This is a work of art, a product of very high quality. It is very easy and convenient to assemble and balance. All functions work very conveniently. If something is unclear, artificial intelligence through Google will teach, explain and answer all your questions, even what is not in the instruction manual. The quality is very high, I am very pleased with the purchase, it is very convenient to shoot the film. Use lenses with internal zoom only. Or regular lenses without zoom.

I’ll be honest, I was hesitant at first because I’ve gambled on another gimbal in the past that looked good on paper but left me frustrated. This one (the SCORP 2) completely changed the game for me.
The built-in AI tracking is a standout feature — no extra modules or add-ons needed. I just make a quick gesture, and it follows perfectly. Compared to my old gimbal where I had to fiddle with extra accessories, this feels effortless.
Another win is the instant vertical setup. On my previous gimbal, switching to vertical was a whole process, sometimes making me miss the moment. With the SCORP 2, it’s literally just slide, click, and done.
I also love the 1.3” touchscreen and control knob — way more intuitive than tiny buttons. It makes fine-tuning rotation and zoom so much smoother. Plus, the wireless/Bluetooth control is reliable and feels way more seamless than the clunky cable setup I had before.
When you pair it with the app, it unlocks even more features, like remote control using your phone’s motion sensors — which honestly blew me away.
Overall, after trying a “budget gamble” before and being disappointed, the SCORP 2 is the real deal. It feels professional, responsive, and actually fun to use. If you’ve been burned by a lesser version like I was, don’t hesitate — this is the upgrade you’ve been looking for.

I picked up the FeiyuTech SCORP 2 Camera Stabilizer to use with my Nikon Z8 for larger video shoots. I want to mention that I also have the DJI RS 4 Pro, which is an awesome gimbal yet costs 3x this one. With that, I have to say the SCORP 2 is actually AMAZING, especially at this price! Seriously, you cannot get better without spending GOBS more $.
So, if you're looking for a great budget with bigger-than-budget features, then I'd strongly recommend picking up the FeiyuTech SCORP 2!

I’ve purchased a number of gimbals in the past and this by far has the most features. The inclusion of a durable built-in kickstand is super convenient. I’ve had AI tracking on another gimbal, but it came as a separate add-on device. I love that the Scorp 2 Has AI tracking built-in!
As far as build quality goes, it’s built just as rugged as the other high-end gimbals I’ve owned. However, the lock sliders are larger which I like because it makes setup a lot quicker. The two handles set up is so nice! Charging is also super fast. A 40% charge took about 10 minutes.
I haven’t tested performance yet, but I’ll update as soon as I’m able to go and shoot video.

Calidad premium en el material que está hecho, soporta buen peso con mi camara ZV-E10 y lente gran angular Sigma, su agarre extra hace que sea super cómodo el manejo, y el seguimiento con inteligencia artificial funciona excelente.

My Sony a6400 camera has a smallrig cage and goes perfectly on. I had no issues balancing or controlling my camera with the Gimbal shutter button. The built in tracker is a big bonus for me. Had a removable tracker with my previous gimbal which I sometimes removed by accident. Being able to use both hands helps, not only to stabilize the picture but also keeps me balanced. I tend to use the Multifunction knob way more, it’s a plus to have sharpe steady control. Quality of the gimbal is amazing and well built.

Today I'm reviewing this Camera Gimbal, the Scorp 2 by Feiyu Tech,
We'll do a quick unboxing here: Inside the box we are greeted with an instruction booklet, socials card, and a warning to not power on without a camera attached and balanced first.
Then we see the form fitting case holding the gimbal. There is a tripod handle, the gimbal, mounting plates, an L bracket and other mounting pieces. There is also a small box of accessories holding adapters and cables.
One thing I've noticed about this gimbal, we'll compare it to a Weebill 3. The build quality is on-par with the Weebill 3 and I do prefer that one a bit overall. However, for certain use cases, and where I think this one excels is it does have a built-in kind of tripod with these two feet that extend. That's a nice feature if you don't want to use the screw-in tripod on the handle. What I like on this gimbal, which is active right now, is the AI following. You may notice the red status light. If I now make an 'OK' sign, it goes to green and it follows my face. As I move around in my chair you can't see me but can see the camera moving around to follow me. It follows quickly and accurately. My camera, an OM-5, is not supported as far as camera controls are concerned. However, you do not need full camera controls from the gimbal for it to be useful. You can manually start the recording and then the AI features function independently of the camera controls.
Another feature that I like better about this than my Weebill is the way you can switch between vertical and horizontal. I'm going to turn this off. You loosen this and slide the whole mechanism, there is a release button here, you press this button in, and you can remove the camera. Then you do something very similar here. You loosen the axis, slide it up and the press the silver nub to remove it. You can then take the camera and load it back in here and then you can shoot vertically. You do have to rebalance, which is a little bit of a hassle. I do like the 'idea' of this switching from horizontal to vertical, but again the way you have to rebalance makes it a bit more complicated in practice. With a lightweight camera like the OM-5, the motors can mostly compensate without a rebalancing, but I would suggest doing the rebalancing to prolong the life of your gimbal.
And again, I'm now shooting in a vertical mode and the AI features will follow me in the vertical mode.
Now that we've demonstrated the vertical, we're going to switch back to horizontal shooting which requires some assembly and then we need to do a quick rebalance. Luckily the rebalancing only takes about a minute to complete.
Overall, nice gimbal. There are a few areas that could be matured. The AI features are great, so if you maybe not using as a gimbal, but as a camera turret. A way to go without a camera man and mount this somewhere are use your mirrorless or mid-size camera here to follow you around. It's definitely great.
I am rating this four out of five stars.
Pros
- Ai tracking
- Built-in 'tripod' or mini screw-in tripod options
- Horizontal or vertical shooting modes
Cons
- In practice switching from horizontal to vertical is a little annoying

At first glance, the FeiyuTech Scorp 2 is a seemingly unassuming gimbal that may not look much different than many other similar products out there. Once you get familiar with its features and design, however, Scorp 2’s uniqueness stands out. The Scorp 2 has a built-in sensor that tracks subjects autonomously, which is more than capable of handling its task, as it competently keep up with the movements of the subject, and it is very snappy. But this is nothing new and other gimbals also offer this feature. There’s the trigger and its quick set functions, like double tapping to center the rig, and triple to quickly switch to the selfie mode. Again, this is nothing new, it’s something we have come to expect.
There are little details in the design that make this product stand out. There are adjustable, sliding red dots that mark the balance points of the axis arms so you can quickly snap them into position. And the most stand out design feature has got to be the secondary grip handle that angles up toward the user, behind the main pistol grip. The ability to two-hand hold the gimbal adds to the overall stability of the rig, especially when you have a heavier load such as a mirrorless camera with a longer zoom lens. I found this design so useful and smart, that I’m surprised it’s not offered by all gimbals.
A quick kudos for the gimbal’s namesake “scorpion” legs to enable you to set down the unit without the use of its tripod (with the upwardly turned rear handle it does resemble the menacing arachnid). This is a huge plus, as I often do not want the encumbrance of the extended length while in use.
The battery life is decent, though not something incredible, as it is a 2500 mAh capacity. In my experience, the battery life fell short of the advertised 13 hours of use. But of course the heavier the payload, the shorter the battery expectancy would be. It offers a quick charge via its USB-C port (which is clearly marked for charging), which is nice, but again, expected in 2024. The F2 button on the right side locks the control screen to prevent accidental setting changes, which is a cool feature.
Aside from all of the above mentioned features, FeiyuTech also offers accessosories like wireless follow focus kit that you can attach to this unit as an option, which would make the Scorp 2 even more versatile.
Overall, this gimbal is a highly capable, well constructed, and sturdy piece of equipment. I can think of no better place to start your journey as a videographer than with this gimbal to aid you. By itself, it offers an impressive stability, and when coupled with your camera’s IBIS and post stabilization, the images you get will be rock solid. Scorp 2 is one solid product. Highly recommended.
Brandy
This gimbal had a bit of a learning curve for me, but once I figured it out, it was great. I especially appreciate the multiple ways you can hold it. You can add the removable base to the bottom and have a steady double hand grip on the bottom, or you can have one had on the bottom and the other up above so you can use the joystick and easily access other controls. It’s super easy to switch from front facing to selfie mode and the AI features were fun to play around with

I picked up this FuiyuTech SCORP 2 gimbal to improve the quality of my video shots and it's been great.
Unboxing it, everything I could need it included. Charger cables for every imaginable phone or camera, a small tripod (a built-in one too) and adaptors to mount any camera you may have.
Learning how to use it is fairly easy. The app has a lot of tutorials showing how to shoot various shots and how each function works, and accessing shooting modes is easy from the app, the touchscreen, or the gimbals physical controls. There are plenty of mode options for getting everything from standard stabilized shots to highly creative shooting.
The build quality is great. It has enough weight to it to balance your camera, while not being too heavy to work with for hours. Everything is super solid, from the connection between the gimbal arms to the camera mounting points. Once locked in place, they're not going anywhere. It also locks down into a fairly small footprint for transporting and travel. The controls feel solid and high-quality.
The display makes it simple to access most setup and shooting options quick and easily, and battery life allows for all-day shooting.
Overall, I'm really happy with this gimbal. The SCORP 2 offers a ton of features and great quality at a price that makes it accessible to consumer shooters looking to produce professional results.

Even upon opening, this just looks and feels like high quality, and it did NOT disappoint!
Great premium packaging and all parts were high quality. This gimbal is perfect for the smaller, mirrorless camera category. I have purchased many gimbals to serve different purposes, but I wouldn't hesitate to use this little gem both personally & professionally. I've used it for a few weeks now & it does everything it says it will, AND I keep discovering new little features. When in a pinch, you can definitely push the motors past the weight limit. Solid piece of equipment especially for the price.

Looks like a promising gimbal. However, I can only use the most basic of functions as I can't read the language the menu system is in. Unfortunately there is no mention in the manual on how this might be changed.
I did get it to balance with a C100 MkII, though it is not ideal. This is not the fault of the gimbal, just an FYI. It works ok with the top handle and grip removed. The eyepiece has to be tilted all the way up, and even so, that precludes doing any really low shots as the eyepiece eventually contacts the rear motor. Again, not the gimbal's fault. It wasn't designed to work with this kind of camera, but it is doable on some level. It behaves pretty well within its limited range for this camera. The ideal camera would be a lightweight power-sipping camera with great autofocus.
Balancing was a bit frustrating, but that will get easier as time goes on if I'm ultimately able to use this thing fully.

This gimbal/stabilizer is extremely amazing. Its double handle makes it so easy and comfortable to grab and maneuver! It holds my sony a7iv and 24-70 g master lens with ease! The touch screen panel is game changer and allows you to scroll through the settings and parameters quickly, so you can achieve your desired shot without a problem. It has many custom buttons you can set to your liking, to quickly change between modes and settings. I own a dji RSC 2 and the FeiyuTech SCORP 2 blows it out the water.

Came nicely packaged in a box with a bunch of cords to connect to almost any device. I used my Canon M50 with the 50mm lens. Surprisingly this was one of the easiest to stabilize from other gimbals I used. The AI tracking is easy to turn on and off and tracks very well. I like the handle that can rotate to holding up straight to holding down for low shots. Overall very pleased with this gimbal and excited to go take it on some hikes and family vacations.

The gimbal has a lot of great features and settings. Balancing the gimbal is easier than my previous DJI gimbal. I really enjoy the screen in the gimbal.
The downside is limited battery life, overheating, and components seem cheaply made and not durable. Overall, the gimbal is ok for beginners, but lacks for pro's and excessive use.

The FeiyuTech SCORP 2 3-axis gimbal comes packaged with all the accessories you need to connect a Sony, Canon, Nikon, or Fujifilm camera. I was really surprised at the number of cables and adapters that were included in the box. I've used smaller gimbals designed for smartphones and for compact mirrorless cameras but this is the first "big" gimbal I've tried. I thought it would be intuitive how to set it up and balance it, and spent a good 20 minutes fiddling with it before giving up and busting out the included manual. Surprisingly the manual is quite good and explains both how to setup and balance the gimbal and how to use it's various functions. I was really impressed with the diagrams and explanations of each of the different modes and buttons. After finally consulting the manual, I was able to get the gimbal balanced, calibrated, and start using it in minutes. I really like the versatility of being able to use it with either handle, either upright with the lower handle or holding it lower with the top handle. It seems very ergonomic and is comfortable to hold for several minutes at a time. I haven't tried it with a huge lens, just a 40 f/2.5 and a 16-35 f/4. It worked really well with both of them. This will be a game changer for getting buttery smooth b-roll shots of our products for our YouTube channel and for online video ads. I'm really pleased with the gimbal and definitely recommend it if you are looking for an affordable 3-axis gimbal that can support a large mirrorless camera.
Bob Diff
I own more than a few gimbals including a DJI Ronin. I can balance my camera on this faster than any of my other gimbals.
I love the ergonomics and the way the weight of the gimbal feels while holding it. It feels very balanced and easy to carry which translates to smoother shots. So far the gimbal seems to be rock steady.
I messed around with the AI tracking and was not blown away. I could not adjust the framing after locking onto tracking and that kind of annoyed me but I’m still playing with it. That’s not something I have ever used so it’s not a deal breaker for me.
Paul Antill
For smaller to medium-sized Mirrorless DSLR setups, the Scorp 2 is a surprisingly compact and powerful gimbal. I've owned and tried most other gimbals from DJI and Zhiyun but I had no idea FeiyuTech made camera gimbals, I've only ever tried their phone gimbals in the past. One of its biggest strengths, if you like to shoot like me, is its integrated handle. Right away this looks very similar to the Zhiyun WEEBILL-S which also has a similar design, but the Scorp 2 has a max payload of 5.51 lbs vs 2.96 lbs which is pretty significant. As much as I liked the Weebil S, it often struggled with my A7Siii and a 24-70 lens when used in underslung mode. Especially with faster movements, the gimbal often was overloaded. The Scorp 2 takes that same design but has the power to keep up now.
The Controls take a bit to get used to and the thumb grip isn't ideal for when I want to one-hand this thing upright. The Function buttons are nice to have, but I don't often use them. Instead, the built-in feet have been something I've wanted for several years as it lets me quickly put the gimbal down safely without it tipping over. I film a lot of weddings and this quickly lets me take a break without needing to use a monopod or rely on attaching additional feet and adding even more weight.
I've been playing around with the built-in tracking features and some of its other smartness. Having it built-in is great and is already way more convenient than my DJI RS3's Raven Eye system which aside from the additional cost, setup, and oftentimes bugginess, its smart gestures aren't a gimmick. The fact that I can walk into frame, start tracking, recompose, and stop, all without needing my phone or to touch the gimbal itself, makes this so incredibly useful for when I film myself. I have yet to try this in low light or with tighter focal lengths, though I do suspect that may be where a more traditional option that utilizes the camera's sensor itself, may still win. For general shooting though, super happy!
Again, I was a little hesitant at first given that I had never tried their mirrorless gimbals, and their controls aren't the most ergonomic, but for its size and the other features this packs, it's quickly become my main gimbal. I'm continuing to play around with it and explore its other modes, but this thing is surprisingly fun and reliable.

This FeiyuTech SCORP 2 gimbal is a feature packed powerful workhorse. It is by far the easiest/quickest full size gimbal to balance that I have ever used and it works great. It will work with any camera setup up to about 5.5 pounds which is more than you would want on a handheld gimbal anyhow. You could even put on your little action camera if you wanted to.
Take note that while the gimbal will hold/balance most setups up to 5.5 pounds without using a camera control cable or bluetooth... you MUST to look at the camera compatibility list if you want be able to control (Stop/start, Focus, Zoom, etc.) your actual camera with the buttons/menu on the gimbal itself. The list consists of mostly name brand higher end/popular cameras and each brand/model camera will only allow certain functions from the gimbal controls. For instance my Panasonic GH5 & GH6 cameras will only allow stop/start and half-press focus with cable and my OM-System OM-1 will not work with cable or any buttons. This is how it works with any gimbal from any brand... it's not a big deal using the camera itself to stop and start recording which is what you are going to do 99% of the time.
The Feiyu SCORP app is great with a whole world of functionality for your gimbal settings, simple firmware updates. You can use your cell phone (see video... uses the accelerometer) to virtually control the gimbal based on the tilt/position of your phone which is really cool/fun. There is also built in AI tracking where you can use hand gestures to stop and start the gimbal from following you around... also cool/fun.
This SCORP 2 gimbal is priced right and definitely a worthy purchase if you are in the market for a great gimbal.
Parks N' Tech
This camera gimbal works great and is nicely priced! The overall build quality feels well-made and doesn't feel cheap. It is very easy to set up and get working. The most important thing to remember is to take off all the locks from the motors (and put them back on when not in use). These are important and do a good job protecting the motors.
The built in battery lasts for a good while and doesn't take long to fully charge. It charges via USB-C and a cable is included in the box. You can also charge it from a power bank and it can be used while charging as well, if needed.
The gimbal feels very nice in the hands and isn't too heavy to hold even for an extended period of time. This is a perfect size if you ask me and it's very easy to take with you on the go. I just use the box as my travel kit.
It does a great job stabilizing the footage when walking or running. I know most cameras have built in electronic image stabilization, however, to do that it crops in on the image and sometimes it crops in a good bit, therefore not allowing you to get the full picture. Using something like this will help to provide a nicely stabilized "full image". I used with a good bit of different cameras and it worked just fine, so it is versatile, too.
The app is nicely designed and works just fine on my android phone. There are a lot of different features and settings that can be changed/used in the app to help you make your best videos - this is easy to use and figure out. You don't have to use the app (after you set it up for the first time) if you don't want to, just be sure to read the instructions on the what the different buttons on the gimbal do.
All things considered, I really love this gimbal and I am very impressed they packed this much build quality into a relatively cheap price. If you do a lot of filming or are just in the market for a camera gimbal, I would highly recommend having this one!

The SCORP 2 has a super exciting feature I was happy to learn about and see it in action -- the tracking mode.
Secondly, it is important to me how comfortable the overall operation and the holding the weight of camera and gimbal will be. This review is quite long, however, I could dive into way more details but the review for this purpose must be limited to a certain length, I guess.
The FeiyuTech SCCORP 2 app is my starting point -- before the actual setup.
Just an email address (no pw) was required to start the app. The app includes tutorials, which also can be found by searching on YouTube for the FeiyuTech channel @feiyu-tech. And there look for the SCORP 2 Tutorial Collection video.
Having that video in front of me, I am setting up the SCORP 2.
Setup and balancing are straight forward. It has red markers on the plates to memorize your camera location on the plate in case you remove it -- that is sometimes useful.
For a battery change I just needed to slide the plate including camera off of the arm, no further disassembly necessary since the camera plate is mounted along the lens axis and keeps the battery door accessible.
It is a quick release plate, very easy to attach to the gimbal.
Switching to Vertical shooting mode is quick and easy with that mounting system -- the tutorial video shows that nicely.
The AI tracking and gesture control is a feature I definitely enjoy because I find myself often in a solo creator rolee -- it is a built-in sensor, no further cables necessary, and it reacts to command gestures very fast. Then, tracking is also very promptly. AI tracking is a great feature, and the tracking works fine. Noted, that low-light situation impact the tracking capabilities, but, isn't low-light always a common problem for all camera situations.
As mentioned, the reaction to my moves is super promptly and if I disappear behind another object, e.g. a tree, it will look for me and continues following me after a reappear behind the object, unless I stay too long hidden, then it stopped tracking. Very nice. Distance for tracking is somewhere around 5m maximum as it seems.
What I was testing is face-tracking, and I am very happy with that. I read that I could also track objects, but I couldn't register any object for tracking purposes -- I didn't find any write-ups that explain that feature or even state that it is existent -- so, I do not know at this point in time.
I tested with a Sony a7RV which is compatible with the Bluetooth control feature (no cables needed!) and also with an a7R2 and a6300 that require cable connection. Bluetooth and also cable connections worked just fine.
For Bluetooth and also lens compatibility and limitations there is are PDF charts available for download on the support page.
To me, the handle and the different ways to hold the gimbal allows me to use the gimbal for a longer period without getting too tired -- 2-hand operation is working for me in many situations better than one-handed control. And of course, for filming low angles in an underslung way, the handle allows to do so perfectly, and it is so comfortable at the same time.
The gimbal has a weight of 1070 grams and puts it in a good position amongst competitors. FeiyuTech calls it an upgraded, ergonomically designed handle and I agree, it is easy to operate and hold. My overall impression while unboxing the gimbal was that it is actually lighter and smaller than I thought from looking at the pictures -- but that is subjective.
The weight of the gimbal, compared to compact system gimbals, comes with the more professional features like the grip system and higher payload and clearance features -- of course, not to forget that stronger motors are heavier. So, this gimbal is easy to operate but it is not in the compact, lightweight class, and it is meant for more professional scenarios with heavier equipment. This gimbal is not a gimbal designed for mobile phone or action camera use. The motors are strong enough for a ca. 2.5 kg payload. My setup with an a7RV and a lens is way lighter than the maximum possible.
The touchscreen feature is intuitive and easy to use -- I found using my thumb worked actually just right for the position of the display. Beyond of that, I am using the app a lot for changes in the setup and operation and the app is nice and feature-rich. The phone's sensors e.g. can be used to point the gimbal (i.e. camera lens) to a certain direction. Firmware upgrade also could be done via the app. With Sony, and I cannot speak for other camera brands, I can use the Sony Creator's App to remotely change camera settings as well. The FeiyuTech app has also a camera settings menu, but I haven't figured that out yet, it didn't connect, but according to the Bluetooth combability chart / and cable connection chart it might not be supported for my cameras.
The wheel knob on the side is a favorite feature for me, just because the functionality is programmable, but definitely because it allows so smooth movements, better than the joystick option, I think.
13 hrs of battery power is the manufacturer's statement and I take that like mileage rating for a car -- that is under optimum conditions with an average use scenario. I think it is quite a good battery power and in case you are a heavy-duty scenario user, maybe take 25 percent off of that maximum power reserve just to be safe. But if working in very cold environments there might be another percentage to subtract, time will tell.
I think, the SCORP 2 is very good equipped with this battery power and the charger works at a ca. 20 Watts level to get it recharged (according to my power station).
Stability-wise the gimbal's algorithm does a very good job -- I also prefer to leave the camera's own stabilization on for better results.
The little aileron feet are a mentionable cool design feature since it allows to not install the tripod feet and the gimbal can still be set on a flat surface.
I mounted a field monitor to the gimbal by using a clamp which I attached to the lower end of the grip and also to the horizontal part of the ergonomic handle -- otherwise there's no specific mounting point on the gimbal for accessories. Both positions did work for me, I just was limited due to the coiled HDMI connection cable I used, and which should not pull too much at the camera. For quick and simple scenarios, a flip-monitor on a camera does probably the job as well.
Unfortunately, there's no carrying case or bag included.
I am very happy with the SCORP 2 and can recommend it -- as always, make your own research and find out if that gimbal fits your workflow, works style, and equipment.

If you are looking for Pro Features in an affordable Stabilizer then this might work for you!

Once I got this gimbal properly set up and my camera balanced; the results were impressive.
I got this unit to pair up with my older Canon DSLR and the kit came with several interface cables including the one for Canon.
The features are many, and I recommend watching the videos instead of trying to grok the included manual.
After several test videos simulating real-estate walkthroughs, the quality of the results are night’n’day.
There are so many design details, it definitely shows this is an evolved product: the non-slip epoxy finish, the slide locks preventing your camera from falling off when you reposition it, the ergonomics of the handle, the lightweight construction, the button & port placements, the balance, the handle that opens as a tripod, the fold-out legs, the sliding dots on the rails that help mark the balance spot for my camera. This is a well-thought-out gimbal in so many respects.
The stabilizing performance is impressive. I tested motion videos on the gimbal, with and without enabling camera stabilization. Enabling camera stabilization improved results maybe 10%, but it’s the gimbal that really delivers the smooth, engaging videos.
The gesture-AI function enables smooth lens motion following where I move to. I can walk around highlighting the areas of home while the lens keeps me in focus.
SCORP 2 is an awesome product for the price, you just cannot get the level of quality videos without it.

This gimbal is solidly built, has smooth tracking and the ergonomics are great. One of the main features that attracted me was the ability to set waypoints and have the gimbal move between points. As you can see in the video, the only waypoint that actually goes back to its position is the last one programmed. Otherwise all of the others do not return to their programmed positions. This is super frustrating. Additionally, I wish Feiyu Tech had an option to program settings independently of position. For instance, I would like to have waypoints that are just zoom positions. I’m waiting to hear back from their tech support, but if they can’t resolve the issue with the waypoints it will get returned.

This is my fourth gimbal (OK, maybe I have a bit of a problem with buying too much gear ... but hey, I like toys!). I started with a Crane M2S, which didn't handle my camera very well. I then got an iSteady M6 with an add-on AI tracker to use for my phone, which worked great. I upgraded my main gimbal to a Weebil 3S, which worked really well, but didn't have an AI tracker ... and finally, I've moved to this.
This is going to sound nuts, because every other review is talking about all of the high-tech features this thing has (and they really are great), but the real game-changer for me is something very old-fashioned: the built-in kickstand. WHAT A FANTASTIC FEATURE, so cheap and simple to implement, that completely changes the experience. I don't have to attach a tripod to set it on a table, I can just flip out the feet and set it down. WHY don't more gimbals have this?! I know you're all like "C, it's a $300 gimbal, we don't care about the $5 plastic feet" ... but you should. It's amazing to have, and one of the reasons that this gimbal will probably be the one that ends up in my bag from here on out -- I don't like having to leave a mini tripod attached to my gimbal just so that I can set it down.
Having said that, this thing also nails all of the gimbal functionality as well (which I fully expect for $300). All of the stabilization modes work fine, it has the requisite joystick invert settings (I'm one of "those" people that like my vertical tilt inverted), and it's unflappable in the face of wild motion. In the video I posted you can see my hand literally shaking, because it took my 3 or 4 shots and I was getting pretty tired from single-handing it, and it was still keeping the camera steady with aplomb. The touch screen is a nice touch (har, har, har), and makes using it easier, although I'd recommend a quick browse through the manual to understand the layout of the menus.
Balancing was well documented and I nailed it the first time, no complaints there. The locks work well, the slides all have plenty of range, and it was on the "good" end of the gimbals I've had in terms of balancing and assembly ease ... from a mechanical perspective, it's very well thought-out. Speaking of documentation, the manual is written in clear and good English ... I've had some of these products where you could tell that the docs were written by people who speak English as a second language, but that wasn't the case here.
The included box has a nice foam insert that everything fits into. After getting the (admittedly fancy) bag with the Weebill that is HUGE, I appreciate the compactness of this gimbal and how easy it is to take along. Frankly, I'd rather have the box/foam included with this than the massive bag included with the weebil just because it's easier to tote along ... the obvious downside being that you'll need a separate bag for your camera (which you no doubt already have).
I love this thing. If you buy one, I'm sure you will too.

So far, my impression on this gimbal is fantastic. From set up to filming, the process is extremely simple and easy-going. The motors are very powerful to hold your camera and specific lens while keeping everything super steady.
Balancing the gimbal was a very easy process and the instructional videos linked in the instruction manual are very simple to follow to get your camera balanced. One tip is to balance the camera ready to go without the lens cap on. This changed my balance when I balanced it with the lens cap on so make sure you balanced it without the lens on like you are ready to shoot.
The data cables that it comes with work for all cameras and it’s a simple process to plug-in play and give your camera controls to the gimbal.
The grip with the controls makes it very functional and very easy to use while also giving you plenty of controls when you need it.
I am thoroughly impressed by this and I can’t wait to continue to use it more and figure out more functionality that’s built-in into the gimbal. I’m very excited for this product and the build quality is superb.

The handle and stand system on this gimbal is a game changer. The way it tracks too! This thing is as good as it gets. Just wish it came with a nice carrying case.
