Compact and Solid Lithium UPS to Keep My Network Online

Integrating this GOLDENMATE lithium UPS into my home network setup has been a great way to manage my essential devices stay online during power flickers and outages. The lithium battery technology is a significant upgrade over traditional lead-acid versions, offering better durability and consistent performance. It works exactly as advertised, providing that much-needed peace of mind for my daily connectivity. I, personally, used this to keep my networking equipment powered (modems, routers), as the 360W capacity is geared towards lower-load equipment (laptops, printers, network gear). GOLDENMATE's website is great at proving manuals and run-time calculations.

While the performance is reliable, there are some practical considerations regarding its physical design. Because the unit is quite heavy, I made sure to secure it firmly into my wall's wood frames to keep it stable. The mounting bracket has a distinct V-shape, which means it’s really only designed to be hung in one specific direction; if you try to mount it with the plugs facing up or down, it tends to slide out of the bracket. I also found it somewhat difficult to get perfectly level because of that same V-shaped design (1/2-star deduction). I did appreciate its compact size and having the ability to see battery data using the USB-A cable. Additionally, I was unable to find a way to disable the alarm, only mute it after an event (1/2-star deduction).

Despite these mounting quirks, it remains a very solid choice for anyone prioritizing reliable backup power and lithium technology over a more flexible installation. It does its job well and feels like a high-quality piece of equipment for the home office.

A modern UPS that already proved itself during a power outage

This UPS feels like a modern upgrade over the traditional battery backups I've owned in the past. Of course itprovides battery-backed AC outlets (five of them), but it also adds conveniences like USB-C and USB-A charging ports so you can keep phones and other small devices powered too without needing an additional AC outlet. I also appreciate the communication port that allows the UPS to connect directly to a Windows PC, Mac, or NAS for automatic safe shutdown. That's a new convenience for me and seems to be an important one as it's designed to help prevent data loss and file corruption if the power goes out while you're working.

The unit uses a LiFePO₄ (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery, which offers a much longer service life than the lead-acid batteries found in many older UPS units, making this feel like a worthwhile long-term upgrade. I've had at least two UPS units die because the battery itself died. So this is a thoughtful upgrade.

Mine sits on the floor at the foot of my desk. While nine sits on the floor, this does have a mounting bracket on the back and comes with mounting screws and wall anchors. I don't think I'll put mine on the wall but it's a nice thoughtful touch to include that design and hardware. I have my laptop, desktop, and two monitors plugged into it. I also have two additional USB cables plugged into the side. I recently had the opportunity to put it through a real-world test when severe storms knocked out our power for roughly 20 hours. Obviously, a 600VA/360W UPS isn't designed to keep a desktop computer running for an entire day, but that's not its purpose. Instead, it immediately switched to battery power exactly as it should, giving me plenty of time to save my work and shut my computer down safely. I also like the built-in emergency light, which automatically illuminates during an outage, making it much easier to locate cables and equipment in a dark room. Plus it serves as a invisible indicator of whether the power is still off. There's also the notorious beeping sound that all UPS systems have. But this one is capable of deactivating that beeping sound. My other UPS units did not have that ability. I am highly in favor of that!

Overall, this is a well-built, feature-rich UPS that combines modern connectivity, long-life battery technology, and dependable backup protection into a compact package.

Great Quality, Non-Replaceable Battery

Superb quality. I really can't complain or gripe about anything there. Case is well designed and solidly built. Electronics are good quality.

Works well/without hiccup. Things like the power button and mute functionality are reasonably intuitive to operate.

Where I can gripe though is with the repairability. Many UPS's you can swap out the battery by opening the case and detaching a couple of cables from the actual battery. This one... not so much. I get that it's LFP and that adds _some_ complexity, but... It feels like they went out of their way to make it difficult. Opening the case is easy enough, but from there, the battery is well embedded, tied to the case with a couple of lateral screws that require removing the main board to access. The BMS also seems to perform extra duties (the power gauge is controlled via the BMS, there are a couple of serial comm lines from the BMS, etc). The battery/BMS seems to have a part number on it, but searching did not turn up any results.

The LFP battery should give more life than an SLA, but it'd still be nice if it was replaceable...

Great Replacement for an aging UPS

Never knew how much I depend on a great battery backup. For some reason where I live the power seems to flicker quite a bit. Not only that but there are times where power outages last for hours. This Goldenmate 600 watt backup has been unbelievable. Super light weight and takes only seconds to swap out. There is a mounting option if you want to have it mounted on the wall. I'm just glad that this battery uses lithium instead of lead acid. I'm tired of their short battery life and are much more reliable.

It works great!

I was looking for a battery backup surge protector to plug into my computer and NAS drives to prevent problems. This product works as advertised. I like how it comes with the hardware to mount on the wall if desired, it is built well and heavy, and is simple in operation.

Great for Short Power Outages

Boy, am I happy to have this! My old battery backup was so old that I don't think they're even made any longer. It's definitely time to update and upgrade. This one is a UPS, or "Uninterrubtible Power Supply" AND a surge protector. My nephew had a lightning strike that ruined almost all of his electronics, so it's important to have that option. This one, at 600 Volt-Amperes, is just enough for a basic home office desktop PC. VA is only the max load, not the runtime. The runtime will vary widely depending on how the battery backup is used. For a desktop ( I asked Rufus) I'll get only around 23 minutes. For me, this means I can be working during a power out and not worry about losing my work due to a temporary power interruption. I live in an area where the electrical supply is very dependable, but it will blink out for moments at a time and on the rare occasion, will be out for several minutes to a couple of hours. This battery will allow me at least enough time to save my work and perhaps to finish an email and shut down the PC before the battery runs out. The outlets will accommodate the PC itself and my large screen, which is all I'll need.

I love lithium based UPS devices.

This unit works exactly as it is supposed to. It is weird, but maybe a good thing to reduce the potential of accidentally turning the unit off: you have to hold the power button for about 5 seconds to turn it on or off. I tested this unit with a fan so I could listen to see if it lost power or if it was a pure sine wave. Just as it states in the description, it acts as though it has a modified/simulated sine wave. When unplugged, the fan speed died down, which is typical for a modified sine wave output. The light was set to auto and turned on immediately. So, if a modified UPS with a LiFePO4 battery is what you are looking for, this will work great and you will not have to worry about replacing the battery.

A GREAT start for a diy mini power wall

Out of the box, you've got a few outlets, and some kind of disappointing output from the USB ports, only rated at 5v 2A for a maximum of 10W.

But that's where it stops being disappointing. The lifepo4 battery is small but it works great as a base building block for a great single-breaker, panel box mounted whole-branch backup, which is why I got it.

It has all the typical features of a decent standalone UPS with a 10ms transfer time on power loss, and it's just a decent all around standard desk UPS that lasts 10min at 300w out of the box. Enough for a protector for a typical desktop, or more than enough for an entire home networking rack.

But, where I think it shines is the required architecture is there to hook up to a significantly larger lifepo4 battery bank and with a little extra work, you could easily make it into a mini power wall device, which is what I intended to do.

Easy to dismantle and the battery itself is mostly modular.

In my opinion pound for pound it easily beats a heavier SLA battery UPS

Great little UPS

I've personally never heard of GoldenMate, and took a chance ordering one off of Vine. This little UPS is very well thought out, and using a LiFePO4 battery makes so much more sense. I've personally gone through more Lead-Acid UPS batteries over the years than you can shake a stick at. Lead-Acids are good for maybe 3-4 years, however the LiFePO4 should have a life of 10+ years, and is much more capable of deep cycling. Why nobody else has jumped on the newer battery technology is mind boggling.

For 600VA, the unit is actually quite a bit smaller than your typical Lead-Acid unit, and a bit lighter. It's light enough to hang on the wall, which is super easy given the slide on/off mounting backet on the bottom. They're kind enough to include 2" long screws with plastic inserts should you need them. In addition to the 110v outlets, they provide ports for charging your USB devices on the left side. Yes, there's no fancy display on the smaller units, however they do give you row of battery charge indicators, along with the power/mute buttons, as well as a green LED to show there's battery power. Overall, it's a sleek looking little unit, that doesn't look out of place mounted on the wall. Something you don't typically see on just about any other UPS is Emergency Lighting, which is present below the 110v outlets. In the event of a power outage, it can be set to automatically illuminate to provide some lighting to a dark room when mounted on your wall.

I have a Ryzen 9 5900x with several SSDs, nVidia RTX, and optical drives connected along with two large monitors, and this little 600VA units is perfectly capable of running it for a decent amount of time with no issues. Great little UPS, even for more powerful systems.

Metal Exterior, Lots of Connectivity

Great product. I ordered this as I live in the SE and we have humidity and sometimes hurricanes. They usually get the power back up within an hour or 3, but I wanted something to power my laptop during/after a storm, once it's internal battery gets low. What attracted me to this is that it's got regular 110v and USB ports, so I can power pretty much anything electric. If I'm just running a laptop and maybe a phone I should get 1-2 hours which is plentiful enough for my needs. It's also easy to mount to a wall and the outer shell looks to be aluminum, so I expect it to last a while and come in VERY handy next time I lose power. It's easy to connect peripherals, I have it mounted where all the 110v connections are on the bottom so they don't get in the way.

I docked a star because I've seen units at 1000V for not a lot more than this version.

Say Goodbye to Power Panic: The Desktop Guardian That Actually Looks Good Doing It!

Let's be real, most uninterruptible power supplies look like massive, utilitarian bricks that you want to hide behind a desk as quickly as possible. That is exactly why the GOLDENMATE 600VA/360W Lithium UPS caught my eye right out of the gate. With its sleek, carbon-fiber textured top and modern, compact housing, it is the first battery backup I’ve owned that actually complements a high-end office or tech setup. Instead of burying it on the floor where it collects dust and gets kicked by accident, I proudly keep this unit right on my workstation. It blends in perfectly with my networking gear and peripherals, bringing a touch of modern style while serving a critically important, tech-saving function.

Beyond the sharp aesthetics, the real magic happens under the hood. The transition from traditional, heavy lead-acid batteries to a modern LiFePO4 battery is a massive leap forward. It keeps the unit surprisingly lightweight and compact while offering a significantly longer lifespan, faster charging, and better thermal stability. I have my main router, a network switch, and a network-attached storage drive plugged into the five incredibly convenient side-mounted AC outlets. Having the outlets positioned on the side rather than the top makes cable management an absolute breeze, allowing power cords to route cleanly backward without turning into a tangled, vertical mess. When a severe storm rolls in and the power flickers, the simulated sine wave technology kicks in instantaneously, providing a stable 120V/60Hz output that keeps my vital electronics running without a single hiccup or dropped internet connection.

What truly sets this GOLDENMATE unit apart from the standard pack are the brilliant quality-of-life additions that you simply don't realize you need until you experience them. The built-in emergency LED light bar on the bottom edge is an absolute stroke of genius. The moment the grid goes down, this bright light automatically kicks on, instantly illuminating your workspace so you aren't left scrambling in the pitch black trying to safely shut down your computer or hunt for a flashlight. Paired with the dedicated 10W Type-C and 10W USB-A charging ports right on the side, the unit transforms from a simple surge protector into a comprehensive emergency power station. I can easily keep my smartphone and wireless earbuds topped off directly from the UPS without sacrificing one of the valuable AC outlets.

The day-to-day livability of this battery backup is truly outstanding. If you've ever dealt with a noisy UPS that hums, clicks, or whines incessantly, you will deeply appreciate the ultra-quiet operation here. Running at under 40 decibels, it is practically silent, meaning I can work, take important calls, or focus on a project right next to it without any annoying background drone. For those who want an even cleaner, more minimalist setup, the unit is fully wall-mountable via the back mounting slots, allowing you to lift it off your desk and tuck it out of the way entirely. Whether you are safeguarding an expensive work computer, ensuring your home network never unexpectedly drops out, or just want absolute peace of mind during unpredictable weather, this compact powerhouse delivers flawlessly on every single front.

Durable, quality product

I got this GOLDENMATE lithium UPS for my home office setup. It’s compact and can be mounted on the wall, which helps save space.

It kept my computer and modem running during a short power outage test and gave me around 20-25 minutes of runtime before shutting down cleanly. The built-in emergency light came on automatically and was useful. It has enough outlets and USB ports for my basic setup and switches over without any problems.

It’s been working well so far and I’d keep using it.

Eye In The Sky

Just what the doctor ordered!

So I have a brand new lovely house and I had purchased the larger Goldenmate UPS systems for my living room, for my wife's office, and a smaller one for my office. The one area of the house that was not protected and batter backed up and that seems to blink on and off at least once weekly is my IT cabinet in the laundry room. I had spent quite a bit of time figuring out how I would mount a smaller Goldenmate outside of the cabinet and then figure out how to connect to it. I had never seen this much smaller wall mounted 600CA/360W product from Goldenmate and this is PERFECT as it fits inside the cabinet and even allows the door to close. It is brilliant and it even has an emergency light that can be configured to turn on in the event of a power failure. My photos show very much a work in progress (not proud of the organization of the cables and things around it but I have to say that the unit slotted right in, I wall mounted it inside the cabinet using the screws and mounting mollies. The unit is a little over 6lbs and not heavy at all and I had studied up on Goldenmate and their battery technology that is far better than the units I used to use. So easy to use, just plug it in and plug in your equipment (as I will be doing a better job of in the coming days). The unit is quiet but does have venting built into it. Absolutely brilliant way of getting a UPS inside of a crowded and messy IT cabinet. Love Goldenmate and adore this 600VA unit very much!
