Faithful Fender Tone Stack Reproduction
This is a really nice Fender amp simulator – and it faithfully replicates the classic Fender tone stack – for better or worse. The Fender tone stack has a lot of interaction between the channels, and the characteristic test is if you turn the Low and High all the way down, then the Mid will act ONLY as a volume control without changing tone. Indeed, this is exactly what this box does, so it acts like the classic circuit.
An actual Fender 57 literally costs over 50 times more than this pedal, so if this is the sound you’re looking for, running this into a clean modeling/acoustic amp (super flat/faithful frequency response) should give you something pretty close to that sound. I don’t own a Fender 57 to compare it to, but this pedal sounds great anyway. The drive goes from clean to a nice creamy overdrive. The pedal is entirely analog, and sips a meager 3.2mA of current. Most excellent 5 stars.
