Good Quality, Speed, Performance

Nice, quality look and feel - matches the standard Apple Silver/White theme. Small in hand

Attached via USB-C cable it came with to PC to check formatting (exFAT reformatted, which works PnP with Apple and Windows OS) - yielding an expected 465.76GB usable in the 512GB drive. Also got good read/write speeds on CrystalDisk (see pics).

Attaching to a MagSafe iPhone was an easy, solid magnetic “snap” on to my case. Didn’t budge, would have to try hard or be careless for it to come off without some force. So I give it good marks there.

Unfortunately, I am waiting for an iPhone 17 Pro to arrive in the mail still, so the USB-C SSD connection to my older Apple iPhone 14 Pro Lightening connection isn’t optimal for 4K HD Direct recording, so I cannot test for that use yet.

However I was able to quickly transfer PDF, Video and Photo files from iPhone to the SSD easily, and then they showed up as you would expect in the Finder of both Windows 11 and MacOS-26.

So this is super handy and very portable in size. Only wish I had the 1TB or larger size model now! Give this a try!!

Sleek and fast little ssd. Fanxiang is a solid brand.

This is a perfect little square portable ssd. Its magnetic and can magnetze to your phone if it has a magnetic wireless charging ring. Or there's a magnetic ring you can stick to the back of your phone case included in package.

Fortunately this is just a regular usb c ssd so you can easily use it with Windows as well. I was able to confirm usb 3.2 gen 2x2 2000MB/s speeds using Crystal Disk mark on a 3.2 gen 2x2 usb c port on my pc. Read speeds hit 2000 but write is about 1600. Both are excellent speeds and about as fast as you can get before you step up to Thunderbolt and USB 4.

Works great on my phone and includes a short, well made 20gbps usb c cable for that purpose.

I intend to keep this in my backpack as extra storage for my phone that is now almost maxed out as well as an always available device for quickly transferring files back and forth when wireless is just to slow.

The design is pleasant and feels great to hold. Gets warm to the touch when in use but not crazy hot.

Price is good but I consider a little higher than other ssds based on size. But this is 3d and TLC not QLC and so is better quality and will last longer than other cheaper QLC drives.

I have several other Fanxiang brand SSD drives, both internal and external and have been quite satisfied with all of them.

One final note. As mentioned in the product description, not all phones (or computers) allow full 2000MB/s speeds so if you are not seeing the speed you expect double check your device's USB-C specs first. Also double check the cable you use. The short one included in package does for sure work at 2000MB/s. Not all USB c cables will support the speed so confirm the specs there as well. If in doubt, buy a cable that specifically states usb c gen 3.2 2x2 speeds, not just usb c gen 3.2.

Absolutely love it!

Works great! The magnet keeps it connected to the phone really well. I used it on a road trip today with a few movies I loaded on it for the kids, and it worked flawlessly. I love being able to back up my phone and tablet to it, as well as put movies on it to watch on trips. It's really thin and well built, very solid feeling. the included USB cable is the perfect length to reach the phone's port, and the cable is really high-quality . the entire package has a really nice design, and it all feels really high-quality as a whole.

Wow! Thin and light, magnetized, loads of use cases

I honestly didn't expect to take a shine to this thing. I don't have a Magsafe phone, I do have a ton of storage space on my phone, and I had it in my head that this was a product for phones, but I'm an IT guy and storage is storage, so I grabbed it. But I kept thinking, what advantage could this possibly have over just a 2230 m.2 enclosure.

The second I felt this in my hands I realized I had it all wrong. This thing is awesome! For essentially the same price as a 500gb 2230 drive and enclosure, you get this, which loses the swappability from the enclosure, but gains being like less than a cm thick. And I'm now considering the applications of magnetism beyond the back of a phone. Hiding important data somewhere no one would look, held their by magnet. A drive you access often that you could literally just stick to the (metal) leg of your desk. Fridge magnet!

I did a quick file copy just to make sure nothing egregious was off about their speed claims, I didn't bench it just eyeballed it and it's about right. It's fanxiang, they aren't a "brand" name but they aren't some fake nonsense either, I've dealt with tons of fanxiang drives with no surprises.

If there were some huge premium on this form factor, I'd recoil a bit. But it's the same price as a drive+enclosure, and there's a tradeoff that makes each appropriate for different scenarios. This has use cases beyond a phone, and I'm incredibly impressed by this particular brand and product for creating a sleek, stylish device.
