Works but the head of the lamp does not stay in place. Even when tightened, the head still slides downward. Very annoying 😑

Poor quality. Don’t waste your money

Mount for desk is terrible. Doesn’t mount flat so the lamp wants to lean or sway to one side. Also, on one of the lamps I purchased, it has issues with the wiring and slowly dims, gets bright again and repeats.

Great lighting and very practical

I’m very happy with this lamp. It provides bright, clear lighting, perfect for detailed work. The adjustable arm is sturdy and easy to position, and it stays in place without loosening.

The design is modern and clean, fits well on a desk, and doesn’t take up much space. The light is even and comfortable on the eyes, making work much easier. The base is stable and the overall quality feels solid.

Perfecta iluminación y diseño moderno 💡

Me encantó esta lámpara, tiene una luz muy potente pero agradable a la vista, ideal para trabajar o hacer uñas sin cansar la vista. Su diseño es elegante, minimalista y combina con cualquier espacio. El brazo ajustable permite dirigir la luz justo donde se necesita. Excelente calidad por el precio, totalmente recomendada.

Wears out and breaks while sitting quietly by itself

I bought this in July 2022, three years ago. It felt cheap but it worked acceptably - until now. It fell apart while sitting there. A critical plastic component which had not been unduly stressed suddenly collapsed into shattered fragments and the small pieces slithered down my couch. The riveted metal brackets holding it into place prevent convenient repair. If the metal parts had screw fittings, it would be easy to print a replacement part. However, this lamp will likely need to be thrown away.

Good light

I love this, I am hemiplegic and it’s light weight, and I can easily clamp it on where I need light . At first I couldn’t get the shade to click in , it doesn’t look like it will hold but once it clicks in its fine. I like incandescent bulbs and and this works great.

Missing and broken parts!

(No stars awarded on "Brightness"... Item does not include a bulb, so this does not apply.)

I ordered one of these, and it arrived with the plastic bit connecting the lamp socket to the arm broken... Completely useless.

I installed a bulb and turned it on... it worked. I extended the arm... and it fell right back down. Turns out BOTH lamps I received were missing the two tension springs on the upper arm shown in the illustrations on the web page, and on product packaging! ( First photo shows the packaging photo of the product, with the two upper arm springs in place. Second photo shows where the springs SHOULD be. )

No amount of tightening the tension knob, even with pliers, makes it hold position. And it gets worse...

I contacted Globe directly. The CSR was very nice, and told me they would ship replacements.for BOTH lamps. When they arrived... both of the REPLACEMENT lamps were ALSO missing the top two springs.

This product is worse than useless... it turned out to be a complete waste of time and money. There is a total lack of effective quality control. I'm asking for a full refund.

EtA: Today (Feb. 16 2024) I received two MORE lamps from Globe.

They are ALSO missing the top springs!!

I'm now up to 6 unusalble lamps.

Worth lamps I had ever

These are the worst lamps I could ever have, I work as a nail technician and light is very important for me when working. These lamps are the worst thing I could come across, they filed and could not be fixed for my work, you can see it on the video, the holder eventually did not hold the lamp at all and it fell on my client; it was a very embarrassing situation for me as a master and after that I can not work with this lamp at all, and the second one is barely holding on. I know it's been 4 months since I bought it but it didn't last very long and I want to return it because it shouldn't be like this. My passed lamps remained in another city and I worked on them for 4 years and they were still in working condition.

The clamp is the worst!! Lamp is great

The lamp itself is absolutely awesome. The clamp? Is the biggest piece of garbage I’ve ever seen in my life it’s made of cheap plastic. When you put your lamp in it it just spins in circles. There’s nothing to clamp it down or to hold it in place and there’s a good chance It’s going to snap in half for me so I’m gonna have to buy a different clamp for all the lamps I bought which is a shame because the lamp itself is awesome. !! to bed. Too bad they don’t have one made of metal to clamp it to instead of this plastic thing. I’m still gonna buy more of them for painting but I’ll have to buy other clamps

nice lamp but VERY delicate

UPDATE : now its Number in 3 years. Once again the knuckle that attaches the lamp to the arm snapped off. I was extremely careful with this one in adjusting and tightening the lock screw. This lamp is used daily and the head does get moved maybe 3 or 4 times a day. If I could find an alternate that amde sense on size and cost I would not go through this.....a shame really. The rest of the parts work well such as the arm mechanism, clamp and lamp head. ~~ Bought (2) of these 2 years ago. (1) over my desk and (1) over a bench. The (1) over bench is still ok as I never adjust the hood. The (1) over the desk I adjust daily as it gets used daily and this level of activity caused the adjusting joint to Break. I replace it and try to be gentle with it - and have just snapped my THIRD one in 2 years. Design defect or type of plastic used for the adjusting joint. See photo.

perfect until the head broke while trying to adjust it. it's full of very long sensitive plastic parts.

edit: i reached out to globe’s customer support and they ended up sending me a new lamp, same model but newer make. thank you, globe electric.

Perfect for my needs!

I like this desk lamp for my gaming setup. I also use a smart bulb in it as well so I can change the color. Setup was easy and it's pretty sturdy for the price I paid. I would definitely recommend for work or play!

Sturdy, but inexpensive desk lamp for computer screen backlighting, reading, maybe sewing, etc.

Very solidly built with metal rather than plastic. My only reservation is that the head does not turn a complete 360 degrees ... maybe 300 degrees. I have used similar lamps light this for over 20 years with an Ott bulb next to my computer. Most of the time it provides a backlight for my screen that is easy on the eyes. Occasionally I turn it down to face something I am reading or transcribing. That works well. But when it does not turn around enough to backlight the wall unless I swing it sideways. I probably would have gone for red to get away from the monotonous black of most computer equipment.

It provides light where I need it without any problems.

I read some poor reviews on this lamp. I've had it for a couple of months now and it has worked out fine. i use it on a desk with an overhang above me. (A TV sets on the overhang.) I pull it out or push it in to where I need light. Everything works fine on it.

I've had this lamp for about 2 years. It was worked without any problems during this entire time. It clamps onto one of my desks, and I use it most days. It has one of those florescent bulbs in it. I moved last fall, and the lamp moved with the desk. I even have the same bulb in it that I 1st put into it.

This thing really gets moved around nearly every time that I use it. I use it in a limited space, where it doesn't have a lot of room to arc around. But it constantly being pushed bach and forth and up and down. No problems.

People have complained about the base clamped to my desk. I have not had any problems with the base. It has held firmly.

I am in the process of ordering a 2nd one for the laundry area.

Clamp broke!

I bought this lamp, set it up on my desk and loved it! The height was perfect, the setup was easy, it was everything I needed to have good lighting at my desk... until it broke. I came home after work to find that the lamp had fallen onto my desk and the clamp had broken in two. (see picture) I have been only using the lamp for a little over a month, 33 days to be exact... If I had been using it for several years, sure thats understandable. But a mere 33 days... If it wasn't for the broken clamp, I would have easily given this lamp 5 stars...

I've been using the replacement for over a year and I have no complaints about it! It's been working perfect. The arm still moves around smoothly and the lamp feels secure to my desk. Pretty satisfied with my purchase!
