Extremely easy to use and set up for beginners. This would make a great gift for anyone who wants to get involved with detection. It has pinpoint accuracy which saves a lot of digging.. great price and is built well. I love that it’s so portable. Fits right in the included backpack and it has included headphones and a small e-tool for digging.

We bought this for beach trip last fall. It worked as expected and we did find some junk on the beach. No treasure like the kiddo hoped. Easy to use and a fun way to pass the time on the beach!

I’ve always wanted a metal detector and man. This definitely meets the expectations and are a super affordable to be honest with you. It works great and I have found many awesome little junk treasures yet to find my gold coin or anything like that but definitely fine and will continue use it over and over.

This metal detector is not good it does not find gold! I put about 10 grams of 18k sold gold on the floor and it didn’t make a sound.

Package was well shipped, lot of false readings in my yard, still learning how to use it, one reading was a 90, don't know if lead or silver, will take it to an expert, most of my reading show the rocks, I live in Florida, lot of rocks in yard.

👋💬 INTRO: I've always been on the lookout for fun, educational outdoor activities and have tried my fair share of "kids' gadgets." Most ended up collecting dust after a week. But I've always been fascinated by treasure hunting, and I wanted to share that excitement with my neighbor's kids. We had tried a few metal detectors before, but they were either too complicated or too heavy. After trying a few other toy metal detectors that barely worked, I decided it was time to invest in something better. When I came across this kids' waterproof metal detector, it seemed like a great balance between quality and ease of use. I was impressed by its professional design, waterproof feature, and adjustable height, It promised to be a reliable tool for outdoor adventures, and I hoped it would live up to its claims. I'm excited to share my thoughts on it, so... LET'S GOOOOO!

👍👎 MET EXPECTATIONS / WORTH IT?
• ⚠️ OVERALL RATING: 😁 🙂 *😐* ☹ 😞
◦ 😁 / 5 stars: Absolutely flawless or very close to it. I'd enthusiastically recommend it to anyone.
◦ 🙂 / 4 stars: Performs admirably, but there's room for some small improvements. I'd still suggest it to others.
◦ 😐 / 3 stars: Does the job, but with notable issues or significant improvements needed. It's a decent option, but looking into alternatives might be wise. Alternatively, it's just average—neither remarkable nor terrible.
◦ ☹ / 2 stars: Just barely gets the job done; I'd advise exploring other choices.
◦ 😞 / 1 star: Not worth your money or time; worked very poorly or not at all.
• 💰 YES. In my opinion, this metal detector is worth the investment. This metal detector is reasonably priced considering its quality and features. Compared to other kids' outdoor toys that often get forgotten after a few uses, this has provided hours of entertainment. The quality and features you get for the price are impressive, especially considering it comes with accessories like a trowel and carrying bag.
• 💰 Compared to other metal detectors on the market that may be cheaper, less effective toy detectors, this one offers much better performance and durability. It's a good investment for family fun and educational purposes, and it one stands out for its kid-friendly design and ease of use.
✔️❌ PROs & CONs
• ✔️ I like its (albeit all-plastic) design, comfortable telescopic arm, and ergonomic grip for kids.
• ✔️ I also like that it is made of durable ABS plastic.
• ✔️ It is easy to carry, lightweight, and has a water-resistant rating of IP68, making it great for outdoor use in various conditions like trips to the beach.
• ✔️ I could adjust the height from 24 to 35 inches.
• ✔️ It did come with a convenient carry bag and digging tools.
• ✔️ The bright and clear LCD display *should have been* easy to read but mine was NOT working.
• ✔️ The product description said that it has an enhanced search range and adjustable sensitivity detects metals up to 8.7" deep.
• ✔️ The product description also said that it should be easy to use with a depth indicator, pinpoint function, and adjustable light, but I didn’t get to experience or use any of that since my LCD screen was malfunctioning so the entire metal detector didn’t work.
• ❌ It would be nice if it came with a few more detailed instructions or tips for beginners.
• ❌ While not a major issue, the battery life could be longer for extended treasure hunts. It would be nice if it came with rechargeable batteries instead of disposable ones.
• ❌ While it's great for beginners, older kids or more serious detectors might outgrow its capabilities.
🧐💖 WORKS AND EASY TO USE?
• 🧐 YES & NO. Setting it up was NOT as easy as I thought. All I really had to do was screw the handle into the base, insert the included battery, turn it on, and perform a couple of simple calibration steps according to the User Manual. The instructions *weren’t* that clear and I had a *hard* time removing the screw from the back battery cover because the screw seemed stripped and I couldn’t seem to get it to budge. Eventually it turned, but then because the screw is so tiny and I didn’t have a magnetized Phillips head screwdriver to hold onto it, my fingers were fumbling with it try to hold it steady and first get it screwed in partially to the battery cover itself and *then* into the anchor hole.
• 🧐 I never got to see the interface, where the simple LCD display SHOULD have shown a rotating dart icon when metal is detected and the detector should have given me a vibration alert. The depth indicator and pinpoint function would have been cool to see and use, along with being able to adjust the sensitivity for more precise searches.
• 🧐 The adjustable height and lightweight design made it easy for me and kids to handle.
• 🧐 The waterproof coil meant that we should be able to use it at the beach or in the garden without worrying about damage. The carrying bag made it easy to take on the go. That was about the only positive thing in my experience.
🔍📝 SUMMARY & CONCLUSION: 😁 🙂 *😐* ☹ 😞
Overall experience: Neutral.
Mood: Somewhat dissatisfied.
Reason: Overall, I'm thrilled with this metal detector and my experience has been great. It's durable, functional, sturdy, user-friendly, and designed with young explorers in mind. It's turned our outdoor excursions into exciting treasure hunts, keeping my neighbor's kids active and engaged. Whether we're at the beach, in the park, or just in our backyard, it's always an adventure. The combination of durability, ease of use, and genuine functionality makes it stand out from typical kids' toys and they actually look forward to using it to see what they can find.
It's great that the grip is comfortable and ergonomic and that it has a telescopic arm to adjust for height. Being made of ABS plastic means that it was lightweight and solid making it easy to carry and use. Other great features include its adjustable sensitivity, bright and clear LCD display, enhanced search range, and that it can detect metals up to 8.7” deep. And it's really easy to operate, even without the instructions. It is versatile and can be used in various environments like in gardens, on lawns, sand, etc. We found it to be engaging and very fun.
So if you're looking for a fun, high-quality, kid-friendly, reliable metal detector, I recommend this one. It's a fun and educational activity for your little treasure hunters. 🏴☠️🔍🔦 🌟

Overall I have been enjoying this metal detector so far. It has a few different settings and is easy to use for beginners. I also like that its waterproof so I can take it to the beach. Larger metal objects will set off a higher fequency number and have a larger ranger while smaller objects such as a coin will have a narrower range. It seems that items like gold and copper will set off a lower number while silver or steel objects will set off a higher number. It is an interesting activity, effective to get your whole family outdoors.

Fast shipping! This metal detector is the perfect gift for my boyfriend, a dedicated fan of the Oak Island treasure hunting show for 10 years. He loves it so much that he couldn't wait to try it out, even when it was already dark outside.

This is a great metal detector. Very easy to use. I just turned it on with no sensitivity adjustments. The top row on the screen displays the probable type of metal and approximate depth to dig. Its very sensitive. I like it has a pin point button for the exact spot to dig, and the coil is larger than most metal detectors, 11 inches by 9 inches, and it is waterproof. Comes with batteries, earphones, a folding shovel, and carry bag. Everything you need. I recommend this metal detector.

The metal detector I ordered, and received, is nothing at all like the one that is now pictured under this item ID. I think someone pulled a switcheroo, giving out cheap child's toy metal detectors to VINE members, and then after getting good reviews, all without pictures, decides to switch out the product description and images for a higher end metal detector. I would have loved to have receive the metal detector now pictured and described by the current product description, but the photos I have included show you what I ordered and received. Now, for a kids toy, the product wasn't bad. It should have had much better water proofing, as a child is going to want to use it outdoors, and even a small amount of water would kill this device. If it was still listed as the $30 child's toy, I'd give it five stars. But for a $150 advanced hobbyist detector, what I received is only worth two stars. Truth in advertising, or it will cost you.

I love this whole set up! The unit goes together quick and easy and comes apart fast as well for easy storage! It comes with a cool pick and shovel multi tool that has a bottle opener and saw built in. Also comes with a nice backpack carrying case for everything plus ample room to add treasures you find too. I forgot to add in the pictures but it also has headphones so you can keep your treasure quite. In summary this is a well built package to get you into metal detecting, the only thing else you need is a pocket wand detector to make finding your treasures easier while diging. A plus I would definitely recommend!!!
