Cute story and illustrations! A new favorite.

The book came bent on the bottom corner. I requested a replacement and it came the next day.

This book is so cute. My son loves that the cover glows in the dark. The book is about a little ghost that is afraid of the dark. Each one of his friends assure him there is nothing to be afraid of. Boo, the ghost, learns to be brave and overcome his fear of the dark. In doing so, he discovers a new talent he has of glowing. I love the illustrations as well. Very good quality book.

Great Spooky Season Book

What an awesome story line!

Lots of rhyming makes it fun to read aloud.

Ghoul is cute!

Giving it a 4 because the illustrations are adorable but otherwise I would only give it 3. Reasons: 1.) I see a lot of reviews that talk about it arriving damaged and well, my first one did and I immediately within the hour ordered a replacement and that one took a day longer to arrive and was worse. Why were neither packed to protect?! Also I’m pretty fed up with sellers that don’t heed reviews. Sure we consumers all read them to help make an informed purchase but sellers should be paying attention and improving their product. 2.) This is not a board book, believe I also read that a few times in reviews as well. Board books are thick hard to destruct books but not in this case. I would say it’s more of a thick card stock with a coated paper and the coated part is very tissue like and easy to peel off. Case in point, all of the pages are pretty pressed together, and I wanted to make sure all of the pages were present as I read in the reviews by a few different consumers, that they received extra pages that were blank. While trying to separate them, I could see how easy it was to scuff the sides and peel a little bit of the paper. I’m not sure how this passed quality control before the publisher printed these books, kind of sloppy in my opinion. Again, this could be resolved if the publisher read the reviews and made improvements to their product.

I will say, I saw a lot of loose complaints about their not being glow-in-the-dark pages. If you read the cover closely, it says the cover is glow in the dark.

This was purchased for a gift so it’s hard to overlook blemishes and while they may be minor in some cases (not my replacement as the binding was peeled back) I would expect more of both publisher aka seller, as well as printer.

First 3 images are the replacement and the 4th is the original I received. Looks like I will be returning the replacement instead of the original after all.

Cute story but doesn't glow

The only thing that glowed was the ghost on the cover. Even under a flashlight and a blacklight there was nothing glowing in the book so it's definitely not as expected or mentioned. However the story was cute and still kept my toddler entertained.

ADORABLE STORY

A MUST BUY! Halloween is my favorite holiday so i was looking for some fun books for my 2 year old to get us in the spirit. out of the 4 i purchased, this was by far my favorite. the illustrations are sweet. the rhymes are fun. the message is great for littles that are afraid of the dark. AND it glows in the dark! this will for sure be a staple in our house for years to come!

Paid for a new book, was shipped a used one.

Child’s Favorite Book

My son asks me to read this to him every night. He loves this book! He loves that Boo glows in the dark. He lives the cat friend. He loves the spooky friends. He also loves Boo as a character. He was scared of the dark and now he has a better understanding that others can be scared too and that is okay. You have your friends and family there to support you when you are scared. He cannot read it himself quite yet, but I am teaching him the smaller words. A must buy for your child.

It’s a cute book, unfortunately my copy has a duplicate page with blank, unbound pages between them. Other than that, it’s a good book.

Incredibly illustrated

I adore the illustrations of this book. The colors are so fun and vibrant. I love the attention to detail in every page, the background objects included. It’s a fun book for toddlers to enjoy during October. My 4 year old and 2 year old really enjoyed when I read it to them. It’s a silly plot that makes you feel good while reading it. I appreciate that it has some repetition because that’s how my son memorizes pages. I tested to see if the front cover actually glowed and it did. It glows pretty bright and I can tell that was my sons’ favorite part.

Cover doesn't glow but a great book

Great book to teach kids about overcoming fear. The illustrations are amazing, I'm obsessed. I took off a star because it doesn't glow in the dark but other than that I love the book & sure my baby will too when shes older.

Such a disappointment!

I waited for almost 2 weeks to receive this book and was looking forward to receiving this book because of all the great reviews, but I was left greatly disappointed! The book came "very used-looking" and not brand new at all. The inside looks and feels yucky too! I felt this is not true to the product description so I will be returning it!!

Great story and illustrations!

Great book for Halloween 🎃 the message is to be brave, to seek help when you can't do it alone, and to just have fun in the process of self growth. I really enjoyed the art. The rhymes were fun to read. It was fun to make the monsters voices 👻

Good for anytime of the year!

My toddler is very much into Halloween, skeletons, and spooky stuff year round. This book was a great addition to our collection. He loved the glow in the dark cover (see photo). We love books that rhyme, and with this one, I incorporated different voices for each character (witch, Frankenstein, Dracula, werewolf, and mummy) which he thought was funny. I expected the story to end after he wasn’t afraid anymore but to my surprise it went on for several pages with him throwing a party. I hate it when kids books are too short (like only a handful of pages) so I was glad this had a good story. The board book is also bigger in size than most board books so this will last a while and was such a great deal!
