got the controller for Apex but it came used and dirty

the controller is perfect i have ZERO complaints about it i love it. i just dont like that i paid full price for what i thought was a NEW controller and not a used one. the game pass code is gone and cat hair was all over the controller and box plus the controller was slightly dirty. the velcro for the wire has cat hair stuck to it and is impossible to get off so i had to purchase a new one. since the controller is used it does have slightly more stick drift than a brand new one would but its not much so i can deal with it.

I tried the tarantula pro & the G7 pro & I'm going to keep the Tarantula

The only thing I’d change about the Tarantula (besides the color) is I wish it had the same extra bumper buttons that the G7 has, instead of the flimsy “teeter totter” style paddles. The A B X Y buttons on the T are so much clickier & feel amazing. Unlike the mushy buttons on the G7. I don’t know if You’ll be able to get that from the short video but my final decision is obviously the Tarantula.

Stop selling used products.

I paid $76 dollars and you sent to me a used controller, wtf?

Do you think I'm blind or what?

Package is so nasty and Joysticks are dirty, no just dirty they are peeling. I need my money back.

Xbox Series X Compatible and its sweet!

Really love the mouse click buttons. Seems to be durable but will update once I have it longer. So far no issues connecting. It is wired and I didn’t realize it came with a Xbox Gamepass Ultimate month code, super cool. The vibrations and how they have them in the handle and trigger is insane!! I love the feel of the controller since I’m use to ps5 and making the switch since PlayStation is being greedy. Also you get 9* buttons to customize to your liking. (Pictures of controller setting) ***Also download the Gamesir Nexus on your Xbox Store,, NOT YOUR PHONE!!** This controller is compatible with Xbox Series X!

A Good Entry Level Option

If I had to label this controller, I'd call it an entry level, competition, controller. It has a lot of features, but it lacks the polish of the real high end controllers.

This one connects and works well with both PC and XBox. If you want to use all the features, you'll need to do some additional setup, but that's expected when you have so many custom buttons.

It feels okay in your hand from an ergonomics perspective, but feels cheap at the same time. The plastic doesn't feel good and it gives you a real "basic" impression.

The cord length is good, but I can certainly see how some people would want a longer one. It would be great if it was a couple of feet longer. That would help with the people using it on a console in a living room. As it is, it's perfect for most PC setups.

This one performs very well. It's responsive, has no stick drift, and none of the buttons have had any issues with sticking.

If you can't afford the really nice competition controllers, this is a great option.

Honest review

I have 5 gamesir controller including this one. I don't like the buttons by triggers because it feels like you're fighting between the two buttons if you need to hold one down which also make this controller not adaptable between its other controller controller meaning i cant switch to this one and just use it wish it was more like the others with independent button. If they made those buttons the same as shown in picture this controller will be probably better then the others and fully user friendly with their other controllers

A Controller With a Lot Going On

This controller has a lot going on. It comes with extra buttons, including 2 near the bumpers, 2 on the back, and 5 buttons on the front. With that much customization, there's plenty of flexibility for mapping controls to your preferences. The TMR joysticks are another great feature, especially for games like Rocket League and shooters where precise movement is important.

The D-pad is also very responsive. I tested it with fighting games like Street Fighter 6 and Marvel Tokon, and the inputs felt fast and consistent. It has a nice mouse click feel which I personally like. The triggers have a similar clicky feel, but you can switch between the mouse click trigger for faster inputs or a traditional trigger feel when you want more control.

On top of that, and all the additional features you can fine tune your controller with in their program, there's a light strip on the front of the controller that can be customized to difference colors. This is a nice touch for matching the controller to your gaming setup. Overall, this is a good quality product with in-depth customization compared to your standard controller and I would recommend it.

Mid Controller.

The audio jack doesnt work straight out of the box. Still waiting on a response from Gamesir. Would like to have a little more resistance on the sticks and slightly taller.

Solid for its prices

This is a solid controller for the price, though granted gamesir has some solid controllers to begin with, but this one is by far one of my favorites

Responsive, precise and ergonomically comfortable controller

I purchased this GameSir Tarantula Pro as a dual use controller with my Xbox One and PC. My expectations were honestly not super high, but I do like the symmetric playstation style layout so figured I'd give it a try. After receiving it and giving it a try, I was blown away and this rapidly became one of my favorite controllers.

Overall, the quality on this controller feels great. It's a hard plastic controller, but with high quality texturing on all of the control surfaces that you normally grip. After experiencing the way 'soft touch' plastics age, and having had to replace the shells on some of my premium controllers, this was a refreshing, high durability finish for a premium controller. The grips fit great in my hands and I've had no issues with cramping or any other discomfort for long gaming sessions. It's definitely subjective, but the layout on this controller feels just right to me, with the back buttons, triggers bumpers and buttons all in exactly the right place.

One of the things I like the most about this controller is the precise feel of the buttons. The dpad has a fantastic clickiness to it, while also being low effort and precise. I don't have any issues with false diagonals, yet there's just enough freeplay to be able to roll through the diagonal to the next direction to be able to pull off combos in fighting games. The buttons are likewise clicky and precise, with low effort and positive feedback allowing you to press rapidly. I also thought the sticks felt great, with just the right level of resistance and easy to press L3/R3 buttons.

This controller also includes a number of extra features that have become fairly standard on premium controllers, like trigger limits that allow you to switch back and forth between analog triggers with full extension, or short pull, digital triggers. There are also two back buttons that can be mapped to whatever control, each of which also has a lockout to allow you to disable them if you'd rather not use them and accidentally press them. The back also includes an 'M' button that gamesir uses to allow you to switch between different profiles - which is necessary given the huge amount of customization available through their app when you're connected to PC. In addition to the two adjustable back buttons, there are four additional face buttons and an extra set of bumpers, all of which can be mapped with the software. You can also adjust dead zones, trigger modes, trigger vibration, grip vibration (there are 4 vibration motors total), the minimalist LED lighting, and polling rates.

Ultimately, this is an esports controller, so it's probably best suited for use on a PC. Connectivity is limited to wired, which allows for a lighter weight controller with no battery required. This minimizes lag and allows for polling rates up to 1000Hz, while also eliminating interference in a group setting or with a lot of other wireless signals in the area. The included usb-a to usb-c cable is high quality and is a good length, even for some console use. It's also great that the cable isn't integrated with the controller, so you can swap it out if it breaks or you want something longer.

Overall, this is a fantastic controller that feels extremely high quality at a reasonable price. I love the symmetric layout and it's great for playing playstation or console games on PC, and is responsive and precise enough to be great for fighting or racing games as well. I wouldn't recommend it if all you want is a basic console controller, but if any of the advanced features matter to you, this seems like a really solid option.

Very nice to play with

I am impressed by this controller. It feels very well made, and all of the buttons and joysticks feel super nice to play with.

I have gone through quite a few controllers over the years, and the main reason I have to switch is because of drifting issues. Although only time can tell if this controller will run into drifting problems, I have more confidence that this will last because of the anti-drift TMR sticks.

There are a lot of extra things put into this controller that are nice. The lights, togglable triggers, and even a one month Xbox game pass.

Overall, I would recommend.

The d-pad passes my Contra test

Which sounds like nothing, but most modern pads turn a diagonal into a guess, and this one doesn't. Fast direction changes, diagonals mixed in, it keeps up and I'm not losing inputs to it. Whatever they did there, it worked.

Latency is the other reason I'd point somebody at this. Presses land the second you make them, VERY quick. The 1000Hz polling that gets quoted is spec'd for PC though, so I wouldn't assume that same number shows up on an Xbox. And it's wired, no wireless option at all, so there's a cable to run, nothing to charge. Buttons are clicky, micro switches instead of the usual membrane mush, which I like a lot, they're loud enough that I could see somebody across the room getting tired of it.

A good controller for serious gamers

All the specs are correct in the listing. What I can tell you as a gamer, is this controller is top tier and performs as a top tier controller. It can be used with Xbox and PC. The feel, weight, and sensitivity feel very comfortable and flawless. The triggers have dual stops and grips have asymmetric motors, there's 9 remappable buttons to personalize your gameplay to what best suits you. The vibration is consistent and on point with the gameplay. The reaction time to the whole controller is top tier and it comes with a month free of Xbox live (to new subscribers)

All the Bells and Whistles You Want But Didn't Know You Needed

This right here might be the most elite GameSir controller I have ever used. And I've been using their controllers since the very first model. Now one thing just to keep in mind is that this is a wired controller. Not a problem to me because I'm an old school gamer and I sit really close to the TV anyways.

If you kind of want a PlayStation style controller for your Xbox, this one really does the job well. The controller itself just feels excellent on its own. Every button, trigger, joystick, and d pad is just pure comfy, quick and smooth.

Then you add in all the extra button if you can program on this controller and you never have to take your thumbs off the sticks. It's even got the switches to lock the triggers so that they are quick action. Really does make a big difference on FPS games.

If that wasn't enough, using the GameSir software to really dial in your experience to make every single action of the controller uniquely balanced for you. I mean you can adjust the joysticks, the triggers, the color scheme, and every single button on the controller. And they have a bonus of I believe nine extra buttons that can be programmed to whatever you want.

So this is definitely a fantastic controller on Xbox Series X. Especially if you're looking for that PlayStation style grip for your pad. But really, where all these extra buttons shine even more is when using it on PC. Because all those programmable buttons, they can be any key on the keyboard to even the mouse as well. So this is sweet for when I want to take either an old game on PC that doesn't have proper controller settings. Or maybe just was never made with a pad in mind. So I can bind all those keyboard controls to the controller. And in the software, I can have four different profiles for games.

Then the other awesome thing too is if you want to program say quick save or quick load to one of those top option buttons. I can put F5 and f6 right there. The possibilities are really endless on how much program are you can put into this controller. Which if you're using this for a retro console emulation setup, there's a lot of buttons you can program on this controller for all sorts of other actions.

Which might be almost too much bells and whistles for most people. But if you really want to just have everything dialed in the way you want it. This controller is pure fantastic! And when I go back and forth between my Xbox and my PC the controller remembers all the settings that you mess with in the software. Pretty darn awesome.

Quality controller from Gamesir

Absolutely great controller. I was looking forward to this release because this is the first Xbox licensed Gamesir controller to have a symmetrical stick layout, which I prefer over the normal Xbox layout. You get all the great features of a G7 Pro including the micro switch face buttons, 2 back and 2 shoulder buttons, TMR sticks, hall-effect/micro switch triggers, as well as a better d-pad than the G7 Pro. I play R6 mainly, so the four extra face buttons aren’t of any use to me, but I can imagine they would be extremely useful for fighting games. I loved my first controller from Gamesir, the G7 Pro, and I am the opposite of disappointed with the Tarantula Pro.

Great Controller!

At first I was hesitant to grab this controller. I usually play with an Elite 2 controller but I decided to try this one. Let me say, it is definitely better than I anticipated. The controller itself has a surprisingly sturdy build quality. The buttons and triggers feel amazing, in fact I’d say these buttons are better than on my elite 2 controller. It’s more ergonomic, similar to a PS5 Controller in length and style and overall a great feeling device. My only gripe is that it’s wired, I feel like it would be a very good competitor to the Elite 2 controller if it were wireless but overall it is still a great controller!

A little pricey but otherwise a great controller

I've been using other controllers from GameSir for quite some time now and when I saw this Tarantula Pro come up on Vine, I knew I had to try it.

Like my other GameSir controllers, this one is very comfortable in my hands and has a nice tactile feel on the grips, not slippery-slick like some other controllers I've tried in the past. It is wired, which my preferred option, as I hate worrying about whether or not my controller is going to run out of juice on me at an inopportune time.

I played 3 games with this new controller, about 30 minutes each, just to run it thru its paces and found it to be very responsive, precise and predictable. All of the buttons and triggers are where you'd expect them on a Playstation-style controller. It has quite a few programmable features (9 re-mappable programmable buttons) but I very seldom do any custom programing so it's not a feature that I can really comment on with any authority but they're there if you want/need them.

Bottom line is that this is a well engineered controller that feels comfortable and responsive in your hands, and while I do feel it's a bit overpriced, it can be a good all-around choice.
