Faulty Design. Returning.

Faulty design. Returning. You can not tighten the light hinge because the lever does not have room to do a full rotation as shown in video. The light is very unstable and keeps folding over. Really bummed because it’s really bright but I can’t use it if it’s this unstable.

Bright, Easy to Set Up, and Easy to Customize

I've really been enjoying this LED light panel. It's lightweight and easy to set up, which makes it convenient when I need to get my recording/photography area ready without spending a lot of time putting everything together. Once it's on, it gets surprisingly bright and provides plenty of light for my videos and photos.

I also really like the lighting customization. Being able to adjust between warmer and cooler lighting makes it easy to change the look depending on what I'm filming and the type of lighting I want. It's nice having that flexibility without needing multiple different lights.

The app is also pretty great. Connecting the light was easy, and the app itself is simple to navigate. I was able to figure out the controls without having to spend a lot of time learning how everything worked. Overall, this has been a really useful addition to my filming setup, especially when I want bright lighting with more control over the overall look.

Amazing product, better than I expected and lit up my whole room no problem with my lights off. I am going to use this for my automotive photography and I can say was so worth the purchase. I am extremely happy!

All-in-One Lighting Solution for Solo Creators

If you're running a solo setup, gear that saves time and cuts down on complexity is priceless. This Godox 2-Light Kit is essentially a complete studio-in-a-box for simple photo and video shoots. Out of the box, it gives you practically everything you need to hit the ground running: two light panels with built-in barn doors, two light stands, AC power adapters, and rechargeable batteries that conveniently charge via USB-C. Tying it all together is a surprisingly rigid and durable carrying case that provides genuine protection when you're moving between locations.

In terms of actual performance, these 60W RGB panels deliver impressively clean, soft light with accurate color rendering right out of the box. Having full RGB control along with a wide CCT range (1800K to 10,000K) and built-in FX modes gives you tons of creative flexibility, whether you need a clean key light for an interview or ambient background pops. One-person crews will particularly love the Bluetooth app integration via the Godox Light App. Being able to adjust brightness, sync light temperatures, and swap colors directly from your phone—while simultaneously managing camera settings through your camera's app—completely eliminates the need to constantly walk back and forth tweaking dials manually.

That said, no kit is completely without quirks. The most noticeable design flaw involves the built-in barn doors and yoke setup: when you tilt the light downward on its stand and try to fully open the top barn door, it hits the mounting bracket, which restricts how far you can open it up. While it’s certainly not a dealbreaker, it can limit your light shaping at steep downward angles. Additionally, while having dual NP-F battery support is great for tether-free location shooting, battery life drains relatively fast when running both panels at 100% RGB output, so keeping power banks handy for USB-C top-offs is a must.

Ultimately, the Godox LP600R 2-Light Kit hits a sweet spot between portability, control, and value. It streamlines the solo workflow significantly while offering professional-grade light quality that effortlessly matches across both units. For hybrid shooters, interviewers, and small-scale content creators looking for a reliable, portable setup that won't break the bank or back, this setup is well worth considering.

Excellent Brightness, Great Color Control, and Surprisingly Complete Kit

I've used a lot of budget-friendly lighting over the years for photography, video work, interviews, and content creation, and this Godox LP600R 2-light kit has been one of the better values I've come across.

The first thing that stood out was how complete the package is. You get two RGB panels, two light stands, batteries, power supplies, and a carrying case. For someone building a mobile lighting setup, it's pretty much everything needed to get started right out of the box.

Brightness is impressive for the size. The adjustable color temperature range and full RGB capabilities make these incredibly versatile whether I'm filming talking-head videos, adding accent lighting, or creating more dramatic color effects. The app control is also convenient and makes quick adjustments much easier than walking back and forth to each light.

Battery operation has been especially useful on location shoots where power isn't readily available. The included carrying case keeps everything organized and makes transport simple.

The stands aren't heavy-duty studio stands, but they're perfectly adequate for the lightweight panels included in the kit. Overall, the entire setup feels well thought out and portable.

For content creators, photographers, livestreamers, or anyone looking to add flexible RGB lighting without spending a fortune, this kit delivers a lot of capability for the price. I've been very pleased with the performance and would absolutely purchase it again.

Came damaged.

Not sure if this is the shipper's fault or the manufacturer, however the light came damaged but the box appears fine so I think it was made this way. I'm going to see how it works but for $100 I'm probably going to exchange it for a non-damaged one.

High quality, budget friendly panel lights

This reviews covers the GODOX LP600Bi 60 watt bi-color panel lights completed in Spring of 2026.

This kit comes with two identical panel lights, two power supplies, and two light stands, all in a nicely made carry case. Setting up is easy as can be and the entire light can be used with the controls on the back side of the panel. You can also operate the panels with the GODOX app on your phone, which is what I've been doing for a few weeks now. The panel lights have integrated barn doors which allow you to shape and control the light. You can drive the intensity from 0 to 100% and the color range from a very warm 2800K to a very cool 6500K. Personally, I've been keeping them around the 5300K point and that's been working well for most of my work with them.

Construction is more plastic than I'd prefer but again, this is a more budget friendly option that can be portable so I understand the design choice but do wish they had more metal in the build.

I've enjoyed using them on a few different shooting opportunities and the app allows perfect control without every having the touch the back panel. This to me is a great feature that adds a lot of value to a good lighting option. As for light quality, I can't complain a bit. They do exactly what they're designed to do at a great price.

My only real complaint about these panels is the included light stands are not the best. Plastic isn't so fantastic here and every time I mount these panels I have pause about the stands. So much so, that I started mounting them on other stands to feel better about it. I'd rather pay a few dollars more and have GODOX include some stands of higher quality but I understand keeping the cost and weight down for this product. I can't really rate the lights lower since they do perform well, but the free stands are just, not so great.

Overall, these are great budget light panels, providing a lot of versatility and value for the price. Simple to use, easy to setup, and aside from the free light stands, a really decent product.

Great For Studio And Creator Use, Less Ideal For Daily Mobile Work

As someone who has been in the video industry for over 30 years as well as being involved in photographic work, this is a pretty impressive lighting kit. It's not what I would call a true pro kit, but it's more than capable for content creators, live streamers, small studio setups, interviews, and many types of photo or video shoots. The brightness is very good in real use, and it is easy to dial in exactly what you need.

The bi-color adjustment is genuinely useful, and I had no trouble getting the look I wanted. Lighting is an art form, I still prefer using diffusers, filters, or gels when I want more control or a specific style, but these panels were able to produce good looks on their own as well. Setup is easy, the controls are straightforward, and the knobs and adjustments feel properly sized and easy to work with. The app is also a nice extra feature and adds convenient control without being a hassle.

I also like that the kit gives you both AC power and battery power options. The AC adapters make it practical for longer shoots, while battery operation is useful when you need to place a light somewhere without easy access to power. That said, the included batteries are great for short scenes, which lines up with the product listing's statement that the included batteries are for emergency or short-term use. Plus on top of that, each panel needs both batteries for full operation.

I was really shocked at how much I liked the built-in effects. I used one light on battery power behind a prop window and the lightning effect worked surprisingly well for that setup. The carrying case is also impressive, everything fits neatly inside and gives added protection for mobile use.

My biggest complaint is the stands. They are easy to set up and they support the lights well enough, but they are clearly not pro-level stands. For a studio setup or occasional use, I think they will do the job for quite a while, but for daily mobile production work, I would have some concerns about long-term durability. At the current price, though, I think this kit is fairly priced for what you get, especially with the app control, built-in FX, carrying case, bi-color range, and dual power options.

F

Fork in Toaster

Way better than expected! Nice compact light kit.

Dig these lights. They came with 2 rechargeable batteries, but you need 4 to run both of them. They have lots of settings including effects. I didnt use the app as all the controls are available through the rear color controls.

I do feel the case could pack the items better, as there is no designated slot for the batteries and the lid where the stands go has Lots of empty unused space. They could of had a pocket in there for assecories & the manual or any other items as besides the 2 stands the rest of the lid is empty while the bottom part with the lights is packet full. I guess just toss a small zip bag in the lid with whatever you want.

Over all very impressive as the barn doors make all the difference with a small kit like this. I wish they were just a bit brighter and that the diffuser cover on the lights slid out easy.

Fantastic Light Held Back By A Weak Mount

The light itself is excellent and performs exactly how I was hoping it would. It puts out a really soft, even light that works great for my YouTube videos, and the size of the panel makes a noticeable difference compared to smaller lights. It wraps nicely and cuts down on harsh shadows without needing extra modifiers.

Adjustability is another strong point. The bi-color range makes it easy to match different lighting conditions, and the app control is honestly one of my favorite features. Being able to dial everything in from my phone instead of walking back and forth saves a ton of time, and it integrates seamlessly with my other Godox lights. I especially like the scenes option that allows me to set multiple lights exactly how I want them with one button press.

Where this setup falls short is the mounting system. The included stand is undersized for a panel this large and feels extremely unstable unless you’re keeping it low and perfectly upright. As soon as you start adjusting angles, it will tip over, which isn’t something I’m comfortable with when using it regularly. My shots need that adjustability, so I can only confidently use this on a third party light stand.

On top of that, the adjustment knob placement is awkward. It sits too close to the panel, so you can’t rotate it freely. You can pull the handle out and reset it, which works, but it feels like a workaround to a design issue that shouldn’t be there in the first place.

Overall, the light quality and features are easily good enough to justify the price, but the mounting setup feels like an afterthought, swap in a sturdier stand and this becomes an easy top-tier option.

Nice light panel, poor stand and no protectve case

I have other Godox lights and like the others this puts off a lot of light. The controls are easy to operate from the back of the light and it can produce a deep warm light and a very cool light as well. The panel is pretty large which is good for casting light over a large area. It also can extend very tall if you are brave enough.

There are a couple things I don't like. The first is that the attachment it mostly plastic. The light doesn't way a lot but because it is so large the further you tilt it the more stress it is under. It just doesn't feel as secure as I would like. It also can rotate very easily even when you have it tightened up. If you need the light to stay in position this can be an issue.

The other thing is the stand it is not really up to securing this light especially at the taller settings. I will be using it on more sturdy stands but I wouldn't want to rely on the included stand if I could avoid it.

One other thing is that my other lights generally came with a a case or sleeve or something to protect it and make transport and storage easier. This one does not so make sure you have a plan.

I'm giving it 4 stars because I like the light panel but because of the connection and stand I almost gave it 3.

Really nice light panel

The Godox LP800BI light is really a nice addition to any lighting system or can be used alone, and it does not disappoint. The panel is much lighter in weight and easier to move around that a similar power normal light with a softbox attached to it. Thus making it a great lightweight tool for any occasion.

It's easy to adjust and also can be controlled via bluetooth thru the Godox app, which makes it easier and quicker than pressing the physical plus and minus buttons on the back of the panel.

Setup and connection to the app is seamless and quick. And while it is rugged and sturdy it is not too heavy that it has to stay stationary.

Highly recommend.

Big light, cheap, build quality is a 4/10

I want to start with the nice things about this light, because it really is an A+ in 2 key areas. However, it does have a few draw backs....

What's great....

The LP800BI gives a nice, big, soft, and even light. The dimensions of the light are 13" by 20" for the lit area. Unlike other LED lights where you can see the individual diodes, the front panel is thick enough to smooth out any such imperfections. At 85W, this light has plenty of power as well. Setup is quick and easy, and quite sturdy when paired with a capable tripod or c-stand.

What is this good for? Either lighting your torso for a meeting/recording, or, overhead lighting for a desktop/workspace recording. For the lower ceilings in a residence vs a commercial office space, you have some much more room to work with than trying to squeeze a light and softbox in a sub 8 foot ceiling overhead.

Another bit plus is the power supply choice. For at home studio and lighting, I HATE having charging bricks all over the place. This has no charging brick, and any AC to DC power conversion is done inside the panel itself. The power cord is generously long, and stretches across an entire bedroom (15feet-ish?). I haven't measured it exactly, but I imagine most users will not need to use an extension cord.

What's so-so.....

The user interface choice is interesting, it's really just a power switch and 4 buttons. I'm highly surprised that Godox didn't use a dial instead for easier kelvin and intensity adjustments. I don't particularly care to hit a button 49 times to go from 1% to 50%, or play the "hold and stop" game, trying to release at just the right time and not inadvertently go 10 over. The good news is that the Godox Light app is FANTASTIC, and puts controls and adjustments at your finger tips through your phone via a bluetooth connection.

What's not-so-good.....

The build quality is on the low side, even for the litemons series. While litemons is intended to be budget friendly, manly litemones products still have metal frames and are quite durable. This light, however, is nearly 100% plastic. Maybe there is some metal on the inside, but the cstand pin mount is plastic, the outer shell is plastic, the knobs are plastic, the light outer frame is plastic... All plastic.

There is no battery powered option, and no travel case. It seems like a missed opportunity to not be able to power this from NP-F or other cine battery options. That's probably outside the target market, but at sub-100W, it shouldn't have been to difficult. Also, this thing is tough to store. It's very large, and has no sort of soft or hard case for protection while not in use.

Lastly, and most egregiously, the tripod provide is unbelievably lightweight. I wouldn't have issues using that tripod with the LP800 if the light is vertical, but if you intend to use the light horizontally you'll need a much heavier duty stand.

With all of the above notes, I'd still recommend this light to others. However, I'd really only recommend it to users in a home or home office style setting, and who don't need battery power. If this thing is going to live on the tripod and not really go into storage, and won't need to be transported from location to location, I think you'll be quite happy with it. The light quality is superb, and the price point is unbelievably low. At <$150, this is significantly cheaper and less complex than purchasing a COB light and a softbox, and takes up much less space.

I wish it had a case and a grid, I wish it had some more metal in the build, I wish it could be power by battery, but then you're looking at a $250+ light setup. So is it perfect? No, but there is also nothing that is fatally flawed about it.

Good light panel, flimsy light stand

I'm a photographer and while most of my studio work is still photography, I sometimes make videos or want to use continuous lighting to get the right look while posing my model. I have regular LED studio lights that work with normal light modifiers, but I've been wanting to try a flat LED panel. It's much lighter weight and less cumbersome than a regular light with a softbox or umbrella on it.

When I saw this Godox flat panel, I jumped at the chance to give it a try. I own several Godox monolights, light modifiers, and speedlights and have had good experiences with this brand.

This light does not disappoint. The quality and fit and finish is on par with the other Godox products I own. The panel is much lighter in weight and easier to move around that a similar power normal light with a softbox attached to it. The light provides even illumination similar to a softbox of the same size, and it's easy to adjust. I used it to illuminate various subjects in my studio and the results have been good.

With the panel set at 100% and 5400K and the light about a yard (meter) away from my subject, I got a good exposure at ISO 100, 1/100 shutter speed at f/4, which works out to an EV of 11, similar to the brightness of open shade on a sunny day.

To test the consistency of the light at different levels of brightness, I started at 100% and reduced the brightness of the panel to 50%, 25%, 12%, 6%, and 3%, and while also slowing the shutter on my Nikon D5 in one stop increments, checking that the exposure was consistent at each setting. It was consistent across most of the scale, with it going just slightly darker at the two dimmest settings.

To test the consistency of the color temperature settings, I changed the color temperature settings on the light while setting the same temperature for the white balance in my camera. The results also came out pretty consistent.

Based on these results I feel like I can trust the brightness and color temperature settings to be largely consistent and trustworthy throughout their ranges.

This product can connect to a Godox phone app via Bluetooth that lets you control the light remotely, but I haven't tested that yet.

The mount at the bottom of the panel seems sturdy enough and it fits the studs on standard light stands.

My only complaint about this product concerns the light stand that comes with it. It is fairly flimsy and and the legs aren't very long. When extended, they don't provide a very stable base for the light. The light stand extends to about 7 feet high, but the panel sways quite a bit when the stand is extended. If the panel is tilted even a short distance from vertical, the stand wants to fall in that direction. There is a label on the stand warning the user to use sandbags, and I found that two 15 lb bags were enough to stabilize the light even with tilted about 30 degrees. However, I have several much sturdier stands, and I'm going to use them with this panel, and keep the light stand that came with it for use with lighter things like speedlights.

I am pleased with this light, and I think it will work well, especially in portraits and videos of close subjects. It would be good to bring along when I'm working on location since it's much more portable than a conventional light and modifier. I think it's a good value for the money and I recommend it.

Fantastic Godox light panels kit

This Godox light panel kit is fantastic. It is a kit of 2 lights with stands.

The kit comes with a carrying case that neatly holds everything and makes storing and transporting easy.

The 2 light stands are secured with velcro straps to one side of the inner divider. The stands are decent; they're not heavy or heavy duty, and the knobs are all plastic, but it is not wobbly or loose feeling, and the legs are wide enough for the weight and size of the panels and the height of the stands.

The light panels are stored on the opposite side of the stands in the case, and both panels have built in barn doors that allow control of the light spill. The barn doors are plastic and feel taut; they stay in place when you move them and are not floppy or loose feeling at all. The lights attach to the stands with built in attachments that allow the lights to tilt. The lights can be set in place with knobs to tighten them down. Everything about them works well and they feel strong and secure.

The kit unfortunately only comes with one set of batteries, enough to power only one of the lights. Both lights can run off of either battery or AC power with the included ac adapters. I ordered another set of batteries, so I have 4, so I can run both lights off of batteries for on location shoots. Both of the batteries can be recharged using just a usb-c cable (included) which is really handy. Each light requires 2 charged batteries to be inserted to operate on battery power

The lights are bright at full power but the falloff is quick; they are best used closer to the subject. They are easily dimmable, and the color temperature can also be dialed in. The knobs and buttons all feel good and the whole thing feels like good quality. Godox makes great stuff and this kit is no exception.

It's a bit pricey but seems like a great kit and is very useful.

Neodymium Bean

For a starter kit, it's great. Somethings could be better.

What a considerate kit. Comes with a case, 2 stands, 2 lights, and ac cords. They do provide two smaller NPF batteries, which is odd since it requires 4 in total to power both the lights.

I found the kit neat if you have never dealt with Godox light panels before and are buying your first kit. It's very considerate in what it gives you, the build quality is okay, and the results are very very good light wise. If you don't have a 2 light content creator kit and want decent lights that you can get very professional results with, consider these.

The app is useful and works well, the lights are plenty bright for a desktop or content creator setup, and it's a decent kit.

It's when you look at the small details, or if you have used the higher end Godox panels where you notice things that are a little bit off. Here are some of the things that did bother me.

- The light stands are very flimsy and honestly take away a little bit from the overall quality. I understand the need to fit in the case, but they could be better. One of the light stands was compressed heavily during shipping and actually had to be bent back into place to fully deploy correctly. Not a great impression.

- Barrel jack power cord to power the lights or NPF battery. This would of a been a GREAT item to have USB-C option, mostly for desktop streamers who could power both lights with a USB-C hub and USB-C cables.

- The build quality is good enough for home use, but it has a plasticky feel that's uninspired. The body of the light panels like the backside material feels like Godox tried to get away with just enough to save money. Normally their gear doesn't feel like corners are massively cut, but this one felt like there was a lot of compromise to get the cost down.

Don't let the impressions above paint this as a bad kit. You can get some really great results with it as a first kit, or if you just plan on doing occasional remote work while mostly having it up for say a twitch setup, youtube product review page, or just content creation. Ultimately the light quality that comes from the panel is spectacular, and easy to adjust. It's just the physical build that feels lacking.

Good lights. Get some diffusion socks!

This is a decent little portable light setup. The quality of the LEDs and temperature control are very high quality. The included case and accessories make it very handy to grab and go.

As the diffusion on the panel is decent but still fairly harsh, I would highly recommend picking up a pair of diffusion socks for 22" beauty dishes. I tried this and it significantly softened shadows, especially with two socks stacked. The 22" beauty dish size is just right to fit over the barn doors - just don't get it too close to the hot panel! See photos. I plan to order another pair for about $6 and double stack them.

As others have said, the included stands are fairly cheap and light, but that does not bother me as these would be an indoor-only tool for me anyway. I have plenty of heavy duty stands should I decide to go outside with these lights.

The only gripe I have is the included batteries are useless. I tested them through a few cycles and they only last 25 minutes at full power and just under an hour at half power. So, if you truly want these panels to be portable I'd suggest getting batteries with at least twice the capacity. You also need two to even turn on the panel and it will stop working as soon as one runs out of juice. So you truly need four of the same high capacity battery for the best performance. Also worth noting they DO NOT charge while the panel is plugged into the wall outlet and must be charged on their own.

Great kit with mediocre stands

Lights 5/5

These lights are fantastic. They're lightweight, throw out a ton of light and I can light up a 12'x12' room with just these two light panels. The controls are simple and straight forward. A second knob would go a long way to make them easier to adjust but the bluetooth control option is a worthwhile trade off. The barn doors included help shape the light. While a grid would have been nice to be able to attach, the built in diffuser and barn doors go a long way to controlling the shape of the light. I love the battery power option too! I didn't notice a light disparity between the AC and battery powered output. The two included batteries are good to power a single light and they're name brand batteries too which I was pleasantly surprised by.

Case 5/5

The case is great and easily carries everything in the kit (and you could sneak in a couple extra batteries or other items too). The zippered closure is very secure too. Definitely a great way to carry these around.

Stands 2/5

These stands are included and fit in the case. But they're short, prone to tipping over, and more difficult to open than other light stands I've used. If you wanted to use these lights on a dance floor, I think I'd recommend other stands. For an interview or more predictable environment, these definitely can work. But the stands are decidedly the weakest part of this kit.

🎬 A Well-Balanced Lighting Kit That Earns Its Place

🟢 FIRST IMPRESSION

From the moment I unpacked it, everything felt carefully designed and well thought out. No unnecessary surprises, no missing pieces — just a complete, ready-to-use setup.

⭐ WHAT STANDS OUT

What I appreciated right away is that this is a genuinely complete kit.

You get two RGB panels, stands, power supplies, barndoors, batteries, and a carrying case — no need to start hunting for essentials before you can even begin.

On the technical side, it’s a very capable setup:

— 60W output per panel

— Up to 9270 lux at 0.5m

— Wide color temperature range from 1800K to 10000K

— Full RGB control

— CRI/TLCI 96+ for accurate color

— 14 built-in FX modes

Another thing worth mentioning — the panels are completely silent. No fans, no noise at all. I assume the all-metal housing is doing the job of passive cooling, dissipating heat through the body and rear vents. For video work, that’s a very welcome detail.

🧩 REAL-WORLD USE

I’ve already started using this kit in my own setup, and it fits naturally into the workflow.

The panels are easy to position, the stands hold well indoors, and adjusting light either on the unit or through the app feels straightforward. The app control is especially useful when the lights are already placed — no need to keep walking back and forth.

Battery power works, but in reality the included batteries are more of a backup. For anything beyond short sessions, you’ll want higher-capacity NP-F970 batteries (two per panel).

One more practical note — the whole kit inside the case is fairly heavy. This isn’t something you casually carry around on foot or take on a quick bus ride. In real life, it’s a “put it in the trunk and go” kind of setup.

⚙️ ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

There are a few practical limitations, nothing unexpected:

— Included batteries are only good for short sessions

— Light stands are lightweight — better suited for indoor use

— Full mobile setup requires additional NP-F970 batteries

— The kit is relatively heavy for casual transport

These feel more like trade-offs for portability rather than actual flaws.

🎯 BOTTOM LINE

This is a kit I’ll actually keep using, not just something I tested once and put aside.

It’s reliable, flexible, and easy to work with — which, in the end, matters more than any spec sheet.

• Complete, ready-to-use kit

• Wide control over color and temperature (1800K–10000K + RGB)

• Accurate, natural-looking light (CRI/TLCI 96+)

• Strong output for its size

• Silent operation (no fan noise)

• Convenient app control

• Best suited for indoor or controlled environments

• Requires NP-F970 batteries for serious mobile use

• Not very travel-friendly without a car

A practical, well-built lighting setup that feels like it was made for real work — not just for listing on a product page.

Very Versatile 2-Light RGB Kit for Creative and Professional Video Work

This light setup is amazing. It is very versatile for getting creative shots as well as more normal professional lighting setups. One of the best features is the Bluetooth app control. That ended up being the fastest and easiest way for me to control both lights and make sure they match exactly without having to keep walking back and forth. Being able to save scenes and presets is also a huge help because if you record often with similar setups, you do not have to dial everything in from scratch every time.

Feature-wise, this kit gives you a lot to work with. Each light is a 60W RGB panel, so you are not just limited to regular white light. You get full RGB color control, a very wide color temperature range from 1800K to 10000K, adjustable brightness from 0 to 100%, and 14 built-in FX modes for creative lighting effects like lightning, party, fire, and other scene-style looks. The lights are also very bright for the size, and the high CRI/TLCI ratings help them look accurate and professional instead of cheap or weird in skin tones.

It also comes with useful accessories that make it feel like a complete kit. You get light stands, barndoors for directing and shaping the light, power adapters, and a carrying case that pulls everything together into a portable setup. As a videographer who is on the go a lot, that is something I really appreciate.

One important thing to note is the battery setup. It includes two NP-F style batteries for emergency or short-term use, but each light needs two NP-F batteries to run unplugged. So if you want to power both lights fully on battery, you will need to buy more. I already had my own larger NP-F batteries, and those worked well. Also, because the stands are lightweight and more portable, this kit makes the most sense for indoor use unless you are being careful with conditions.

Overall, this is a very well thought out lighting kit if you want both standard professional lighting and more creative RGB options in one setup.

I was fortunate to find this all in one light kit and it’s not limited to indoor use. It is recommended for stability to use indoors but seasoned photographers know to bring sand bags to help buffet windy conditions. If you don’t know much about that, just understand that lighter, light stands can be blown over so protect your investment no matter where you are using these and weight them down in some fashion to keep them from getting damaged from accidental toppling over.

Let’s start with the over all kit. This came packed in its own portable carrying & storage case. Everything fits neatly and organized in two layers inside. I mean this bag even included a handle to lift between layer one and layer two. That’s a first. Usually there’s just a flap and you lift the flap, but that handle is a game changer. Inside the case you’ll find two complete light sets and I mean power cords, stands, and barn doors already attached to the lights. If I had one complaint about this set, it would be concerning the included batteries. They only included two batteries and yes, they are a bonus to the buyer but each light takes two. So I’m dumbfounded as to why they didn’t include 4 batteries instead of two. Regardless if they only included two, you can still be up and running the moment you open the kit because they do have power cords. Those two batteries bother me though because why stop at two and not complete the entire set.

What’s impressive about the set are these features of the full range of RGB colors, the fact the light panels are LED which tend to last longer, the smart app control and the 14 optimal lighting effects that are built in to enhance your creativity.

The color range goes up to 100,00k color temperature. Why is that important? That means when you visually review the warm colors they will appear deeper, richer and the blues can be cooled down versus other standard light panels. Again with the RGB, you can achieve that perfect balance for your preference and not just the cookie cutter out put. Also, with the 4-way barn doors you can change the trajectory of the light out put. This is a primo lighting kit and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. It’s so awesome!!
