Excellent PTZ Camera — Easy Setup and Works Right Out of the Box

I recently purchased the FoMaKo PTZ Camera 20X Optical Zoom, and so far I am very impressed.
The camera arrived very well packaged, and the included instructions were clear, concise, and easy to follow. Everything worked right out of the box.
My first setup was connecting directly to the camera’s web interface using its IP address. That worked without any problems and gave me access to the camera controls and settings.
My second use was during a RingCentral video call. I initially made the mistake of thinking I needed to connect RingCentral to the camera through its IP address. It is actually much simpler than that. You just connect the camera to your computer using the supplied USB-C cable. RingCentral then automatically recognizes it as a webcam. The same approach should work with platforms such as Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, and other video conferencing applications.
Once connected, you can use the camera’s web interface separately to control the PTZ functions, positioning, zoom, and other camera settings.
I have not had much time yet to experiment with all of the manual controls and advanced features, but based on my experience so far, I am very pleased with the purchase.
One thing I would recommend is planning your audio setup separately. If you are using this camera in a conference room or group meeting environment, consider adding an external microphone and speakerphone or another dedicated conference audio solution. The camera handles the video very well, but you will want the proper audio equipment to complete the setup.
Overall, this has been an excellent purchase. Easy installation, clear instructions, good web-based controls, and seamless USB operation with RingCentral.
