These things look green my modern cage type light fixture (video). They are nice and big. Also bright. They have great colors as well as all the whites from warm to cool. Easy to pair with the app and use with Google. Screw in, turn on and pair. Fun to create DIY effects, or use the scenes in the app. Govee costs a bit more than others, but they last. I’m still using bulbs from 8-9 years ago from them.

These look great for the new patio sconces I bought on Prime Day to pair with these bulbs. The combo is great but wasn’t at first given the ugly white bulb bases that killed the look.
Solution: Metallic paint and a small project
Small Project: First I took pictures of the Matter labels. Then I used painters tape on the glass and metal screw part of the base close to the ugly white. I then wrapped the remaining glass in food plastic wrap. I painted these with Behr Gold Glass Metallic Finish paint and it is a surprisingly good match I didn’t honestly expect.
My Network: I have a Tp-Link Deco mesh wifi 6e network but also tested these on the wifi 7 mesh briefly too. I have had no connectivity issues, but it could also be my use with Apple HomeKit via Matter.
Apple Home and HomeKit: I opened the pictures of the Matter labels and simply pressed the upc scanning box in the picture. On iPhone doing this creates a pop-up to open the link in Apple Home. I opened the link. The Apple Home app opened and immediately started the process of adding the bulb. I did this procedure one bulb at a time until all were added, and I did not have to turn the switch or bulbs on and off or anything like that. I was done activating 6 bulbs in about 15 minutes.
I only turn these bulbs off and on via Apple Home. They do take a minute to join the network again if the bulbs are turned off at the switch. I don’t use the Govee app for these. I tried the Govee app for the first bulb and it was much more time consuming than the procedure I just described. And after adding a bulb to the Govee app I still had to add it to Apple Home. I decided I didn’t want to use the Govee app and am not having any issues at all. For reference I do have the latest version of the Apple 4k TV serving as my Apple Home Hub.
My Rating: I gave these bulbs 4 stars because of the ugly white base which is very strategically covered up in the main photo of this product! I didn’t notice the base until it was in my fixture and it was glaringly ugly. These were so new when I bought them there were no comments about the white base. Thankfully white is easy to paint, and with the Prime Day price it was worth it in the end, but this white base should be shown clearly in the product photos, not hidden behind a Govee banner!!! I have more two more fixtures that could use these bulbs, but I will wait until the price is lower. I wouldn’t pay $60-70 for four of these bulbs, not unless you are ok with the white base as is or are lucky enough to have a fixture that has trim to cover the base.

They are larger than standard bulbs. I have a fixture with two sockets which lie parallel to each other. I can't put the cover on with these installed, but they work great.

White part of the bulb sticks out too much, and the sticker with the QR code is attached to the bulb and it looks ugly for something that is not meant to be removed. One of the worst app experiences ever. Making groups is a hassle and the animations are twitchy. Music Sync flickers obnoxiously. Other products from Govee have way more fluid animations.

These are awesome little light bulbs and they can get VERY Bright and VERY Dim depending on what you want. Compared to the base model Govee bulbs, these one’s are twice as good. The color seems way more accurate, color transitions are captivating, and brightness is far more adjustable.
I bought 8 of these bulbs so far. I’ve also already bought a tonnnn of Govee products. (Probably 20+ at this point) These are super easy to start using you just have to screw them in and watch em shine. Use the app for all the customization options of course.
The only thing that I’ll say is a real bummer with these is that they’re far over-priced. (Or else I would’ve bought 8 more to replace my other bulbs lol.) $70-ish for 4 light bulbs will always be INSANE to me but they got my money twice so who am I to say.🤷🏼♂️

I’ve been using many Govee products for a while now and have always had great experiences with them, so I was excited to try these new lights. They look great with a sleek, modern design that blends well into any room. The color options are vibrant and accurate, and the brightness levels are great, from a soft ambient glow to nice and bright when needed. I appreciate the range of warmth adjustment, which takes the appearance from cool daylight to cozy warm tones depending on your mood or general preference.
These lights are Matter compatible which made them easy to integrate with our existing smart home setup. They offer a large variety of scene modes and smooth functionality through the Govee app, with responsive controls and reliable performance. Setup was quick and straightforward, and they’ve been working without connectivity issues. They offer great value, especially if you find them on sale. They’re versatile, easy to use smart lights that work as expected and look nice.

I’m really impressed with these spiral LED bulbs. The twisted filament design gives them such a modern decorative look while still providing great lighting. They instantly made my lamp feel more high-end and cozy, especially at night when the spiral glow really stands out.
One of my favorite features is the adjustability. You can easily change the brightness depending on the mood or room lighting, which makes them super versatile for everyday use. I also love that they come with a remote, so adjusting the settings is quick and convenient without needing to get up. The brightness range is great too — bright enough to light up a room but also capable of creating a softer ambient glow when dimmed.
Another huge plus is that they’re Alexa compatible, which makes them even more convenient for smart home setups. Being able to control the lights with voice commands adds a really nice touch.
These bulbs work beautifully in table lamps, floor lamps, bedrooms, living rooms, or even decorative spaces like cafés and bars. Overall, I definitely think they’re worth the money for the combination of style, brightness, smart features, and convenience.
General Academic
As a longtime Govee user, these Edison-style smart bulbs are a welcome addition to the product line. The retro filament design looks great in exposed fixtures and pendant lights, and the clear glass really lets the spiral COB strips shine. Full RGB color changing plus tunable white is an impressive spec for a decorative bulb.
One thing to be aware of: the clear glass is extremely susceptible to fingerprints and smudging. Once handled, the oils are very visible when the bulb is lit. Use gloves during installation to avoid this, or plan on carefully cleaning them afterward. Minor inconvenience for an otherwise excellent product.

The Govee Edison Smart Vintage Bulbs have been an awesome addition to our home, and they fit perfectly into the ecosystem of Govee products we already use, from lights to temp sensors, humidifiers, and air purifiers. One of the biggest advantages is being able to control everything through a single app instead of juggling a bunch of different ones, which keeps things simple and consistent. These bulbs work exactly as expected from Govee—reliable, responsive, and full of customization options. The vintage filament style gives them a unique, eye‑catching look, and the RGB color‑changing plus tunable white features make them both fun and practical for any room. Let's get the elephant out of the room. This was very easy to set-up to my home Wi-Fi, not connectivity issues at all but it did require an account and to look at the box to see what model I had. Alexa connected immediately. Google Home / Assistant was a bigger pain to set-up and required multiple log ins to Govee Home and Assistant, but it worked. The color options, the themes, the hook up to music, easy enough. The bulb itself is neat to look at, and they're sure to get your guests notice. I am not a huge fan of the Govee App. I have used many of them, and there is something not fully intuitive about the app but it was doable. I got the color and brightness I wanted, eventually, and I dropped the bulb but it came out just fine. It seems to be built to last and under the right theme and/or color scheme, they can get really bright. just know they are a dad bit more fragile than traditional LED so you can see that beautiful filament looking pattern. These bulbs are such a fun upgrade for any room. The color options are vibrant, and I love being able to control them from my phone. Setup was pretty straightforward and didn’t take long. They work well with voice assistants, which makes things super convenient. The vintage style gives a cozy look even when they’re just on warm light. Brightness is solid and adjustable depending on the vibe you want. Overall, a great mix of style and functionality.

I am a huge fan these Edison bulbs. They’re definitely on the pricey side, but they’re also a great addition to my smart home lighting setup. They were easy to add to both the Govee and Alexa apps. I did run into an issue where two bulbs wouldn’t sync with Alexa, but removing and rejoining them through the Govee app brought them right back online.
What I really enjoy is how they blend that classic Edison look with modern smart‑home features. The color patterns feel almost endless. I usually keep mine on the night‑light setting, and that’s all I need to set the mood.
The bulbs look great exposed—soft, warm, and clean. They give off that vintage vibe without sacrificing brightness or clarity.
Once connected, they work smoothly with voice control and routines. Adjusting colors, setting timers, or switching scenes is quick and simple.
Whether you want warm white, cool white, or full color scenes, these bulbs can do it. They’re fun to play with and easy to match to any room vibe.
The only real issue I had was the initial syncing problem, but once fixed, everything stayed stable. Just something to be aware of.
These bulbs look amazing, feel premium, and bring a unique style to my smart home. They cost more than standard bulbs, but the combination of Edison aesthetics + smart features makes them worth it for me. I’m very happy with them.

My kitchen was the only room in the house where I couldn’t control the lights with Alexa, mainly because it uses a ceiling fixture with exposed filament bulbs—and let’s be honest, most smart bulbs are not exactly attractive.
Then I found these… and wow. These are exactly what I was hoping for.
They keep that classic filament look but add all the smart features. The color options and lighting effects in the app are impressive, and everything was quick and easy to set up. Now I can control my kitchen lighting with Alexa just like the rest of the house.
They are a little on the pricey side, but honestly worth it for the look and functionality. I liked them enough that I’ll be ordering a second pack to finish out my entire kitchen fixture.
Overall: Perfect mix of style and function. If you want smart lighting without sacrificing aesthetics, these are it.

These are excellent bulbs in a market already crowded with good options—and they still stand out. Installation was straightforward: screw them in, flip the switch, and they just work.
One thing I really like is how they ramp up when you turn them on. They feel more like old-school incandescent bulbs rather than the abrupt “snap on” you get with many LEDs. Setup in the Govee Home app was quick and essentially idiot‑proof. Connecting them to Wi‑Fi and experimenting with colors took only a few minutes, and connectivity has been solid. I’m not personally a fan of the app’s design, but it does the job, and support for Alexa and other platforms helps offset that.
Color output was a pleasant surprise—very vivid—and the maximum white brightness is honestly more than I need. I settled on the warmest white setting at about 50% brightness, which is still plenty bright for everyday use.
I’ve only been using them for about a week, so I can’t speak to long‑term lifespan yet, but they feel well built and high quality so far.

My wife loves the look of Edison bulbs and has been wanting to get some for awhile. She also loves Govee ever since we installed our outdoor lights (and our Christmas tree lights, our TV backlights, and our outdoor string lights for our canopy), so these were a no brainer! They screw in to a standard size light bulb socket, and connecting them to the Govee app is a breeze, however connecting them to SmartThings was a bit more hassle. If you do that, before you install them, I recommend taking a picture of the QR code so you can scan it, or a picture of the unique bulb code to enter manually, because once they're screwed in these are difficult to see.
In the Govee app, you can group as many of the lights together as you'd like (in our case we did all four) to control them as one, or control them individually. There are various pre-set scenes you can use, or make your own. If you want to create a party scene, you can set the lights to set music, but just know this feature is based on the device where the app is installed picking up the sound.
These lights look great in our living room, and my wife has already said she's considering buying more for other rooms.

Love the nice antique/future smart bulbs. Definitely would use this if I wanted an antique vibe. It is bright enough for me without the lamp shade. I also like that you can give a neon vibe to the smart bulbs because of the cob light that’s in the bulb. What I like too is that these light bulb’s diys are also compatible with other Govee light bulbs. A diy in one bulb is in most other types in other Govee light bulbs.
The only thing I wish it had is a deeper warm white to give it the option of having an antique look.

I’m not new to Govee products as I own several already in my home, so I was excited to see this new style pop up! The Edison light design is really beautiful and adds an entirely new vibe - they have a fun artistic look to them, which makes all of the color and animation options perfect when paired together.
Setting them up was incredibly easy. Since I already had the Govee app installed, I only needed to turn them on and click the + button on the app. It automatically recognized that I had new devices available and it took literally seconds to add them. It also gives you the option to add them to a group as part of that process, which is super convenient if you plan to place them all on the same setting.
I decided to test them in my kitchen, and the first thing I noticed is that they were definitely brighter out of the box than the bulbs I replaced, so I had no issues with their brightness. I did note one issue, however. One of the bulbs has slightly different colors than the other two, as you can see in my photo and video. They’re all set to the same color in the app, but one light is different from the other two.
I can fix it by using the color and brightness slider in the app, which works well when you have them set to a solid color, but you can’t do the same if you choose an animated scene setting. At least there were four in the box, so I was able to swap the light out. I figure I can use it elsewhere as a single where the difference won’t be noticeable.
All in all, I still highly recommend them.

This pack of bulbs is nice and easy to setup! I am new to the Govee device world since I typically use hue, but these are a much more reasonable price.
I will say that I agree with others that these bulbs do not get warm enough. I felt that the light was too cool and I turned it as warm as I could and still felt the light was too cool toned - and I was wearing rose colored glasses at the time! I just think these should be able to get a lot warmer, and I only use warm lighting in my house so I’m not sure how much I’ll use these.
But from a cost, setup, and control perspective, these bulbs are nice.

They came very well packaged like all Govee stuff does. These are larger bulbs, just something I noticed as soon as I open them so if you have something with a tight fit, they might not fit. I love the retro Edison bulb look while still being practical and useful.
I own lots of Govee stuff, most I bought, not got to review. Like all their products, it connected quickly and easily to my app. They are very bright if you want them to be, dimmer if you want. I love being able to control the color and brightness of bulbs from my phone. I have them in almost every room now, and I love how they are compatible with Bluetooth or WiFi.
You can’t go wrong with anything by Govee

What really stands out is the smart functionality. Being able to control brightness, color temperature, and schedules through the app is super convenient. You can go from a cozy amber tone to a brighter, more functional light in seconds. The app is easy to use, and pairing was quick with no issues - actually works with Siri/Home app.
The good brightness without not overly harsh, but definitely strong enough to light up a room or patio. I also appreciate how energy-efficient they are compared to Edison bulbs, so you get the vintage look without the high energy cost, they’re absolutely worth it.

Full disclosure, I am a huge Govee fanboy! I have so many of their products in my house, and they have become my go to for any smart lighting or smart plugs in my home. With a few exceptions, I think they have an absolutely excellent line up.
For convenience of taking a picture, I switched out the regular Govee lightbulbs that I had installed in my wife’s reading lamp, and tried these new Edison style bulbs instead. I demonstrated them to my wife, expecting that she’d ask me to put things back as they were when I was done. Instead she very much liked the esthetic, and asked me to keep the new ones in her lamp.
The ‘filament’ portion of the bulb is a sort of helix rotation in two strands. Kind of like when you see a graphic of DNA on TV! Looked cool. The color reproduction was reasonable. I’ve seen better and worse from Govee. The brightness was only 500 lumens, which is considerably less bright than the standard offering from this brand. But then again, this is supposed to be a more decorative look, and if it were too bright it would detract from that.
You’re not going to light a kitchen with this, but with multiple bulbs and the right setup there is plenty of flexibility here. And certainly for an over chair reading lamp, it is plenty bright enough for most applications.
I am partial to Edison style bulbs in certain decor. The fact that these give a full palette of RGB colors on the app is great, and there is a wide range of white options too from warm to cold (yellowish to bluish). We also tried the party mode which did an excellent sound to light effect too.
The Govee app makes it easy to add a lot of layers of control, there are dozens of ways you can control these lights and add them to a whole room or whole house set up. It’s intuitive and well done. My son is old enough to realize he can control various colors and options from Alexa, so I wanted my wife to be able to perform a simple return to default with a single command.
This newest addition to my extensive Govee lineup was fun, and I continue to be impressed by the huge range of well priced products this company has to offer.

This four pack of light bulbs worked great to replace the really hot vintage bulbs we used to have that finally started to go out.
These light bulbs took about 5 seconds each to pair and setup in the app. And being LED they’ll draw only a fraction of the power the vintage ones would draw.
We primarily will use these by the light switch on the wall but paired in the app to see how colors were. The colors will not be anywhere near as bright as the normal white/temperature settings. This is fine for us and was expected as this is the same on other Govee lights.
Very happy with these lights. They are lightweight but still have the high quality weight to them. The glass is strong. They look very cool.
If you’re looking for LED vintage light bulbs with your typical base then these are the way to go. I strongly would recommend these.

Bulbs do not get anywhere near as warm of a color hue as advertised. The white light photo uploaded is the bulb on the warmest setting. I’d argue it’s close to 5500k or 6000k which is still pretty white, probably not what you’d expect or want out of an Edison style bulb. When you switch the bulb to any color it’s not bright at all, even with the brightness turned all the way up. Red bulb picture is with the brightness full. Love Govee but would not recommend these bulbs.

THESE BULBS ARE INCREDIBLE! They come with many preset color changing scenes, easy install, and easy into the App. I cannot recommend Govee enough!! The products, company, and community are all amazing... If you are having trouble getting the color or effects you are trying for just part it into the community and help will quickly follow! all that and Alexa turns them on and off for me!
