The light for some reason only charges with a specific type of usb c cord and it is very inconvenient because there’s no way to find which specific cable to use. I’ve used 8 different cables and had 0 luck. Get the aperture MC light instead

FANTASTIC!
The Falcon Eyes F7 is an amazing tool! I received this light panel as a gift for Christmas (2020), and was INSTANTLY excited and couldn't wait to use it. Basically everything about this light is top-notch. The build quality is excellent, light output is excellent, the magnet built in to the back panel (for easy mounting on metal surfaces) is excellent and makes on incredibly versatile, battery life is excellent, and it comes loaded with 'scenes' which are just plain fun to use. I used it to provide light for the photo attached to this review -I was stuck in quarantine and just couldn't wait to shoot something, so I shot my cleanest pair of shoes- and was completely satisfied while using it attached to a secondary tripod using the standard threaded mount of the bottom. Grab one! You won't be disappointed!

Professional Light
This is on par with any professional light, like Aputure or Kinoflo. This light is so easy to operate and place. It makes a terrific car light as you can mount it anywhere with gaff tape or bongo ties. As a backup light it works too. Will also mount easily to any camera's hot shoe for runandgun interviews.

Versatile, simple if you want but has more advanced options
This is a really nicely made light that is versatile, efficient, and effective. I love how it can be used simply with a few settings or if can be made to be a lot more complicated if you want. There are so many combinations of colors, light intensities, etc, and the light colors appear to be incredibly accurate (but that is subjective so it could be different to different people). This has really helped me bring my videos to a new level because I really did not realize how much lighting impacted video and/or picture quality. Lighting is super important and this is a sort of "jack of all trades" for me. The first time that I used it I was able to get up and running with some pretty simple steps and I noticed a very large jump in video quality. Now I can dial in the exact colors that I want or I can experiment to try different looks. This really simplifies things for me while adding a lot of production value to my content.
Pros:
Battery life is good for how bright it gets
So many lighting possibilities
Small and compact
Not too heavy; can be held up with even a tablet holder
Simple to start with but has options to be way more complicated if desired
Good value
Quality, accurate lighting
Cons:
Seems a bit costly at first but you really get a lot of functionality for the value (so basically no cons for me)
Overall, this is a super easy and effective lighting solution that can really help bump up your production value. I know it has helped my content tremendously and I really love how simple and versatile it can be with the added functionality to help me grow as a creator when I desire.

Updated Review! Died After The 4th Use, Seller Refuses to Honor Warranty! Shady Practices!
Update:
After the 4th use this light completely died on me, it turns on and off goes immediately, even when I left it charging over night and while even connected to power source, used different cable and different chargers and still nothing, this is waste of $180, it's not worth it.
Truly an exceptional portable light and it got a big brand name behind it, they will never scam you, like this seller. Lesson Learned.
======================
From amateurs to professionals, this Falcon Eyes F7 LED light is a necessary addition to your arsenal.
It has a beautiful aluminum high quality build design with magnetic backing, shoe mount, ability to utilize while charging, and a silicone diffuser with honey comb only compliment the superb interface that allows for friendly and seamless total control of the enormous ability of this light with being lightweight, compact and bright for 12W.
The pro's are essentially endless, and I have not found a con after using it in my last shoot. I could elaborate on an on in a lengthy essay as to why you need this light and it’s immense versatility, but you just need to try it your self. So I’ll just simply summarize that for $179, this is a MUST BUY. You may just find yourself buying more after your first one, The only down side I would say is, when using it while charging the max brightness goes to %70 and there is no way you can use 100% while connected to power only on battery mode, which i found odd a little, but other wise this is a great buy at a steal price.. highly recommended ..

Solid build, very bright with great features!
I ordered the ‘Falcon Eyes F7 12W RGB Led Light, with Honeycomb Grid and Softbox,CRI 97,2500K-9000K Adjustable with Magnet Adsorption Function, OLED Display,Multiple Scenario Mode’ for review and would like to share some of my thoughts.
So I have tried several different pocket lights similar to this one and I must say that this FalconEyes F7 is my absolute favorite. It’s just so versatil with so many options. I so appreciate the 1 inch OLED display on the back because of the info it provides. This kit includes a silicon light diffuser and a silicon honeycomb attachment which directs the light without bleed off. The kit comes with a USB C charging cable (Yay) ,a soft protective zippered case, cold shoe attachment and an adjustable mounting bracket. On the back of the unit it has a helpful HSI (or as I call it - RGB) light chart guide. This shows the spectrum of Hue settings that give you a base number when looking for a particular color. The frame of the light has built in magnets that can be used for mounting to a metal surface.
The Falcon Eyes F7 pocket light has three modes. First mode lets you adjust the light from 9000K (cool) way down to 2500K (warm). You can adjust the brightness level in this mode. Second mode is the Scenario or Scene mode which lets you choose from 20 different pre-programmed lighting effects such as White Strobe Light, Flashing Red Warning light, flashing police car, Lightning, ect. I really don’t use this mode often, but they could be fun and useful for videos. Third mode is HSI mode as I mentioned before. You can adjust the HSI color you want, and adjust the Saturation of the chosen color. This is a great mode for both video and photography. See attached video for a demo of the modes.
The Falcon Eyes F7 build quality is amazing compared to other pocket lights I have. It’s built with a solid aluminium alloy frame, a USB C charging port for fast charging.
Overall, the Falcon Eyes F7 is an incredible Pocket Light. It’s so bright and very versatile. The Build quality, numerous features and the invaluable included accessories make this a handy tool to add to your photography and videography bag.

Big, Heavy but is powerful and versatile
When it comes to LED light for photo/video, there are many good options out there and after testing this one, I can recommend this product. The only thing that I do not like is the price but I think that other than that, this is light delivers. Keep in mind all lights of this type get hot after some 10 minutes of use, this is physics and all lights, regardless of what brand they are, it will get hot, so do not return/discard your unit. Just be careful with hot surfaces.
What I like:
Bright and you have a fair gamut of light temperature (2500K to 9000K). The BOLING BL-P1 is 3200-8500K.
Body is made of metal (aluminum I think) and is not lightweight as has some magnets and other components.
It’s compact but not too much: The BOLING BL-P1 is more compact.
The battery is integrated and to me this is good as there is no need to carry additional batteries. The bad is that when battery ages, you will have to discard the unit as battery replacement is not intended to be performed by the user.
Has one ¼” inch hole on the bottom. It comes with a carrying case, sticker with scene modes and USB-C cable. Also, it comes with a silicone mesh and a silicone diffuser.
What I do not like:
Price, big and heavy. Battery life is not that great. I used it for 20 minutes and lost 1 bar of the battery indications.
You can control intensity, temperature and you also can produce RGB colors (red, green, blue shades) and effects (called scenes on this device) like ambulance, TV effect, lightning effects for a total of 20 different scenes. Recommended.

Custom Accent Lighting
The Falcon Eyes F7 12W LED light is about the most unique light I own...
First - This is a really nice product, it is professional quality & made to exacting standards..
Second - It is Multi Purpose, the versatile nature of this light enables it to fulfill multiple roles.
Accessorized - This LED light comes with some neat stuff to enable you to employ this light in many ways...
I like the white silicon filter that softens the light (see pic)
For now my F7 is being used to light our spiral stairway entrance at night :)
Yes the light has a magnet on the back that allows you to attach it to metal surfaces …. which is really great!
The F7 also comes with a quality zippered carry case with adjustable attachment strap.
The colors on this light are fantastic & the special effects modes are interesting too.
This light is easy to charge & operate & it seems to hold it's charge pretty good... I have used it allot on it's first charge & it is still going strong.
I really like this cool little LED light, it is above average quality, works well & is allot of fun!
IMO the F7 is highly recommendable & merits a five star rating as well as a unique product recommendation:)

Amazing Light!
This Falcon Eyes F7 12w RGB LED Light is a Fantastic Tool and can be a Deal Breaker between taking Bland and Beautiful pictures. It comes with a Honeycomb Grid and a Softbox, which are easy to slide on Silicon Covers, in case you’re new to all of this like I am. This Light has a vast amount of settings that I’m still learning about but, it’s really impressive.
It’s Adjustable from 2,500k, up to a seriously Bright and Clear 9,000k and even has a Magnet inside it so, you can just stick it to any Steel Surface for making a good Photo Shoot. It has an OLED Screen and a large range of RGB Colors and a variety of Scenarios, such as Lighting effects, Etc. I’m working on building up a better System of Camera and Video Equipment to enhance my abilities to do better Reviews and I’ve quite a way to go but this Light is a great addition to do the job.
I think highly of it and would definitely refer it to anyone in the need.
Thank you for reading this and I hope this light is as good for you, as it’s been for me, if you decide get yourself one.
Enjoy!

Very impressive kit, a must for photo/video pros
I got this to help enhance the lighting for my photos and DIY videos. After using it for a few days I am impressed with how versatile it is. I also own a PIXEL 3200k-5600k which is a decent tool at 69$ but falls behind this one even in regular white/yellow light modes. Im my opinion, if you're going to invest in a studio light, it might as well be this one. At 149$ it is on the pricier side but it will be the last light you'll ever buy (unless you decide you need more than one of the same).
Construction is sturdy, the body is aluminum with a thick plastic lens for the LEDs. There's a very handy display on the back, shows pretty much everything you might be interested in.
Battery life is good, I had it on at around 25% intensity for more than 1h and it only went down one bar. After that, I kept using it on and off for a few more hours at different intensity levels but the battery remained at the same level.
Switching the modes is also done easily, it has a 360 RGB gamut with each individual number having - to 100% saturation customization settings, so you get about 36000 different possible colors. In white/yellow light modes you can adjust every 50K, which is another plus over the Pixel.
There's also a scene mode, has about 20 scenes, I liked the lightning and the heartbeat ones. The rest are a bit too intense for my taste but it might help some if they want to do some police/ambulance/seizure style videos.
In the box you will also find a light diffuser and a honeycomb grid for up-close shots, they're easy to install and do the job well.
You also get a few different mounting options, I use the cold shoe one with a handheld tripod for my phone. All the pics were taken on a Galaxy S9 BTW. There's another double 1/4 tripod mount (male/male) if you want to install this in a special way at different angles. I have not used that one at all but it looks sturdy, it's all metal and it has a butterfly screw for easy use.
Overall I think this is a great light&accessories and it is worth the price.

Amazingly versatile light, great for photos, video and light painting.
I shoot a lot of effects photos where I use creative lighting instead of speedlights - usually portable LED panels and flashlights. Until recently the portable LED panels were white with temperature control or used plastic overlays to adjust colors. This light changes all that. Yes, there are other brands of this style of light - I have a few of those as well. All seem to use the same software as they all have the same special effects (strobe, pulse, etc.) and light panel functions. This one is about 20% smaller than the others. The trade off is a longer run time. Plus this model allows adjustment to all lighting modes, including the special effects. Other models don't allow adjustments to the effects. This can be handy for video where you want to fake an emergency vehicle's lights glow, change strobe effects and so on. It's also sick at raves.
The light has a swivel arm on the bottom (another unique feature) that lets you swivel the panel 360 degrees. There's a 1/4-20 tripod thread on the bottom of this and a cold show mount on top. When the arm is extended you'll see another two 1/4-20 threads.
General features: Charges via USB C, all aluminum case, frosted plastic lens. LED control display on back. There are two dial controls for brightness and function, plus three push-buttons and a power slide switch. It takes a little practice to get used to the controls because there are so many options. The brightness can be adjusted in 1% increments.
The only thing It's missing is a tripod thread on a short edge so it could be mounted portrait mode as well. The battery also charges pretty slowly - takes 8-10 hours to fully charge from a 2 amp charge port.
When I picked this up it was $90 and well worth it. If you're into light painting it's also a great tool, but you may have to add some foam to the front to even out the light.

Portable LED light. Well built, with great color control
Just started using this light. And I like it. Well built. The fact that you have a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 97 in a light at this price is amazing. A high CRI means you won't have strange color issues such as magenta or green cast in color critical work as you do with lessor quality lights. I took the Falcon Eyes Pocket Light out on a photo walk with a group of professional photographers in Sacramento, CA and several asked to know where to get the light after seeing it in action. It's a relatively small light with a lot of possibilities. It's a little bigger than a large cell phone and does fit in a pocket but I like to carry it in a small Think Tank photo pouch with my spare lenses. It comes with a zipper pouch you can attach to your belt. Here's a shooting tip. You can make this light appear larger by having your camera stationary on a tripod. Use a slightly longer exposure time and move the light while making the photo. That's how the model was lit in the accompanying photo.

A must own!
I love this light and it’s my new favorite piece of lighting gear! It does so many different things, and it does them very well. Battery life is longer than expected and the light output is very strong for a light about the size of a smart phone. I plan on buying a second light because I like it so much.

Best Bang for the Buck in RGB Lighting
I reviewed this light for a video I did on YouTube and I was super impressed. This was my first time using HSI settings at a consumer level. The light was good quality, magnetic (which I didn't know until just now!!!!), and has the amazing effect scene settings that I can't wait to put into use.
I have used a lot of FalconEyes products in the past and will always recommend them. This light is no exception. If you are looking for an affordable yet quality entry point to get into RGB lighting, look no further.
