Non standard plumbing fittings for home or seaflow toilets

Non standard parts, the female and male connections are larger than the ones on my coleman rv and seaflow toilet. I have installed bidets on both of my home toilets and had no issues, i took one of my home bidets and installed it on my campers seaflow toilet and the plumbing connections fit fine. I did have to drill a 1/8"

hole in each of the round mounting discs but that was an eazy task.

This bidet looks like a nice one but will not work with standard home or rv plumbing.

Leaks

Leaks, I even tried water tape and it still leaks. The water supply tube is fine but the small rubber tube that attaches to the handle of the bidet just slips on and doesn’t secure that is where it leaks from

Tabs crack off, then seat, moves.

Worked well for a while. Now, too little tabs have broken and the seat moves around. It didn’t set even on the toilet from the very beginning durability is pretty weak. Doesn’t take much to break those little tabs.

Used Bidet....

Received used bidet.. Absolutely disgusting! Outside package cut up and inside packaging ripped open and used. The sprayer part has either urine or crap on it and top of bidet has marks/stains from being attached to the toilet. Not cool and so gross...

Life Saver After Shoulder Surgery!

I am so glad I purchased this! As I was preparing to have rotator cuff repair surgery, and realizing my dominant arm would be immobilized for the next few months, I realized personal hygiene would be an issue so I started looking into bidets. This bidet toilet seat attachment works perfectly since it is a left-handed attachment. It was easy to install, and leaves plenty of room on the side of my toilet where the toilet paper roll is also located. It has a low profile so there has not been an issue with the lid opening or closing. The price was also very reasonable. I’m so grateful I bought this!

Left-handed cleaning machine.

Husband is having shoulder surgery and will be without the use of his right arm for at least 6 weeks. This is the only contribution to helping clean his derrière that I am willing to make. He is going to need an effective left handed cleaning option. This fits the bill perfectly. The additional “travel” Bidet that was included was a nice surprise.

This was a straight forward installation (for me with two hands) and is easy to use with one hand tied behind your back. I hope he will be careful not to turn the handle fully as you can see from the video the spray can be fairly forceful.

It is unobtrusive in its design and includes different handle finishes to match any decor. Overall on day one- I am very happy with this purchase.

a precise, attractive, well-made bidet - SUPERB

For 15 years, we've had a "bidetmatic" purchased in Argentina, where bidets are a part of everybody's bathroom. Argentinians take their bidets seriously, and they have a separate bidet, which is the size of a toilet next to the toilet. The bidetmatic was their solution to creating an attachment for smaller bathrooms or people who just didn't want an entirely separate appliance in their bathroom.

For the past several decades, I've had some serious GI problems, and as a result of this, I became a fundamentalist user of the bidetmatic, struggling mightily whenever I had to travel to places that did not have a bidet.

So when my right arm was immobilized due to surgery, I was in crisis, unable to use my right-handed bidetmatic. I read all the reviews online and concluded that this was the one. Genie Bidet was going to join our household. Living with a right-handed bidet but in need now of a left-handed bidet I had to make the shift. After 15 years of faithful service by my bidetMatic, I upgraded reluctantly.

The genie bidet attachment immediately stood out as an attractive addition to the toilet, not just a mechanical functional industrial attachment like my Argentinian model. It uses a different approach than the Argentinian one, which is a metal swing arm variety. The genie bidet is one that shoots water from the back of the toilet forward. I was skeptical about its aim, but I've since learned that it is spot on.

To cut to the chase, this new bidet is a huge benefit to me with my arm in a sling for the next 2 1/2 months and a surprisingly upscale and attractively functional addition to our bathroom. It is effortless to use, provides a great focused stream of water that hits the bullseye every time, and has an easy-to-use and attractive handle perfectly positioned for my left hand. My initial panic about going three months without a bidet is over

I always intended to use this temporarily until my right arm was better, at which point it was going to be my intention to switch back to the original bidetmatic from Argentina for nostalgic reasons. But this one is such a significant upgrade to the older model that I can't imagine switching it back at this point. Now, the discussion in my head is whether to replace the other Argentine bidetmatic in the other toilet with another one of these models. The prices are good enough that the temptation is high.

I did struggle with my genie bidet installation. The unit comes with the proprietary water line hookups and t-valves that are both attractive and I presume quite functional. But that would require a full replacement of all water lines to the toilet, and given that I had a tight squeeze back there and one arm that didn't work, this was going to be a big effort. I can see that If you are starting from scratch in that, this is your first bidet attachment such that you currently only have one water line going from the main to the toilet, then using their proprietary hookups would be precisely what you want to do even though it requires emptying the water tank during your installation. The installation is not that difficult, and within 20 minutes, the average person would be able to do the job themselves even if they've never done such a job before.

But in my case, I was replacing an older bidet with this one and, moreover, doing it with one hand. Because I was doing a replacement, I already had the T valve installed, and with water lines that were at least several decades old, I was concerned about messing around if I didn't need to. It took me approximately $15 and a trip to the hardware store to Frankenstein a dedicated connection between the T valve I have on my main and the new bidet. See photo. This installation requires a water line hose and two adapters to connect to the bidet. Thus, I bypassed the replacement of the line to the toilet altogether....and voila. a one-handed replacement.

In other words, although Genie Bidet provides proprietary water lines, they don't provide a simple water line option that would hook from the water main to the bidet directly without going through the T valve

Once I got all the pieces I needed from the hardware store, the installation itself took 5 minutes, and it has been pure bliss ever since.

I am completely sold now on this bidet, and when my arm is better, I'll replace the other one in the other bathroom, and the old bidets will get cleaned up and brought to the thrift store.

A superb product with GREAT personalized customer service.

UPDATE: everyday I love this bidet more and more. I'm about to buy another one for the other bathroom.

Very useful after Right shoulder surgery

I had shoulder replacement on my right side which is my dominate arm so I deliberately got the left handed item. I didn't want to have to have a family member assist me in the bathroom so this has been very helpful. It makes clean up much easier and of course I'm using less toilet tissue.

It was very easy to assemble but I didn't have the proper tools or the strength to attach it to the water supply so I had to call a plumber to install it. I'm very pleased with the way it operates.

Best self care purchase made for bathroom!

7 weeks ago I had rotator cuff surgery on my dominant arm (right) so I started preparing with my left to do the job. I’m a 59 yo female and this little gadget made my experience on the potty for poos so much better. I use half the toilet paper. Guys may not like it cause it uses cold water, but for women it’s perfect cause my daughter in law loves it especially when she has her period. I know this is a lot of detail, but if you are a woman you need this! I installed myself in 10 minutes. Follow the directions and don’t over tighten stuff or use plumbing tape. It works perfectly and never leaks. You can control the water pressure with the handle by turning it bit by bit. I literally said where have you been all my life after using it for the first week! All American women get one! You’ll save on toilet paper and have a cleaner potty! Just love it and they have it in both left and right hand models!

You have to be careful when putting the metal nut onto rhe plastic ring in the photo #1

When my husband had a shoulder replacement it was very handy !

Amazing

So far so good. Installation was a a bit of a pain but fast and easy ironically.

Saving in toilet paper and the fact that it’s more clean to take a shot of water then dry paper.

The pressure is control and feels strange at first but you’ll get use to it.

Wonderful

Works as expected. For us was a bit hard to install because of limited space behind the toilet, but other than that, works great!

Easy install! Water pressure is not overwhelming!

This is my second bidet and have to say, this one is a total upgrade from my previous LuxxeBidet, which always sprayed water way too hard. This Genie bidet has easily adjustable pressure that doesn't hurt! Love this purchase.

After a few months, still doing the job

I will not go without having a bidet ever in my life. This is a life changer. Purchased one for my mother-in-law and she loved it. I like the idea that you can change the color on the ring around the handler.

Gets the Job Done!

I purchased this bidet kit because my husband was having surgery and would be unable to do regular cleansing. I watched the video before installing, and it was very helpful. However, I must warn you that the video used a different model than I ordered, so I had to figure out the differences but that didn't take long. I am a middle-aged woman with no prior experience, and the only difficulty I had was having the strength to loosen the bolts that were already on the toilet. Once I used the right tools, it was a breeze to install. Word of warning, do not turn the handle on while the toilet lid is open (or not sitting on it) as the water will gush straight out of the toilet and soak everything. (I learned the hard way! lol) As for the cleansing, it does what it's supposed to do -- not too forceful, but solid enough to get the job done. As a bonus, it came with a travel bidet. Highly recommended!

Ease of installation and ease of use.

Having shoulder surgery in a couple of days and needed a left operational bidet since my right shoulder will be in a sling for 6 weeks. Wow Genie Bidet to the rescue!! So easy to install and all the fittings and tubing you need is included. Instructions are easy to follow and the video is helpful also. Just to double check it's installed correct. So if you are having surgery on your left or right shoulder don't forget Genie Bidet since they make left and right sided toilet units. Happy cleaning.

Left side model available!!!

GenieBidet LAB3000 left hand. Easy to install, low profile, with a gentle yet effective water stream. The 4 different colored trim rings are a nice touch. One of the few left-side mount units available on the market. Lightweight plastic construction, recently installed so it's too soon to tell yet on it's longevity.

Installed on my Rv toilet

I put a Bidet on my house toilet and loved it so I wanted it on my rv toilet too. Genie was one of the few with a left hand model which was needed due to the wall . I could not use the enclosed tee since the rv toilet uses 1/2" connection instead of the standard toilet 7/8" but this was no problem to use a pvc tee and a1/2" to1/8" reducer bushing for the supply line. The thin design worked perfect with my seat. The big advantage to the bidet in the RV is I could not flush butt wipes into my black tank so I had to use a doggie bag for disposal.. yuck. Now that problem is gone!

Easy -Quick- and including all you need!

This product was so easy to install. Love the option they offer on Left OR right hand. I'm having right rotator cuff surgery- a YouTube video suggested this Bidet since for months I'll only have use of one hand- my left! Only problem I ran into was using my original water hose- it leaked- not sure why- it didn't before. Exchanged with the water hose they provided & viola no leak! Easy fix! Never used a bidet before- so this is an experience! The ease of using this bidet is going to be a great help! Very satisficed with this product.

Terrible design

I tried to install but could not. My neighbors came to help and 2 hours later it was apparent that this bidet will not fit my toilet. It is layed on the toilet and I can use it by moving all around to try and get the water to hit correctly. It is cheaply made and poorly designed. A waste of money.

Awesome!

I never knew what I was missing. I got this in preparation of having right hand surgery, so I ordered the left-handed model.

So easy to install and use.

I love this. I feel so much cleaner.
