Very cool lights

I thought they would make the whole back wall colorful but I still have to test it at night. Assembling is very easy. I won’t put it on the back of the tv yet just to make sure it is functioning properly. It’s easy to use the app with the lights. Quality seems good. Cord length is long. Remote control works good. I’m still understanding how the settings work, it does sync with tv or music I’m just not so sure how to make it happen properly but will learn. It is a good product if you don’t want to stick the strings in the back.

Good quality for the price. Overall I give it a 4 stars because I was expecting to be a little bit more powerful colors or easily pairing the scene with the colors for the motion sync, but maybe I just don’t know how to do it yet.

Great back lighting

Very good lights I use them behind my plants. I use the govee app to set them up with color and a timer. Lights look very good and super easy setup 10 out 10 I would recommend.

Modern, rugged standing desk stand

The instruction manual was simple to follow. I like the height of the desk stand. The legs were wide enough for a 74” butcher block. I did not use the cable management sheet they sent me or all of the extra fasteners.

Best lights ever

Got them for my bf that trades to upgrade his set up he loves it so much!

OK so I have had these up and running for a couple weeks now and they have honestly turned into a bigger part of my listening set up more than I expected. Figuring out the installing, app downloading, syncing took less than 10 minutes. They are lighter than I imagined, 2 pieces of double sided tape (the kind for small plexiglass frames) hold it up on the back of my table just fine.

I got these put up behind my turntable/speaker set up just for some better ambiance. I wanted options other than ceiling lights on or off. I didn't realize my listening experience was about to forever change. I have a turntable with an acrylic platter that sits slightly below eye level on this table. I turned off the ceiling lights and sat down at my listening spot. The first thing I notice is how bright and crisp the lights looked on the backdrop as they transitioned through whatever color scheme I had selected. Then I realized my acrylic platter on my turn table was appearing to glow and change with the back lighting. Just such an amazing unexpected surprise that just solidifies that these were the perfect choice for me.

My only gripe is that the functionality of the music sync option isn't really that impressive if you are paying attention to detail. I understand they have a device that negates this issue by being able to plug directly in with your audio source, so at least it is an issue they have already addressed with add-ons - but be prepared to consider purchasing that add-on if this is something you care about. Even though I am using this for my listening set up, I've found that the custom made aurora borealis pattern is actually my preference. Lights matching the music almost feels distracting from the music, where as the subtle pattern serves as more of a separate yet intertwined piece of the experience. This product elevated my favorite hobby and pass time, which is a tall order. Overall, I am satisfied.

Honestly - special shout out to the social media aspect of the app. I scoffed when I first saw it but then started going through people's custom pattern designs that were shared within the community. There are some truly creative people out there!

Grove Smart Light Bar

As decribed! Works well and gives great light to the room and adds to the already existing ambiance. I would definately recommend!

Such a vibe!

Bought one of these lights and immediately went back to buy a second one after seeing it! Great way to add light without needing a lamp or installing sconces. Creates a cool and cozy vibe and the color choices are great! Timer feature is key. At 7pm, all of our govee lights turn on and set the evening vibe for us!

Best option for home lighting!

These are beyond my expectations! We have black walls, so colors, especially reds and oranges, are hard to show up sometimes. These def don't have that issue! Theyre super bright! Also all of the options are so fun! Definitely worth it! This photo was taken during the day with daylight coming in, and they're still super bright and colorful!

Long lasting!

Have had mine for three years now and they still work great. When i first got them they were behind my monitors shining lights up and giving a soft glow from behind my computer setup. Now i have moved and placed them above my fire place shining behind my tv.

One of the best things I bought for a new apartment

I’ve had these for 2 years, and they are so much fun! I haven’t had any issue with them so far. You’ll download an app on your phone to control them, and there are a TON of settings. You can have them move to the beat of music or move to action scenes in a movie or just have one steady color. I control them through my Alexa or on my app on my phone. I have them mounted on the back of my TV using the tools that came in the box. There are also stands you can use if you don’t want to stick anything to your TV, but I think it looks cooler this way so the light can shine off the wall. You will not regret buying these! Great for parties too.

Clean white light and colorful ambient options, easy to control through the app

The setup was very straightforward. I simply connected the light to my Wi-Fi, opened the app, entered the network information, and within minutes everything was ready to use.

Through the app, you can not only customize the timer, brightness, and how the light transitions between colors, but also easily turn the lights on and off without touching them. This makes daily use very convenient. The app also includes white light options in addition to colors, so it works well both as ambient lighting and as functional everyday light.

It integrates with Alexa and Google, which is a nice plus. On Mac, however, it’s not possible to sync videos with the Govee lights through software, which is worth noting.

I’ve mainly been using it as ambient lighting, and it performs very well in that role. The brightness varies depending on the color selected, which is normal for this type of light. For video, I tested it using the dynamic “Aurora” scene, and it created a clean and pleasant background effect.

Overall, it’s a solid and practical option if you’re looking for customizable ambient lighting for your home or workspace.

Exactly as advertised but my controller was broken out of the box

OK, so this is a bit of a mixed review. The lights came in and they were a perfect fit for my setup. The mounting brackets were perfect. The lights fit perfectly and everything was fine, however, when I went to turn them on for the first time, there was a problem with the controller. The lights came on and they would only display one color. I contacted Govee support and they were very helpful and they actually covered it under warranty and are sending me a brand new unit, I’m just waiting for it to arrive now. The customer service was great and they were very helpful. The light bars look amazing and they fit perfectly with the set up that I wanted. The controller, however, did not work out of the box. I have purchased many products from Govee and this is the first time I’ve had an issue like this. I would probably complain more, but the customer service was very helpful and they did volunteer to replace the product free of charge.

They look great

Want some vibes around you while playing games? Then go for it!

Those lights are those kind of things you really don't need but you still want it cuz they look good. Just look the pictures.

The only backdraw on this could be the app, and i'm saying could be cuz I don't really use it that much, just to setup the whole thing the first time. Why? Well, they do pair with Alexa and after that you don't really need it unless you want to change colors and move meabe something here and there.

The problem with the app is that is not user friendly at all. O lot of values to change. Beside that, these lights are beautiful and do create an atmosphere at gaming room.

Great Lighting Upgrade – Stylish, Fun, and Reliable

I’ve had the Govee Smart LED Light Bars for about a year now, and overall, I’m really happy with them. I use them mainly to add accent lighting behind my TV and along a few shelves in my living room, and they’ve completely changed the vibe of the space. These light bars are sleek and modern-looking, and the way they fill the room with color really elevates the whole setup.

Installation was simple. The mounting hardware and adhesive strips worked well, and the light bars fit perfectly in the spots I wanted. I appreciate how easy it is to customize the layout by adding or removing bars as needed. The connection to the app was quick and stable, and I’ve rarely had any issues with responsiveness.

The RGBIC technology means each segment can show different colors, which makes for really cool lighting effects. Whether I’m using the preset scenes or creating my own with the DIY mode, the color transitions are smooth and visually appealing. The music sync mode is a fun bonus too—it reacts well to different genres, making movie nights and parties more immersive.

The app itself is intuitive and offers plenty of control, including scheduling, brightness adjustments, and voice control via Alexa and Google Assistant. I like being able to control all my Govee lights from one place, and these light bars integrate seamlessly with my other Govee products.

The only thing I wish was a bit better is the brightness. While the light bars produce beautiful, vivid colors, I sometimes find myself wanting just a touch more light output, especially in brighter rooms or during the day. That said, for most evening and ambient lighting purposes, the brightness is more than sufficient.

After a year of use, the build quality still feels solid, and the lights have performed consistently without any flickering or fading. I’d definitely recommend the Govee Smart LED Light Bars if you want a stylish, customizable lighting option that adds personality to any room. Just be aware that if you need super bright lighting, you might want to supplement them with other sources. Overall, a great purchase that I’m glad I made.

Decent bar lights

I currently have over 30 govee products (lights, purifiers and kettle) and expect the best every time. These are just ok. I feel like they would look better in another use other than a tv, maybe for shelf back lighting.

Bright, customizable, easy to use/set up

My favorite RBG lights by far. I love the music option and many different features. LOVE! A lot of color options as well. Btw, make sure you know where you want mount with the 3M sticker before you place it. It’s very sticky and one time use as all 3M stickers are.

These are Very Versatile and Adjustable Accent Lights

This is the fifth Govee product I’ve purchased. I have four of Govee’s LED light strips, and bought these light bars because my other Govee products have worked so well and been a good value. I bought these light bars to provide accent light behind two of my computer monitors.

One thing to point out: the two light bars are attached to the controller via a Y-shaped cable. The y-cable, however, leaves you plenty of room to space the bar lights as you like.

The triangular shape of the lights lets you place them at just about any angle you want. In addition, the stands/brackets that are included in the box give you very flexible mounting/positioning options.

The total amount of time from opening the box to having them mounted in their final resting spot was easily less than 30 minutes. Once I had these plugged in and turned on the Alexa app on my phone found them almost immediately.

The Govee app gives you almost infinite effects and color combinations to choose from. You can choose from a wide array of colors for these lights bars, so you can match them to your décor. What I like best is they are bright enough (350 lumens at 100%) to really light up a space, but they can be dimmed using the app or a voice command. I’ve literally spent hours playing around with the app and all my Govee lights, checking out all the colors, themes, effects and brightness combinations.

These did exactly what I wanted them to. They are excellent accent lights and a great value for the price.

I’m very Happy with Govee

They came in the mail perfectly was not broken. Amazing how this device gets so bright and you can control the brightness on the app. I love the colors amazing how LED performs. I picked the right light source RGBICW. Ever since I ordered it a month ago I’ve been using it every night on full brightness. The only thing that really I don’t like is that it’s a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. I’m more used to only Bluetooth. I don’t like having too many devices on my Wi-Fi.

Definitely coming back for some more. I’m going to get the gaming RGBIC next.

Brightness is great!

Overall, these little bars are great for the price. They get pretty bright, the color availability is very large, plays with music, tons of options on the app for themes, moods, etc. You can adjust different sections of the bar. Really love them! Though the cord situation could be a bit better, makes things a little untidy and hard to move the bars around how they’re connected. The standing brackets are too tight to slide in all the way and I think it would be better to have a design that allows the cord to slide in it so you don’t have to have it upright and sticking out. 4 stars though because with how cheap the set is they’re pretty amazing!

Pretty good with room for improvement

Let me say that I think this is a great value for the cost but there are certain things that are a bit annoying. 1: Both light bars are connected through a Y shaped cable which can make cable management quite difficult specially if you plan to place them far apart from each other, that is because that cable needs to correct to the light control panel (?) that you needs to use to get them powered up and you can use to change colors. 2: Yes, you can control these through the app, BUT it only works with 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi, meaning I have to disconnect my phone from my 5Ghz Wi-Fi to connect to the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi in order to get any sort of customization and the worst part is that if you click any of the other buttons on the light panel but the on/off button, that will screw up your customization and you will have to go back to the app they put that back, now, you can save profiles, but so far they have not worked for me, which is the main reason I keep this light on a slightly warm white setting to match my monitor lamp.

As you can see I attached the light panel to the bottom of my monitor stand for easy reach when turning on and off, before I use to have it under my desk close to my right leg. This is the best way I found to hide that light panel and make use of it to avoid having to open the app at all. Also I see a lot of people attaching the lights to the wall facing against the back of their TV, WRONG you want the light facing the wall and have some room between the lights and the wall to help diffuse the light and fill most of the room in my case I can’t have them any farther from the wall but you can see how much light it brings to the otherwise pitch black room. Bottom line, wish the cables were longer and they improved the app. Asides from that, the attachments are great, they stick just fine and I think you should pull the trigger if your thinking in buying a pair. Also the lights seem to be made off some sort of soft plastic so no need to worry about any goes breaking.
