Excellent for landscape and portrait photography once you get it set up

I bought this mainly for photography, not video, and for my use it has been excellent. I’m using it with my OM System OM-1 Mark II, and I did have to purchase the correct cable separately: a Micro HDMI Type D to full-size HDMI Type A cable. That cable was not included with my setup for my camera. I also had to change my camera’s HDMI menu setting to 1080p to get everything working properly.

Take your time with this monitor and read the instructions. I also emailed the company to ask about a firmware update, which appears to be the only way to get the update file. That part is kind of annoying. The included sunshade also did not come with Velcro strips, and even if it had, it would be awkward to attach because of the ports on the side. I ended up ordering a glass screen protector and a caged sun hood because even at 100% brightness, I still prefer some shading outdoors.

The monitor itself is a nice size at 6 inches, with a 1920x1080 screen, touchscreen controls, and LUT support. It is also lightweight, so it does not feel ridiculous mounted with my camera setup. I also like that it comes with useful extras like the battery, tilt arm, sunshade, Micro HDMI cable, manual, and carry bag/case, so you are not starting completely from scratch.

In real-life use, this is exactly what I should have been using for landscape photography. Trying to compose a photo while looking at the small camera screen is no match for having a monitor of this size and quality. I do a lot of slow shutter and timed release waterfall photography with a remote, and now I touch the camera even less because I can fully see what I am capturing.

Portrait work is just as useful. Being able to take a photo and immediately show the model, or just check it myself on a screen this size, makes it much easier to know right away if the shot is a hit or miss.

If you do landscape or outdoor portrait photography like I do, this is excellent. I know it is also used for videography, but I’m reviewing it from a photography angle where you are outdoors and not tethered to a laptop like in a studio. See photos for the cable I had to purchase, my HDMI camera setting, product shots, measurements, and weight.

Great Compatibility with My Canon Rebel T3

I wanted to try a digital touchscreen field monitor for my camera setup, so I decided to give this one a try. One of the first things I noticed was the compatibility. It fit and connected to my Canon Rebel T3 without any issues, and everything worked together as expected.

I like the size of the screen because it gives me a much larger view than using the camera screen alone. The display is bright, clear, and sharp, making it easier to see details while framing shots. The monitor does add a little extra size and weight to the camera setup, which is expected with a larger external screen, but I found the added screen space and visibility to be worth it. The monitor has a nice appearance, feels solid, and looks great mounted on the camera. The included mount holds it securely in place, and the construction feels sturdy and dependable.

The instructions were easy to follow, and setup did not take long. I also appreciated that it came with the battery, HDMI cable, mounting bracket, and sun hood, so I had everything needed to get started. The sun hood is a nice addition because it helps reduce glare and makes the screen easier to see when shooting outdoors. The touchscreen responds well, the menus are straightforward, and the larger display makes shooting photos and videos more comfortable and convenient.

What stands out most to me is the ease of setup, the responsive touchscreen, and the clear picture quality. Everything worked well with my Canon Rebel T3, and it has been a useful addition to my camera setup. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a larger viewing screen for their DSLR.

Very dim in full daylight

This is a good monitor for its price point. It has some serious draw backs that needs to be considered. This is great for indoor shooting. Go outside on a sunny day, the flimsy hood is laughable and seeing the screen is a joke. If you can see an image, the glare is so bad it’s impossible to make out what your camera is seeing. Shot too many bad shots fighting this. If I shoot outside, I leave this off and use my tiny GH5s screen. Defeating the purpose and $$ spent. Controls are clunky and no false color options are minor issues for its price. If using indoors or in heavily shaded areas or you have a mobile tent, this will be a good monitor.

Great little monitor for the price!

Overall I am super happy with my purchase! I have a few different 7” monitors which are too big and bulky for my style of shooting. Therefore the 5.5” fit perfectly for my needs!

When it comes to build quality I wasn’t expecting the feel or durability of a SmallHD or similar brands in that price point. The F6 is a full plastic build, but has been thrown around in cases and bags and has survived multiple flights to jobs. That being said I am very aware it’s not indestructible and really try to protect it when I can. It’s held up great for me, but a drop or two will probably be the end of it.

The usability is good. I found the menu and navigation of them crude, but effective. The more I use it the easier it is to find features. I do wish it had a few assignable buttons to easily toggle some of the features, but the lower pop up menu has most of what I need.

The built in features such as focus peaking, zebra, false color, and histograms all work great for what I need and provide a good enough reference for me while shooting to make me feel comfortable using them. I also really enjoy the option to load my own luts into the monitor which is something I find my self using more and more. The process of adding them is fairly simple using a SD card once you figure out the menus.

The display is good for the price point! It’s manageable to use outside with the included Velcro shade, but extremely hard to see without it. If you’re shooting indoors it will be plenty bright enough for you! I will say this monitor is not the most color accurate monitor out there! There is some discrepancies between it and the built in monitors on my A7IV and FS5, however I mostly wanted this monitor to assist with framing and the assist features such as peaking and false color.

I did have a mishap with my monitor arriving without the HDMI cable, but Feelworld support had me squared away and sent a new one out fairly quick. I would recommend the F6 to anyone wanting an external monitor for smaller mirrorless cameras that a 7” is too big for. It is full of useable features and as long as you understand the price point of it and what it’s capable of it’s one of the best out there!

Awesome for Pokemon Unboxing Videos

I really like the size of it and the extras that came along with it. Make sure you order a battery because they don't come with one. Also order a screen protector and your set. I went the extra mile and got a cage for it. It's awesome to have an overhead view and I don't have to look up at my tiny camera screen to see if I'm in position or not. Love it so far!

The monitor was great while it lasted

The monitor was immaculate while it worked, no complaints with that, it didn’t last as long as I was hoping it would despite the lack of use I put it through, from what I’ve read on many reviews on here the issue isn’t something that hasn’t been faced with in the past but I wanted to believe they were wrong, very disappointed at the fact it actually gave out. I’ve used new hdmi to micro cables and no result. I am extremely disappointed.

The monitor really surprised me

The monitor really surprised me. It has very nice bag. Image quality is very good indeed. I really recommend the seller and products that he sells.

Missing Accesories!

Really fast delivery, unfortunately is missing the HDMI cable and the sun-shade for the screen.

Great field monitor for the money

Great value for the money. Not perfect though: it's a little dim in bright sun, even with the included sunshade. Other than that though, the included mounting arm makes this easy to attach to the camera, and the touch-screen interface is a joy to use compared to a bunch of buttons. Image quality is fantastic. (A case would be a welcome addition!)

Arrived broken, check battery connections

One of the Sony battery pins was missing on mine. The system still powered up using an external cable, and while it offers a lot of great features at this price point, I found the menu system a bit confusing.

Considering an Atmos, at over 2x the price...

Expensive but Great

This is expensive but if you are a pro, worth every penny. Is more than a monitor: is touchscreen, gives you the ability to preload LUTS for color grading, has histogram and many other features. If you are in the hunt of something more affordable, FEELWORDL has some other options with more basic functions. Recommended.

Missing hardware makes for useless equipment

I was so excited to use this monitor. It came highly recommended, and I saw it had good reviews from other retail sites. I needed time to get used to the unit before filming. I received the unit, minus two key components. The "12V Adapter, " and the "HDMI Cable." Before purchasing, I cross-referenced my DSLR's compatibility with this monitor to ensure they would work together. They would, except for the missing HDMI cable.

In the product description it reads, "Package Included:" then lists the items, "1x Micro HDMI Cable," and "1x HDMI Cable." My package came with two HDMI Micro cables, and no HDMI cable.

In addition, the missing 12V Adapter is somewhat troublesome too. If it weren't for the fact that I can use my camera's battery to power the unit, not having a power adapter would render the unit useless, as well.

Alas, I cannot tell you whether the unit is as good as advertised b/c it wasn't sold to me as advertised. I've reached out to the company for resolution, but have been met with seeming cynicism and a reluctance to help resolve the issue. I'm very much looking forward to amending this review from a 1-star to a 5-star, but customer service hasn't reconciled anything about my experience.

Wonderful screen!

This screen is a great value over others I’ve tried. Bright, light and the lutz is super helpful when filming for color correction. You will not be disappointed!

Great relation with price and functions

The feelworld monitor model F6 plus touch screen is really wonderful. I really like its composition and design. The support for batteries type FP and LP, (Sony and Canon) is very versatile and very easy to remove. The touch works very well and has many functions necessary for a good exposure such as False Color and Histogram. The focus assistant is very accurate too. It is very intuitive in its functionality. I also like that it has the rollers for the support on the right side and above and below the monitor. The support it brings is very comfortable and versatile. The incorporation of luts to the monitor is very practical! the only thing that could be improved is the size of the edge of the screen that could be smaller, just as nothing in the way. I really recommend this monitor for the price quality ratio.

Love the touch screen and menu wheel!

I wanted a monitor with a touch screen that was easy to use and that was affordable. That's my main criteria for almost any product, and I have to say that this monitor certainly delivers. I was not expecting it to be as easy as it is. The main thing that I like is the touch screen and how responsive it is. I can increase or decrease the brightness simply by swiping up or down, I can access the menus simply by doubly tapping the screen, and as an added bonus I can magnify the screen the same way I would do on a smartphone. That makes getting your focus easy. Additionally all the main tools for video are in this thing - zebras, false colors, focus peaking, histogram, and of course a headphone jack. And you can also increase and decrease your headphone volume with a simple swipe too. The only thing that is missing is a waveform monitor, but it seems most of these monitors do not come with that feature. Despite that 1 flaw, this thing is pretty amazing.

Ballin on a budget.

I liked the new features that feelworld brought, such as the touchscreen and adding LUTs live. After using it for a couple of days now. I can say it has been great to be able to use it for interviews, vlogging, and short films. If you're on a budget, this would be your best choice.

Great purchase. Would do again

So far no complaints about this product! I love the fact that it is a touch screen and also that I can add my own LUTs. The build quality is sturdy and robust. It doesn’t feel cheap even though it’s affordable. Very happy. The only thing I’d add is an auto flip feature. Other than that very happy about this purchase.

Touch screen is amazing

I use this on my handheld camera rig, on a gimbal, and for youtube videos. Works great. Perfect size in my opinion and the option to add LUTs is perfect. Touch screen is a huge time saver

Lightweight easy to use

Monitor is very lightweight and easy to use. The touch interface is simple and gives you all you need for your shoot. I really love the focus assist, ability to mount on 3 sides and the dual battery option. The only con I can really see right now is the fact that you must remove the battery when the unit is off. If you leave it in, it will drain the battery.

So much to love at a fantastic price!

There is so much to love about this field monitor. While it isn't perfect, it's a fantastic deal for the price -- and I'm hoping that Feelworld follows through with providing firmware updates for this (and also finds a way to sell a case (which will also fit a battery + charger) separately for this).

1. First, this is a perfect complement to the Sony A7iii and other cameras that don't have a flip-out screen. Feelworld have fixed the mounting arm with this version so it stays reasonably tight when you rotate the monitor.

2. The quality of the screen is fantastic. It's sharp and renders colors really well.

3. Be warned, once you go touch-screen, you won't want to go back to buttons. This monitor is so much more intuitive and quick to navigate via the on-screen controls than hardware buttons. I love it.

4. This screen size is perfect for run & gun style shooting. While not as bright as some monitors boasting 1000+ nits, it's certainly bright enough. Absolutely perfect for indoors, but also does well outdoors with the hood in direct sunlight.

5. The ability to load luts is fantastic. Especially at this price point. My only issue with this is that when I had zebras turned on (in this case at 100% to see where I was overexposed) AND a lut turned on, the lut canceled out the zebra, even though parts of my video were *still* overexposed (without the lut). But with the lut activated, the zebras disappeared and the image looked properly exposed (rather than highlights being white, they were the nearest non-overexposed shade -- it was kind of odd. It looked good, actually, but isn't how this lut actually works in practical use. While this isn't at all a big deal, I'm still hoping it get fixed in an update.

6. I really wish this came with a battery, charger, and case. *Especially* a case. I would have been willing to pay a little more if it included one. Because, as it is, I cannot find an appropriately sized case for this. I know Feelworld has them -- but I guess they don't sell them separately.

7. I can highly recommend this monitor. It's a solid quality device at a great price.
