🔥🔥🔥

Can become unsupported at any time

When you purchase equipment at this price point, I believe it is reasonable to expect to treat it as a long-term investment in your studio.

Unfortunately, Focusrite does not agree and would rather allow perfectly good interfaces to become e-waste.

The Scarlett interfaces beyond the 2i2 require Scarlett software (Mix Control, Control, or Control 2) to adjust the mix of the outputs and configure the input pad. While this particular interface *is* supported on macOS Tahoe, Focusrite has decided not to support their older models moving forward, making it impossible to reconfigure those when you inevitably have to upgrade your Mac.

This is a shame because the sound quality was more than good enough for me to record and produce an album and later implement a sound localization system.
