This lamp is very nice, it was not a very necessary purchase, but if I liked it. it has many color designs and the quality is fine. The price feels a little high, it depends on how much you like the colored lights, if you are a fan of lights if I recommend it.

Beautiful lamp
I adore this lamp. In fact, when it arrived, I loved it so much that I bought a second one the same day. There are so many settings and color schemes to choose from and it’s the perfect size for a desk. The design is so aesthetically pleasing and the lamp feels heavy and very well made. I love that I can use the buttons on the lamp or my phone to control it. As someone who tends to forget to turn lights off when I leave a room, this can be very helpful. The app takes a bit to familiarize yourself with, but the buttons in the lamp are very easy to operate. Overall, it’s a great quality lamp and I’m really glad I bought it.

little details like the light reflecting base stand out. The quality of the rgb is on par with my corsair rgb ram modules and keyboard while greens are washed out the rest of the spectrum is quite good with the right settings. If your like me and appreciate the ability to customize things you will enjoy this. its a low key desk lamp lava lamp and nightlight all in one. On top of its many other functions, I've managed to make 5 of my own custom settings that I still realy enjoy weeks later. I don't even have an Alexa I just use my android phone to control it. The app is quite robust. though my girlfriend found it a little tricky when she tried making her own custom settings and got a little lost. Don't give it to somone who needs or likes simplicity or hates the idea of controlling something with a phone. Though it does have buttons so in a pinch you don't even need the app or your phone to turn it off or on.

I love everything related with this brand this lamp didn’t disappoint to the point the days later getting this I bought the JBL partnership lamp/speaker 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Be aware this is the Table Lamp version!!!! Functionality is top tier through their app you have access to a huge amount of features, extremely easy to use, plug in device, several lighting options. No battery needed. Additional functions touch on no buttons needed. Doesn’t flicker but if you want it to flick there’s an effect you apply through the app with AI function.

Looks cheap, very few settings, and it does not project a lot of upwards light. I don't get many more settings in the Govee app. I basically use it as a touch lamp to turn it on and give it whatever color effect I want manually. Apple HomeKit recognizes the light when I say "hey Siri turn on the main bedroom lights" and they go on to the last light setting.

Upgraded my desk setup without a lot of effort
I wanted something to add a little personality to my desk without going overboard and this lamp hits the right balance. The RGBIC lighting is the real selling point. Unlike basic RGB where the whole strip is one color, this one can show multiple colors at the same time which looks really clean on a desk setup.
The app works well, easy to navigate and the scenes and color options are more than enough to keep things interesting. I mostly keep it on a calm warm tone while I work but it’s nice to switch it up when I want something different.
It’s not trying to be anything it’s not. Good build quality, looks sleek, does exactly what you’d expect from a Govee product. If you want a simple way to add some ambiance to your workspace without a complicated setup, this is worth it.

Lots of light options!!! Love it!!
Love it so far!!! I got it a few days ago. The Govee app gives you so many light options. I love that Alexa will turn it on and off. There is also a bright white light option and softer light. A lot of the light options allow you to adjust the speed and the brightness.
It’s really cool. Better than expected.

Very versatile
I was looking for a bedside lamp that could be controlled remotely and still allow touch-control. This fit my needs perfectly as well as providing so many additional features. Settings, scenes, dimming; it does it all. Plus quite a few other things I know I'll never use. But its a great lamp at a great price point. I highly recommend it.

The Govee lamp is an easy way to add some spice to any space. There’s a wide range of color options, some that resemble lava lamps, and some that have many different effects. If you have other Govee products, you can sync them all up to the same scenes. It’s super easy to use and setup. Does not take up no where near as much space as my old lamp. I will note, that this lamp shouldn’t be used as a standalone lamp. The previous lamp I had on my dresser illuminated the dresser way more. If I need to do something in the dark, this is not bright enough to fully illuminate my dresser for those real tedious activities. You’d still need a brighter light for those kind of things. I own many Govee products and would highly recommend this lamp, as long as you don’t expect it to fully illuminate an entire workspace alone.

Update: Govee reached out to me and worked with me to solve the issues I was having. Now the light is bright and the Matter connection is reliable! Great company with great customer service. If you run into issues with Govee products, I would encourage you to reach out to these guys. They care about their customers and their products. Because of this experience, I will be buying more Govee products in the future!
The design and build quality of the Ovee RGBIC Smart Table Lamp 2 are genuinely impressive. It feels solid, looks great on a nightstand or desk, and has a modern aesthetic that easily fits into a bedroom or living room. The touch controls are responsive, and the lamp itself seems well-constructed.
Unfortunately, the performance doesn’t live up to the hardware. The colors all run extremely cold, even when choosing warmer presets. Instead of cozy ambient light, everything skews blue or harsh which makes it difficult to use as a relaxing bedside lamp. The 64 scene modes look nice in theory, but the color temperature issue undermines their usefulness.
The other problem is the Matter connection, which has been very unreliable. It drops from my smart home setup frequently, sometimes refuses to reconnect without a reset, and doesn’t behave consistently with Homekit. For a lamp marketed as smart-home friendly, the instability is frustrating.
Overall, the lamp has potential thanks to its excellent physical design, but the cold color profile and flaky connectivity make it hard to recommend at this price.

I will start by saying… this has been one of my favorite purchases of this year. How can a little lamp bring someone so much joy? Idk. I work from home and look forward to changing the light pattern every day via the app. I love having music on and watching it sync up with my music. I enjoy using the AI function on the app to create custom light patterns for whatever mood I’m in. It’s just been extremely entertaining and gives me some dopamine during my workday and adds to the overall vibe and ambience of my office. No regrets at all!! Beautiful lamp. Easy to control with and without app. Colors look amazing, so many presets you can choose from. Much brighter than expected, and can be used both for decorative and functional uses, since you can also set the light to a normal white/yelowish color for basic use. Overall, I was impressed by it.

Great for music during showering, and as a night light with the flame mode. Has good sound, and Govee helped replace a bad unit that I was shipped that refused to power on. Like all Govee products, easy to use in the app, and great customer service!!

I’ve been a big Govee fan for awhile and absolutely loved their first table lamp so when the second gen came out I had to get it. Love how modern it looks now and the great light it gives off. A bit on the pricier side but Govee is a quality brand. The app is also fantastic. My cat approves of it as well.

This light was so easy to set-up and is so versatile and fun. The design and look is sleek and modern. It has almost endless options to customize the light settings via the Govee app. I can easily control it with my Alexa devices and include it in routines, which makes it super practical. I have had a lot of fun going through the various customizations available in the app. There is even an AI section where it will design a setting based on what you ask for. It works surprisingly well and if you like the result there is a way to save it in the custom design (DIY) section. There is another section, called finger sketch, where you can basically draw what you want the light to display. It is quite pixelated but it was fun to play around with. I found this light to be quite expensive, but I’m still mostly glad I bought it. I recently saw it on sale for $20 of during Prime Days, at that price it is a must buy!

Looks pretty, needs more on-lamp controls
This looks really nice in my daughter's room. It let's her customize the ambience. There are a variety of touch lights for sale but many seem to have only one touch sensitive zone whereas you can easily control fixed color and scene modes on this right from the lamp itself, and all the modes are dimmable which is not always the case on cheaper lamps, so that's good.
There is some functionality only available in conjunction with the app which is understandable because the lamp does a lot (good), but I with Govee would do a firmware update to allow going into the audio responsive modes directly from the lamp -- maybe hold the scene button to switch into audio mode after the lamp is turned on. It's annoying that you need the app to do that.

Updated review: after reviewing the settings on the lamp i found what the issue was. There is a setting called "bedtime switch" and if you pat the lamp between a set time period it would turn the light on. Apparently even bumping the nightstand hard enough it would turn the light on. So make sure you check this setting if you find the light keeps turning on during the night.

I have the original table lamp and decided to get the 2 one. I've had it for a few days now and I had to unplug it because it keeps turning on at random times. In the last 5 minutes it's turned on 4 different times and I have to keep shutting it off.
