cuts pills cleanly.

This pill cutter cuts the pills cleanly in half without a lot of powder. When I tried cutting with a knife, I turned a 1/8-1/4 of the pill to powder. But, this one cuts it pretty clean.

Also got the green one and not the blue one pictured. But, I like the green one better.

Durable and easy to use

I had other cutters before and I like this one better because after cutting it stores a half of the pill and the other half can be dispensed to take. The durable blade cuts the pills easily and it is slim and small so easy to travel with. I like it.

Decent for splitting tiny pills

I needed something to cut small pills into fourths, a daunting task, and every single pill splitter has such a mix of reviews. It still has a ton of terrible reviews though, so I hope my review is helpful.

This splitter worked fine for me. No pill splitter is going to be super accurate for small pills. My quarter-pills aren’t totally identical to each other in size, but that’s fine. The splitter isn’t designed to slice all the way through your pill— that would pulverize it— so the result is going to partially depend on how powdery your pill is. I pressed down too aggressively on my first try and accidentally crushed a pill. I learned to be more careful and now it’s working great for me.

I also like that the splitter includes a storage compartment to save the other pill pieces. That’s nifty.

Overall I’m happy with this splitter and recommend it, but just know that you’ll have to be careful.

Amazing Pill Cutter!

***Do not mind my chipped nail polish! I am so sorry! I need to buy nail polish remover!

I saw many good reviews from this pill cutter so I decided to give it a shot! I usually don’t write reviews (cause I am lazy) but this product definitely deserves one! I have very small pills for my diabetes, and too much of it can cause me to faint from low blood sugar! I was so scared to use this but within the first few cuts, my fears went away! I used this pill cutter on 90 pills in about 10 minutes and it still stayed sharp! It is incredibly accurate and didn’t crumble one single pill! The trick is to hold it up at an angle and press down, rather than laying it flat. I also loved the price cause I am a cheap college student! I am very happy with this purchase and I recommend it to everyone!

Okay, but could be better

Overall value for this is good, but with a few caveats.

I need this because I have triangle-shaped medication which is really difficult to halve by hand—next to impossible actually.

This cutter works, but it's not particularly the best. I do not seem to get a consistent nor *clean* cut. It's good enough, but it would NOT be good for someone who needs a perfectly halved medication. And it creates quite a bit of dust from my particular medication.

It has a cute feature where once halved, one side will come through the case and into your palm without having to open the lid, but this actually causes problems for me when I am trying to split a bunch of medication one after another. The bump which creates the opening, also keeps the lid from closing if there is an existing halve on that side. So I have to empty the unit after each press.

I'll keep using this until it is too dull to work any longer, but I would not buy it again.
