I bought this flash as a gift for my boyfriend, who is a professional photographer, and he absolutely loved it.
He mentioned how versatile it is and how easy it was to start using right away. Since he started using it, he’s noticed a big improvement in his photos — they look much more professional and better lit.
According to him, it does everything he needs for his work. Overall, a great purchase and definitely worth it.
Overall, great value for the price.

This off-camera flash is one of the best flashes I've ever used. I do a lot of flash photography in tight spaces and in spaces where I need to pick up the flash and move it around or have an assistant hold it.
The Godox iT32 and the x5S adapter that it comes with has really revolutionized my ability to quickly shoot, adjust settings, and travel light. For the times I need to use a flash in close spaces, I would have a flash trigger on my camera and hold on to the flash. Then when i'm not using it, I would put it in my pocket or fanny pack which isn't the most convenient for when I need to grab it on the fly to not miss a moment.
With the flash being magnetic and have an ability to separate quickly allows me to never miss a moment while also being able to rest the flash back on my camera.
I think if there was one thing that I would like to see added would be a beam on the trigger (I know it's small, but maybe it's possible). That would help me with focusing in lowlight when I have the flash in hand. The accessories it comes with are great and I would buy this again in a heartbeat. Lots of power in a small design.

I use this flash every day, and it has become one of those tools I don’t think about anymore, which to me is the highest compliment. It just works. Which is I have multiple.
The Godox IT32 is compact, well-balanced on the camera, and delivers consistent, reliable output. TTL exposure has been accurate in my real-world use, and HSS performs exactly as expected when I need to control ambient light indoors or outdoors. It’s powerful enough for daily shooting without being bulky or overkill.
The touchscreen interface is one of my favorite aspects. Adjustments are fast and intuitive, especially when working quickly or moving between different lighting situations. I’ve found it far easier than traditional button-heavy speedlights.
I’ll be honest: I’ve mostly used the included diffuser, and it works well for softening light for everyday shooting. The magnetic modifier system looks thoughtfully designed and easy to use, but I haven’t needed anything beyond the diffuser yet. Even without diving into all the accessories, the flash performs extremely well on its own.
The included trigger has been rock-solid. Pairing was quick, range has been reliable, and I’ve had zero misfires or connection issues. Battery life has also been better than expected, easily lasting through long shooting days.
What I like most:
• Reliable TTL and HSS performance
• Compact size that’s easy to keep on the camera daily
• Touchscreen is fast and practical
• Diffuser works well for soft, usable light
• Excellent value for the performance
Things to know:
• If you need to overpower harsh midday sun at long distances, a larger strobe may still be a better choice
• The touchscreen takes a short learning curve, but it becomes second nature quickly
Overall, this flash has proven itself through daily use. It’s dependable, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed. Even without using every accessory, it delivers exactly what I need consistently.
Easy 5 stars.

I’m very happy to review this product. I use a Canon R5 and primarily shoot nature, sports, and portraits, and this flash has been a great addition to my setup.
It truly shines for portraits, the light output is clean and consistent, and the magnetic hot shoe is very strong, which gives me confidence when working quickly or moving between shots. I don’t think about it coming loose. It also has a right side and a wrong side so it is impossible to put it in wrong . I also really appreciate that it doesn’t require AA batteries and instead charges via USB. My old flash relied on batteries, and as they drained, recycle time slowed so noticeably. This lithium battery setup is a huge improvement, with fast, reliable recycling and consistent power throughout a shoot.
The flash comes with clear instructions, and the touchscreen is intuitive and easy to navigate, even if you’re not someone who loves digging through menus. I love how the LED modeling light has that option to stay on and helps illuminate the subject, which is especially helpful for portraits and indoor setups.
It’s lightweight, easy to mount and remove, and includes a shoe adapter that allows you to connect it to a stand for off-camera lighting, which adds a lot of versatility. TTL and HSS up to 1/8000s make it great for freezing action in sports (depending on your distance as the flash isn’t a super bright option at a distance.) or using fill flash outdoors without sacrificing creative control.
Overall, this flash delivers excellent performance at a great price point. It’s reliable, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Definitely a solid and worthwhile addition to my camera bag.

I’ve just got this Godox iT32 with the X5S wireless trigger for my Sony camera. Right away I noticed how easy it is to get up and running. The flash and trigger recognize each other automatically, so there’s no extra setup or pairing steps. You just mount it and shoot.
One of the things I really like is how flexible it is. The X5S doubles as both the hot shoe and a wireless controller. When it’s attached to the flash it works like a normal on-camera trigger. Take it off and it instantly becomes a wireless trigger. It makes moving between on- and off-camera setups very easy.
In use, the TTL performance has been reliable, and I’ve been able to dial in accurate exposures right out of the gate. The manual control ranges from low power up through full output when I want more control. High speed sync up to 1/8000 lets me keep nice shallow depth of field in bright sun without a lot of fiddling.
Battery life is good. You’re getting a built-in lithium battery that Godox rates for over 500 full power pops, and USB-C charging is very convenient. The only quirk is that the X5S doesn’t have its own charging port, so it needs to stay attached to the flash body to charge.
The head rotates and tilts just enough for most bounce lighting needs, and the magnetic accessories are nice to have for shaping the light. As far as value this feels like a well-rounded flash if you shoot on Sony and want something that handles both quick everyday use and more controlled lighting setups.
If you’re looking for something that’s easy to use, versatile, and covers TTL and high speed sync without breaking the bank, this Godox combo is definitely worth your consideration!

I’m a big Godox fan and regularly use the V1 and V100 for on-camera flash work, but the iT32 has quickly earned a permanent spot in my bag. What makes this flash special is how portable and flexible it is without feeling like a compromise. The magnetic X5 system is genuinely smart. Being able to snap the flash on for on-camera use, then detach it and immediately use it off-camera as part of the Godox 2.4GHz wireless system is a huge win for fast-paced shoots. Setup is quick, pairing is painless, and the touchscreen makes adjusting power, TTL, or HSS settings feel modern and intuitive.
Power-wise, it’s not meant to replace a V1 or V100, but that’s not the point. It’s more than capable for events, detail shots, travel photography, and run-and-gun situations where carrying a full-size speedlight feels like overkill. TTL is reliable, HSS works as expected, and having TCM available makes dialing in consistent results easy. The built-in diffuser, reflector, and LED modeling light are useful, not just checkbox features. Battery life has been solid so far, and USB-C charging keeps things simple.
The biggest reason I like this flash is how well it fits into the larger Godox ecosystem. I can throw this in my bag even on shoots where I don’t plan to use flash, knowing it can still trigger or work alongside my AD200 Pro II and AD400 if needed. For photographers who want something lightweight, versatile, and fun to use without giving up professional features, the iT32 is a really smart addition.

I'm really pretty impressed with this little flash unit, and it is one I would recommend for folks who are just getting into flash photography, or want something that's ultra portable. This goes great with small cameras like my Canon R50 and Powershot V1, and is tiny enough I can slip both in a small carry case on the go.
The negatives first.... This flash is light on power, so you'll likely be shooting closer to max power more often and definitely won't be able to use with soft boxes. And lastly this needs some sort of an additional firmware update for my Canon R50. When shooting with the unit on camera in TTL, most pictures come out slightly over exposed. When I remove the flash from the X5 and use it off camera, it is properly exposed or slightly under exposed. This unit shipped with V1.07 firmware, and I did update to V1.14, but the over/under exposure in TTL still appears to be an issue. The good news, it's about 0.5 over exposed, so I can use exposure compensation and the TTL works perfect. So this is more of a headache issue than a true problem.
Going through the other features of this flash unit, you get the same/similar software on this flash unit as other Godox on camera flashes and triggers. The unit works as a standalone on camera flash, a transmitter/trigger for other flashes, or in receiver mode to be triggered by other flashes/triggers like the V1C, X3 Pro, or others....
The flash DOES have TCM mode (TTL convert to manual). This is a GREAT feature that allows you to shoot in TTL mode, the by converting to Manual, it will retain the setting the flash used in TTL and show it to you in Manual mode. TCM only appears to work when used on camera, it will not work off camera. You can use TTL off camera, and you can convert to manual off camera, but it will not convert TTL to Manual off camera.
The X5 trigger is basic, but you CAN increase and decrease the exposure from a + and - button. And you can hold the M button to convert between TTL and Manual. Nice!
The IT32 DOES have a touch screen. I sort of like using the wheels and buttons, but the unit can be navigated completely using only the touch screen as well. Swipe down to open the menu. Swipe up to close the menu. Hit +/- to adjust the flash power. Nice!
While I typically use a Godox V1C, I will absolutely use this little flash for shooting indoor events where I'm not the primary photographer. I can carry my R50 and this flash in such a tiny little bag, it's so nice. I do hope that Godox gets it together and updates the firmware to fully correct for the over-exposure condition on Canon cameras, and the different TTL exposures when used on camera vs. off. This does NOT make the flash unusable as is, but can give some undesirable results if you don't know the condition exists. Just try taking a few photos in TTL on camera, pop the flash off and take the same photo, you'll see the difference.
The quick detachable Flash unit is more than a novelty, it truly simplifies the on/off camera flash experience. I never would have guess such a product was possible!

This camera flash is incredible. It has just about everything I want that's versatile, feature rich, built in wireless trigger and detachable wireless receiver that can also control other Godox flashes, that's also rechargeable and can fire off 500+ full flashes, tall enough so it doesn't leave a lens shadow, has rotating head, built in TTL zoom, diffuser, magnetic detachable color filter and stand, all in a small form factor that's very portable...are you kidding me? You can also get X5 triggers that work with different camera brands, and the flash head can attach and work with them, so you can share the flash system with many different cameras. I got this for Fuji, but I also have an X5 for Sony cameras, so I attached it in the photos to share. The touch screen control is beautiful and very intuitive to use. This flash system works perfect. I'm so impressed, amazed and thrilled with this flash.
